First Letter
あるじさまへ
虎を倒せるくらいに強くなりたいと頼んだら、
僕は懐かしの越後に連れて来られてしまいました。
懐かしいとはいえひとりぼっちで、不安で泣きそうになっていると、
優しく声を掛けられました。
振り返ると、そこにいたのは景虎様……上杉謙信公で、あまりにも懐かしくて、
つい大声で泣き出してしまって。
こんな調子で、僕は本当に虎を倒せるようになるんでしょうか？

Dear Master,
When I requested to be strong enough to defeat tigers,
I was brought back to the nostalgic Echigo.
Although it was nostalgic, I was all alone. When I was about to cry from anxiety,
a kind voice called out to me.
When I turned around, Kagetora-sama... Lord Uesugi Kenshin was standing before me. Overwhelmed with nostalgia,
I couldn't help but burst out crying.

景虎様に、虎を五匹倒すにはどうすればいいかと尋ねたら、笑われてしまいました。
日本には虎は住んでいないし、仮にいても僕に倒せるのは子猫がいいところだろうと。
僕が泣きそうになっていると、代わりに一つ提案をされました。
越後の虎と呼ばれている景虎様と稽古をして、
合計で五本とれたら虎を五匹倒した事にしても良いのではないかと。
虎じゃなくても、景虎様も相当お強い方です。果たして僕は五本取れるのでしょうか？

あんなにお強かった人が亡くなられてしまうなんて、僕には信じられません。
五本取ることはもうできません。
まだ、三本しか取れてなかったのに。
それでも、景虎様に強さをいただけた気がするのは気のせいでしょうか。
あるじさま、そろそろ帰りますから、本当に僕が強くなれたか、確かめてください。

I no longer have the chance to take him down five times.
I only managed to take him down thrice.
Nevertheless, if I am not mistaken, I do think that I managed to obtain some part of Kagetora-sama's strength.
