  1. The Colonise Game System ———— Version 1.0
  2.
  3. Designed by Chris Richardson
  4.
  5. Colonise is a Game System which bases the game around Realms and Provences. Each Player has a single Realm which is made up of multiple Provences, they can expand their Realm in a variety of ways like colonising new unfounded territory or declaring War.
  6.
  7. The game can be played by up to 3 players but 2 players is recommended. One Player is known as “The Watcher” and is the one who has control of the Dice.
  8.
  9. —— Starting the Game ——
  10.
  11. To begin the game the Player must choose a single Provence, which automatically spawns a Castle as a base.
  12. The first Player then takes their turn. At the beginning of a turn a 6-Dice is rolled, depending on the outcome of the roll depends on if your realm faces any problems. Afterwards the Player is free to do a variety of things:
  13. Build
  14. Many different buildings can be constructed in each Provence, however only one building per province can be built per turn. Each Building takes 1 turn full turn to build and special buildings take 2 full turns.
  15. Move Units
  16. Units can be moved to another Provence to ether attack or settle other Provences, but they can only move to one other Provence per turn.
  17. Attack
  18. Armies or Single Units can be used to attack and potentially take over other Provences. If an Enemy has an Army in a Provence you're moving to, both Armies automatically engage in the Battle Event.
  19.
  20. After the Player has done his turn and declared he has ended his turn, the next Player is allowed to take their turn. This process repeats until all but one Player has been defeated.
  21. Once the Player begins his turn, the Resources are revised to take in any additional resources from buildings.
  22. Once the game begins, all Realms begin with 5 Wood, Stone and 10 Gold.
  23. —— Events ——
  24.
  25. —— Player Caused
  26. Battle Event
  27. Battles are caused when 2 opposing Armies meet in a single Provence, when a Player enters the Provence they automatically enter a Battle.
  28. The process of a Battle is simple:
  29. If the Invader’s Army has less troops than the enemy then half of the troops are destroyed and the Army flees to the Provence they moved from and become unusable for 1 entire turn.
  30. If the Defender’s Army has less troops than the enemy then the entire army is defeated and the Invader has the choice to return to their original Provence or enter the Siege Event.
  31. Siege Event
  32. Sieges are where an Invading Army attempts to take a Provence. This Event is automatically triggered if a defending army is defeated and the Invading Army is still present.
  33. If the Invader’s Army has an attack greater than the Castle for 3 turns then the Provence becomes part of the Invader’s Realm.
  34. If the Defender’s Castle has a greater attack then the Invader’s Army then half of the Invader’s Army is destroyed and returns to the Provence they moved from previously.
  35. If there is no Castle, then after one full turn the Provence becomes part of then Invader’s Realm.
