Description:
Slender, ratty man. Moves with the studied economy of a born spacer, but struggles under gravity - especially while lifting weights or moving objects. Has a bad habit of dropping items in midair when he's outside a micro-gee environment.
His prosthetic right arm is a shaded clear blue. Several sets of initials are carved into the bicep area and crudely filled-in with epoxy. He occasionally picks at or fingers the area when lost in thought.
Very hesitant to take the lead outside of a critical emergency, yet thinks he can handle anything. Most of the time he's right. Only to a point though..
After seeing several operations (and financial opportunities) blown over excessive caution, he’s become much more aggressive and willing to gamble. While he doesn’t always consider risks to life and limb, he’s incredibly meticulous about his equipment and stores - it’s saved his life more than once. Quite a few others, as well. He will push for non-fatal risks to the crew over risks to stores (unless he has to clean up afterwards). He is poorly educated outside his specialist fields, however, and bad at “impractical” math.
    He enjoys medical work, but like most born Spacers hates “Station” life and can’t stand being on a planetary surface. Hawker is happiest living as a nomad.

Reputation:
Minor celebrity in Jovian, Belter, and Martian space - mostly in military circles. Decorated several times for bravery in medical recovery operations, and has rescued dozens of lost Spacers following battles in the Belt.
Considered a pirate, crook, and shady operator in S5/Terra-lunar space. They are correct.

Complications:
• Lengthy prison sentence (currently on "supervised parole") from the Saturnian government for smuggling stolen arms and fuel through Saturnian space. Not allowed to enter S5-owned ships or trans-Saturnian space. The trial was notorious for a few years; JMC blatantly interfered in the legal process. While the Saturnian government suspected the interned JMC citizens had committed piracy, they were unable to prove the case. Rather than hand it over to "neutral" (and bribable) Earthgov courts, they pressed lesser charges. Following his release, JMC sent Hawker to the Belt Operations Area. He took an interest in nursing during his recovery, and proved exceptionally apt at rehabilitating newly-cybered amputees.
• Friendly relations with BMU. Worked in the Rehabilitation and Surgical centers of the Phobos low-gee Experimental Cybernetic Therapy Center as an official diplomatic liaison from the JMC. Participated in joint operations with the BMU rescue ship "Scarlet Queen" and various other vessels during the Second Belter Conflict. Cross-trained as a pilot on operations.
• Prominent member of a joint BMU/JMC rescue mission during the build-up to the Second Belter Conflict. It uncovered evidence linking Earthgov forces to multiple illegal black operations and acts of sabotage in the Asteroid Belt. JMC used this as a pretext to withhold "military hardware" from being shipped to the Earthgov until both parties declared a cease-fire.
