  1. Gingitsune - A subspecies of kitsune known and named for their trademark silver, almost metallic hair.
  2.
  3. Gingitsune are most commonly found in areas associated with arcane power, as the main affinity in nearly all individuals
  4. is enchantment, and having an environment already saturated with magic is ideal for this.
  5.
  6. Gingitsune are also notable in appearance in that their bodies will almost never develop breasts past a C-cup, although there are exceptions. Gingitsune hair and fur is in an almost constant state of "bed-head", and it takes considerable effort on the part of the gingitsune to comb or brush it into a seemingly "normal" flattened state, of which most gingitsune do not bother. Instead of using growth hormones during puberty to grow breast tissue, however, their body will expand the rear and hips quite significantly, why this happens is not yet fully understood, current theories suggest that it may either be to accomodate childbirth, or is purely for sexual or aesthetic purposes.
  7.
  8. Gingitsune follow the standard "rule-of-tails" that normal Kitsune and their subspecies do, the more tails a gingitsune has,
  9. the more powerful magics it is able to command, although unlike normal kitsune, a gitsune with nine tails is regarded as
  10. significantly less powerful. Due to the nature of their work, blacksmiths are known to often partner up with such individuals
  11. and supply powerful enchanted weapondry and armor to mercenaries or wealthy armies. Tail growth on a gingitsune is partially based on age, they are born with 1 tail, grow a second by the time they are 12, going through puberty, which is generally when they start getting used to enchantment, will grow another 2, and then the 5th is normally obtained at ages 22-28, past that however, age has little to no effect on tail growth. Gingitsune will grow additional tails past 5 through mastery of their natural magics, 6 tails is considered a very skilled individual, 7 and 8 are considered masters, and in the event that a gingitsune attains all 9 tails, they are near-peerless in their ability to enchant.
  12.
  13. In terms of behavior, gingitsune are known to be quite independent and standoffish as opposed to the normal kind and warm
  14. nature of standard kitsune, they aren't neccesarily cold, but they won't act with much affection towards anyone other than
  15. whoever they consider to be family. Familal relations are often much like you would find in a normal human household, although
  16. it isn't uncommon to find the gingitsune in charge of the family, their independent nature doesn't necessarily fade with
  17. marriage or copulation, they are, however, known to be passionate lovers to their husbands, or in very rare cases, wives.
  18.
  19. Their hair and fur is valued as a rare luxury in most places, as it's luster, strength, softness, and silky texture is desireable for making undergarments and delicate clothing. Items enchanted by gingitsune are usually stamped with the enchantress' name, and for high profile enchantresses, a unique stamp that is made with magic, difficult to copy, and ensures it will fetch a high price. Some Gingitsune
  20. also take up blacksmithing or jewelrymaking as a secondary profession as it complements their enchanting aptitude, however, Gingitsune generally make poor smiths, as their physical constitution and strength is not particularly suited to swinging heavy hammers, the few who happen to be skilled at smithing and enchanting are very well known, considered masters of their craft, and only make a few pieces per year, as is also the case with skilled jewelers.
  21.
  22. Gingitsune generally find mates through business, a man (or in rarer cases, woman) will come to them in search of an enchanter
  23. and may find that the gingitsune strikes their fancy, and will attempt to court them, gingitsune will generally not respond
  24. with much attention until it is repeated enough for them to realize it is an active courting attempt, from which they will
  25. determine if the courter is suited to them and their tastes. Rarely, gingitsune will go out on a journey to find love,
  26. and will search for a person who sets their chill heart ablaze, even when this happens, however, the gingitsune will act
  27. fairly shy and almost apathetic in its flirtations, it takes keen senses to realize that a gingitsune is attempting to court someone.
  28.
  29.
  30. Lifespan of a gingitsune is projected to be 110 years of age, although very few have lived long enough to be documented well. They age slower than humans, and are expected to often outlive human partners, except in rare cases.
