  1. Sagacious Hammer was never all that remarkable before he Exalted. Sure, as one of the Selectmen of the new nation of Shanarinara, he had the responsibility of the city on his hands, and did his job fairly well, being the smoothest talker in his little village. His experience with the Council left a deep, indelible impression on his mind, something that would drive him on later in life.
  2.
  3. His exploits were none too remarkable. Sure, he was the one who initiated the heliograph network proposal, and he did vote for the Guild to come in to get the Jade, but there was something not right when it came to issues regarding soulsteel. Something in him demanded that the nation not deal with the accursed stuff. But no one would listen to his impassioned speeches.
  4.
  5. Then came the big decision regarding soulsteel. Did they agree on letting the convenient Gradafesese deal with the soulsteel, or what? He opposed the entire motion altogether, suggesting they leave the black metal alone… … … which wasn’t enough to sway the Senate. Sick of the indifference and lust for money, he did the unthinkable.
  6.
  7. He slugged the nearest Selectman. And then the whole Senate became a giant bar room brawl. Slugging left, right and center, he used his rage to take out as many Selectmen as possible, because they all agreed to let Gradafes deal with the soulsteel. It was a big and rowdy affair, and everyone went home with at least a broken limb or a cracked rib. The decision was postponed until everyone was well enough to vote.
  8.
  9. There was also another reason why they postponed the vote. A golden light was seen illuminating the room, and on the his forehead shone the feared mark of the Chosen of the Sun. Those who were not injured screamed in terror as they realized what was going on, mistaking him for the Bull of the North. Those who did not manage to run away fainted from shock.
  10.
  11. He was given the same treatment most newly Exalted Dragonbloods were given: He was recommended to seek his fortunes elsewhere. Though for some reason, they treated him a little bit more fearfully than most Dragonbloods.
  12.
  13. And so he left his home, completely unsure as to what he was to do. And rather conveniently, he stumbled onto a shrine that was being cared for by the Cult of the Illuminated. He learned all sorts of things there, something he is grateful for. Unfortunately, at the end of his training, his wanderlust came again, and he waved goodbye to everyone he met there. He still keeps in contact whenever he passes a Cult-owned shrine.
