WHAT IS THIS MADNESS?
Quite simply, its a tournament where champs face off against each other with ebin mememons to struggle to the top of the brackets to gain the fame that is Master Champ of Showderp
Who is the champ of the chimps? The lamp of the limps? The scamp of the shrimps? IT COULD BE YOU


When's this shit happening?
Starting today, May 22nd, I'll be taking entries for the tournament and I will continue to take entries until May 25th. On may 26th (monday), the champs who entered will be annouced and I will start handing out the teams to the champs who entered. The tournament will officially start on the weekend of May 31st and continue until all the matches are completed.


Rules on Entering:
To enter the cup, contact the organizor (me, AvA-chan) on showdown, PLEASE REFRAIN FROM MUCKING UP THE THREAD. The following information will be needed when entering.
-Showdown name obviously
-trip that you use regularly if applicable but not required, not everyone uses the same trip everytime.
-time zone
-any limits on your schedule
-preferably a good internet connection
-six different species suggestions for pokemon to be placed in the pool
Your six suggestions will be private and held by me, please do NOT post them in the thread.
Rules for entering:
-if you're around showderp irregularly, be aware that there will be a time period where you will forfeit your match if you never actually show up.
-most likely taking place during peak hours, please no dead hours champs unless you can be around during peak hours



Suggested Pokemon:
On time of entry, each champ will give 6 suggestions of pokemon that will be added to a suggestion pool. To try and keep with the randomness of showderp, all suggestions will be placed in a pot and then randomly given out to the champs. While not quite as random as the suggestions in thread, it makes it so that champs who are disliked are not given shitmons by people in the threads. That being said, the champs who enter are free to suggest shitmons to be placed into the pot. However, remember that they may come back to you if you are unlucky. You must give 6 DIFFERENT SPECIES suggestions, however more then one champ may suggest the same pokemon, we simply won't know until its all put together.
Accepted Suggestions:
-pokemon name (rotom, alakazam, etc)
-full sets
-mememons (Snips, Blood Totem, etc)
-abstract sets (pokemon that doesn't use a STAB move, pokemon with only punching moves, etc)
Banned Suggestions:
-any and all ubers, keep it in OU
-pokemon that are lower leveled outside of F.E.A.R sets, nosepass/probopass/magnemite
-pick a card, jeopardy, the doctor, empty team slots, etc
-Poopybro and all variants because it is a shitty forced mememon
If a champ does not give a full set of suggestions I will take suggestions from the threads that don't make it into the teams at random.


Team Building:
When all suggestions are collected, they will be numbered and the numbers placed into random number list generator to form the teams.
For example
20, 13,7,4,8,19,16,2, etc
In this case, the first 6 would be the first team, the 2nd 6 would be the next team, and so forth.
In case of a team gettings 2 of the same mons, the 2nd suggestion will be "skipped" and bumped down into the next team, while the first valid suggestion below it will be place into the team.
The teams will be given out starting monday whenever I get a chance to get them to the champs. If a champ was wise, they'd get their team early to start planning strategies/sets.
If a champ gets a team calling for 2 different megas, a champ must have the mega stone on BOTH pokemon and decide which to mega in battle. Also, if a champ gets a pokemon that could be a mega and has no mega, they may use a mega stone unless an item is already locked by the suggestion.


The Battles:
The tournament will either start on the weekend of the 31st or once all champs have received their teams and are ready to go. IF A CHAMP NEVER SHOWS UP FOR A WEEK AND DOESN'T GET THEIR TEAM THEY ARE DISQUALIFIED. I'm trying to give enough wiggle room without taking weeks on end to get this shit started.
Champs will be placed into a bracket and the battles will occur whenever both champs are online. However if a champ repeatly doesn't show up (I'm thinking 3 days with no online activity at all) they will forfeit their round.
I hope anyone who enters will keep tabs on the showderp threads and look for me and my trip calling for matches. I'm not looking for you to lurk showderp 24/7, but please be aware.
A quick small rules for the battles:
-there will only be one battle to win your bracket. If you stroke, you stroke, and you are eliminated. No best of 3, no take backs.
-I, AvA-chan, must be present for the matches to keep track of the battles, collect the replays and make sure champs are using the correct sets
-If a champ disconnects, the timer will be activated. If the champ does not return, they will forfeit. Please be sure your internet is in good order. Shit happens, but if you 'disconnect' when losing and come crying back for a rematch, its simply not fair to the champ who was defeating you.
-If at any time a champ uses a set that they were NOT given, they will be 'impeached' for ignoring suggestions and promptly lose their match. This includes changing items that were suggested (such as using leftovers instead of life orb). That being said, there are a few loopholes to this rule:
1. If a pokemon doesn't have a solid set, example simply a suggestion of charizard, champs are allowed to change the set in between matches.
2. If the champ has a concept, example, "a pokemon holding an assault vest" they may change what pokemon is holding the assault vest inbetween battles as long as they don't remove other suggestions on their team
