* Onni show Battleguard Howling, as he slides it into the grave.

* Onni a soldier carrying an enchanted gun steps out onto the field. (1000/1000)

* AlexandraGrant 's eyes slowly widen. 'No...not now...!'
* Onni Fire Revolver, Glassjaw, Rose and Veil collapse into a vortex.

* Onni clenches his fist, as a stylized '86' appears on the back of his hand.
* Onni as a massive, white-armored warrior with a deerlike headcrest slams onto the field.
<Onni> The Noble Lancer! NUMBER 86! HEROIC CHAMPION RHONGOMYNIAD!
* Onni Rhongomyniad brandishes his lance at Neo Galaxy-Eyes, eyes glinting.
<Onni> Rhongomyniad gains a number of effects equal to the number of Materials he has!
<Onni> Rhongomyiad cannot be destroyed by battle. He gains 1500 attack and defense. He cannot be affected by other card effects. And you cannot Normal or Special Summon monsters.

<AlexandraGrant> None of that matters! It can't fight Neo Galaxy-Eyes with only 3000 ATK!
<Onni> Of course not.

* Onni Rhongomyiad jumps into the air, bringing the spear point-first towards Neo Galaxy-Eyes as he begins to descend.
<AlexandraGrant> I-I activate the effect of a card in my graveyard!
<AlexandraGrant> Gospel of Revival!
* AlexandraGrant 's card ejects from her graveyard as Rhongomiyad brings his spear into Galaxy-Eyes' chest.
<AlexandraGrant> When a Dragon-type monster would be destroyed, I can banish this card instead!
<AlexandraGrant> I protect Galaxy-Eyes from being destroyed!
* AlexandraGrant Galaxy-Eyes roars, grabbing the spear before it can drive into its chest any further...and ripping it out and throwing Rhongomyiad away as hard as possible.
* Onni Rhongomyiad goes tumbling back to Onni's side, picking himself off the ground and readying his spear.
<Onni> You still take damage.

* Onni is breathing heavily, hair disheveled as he clenches his fists.
<Onni> Turn... end.
* Onni '...I don't know what else Alex can throw at me. I've put down every card I have just to get Rhongomyiad to that level... but the same is true of her and Neo Galaxy-Eyes.'
* AlexandraGrant on the other hand has....deflated. All of her determination and anger from a few minutes ago is just gone from her. She looks dejectedly at Rhongomyiad and at her own monster.
<AlexandraGrant> ...

* AlexandraGrant wordlessly draws.
* AlexandraGrant takes in a couple breaths as she looks at her drawn card, then at the field. '...I can't...'
* AlexandraGrant places the card into her disk.
<AlexandraGrant> Set one card, turn end.
<Onni> ...Draw.

* Onni '...This is overkill. Isn't it. But... I... I can't show any mercy to Alex. Not with Neo Galaxy-Eyes on the field.'
* Onni 'I wish I didn't have to do this, but...'
<Onni> I activate Overlay Vortex.
<Onni> When an opponent controls an Xyz Monster, and I control only 1 Xyz Monster of my own... I can take all Xyz Materials from your monster, and attach them to mine.
* AlexandraGrant barely reacts, but she looks up, mutely surprised.
* Onni Rhongomyiad jumps past Galaxy-Eyes, snagging its two Xyz Materials.

* AlexandraGrant Neo Galaxy-Eyes swips at Rhongomyiad to no effect, losing its last two overlay units (OLU: 0)
<Onni> ...I activate Rhongomyiad's effect.
<Onni> When it's equipped with five overlay units, once per turn, I can destroy all cards my opponent controls.
<Onni> Rhoongomyiad... Meteor Dive.
* Onni Rhongomyiad's spear glows with white hot light as he descends onto Alex's side of the field, crashing into the ground with a massive, earthshaking impact.
* AlexandraGrant the impact releases a shockwave that lifts Neo Galaxy-Eyes into the air and shatters it.
* AlexandraGrant 's red aura slowly fades -- Neo Galaxy-Eyes and her set card are gone. She has no field or hand.
* Onni the glow fades from Onni's eyes, as he goes from determined to... solemn and sad.
<Onni> ...
<Onni> Rhongomyiad. End it, but... don't hurt her too bad.
* Onni Rhongomyniad nods, rushing at Alex... and quickly spinning the spear around so that he jams the end of the handle into her gut.
<AlexandraGrant> ...
* AlexandraGrant closes her eyes and releases a breath as Rhongomyniad approaches. When she opens them again, a violet flash escapes them. A dark aura briefly surrounds her entire body and pulses outwards.
<Onni> !?
* AlexandraGrant then jumps forward before Rhongomyniad can spin his spear -- planting herself on the now completely solid blade.
<Onni> !!
<Onni> Alex, what are you-!?
* AlexandraGrant lets out a pained cough, but bites down and swallows it. She grabs the handle of the spear and pulls herself on to it, driving it fruther into her. There's a LOT of blood coming out in a hurry now.
* Onni there's panic in his eyes as his brain struggles to catch up with what's happening.
<Onni> Alex, what on earth are you doing!?
* AlexandraGrant holds herself on the spear for a couple seconds more, letting out a blood-soaked cough. Then, very quickly, her movements slow to a stop and she's just hanging there.
* Onni takes a step forward, his voice trembling.
<Onni> Alex...? Alex, hey, come on... this isn't funny.
* Onni hurriedly coming over, his heeart racing. No, there's no way... she... she can't be-
* AlexandraGrant Rhongomnyiad fades after a moment. Alex falls and hits the ground, motionless.
<Onni> Alex. ALEX!
* Onni kneeling down on the ground beside her. Shit... shit...!
* AlexandraGrant 's eyes are closed. No movement. No pulse, if he checks.
* Onni he does, after a moment. The panic is starting to set in, as he looks around.
<Onni> How did... why...
* Onni he reaches oout to try and pick her up. He's got to get her to someone who can help. Anyone.
* AlexandraGrant ...something pulses faintly on her body. On her arm.
* Onni ...oh no. Oh no no no no no-
* Onni checks her arm.
* AlexandraGrant it's a violet mark.
<Onni> ...No, no no no. Shit... she didn't....
<Onni> She wouldn't...!
* Onni his eyes widen as he takes a step back, fear and comprehension crashing into him.
* AlexandraGrant 's eyes snap open. A violet light engulfs her body and climbs into the air, forcing Onni backwards.
* Onni shields his face, unable to look away.
* Onni skidding back into the grass.
<Onni> Alex...! ALEX!
* AlexandraGrant the pillar of light shrinks back down, slowly, eventually vanishing entirely. When it does, Alex is back on her feet. Black robes with blue accent cover her body. A red mark burns itself into the right side of her face. She opens her eyes.
* AlexandraGrant they've gone pitch black.
<Onni> Alex...?
<Onni> Can you hear me, Alex...? Come on. This isn't you. We know this isn't you.
* Onni taking a hesitant step forward, body tense.
* AlexandraGrant slowly raises her arm. The mark of the astronaut is pulsing brightly on it.
<AlexandraGrant> .....ech.
* AlexandraGrant sweeps her other hand over it. The mark just goes out right there.
<AlexandraGrant> No thanks. Just stay asleep this time, big guy.
* Onni ...standing there, staring at you, Alex.
* AlexandraGrant glances at Onni, like she's just now noticing him.
* Onni freezes, breath catching in his throat.
<AlexandraGrant> Oh. Yeah. That was kind of a screw you, jumping on your spear like that, huh.
<AlexandraGrant> Well. Y'know. Gotta break a few eggs and all.
<Onni> ...Why...
<AlexandraGrant> ....what?
<AlexandraGrant> It's not obvious?
* AlexandraGrant stretches her arms out.
<AlexandraGrant> I'm gonna eradicate the Astral Race.
<AlexandraGrant> See ya.
<Onni> ...!!
<Onni> Alex, NO!
* AlexandraGrant gives Onni a wave on turns on her heel.
* Onni stepping forward, fists clenching.
<Onni> You can't just-
* AlexandraGrant turns and throws a haymaker into Onni's jaw.

<AlexandraGrant> I can actually do anything I want, now.
* Onni stumbles back, dazed for a split second.
<AlexandraGrant> Thanks to you.
<Onni> I won't let you just go out and eradicate a whole race!
* Onni wheeling back, eyes flashing, preparing to summon the Gigantech Armor.
* AlexandraGrant brings her arm up. Her hardlight disc appears.
<AlexandraGrant> Even if you had half of the strength or a tenth of the balls to back that up.
<AlexandraGrant> I don't need you anymore, so, bye.
* AlexandraGrant flicks a button on the disc. She vanishes.
* Onni swings at where you were, a split-second too late.
<Onni> ...
<Onni> Dammit...
<Onni> DAMMIT!
* Onni slams his fist into the ground, gritting his teeth.
<Onni> <Rhongomyiad> ...Ser Onni, I tried, true to my name, I wasn't going to-
<Onni> I know you weren't, Rhongomyiad.
* Onni ...he gets to his feet, shakily.
<Onni> <Rhongomyniad> ...She has caused you much grief. <Onni> I'll be fine. <Rhongomyiad> You're clearly not. <Onni> I'll. Be fine.
<Onni> <Rhongo> ...Do you plan to go after her?
* Onni ...sighs.
<Onni> ...I don't know.
<Onni> Someone has to, huh?
<Onni> ...But not right now.
<Onni> Right now, we finish making the Barians' home safe.
<Onni> Then we tell the Signers.
<Onni> Tell them... a Dark Signer has risen again. And that she plans to do to the Astrals what nearly happened to the Barians.
<Onni> And next time we see her...
<Onni> We're enemies. And I won't feel so bad about bringing my full strength against her.
<Onni> The Alex I knew decided she'd rather throw herself onto the tip of a spear than make nice.
<Onni> So there's no grieving. There's just the next mission.

* Onni starts to walk away, eyes narrowed, jacket billowing.
