All his life, seventeen-year-old Logan Whitmore was led to believe he and his mother were on the run from the law, but after an encounter with a small band of outsiders and assassins, who claim they know the truth behind Logan’s past, he begins to question what he thought he knew.

Confused and on a quest to know, Logan prods his newfound friends for more information. But, little does he know that a few harmless questions could reveal knowledge that would change his life, both for Logan and his mother – one where they will have to become killers, or be killed… And once he learns this knowledge, it can't be unlearned. His friends are genetically engineered and part of a shady organization that kills people who will become threats in the future, and his mother used to be one of them.

Now, it’s up to Logan to decide whether he wants to join forces with these assassins, the people who had forced his mother into hiding in the first place, or become one of the hunted, and go back on the run. Will he find out the whole truth? And more importantly, will he survive?
