Nishiki + Orochi C-S

[I remember watching this in a documentary about this: bonito are basically dried fish that are compressed into compact lumps that look like pieces of wood. Usually seen commonly as bonito flakes which are sprinkled on top of takoyaki/okonomiyaki]

Orochi: Hm? What’s wrong Nishiki? Loitering around the town.
Nishiki: Ah Orochi! The truth is, I’m returning a favour to the townspeople right now.
O: Returning a favour?
N: Yup. As thanks for sharing their food with me a while back they asked me to look for a lost pet cat but I can’t seem to find it….

O: Hm.  It looks like it’s really attracted to the bonito. So for now it seems like we can’t move it.
N: …hm? What’s a bonito?
O: You don’t know what bonito are? It’s what I made that carving out of.
N: Hmmm…. Is that what drew all the cats here?
O: Yes. After all, cats love bonito.
N: What… so that’s what it was. It smelt nice because of the bonito.
O: To add to that they really thought of you as a friend. It’s the first time I’ve seen it work so well. Anyway, good for you. You found the cat you were looking for.
N: All thanks to you. Thank you!
O: Not at all. Well then I’m looking forward to you paying back those people.
N: Yup, leave it to me!

O: Yup, its more than enough. That aside, seeing you buried in cats was a sight to behold. Hehehe….
N: …………That was horrible. I really hope… you didn’t give that bonito to be just to see that happen.
O: O-Of course I wouldn’t… hehehe…..
N: Really…? But, it’s the first time I’ve seen food that looks like wood.
O: The place you were living was pretty isolated. In the middle of the mountains.
N: Yup. I didn’t think that many cats were going to come. It was horrible being buried in cats but playing with them is fun.
O: Yes. Only people like you would say that so simply after being knocked over and getting back up. Well then should I lend you my bonito again? It’s effective if you want to play with cats.
N: Do you bring that around with you for that reason?
O: Yes because I love cats. So in order to lure them out I make these from time to time. That being said the cats get really full from it… so I have to do it in moderation….
N: I see. It would be worrying to get covered in cats again, so I won’t use the bonito. It’s more fun to get to know and play with one cat.
O: I guess that’s good too. Befriending one with one’s own efforts is fun in itself!
N: Yup, I’m going to do my best!

O: Oh, it seems like you’ve been completely won over by the cats’ charms.
N: It’s frustrating to admit…. But their fur is almost as beautiful as mine! Their paw pads are so soft and squishy….very formidable.

O: Nishiki… it seems I have fallen if to your trap!
N: Hehe, sorry. Sorry.
O: Hehehe… that being said you have an aura that matches the cats.  To feel so healed even though I have no worries… could it be because you’re quite similar to a cat?
N: Hm? Really? … in that case if I stay with you, will your be at ease?
O: Hmm? Well, I guess so…
N: If that’s the case I’ll be by your side every day so that you can feel at ease.
O: What did you say?
N: I… like you Orochi. So if I can make you feel at ease. I want to be with you forever.
O: Nishiki…! I see… I guess it was because I liked you. Now that you’ve said it I realised… that’s why I can be at peace…
N: Does that mean!?
O: Yes… it seems that we both feel the same. Nishiki… please stay by my side from now on.
