  1. This is another Generation I glitch Trainer marathon, this time in Pokémon Red instead of Pokémon Yellow! I try it with just four level 100 Pokémon and a level 81 Zapdos.
  2.
  3. About half way through in the video, I make a few silly mistakes as I was in a rush and Mewtwo doesn't have Psychic, please excuse that. I also didn't like how an opposing 94, hex:F1 changed my fourth item; X Accuracy; hex: 2E to Lemonade, hex: 3E and this prevented me from being able to use TM23 effectively. I should have expected that to happen :/.
  4.
  5. Also, my own 94 got frozen and I wasn't able to restore its status due to freezes lasting forever in Generation I unless your Pokémon is hit by a Fire type move or faints. I didn't put the Gym Leader battle music on this time, I hope that's OK.
  6.
  7. Relevant codes:
  8.
  9. 01xx59D0
  10. 01xx5DD0 - Instant encounter with a Trainer, i.e. >C7/Pokémon with 5DD0's roster.
  11.
  12. 01xxD8CF
  13. 01xx5DD0 - Regular encounter with a Trainer, i.e. >C7 using Trainer 256's teams with 5DD0's roster.
  14.
  15. Note about the second set of codes:
  16.
  17. For some reason if you use a GameShark code in VBA to set both the D8CF value and D05D you may encounter a glitch Pokémon instead of a Trainer, even if the identifier is greater than 199. I worked around this by setting a D05D value with memory viewer.
