[21:02]	GM-Mizi	[After doing some grocery shopping in the village, Marisa Kirisame, the 'ordinary' witch, invite Kai over to her habitat. It's quite a walk from the village deep into Forest of Magic, but the serene atmosphere and a company of a blond mage is good enough to not let you think about the gruesome event taking place at the same forest yesterday...]
[21:03]	Marisa	whistles her whatever song as she skips happily along the path, swinging her shopping basket while doing so.
[21:03]	Kai	enjoys the passing scenery with barely-contained excitement given the beauty of the forest without cannibalistic little girls bashing people about.
[21:04]	Marisa	So hey. You like magic?
[21:04]	Marisa	is the one starting some small talk.
[21:06]	Kai	It seems awesome, at minimum.
[21:06]	Kai	There are plenty of tales of magic in the outside world, but nothing's quite as exciting as the prospect of wielding it one's self.
[21:07]	Marisa	"You have a wrong mindset, really!"
[21:07]	Marisa	pout.
[21:08]	Marisa	"We're not using it, we are /borrowing/ it !"
[21:08]	Marisa	"The magic is around us. We just ask them nicely to do the work for us."
[21:08]	Marisa	"Disrespecting magic like that, and they won't listen to you."
[21:09]	Kai	Ah, sorry.
[21:09]	Marisa	"Just to punish you for that--"
[21:09]	Kai	Eh?
[21:09]	Marisa	puts her basket in Kai's hands.
[21:09]	Marisa	"--carry this."
[21:09]	Marisa	laughs as she quickens her pace away from Kai.
[21:10]	Kai	Alright.
[21:10]	Kai	smiles and runs after her, careful to keep the basket steady.
[21:12]	Marisa	[Turning around the corner is a big clearing in the middle of the forest. At the center, there is a medium-sized cottage. This seems to be Marisa's, since she just walk in without knocking. But after a short while, you hear Marisa yelp in surprise.]
[21:12]	Marisa	"Wha-!"
[21:13]	Kai	Huh?
[21:14]	Marisa	facepalms.
[21:14]	Marisa	"I... forgot that you were here. Sorry."
[21:14]	Marisa	is talking to someone else in the house.
[21:15]	Kai	?
[21:19]	Marisa	"Well, this and that sorta happen and things goes like that and after that there's a thing after things..."
[21:19]	Marisa	"So I sort of forget about you. Sorry."
[21:20]	Marisa	put her hands together and bow, just like an indian doing 'namaste'.
[21:20]	SomeGirl	"I suppose I'm getting used to it by now. You will be you, after all."
[21:21]	SomeGirl	turns her head back to some sort of work at a corner desk, paying Marisa no more mind for the moment.
[21:21]	Marisa	"Hey look! I got something out of it at least!"
[21:22]	Marisa	pushes Kai inside.
[21:22]	Marisa	"Tadaaa!"
[21:22]	Kai	Bwah.
[21:22]	Kai	faces the new individual.
[21:24]	SomeGirl	turns her head back over to look at the newcomer. She's about Marisa's age in appearance, wearing a simple blue dress with not-so-simple blue and pink lace. Her short blonde hair is punctuated with a red hairband. Kai may notice if he looks hard enough that her fingers are all tied with different colored strings and rings.
[21:24]	SomeGirl	gives him a dull stare for the moment, belying very little emotion.
[21:24]	SomeGirl	"...What is it?"
[21:25]	Kai	waves, then bows.
[21:25]	Kai	Uh, Hi.
[21:25]	Kai	I'm Kai; pleased to meet you.
[21:26]	SomeGirl	doesn't wave back, and looks to Marisa instead.
[21:26]	SomeGirl	"What's a Kai?"
[21:26]	SomeGirl	folds her arms in front of her and twiddles her fingers absentmindedly.
[21:27]	Marisa	"Um... he's not a 'what' but rather a 'who', ze."
[21:27]	SomeGirl	groans slightly.
[21:27]	Marisa	"A magic enthusiasts I found in the village. He's a guy from outside the border, too!"
[21:28]	SomeGirl	"Ummph... Stop using that peasant's tick, Kirisame. I told you, it's beneath you."
[21:29]	Marisa	"Ahahahaha! Don't mind, don't mind!"
[21:29]	SomeGirl	[Kai may notice something poking at the back of his head]
[21:29]	Marisa	walks past the two, tosses the grocery into the kitchen and follows it along. Thankfully, there's no crashing sound follows.
[21:29]	Marisa	"You two get acquainted, okay? I'll be right back!"
[21:30]	Kai	folds his arms, a little unamused at apparently being confused for a thing. he looks behind him, feeling something prodding.
[21:30]	SomeGirl	"If you broke supper I'm not going to fix it for you, Marisa"
[21:30]	Kai	Alright. -huh?
[21:30]	SomeGirl	walks over to the bookshelf for now, still twiddling her fingers periodically.
[21:31]	SomeGirl	[Kai notices a flash of hair and fabric dart just out of his vision as he turns his head. The prodding continues.]
[21:32]	SomeGirl	[There is more prodding along his back, but more of a tug and less of a poke]
[21:32]	Kai	looks back at it while grabbing the space behind him as quickly as he can.
[21:34]	SomeGirl	[Kai grabs a little person! Or it looks like one, at least! It's a very lifelike doll of a fairy girl; the body of it is definitely ceramic, but of excellent workmanship. It squirms in his grasp.]
[21:34]	SomeGirl	"Put it down."
[21:35]	SomeGirl	says with her back turned to him.
[21:35]	Marisa	"Huh?"
[21:35]	Marisa	talks back from the kitchen
[21:35]	Kai	does so, and turns back to the girl.
[21:35]	Kai	Uh, was it this thing that was poking me?
[21:35]	SomeGirl	has a trio of similar dolls bobbing around her as she searches the bookshelf.
[21:37]	SomeGirl	doesn't answer. The released doll continues to tug at his shirt sleeves while another observes his outsider-world pants.
[21:38]	SomeGirl	[The dolls seem to be interested more in the clothes than the person inside of them, and before long they buzz off towards the girl.]
[21:38]	Marisa	"Aaaaaliiiiice! Did you just call meeeeeeee?!"
[21:38]	Kai	muses.
[21:38]	Marisa	yells, not getting an answer the first time.
[21:38]	Kai	I guess it was.
[21:39]	Alice	"No."
[21:39]	Alice	looks at the two dolls that were bothering Kai. They might be having a conversation if there were any words being spoken, but there are none.
[21:40]	Kai	I'm guessing you made them with magic and control them?
[21:41]	Alice	pulls at one of the strings on her fingers, and one of the dolls starts writing some kind of note before zipping off into the kitchen.
[21:41]	Alice	"Very observant."
[21:41]	Marisa	"Hey Alice! are you gonna stay over for dinner? I'm calculating the portions here!"
[21:42]	Marisa	"I'm guessing I'll need more than usual. A guy eats a lot, right? hahaha!"
[21:43]	Marisa	"Oh? A note..."
[21:44]	Marisa	silences. Only for half a second.
[21:44]	Marisa	"It's stew, Alice! stew! Why'd you have to pass me a note, Alice? we are not in a classroom!"
[21:45]	Alice	tugs at the same string on her finger again. The doll in the other room flips the paper over and writes "Because I can" on the other side.
[21:46]	Marisa	"Whoa! You know what I'm going to say before I do? Ahahahaha!"
[21:47]	Marisa	[more crash-bang-booms follows. Guess it's just Marisa trying to find her cooking gear in her messy kitchen.]
[21:47]	Alice	pulls a specific tome out of the bookshelf and begins flipping through it, walking towards Kai as she does but still not looking at him.
[21:48]	Kai	isn't averse to merely standing about but makes another push at basic conversation.
[21:48]	Alice	sighs and twiddles her fingers again. Marisa is soon receiving help from the three dolls that were waiting by the bookshelf.
[21:48]	Kai	Out of curiosity, how do you know Marisa?
[21:49]	Alice	reaches out and feels the fabric of Kai's shirt as if he's just a mannequin in a store.
[21:50]	Alice	"That is a very curious question."
[21:50]	Alice	mumbles to herself.
[21:50]	Alice	{"So much unnecessary processing during composition..."}
[21:50]	Kai	looks at her a bit oddly. Touch-feeliness from someone who hasn't even introduced herself is... unusual.
[21:51]	Kai	Huh?
[21:51]	Alice	brings another doll over to hold the tome while she makes a few notes on a leaf of paper.
[21:53]	Alice	calls out to Marisa from the other room.
[21:53]	Alice	"Will you be keeping it, then?"
[21:53]	Kai	asks aloud.
[21:54]	Kai	"Keeping it"?
[21:55]	Marisa	"Whahuh? Yeah I'm keeping him. He looks like fun, see?"
[21:55]	Alice	looks at Kai and "studies" him uncomfortably for a while.
[21:57]	Kai	stares back for a moment.
[21:57]	Kai	Um... I'm not an object, you know...
[21:57]	Kai	Or a pet.
[21:57]	Kai	. o O ( Have I made a huge mistake? )
[21:57]	Alice	abruptly stops looking, again saying nothing.
[21:58]	Marisa	exits the kitchen with three piping hot ginseng tea.
[21:58]	Alice	"Very well."
[21:58]	Marisa	"Naaah. You are nothing like that. You are my disciple!"
[21:59]	Marisa	"I really wanted one for a long time, see? I want to know the feeling Mima-sensei had when she looked at me."
[21:59]	Marisa	places the tray on the table.
[21:59]	Kai	Ah, I see.
[21:59]	Marisa	"Alice, you should be nice to him a bit more, okay?"
[21:59]	Marisa	"Keep him company and whatnot."
[22:00]	Alice	sits down as two of her dolls move the tea to the other two's places at the table.
[22:01]	Alice	[The doll in front of Kai squeaks at him in a cute little voice: "Sugar?"]
[22:01]	Kai	Uh, no thank you.
[22:03]	Alice	responds to Marisa:
[22:03]	Alice	"If you insist."
[22:03]	Alice	says it almost begrudgingly.
[22:03]	Kai	. o O ( She doesn't seem much like the sociable type, it seems... )
[22:04]	Kai	Your dolls seem incredibly useful.
[22:04]	Alice	[The dolls at the table fly away to continue preparing the stew in the other room.]
[22:04]	Alice	actually looks at Kai as she answers him this time. Her face is as plain as ever, though.
[22:05]	Kai	. o O ( ... Now that I think about it, she seems rather doll-like, too. )
[22:04]	Alice	"Quite."
[22:05]	Alice	adds after a small pause.
[22:06]	Alice	"The fabric of your shirt. It's over-processed. Is that normal in the Outside?"
[22:08]	Kai	Somewhat, I guess. A lot of fabrics are made out of multiple kinds of synthetic materials today, rather than just stuff like cotton.
[22:08]	Kai	Though I personally favor the latter.
[22:11]	Alice	"Your pants. A practical application of pockets, if unseemly."
[22:11]	Alice	is either not very good at conversation, or just doesn't like Kai.
[22:11]	Marisa	pokes Alice's side.
[22:12]	Kai	half-frowns. o O ( They surely aren't elegant, but they're not /that/ bad! )
[22:12]	Marisa	"Don't let out your inner doll-obsession be your first impression, jeez!"
[22:12]	Kai	They might not be elegant, but they're not ugly, either.
[22:12]	Alice	turns towards Marisa, but taps one of her fingers on the table, getting a doll to poke Marisa in HER side too.
[22:12]	Marisa	"Kyaha!"
[22:12]	Marisa	jumps.
[22:13]	Marisa	"Oh you. You brought this on yourself!"
[22:13]	Marisa	pokes some more.
[22:14]	Alice	squirms and grimaces, but a half-dozen dolls quickly zoom in from the kitchen and pull Marisa's wrists away.
[22:14]	Kai	sits back for the moment, watching the poke-war unfold.
[22:15]	Marisa	"Hey hey hey! That's cheating!"
[22:15]	Marisa	protests.
[22:16]	Alice	[One of the dolls breaks away from the pack and sits in front of Kai, staring at him with unblinking eyes.]
[22:17]	Alice	backs away from her chair, well out of Marisa's range.
[22:17]	Kai	looks back.
[22:17]	Kai	Hello there.
[22:17]	Alice	"Love... And war."
[22:17]	Marisa	"Gyaah! Just you waaaait!"
[22:17]	Marisa	's ass has been hauled back to the kitchen where she belongs.
[22:18]	Alice	[The doll looks at the other dolls around Marisa, and seemingly copying them grab's Kai's wrist as well. It's a strong grip but doesn't really pull him anywhere.]
[22:20]	Alice	calls out to Marisa as she leaves.
[22:20]	Alice	"Less salt! You always use too much salt!"
[22:21]	Kai	turns his wrist to offer an open palm to the doll.
[22:21]	Marisa	"I will add even more salt just because you said not to, Alice! Wahahaha! Take that for using your dolls on me!"
[22:21]	Alice	responds, flat-faced but with an audible air of superiority:
[22:21]	Alice	"You brought this on yourself."
[22:23]	Marisa	's laughter echoes through the house as she works on the stew's flavoring.
[22:30]	Kai	looks back up to Alice, leaving his palm for the doll still.
[22:30]	Alice	[The doll keeps holding on, but after a while lets go and looks at the palm. It's very interested in it, but it doesn't hop in.]
[22:31]	Kai	I hope the stew doesn't become a saltlick.
[22:31]	Alice	says and does nothing, eyes intent on the doll at the moment.
[22:33]	Kai	's eyes return to the doll as well.
[22:34]	Alice	[The doll starts grabbing at each of Kai's individual fingers in turn, moving on to the next one and the next one and then going back around again.]
[22:35]	Kai	smiles at it.
[22:35]	Kai	I'm guessing they're all self-aware or intelligent to a degree?
[22:35]	Alice	watches for about two and a half cycles, then sighs and flicks her pinky finger, sending the doll hovering back behind her head.
[22:36]	Alice	mumbles to herself, {"No, no, just a standard deviation... That's not significant..."}
[22:36]	Alice	looks back at Kai.
[22:36]	Alice	"They are not."
[22:38]	Alice	grabs the doll behind her head and turns it around in her hands. The doll goes limp, and she sets it on the table, motionless.
[22:38]	Alice	"A puppet. Useless, without its master."
[22:39]	Kai	I see.
[22:39]	Kai	processes for a moment.
[22:39]	Alice	motions for Kai to pick up the doll and observe for himself.
[22:39]	Kai	does so, inspecting it closely.
[22:39]	Kai	Uh, Does that mean you've been taking my measurements this whole time?
[22:41]	Alice	[The doll is like the other one was; expertly crafted but definitely artificial. This one is carved and shaped from wood.]
[22:42]	Alice	stares at him as if to say, "What kind of question is that?"
[22:42]	Alice	"...I have been recording, various things."
[22:42]	Kai	May I ask why, out of curiosity?
[22:43]	Alice	leans back in her chair.
[22:43]	Alice	"You are an Outsider, of course."
[22:44]	Kai	Just comparing differences then, I guess?
[22:44]	Alice	"I've not had a chance to study one thoroughly. Other Outsiders have..."
[22:44]	Alice	thinks about how to word this...
[22:45]	Alice	"...not been comfortable with staying still for very long, as you have. Is that a normal thing?"
[22:46]	Kai	Usually. Most people don't like their measurements being taken without being asked.
[22:46]	Kai	Also... Other outsiders?
[22:49]	Alice	"That is not a question."
[22:50]	Kai	pouts for a short moment.
[22:50]	Kai	You've encountered other outsiders?
[22:50]	Kai	emphasizes the plural bit.
[22:51]	Alice	"I have. They keep to themselves, which is understandable."
[22:53]	Alice	"Though they have the distinct advantage of being magically adept, which you, I think, do not have, as of now."
[22:53]	Kai	Who and where are they, if you don't mind me asking?
[22:54]	Alice	eyes Kai mysteriously for a moment, but says nothing about it.
[22:57]	Alice	"Kochiya Sanae, and the gods whom she serves. Located in Moriya Shrine, at the top of the grand mountain."
[22:58]	Kai	Ah yes, her.
[22:58]	Kai	Are there others?
[22:59]	Alice	"Remilia Scarlet, and those under her employ. Located in a mansion on the coast of the Misty Lake, oft-referred to by the population as the 'Scarlet Devil Mansion'."
[23:00]	Alice	"I have also heard rumors of a newly-arrived tanuki, but I have yet to make its acquaintance."
[23:02]	Alice	twiddles her fingers again subconsciously, but no dolls come to escort her this time.
[23:02]	Kai	Tanuki?
[23:03]	Alice	rolls her eyes. A stickler, is he?
[23:03]	Alice	"A bake-danuki, then."
[23:04]	Alice	"As I said, it is just a rumor."
[23:04]	Kai	huh... Alright.
[23:05]	Alice	seems to be getting a little bored. She retrieves her tome and starts paging through it again.
[23:05]	Marisa	"Alright!"
[23:05]	Marisa	tactlessly sits between Kai and Alice.
[23:05]	Marisa	"The rest is just to wait until it's ready!"
[23:05]	Alice	doesn't look up from the book.
[23:05]	Marisa	You two doing good?
[23:06]	Alice	"Fantastic."
[23:06]	Alice	monotones.
[23:06]	Kai	looks at Marisa and shrugs.
[23:06]	Marisa	"Great!"
[23:09]	Kai	sniffs the air, trying to get a read on the meal.
[23:09]	Marisa	"Okay, Kai. Wanna give it a go now?"
[23:09]	Marisa	winks.
[23:09]	Marisa	"Marisa's special magical crash course!"
[23:10]	Alice	looks up from her book skeptically.
[23:10]	Kai	Might as well get started now, I guess?
[23:11]	Marisa	"Outside, go!"
[23:12]	Marisa	pushes Kai outside, giggling.
[23:12]	Alice	motions with her hand and sends three dolls along with them to observe. This sounds very... Marisa.
[23:13]	Kai	smiles, happy to see his to-be instructor so enthused about this.
[23:17]	Marisa	[Marisa leads Kai outside to the back of her house. There's a small, grassy hill with winds blowing softly. The tranquility of this place is why Marisa builds her cottage here at the first place. From this hill, you can see Gensokyo's field stretching over the horizon. Evening light paints the landscape with orange hue. It's going to take a while, but the sun is steadily setting.]
[23:18]	Kai	... Wow, beautiful.
[23:18]	Marisa	"I know, right? Now find a good place to sit."
[23:18]	Kai	runs a hand through his hair to clear it from his eyes, then tying it back with a spare three hair ties.
[23:18]	Kai	finds a particularly comfy-looking patch of grass.
[23:19]	Marisa	"After that, drink this."
[23:19]	Marisa	presents Kai with a small green vial.
[23:19]	Kai	This some kind of magic potion?
[23:19]	Marisa	"Lipovitan-D."
[23:19]	Marisa	laughs.
[23:20]	Marisa	"Kidding! It's good for you though."
[23:20]	Kai	tilts his head, then shrugs and takes it.
[23:20]	Kai	Alright, Here goes...
[23:20]	Kai	-gulp-.
[23:20]	Marisa	"Close your eyes, then just... let it wander."
[23:21]	Marisa	's tone softens. It's as if Marisa is recalling something from long past, and relaying it once again...
[23:21]	Marisa	"Don't think. Feel."
[23:22]	Kai	takes a deep breath and closes his eyes, clearing his mind as best he can. Occasional flares of thoughts and flashes of concepts continue to go by for a bit, but eventually things essentially go silent.
[23:22]	Marisa	"Magic is all around you. They are in the air, in the water, in the grass you are sitting, in the food you are about to eat..."
[23:22]	Marisa	"Magic is inside all beings."
[23:22]	Kai	can't help but chuckle and respond.
[23:22]	Kai	Sounds a lot like The Force.
[23:23]	Marisa	"Shut up, you! I'm trying to be serious here!"
[23:23]	Marisa	kicks.
[23:25]	Marisa	ahems, then continue.
[23:25]	Marisa	"now put your hands before you."
[23:26]	Marisa	"Feel something? except the air itself, I mean."
[23:26]	Kai	flinches from the kick but quickly refocuses. He nods.
[23:28]	Marisa	"Good. now try to feel it."
[23:29]	Marisa	"Touch it. Pull it. Mess with it. Do whatever you feel like. Just get a feel of it."
[23:29]	Marisa	"This is important, okay?"
[23:31]	Kai	nods again, continuing his measured breathing while trying to draw out the warmth he feels in his palms and the energy in his veins. A small thought creeps though: Is magic really this easy to connect to? Has it always been, even in the outside world?
[23:33]	Marisa	"Now that you know it exists... how about you open your eyes now?"
[23:34]	Kai	slowly opens them.
[23:35]	Marisa	[The whole place is filled with green vowen threads of mother nature's magic. It weaves itself around you like a gentle embrace, tangles around your finger like a playful kitten. It fills your vision, overwhelming your sense. Everywhere you look, there are these thread of magical energy around, waiting to be... borrowed.]
[23:36]	Marisa	"Teehee! That special brew boosts your eyes' magic aptitude. I did this so you can really see it!"
[23:36]	Kai	looks around in amazement.
[23:36]	Kai	... Wow.
[23:38]	Marisa	fiddles with the magical thread and weave it into a small ball.
[23:38]	Marisa	"With training, you can use these to do things."
[23:39]	Marisa	"it's cool, isn't it?"
[23:39]	Marisa	laughs.
[23:39]	Kai	It is!
[23:40]	Marisa	"First step to use magic is to believe it exists. That's why."
[23:41]	Marisa	"You're going to see things for a while, so... have fun, I guess?"
[23:41]	Marisa	"I'll be nearby. If you can't see it anymore or just getting bored, tell me. We'll move on to the next step."
[23:42]	Kai	Just watch and observe, then?
[23:42]	Marisa	"Yup!"
[23:42]	Kai	Alright, then.
[23:42]	Marisa	lies down on the grassy hill, whips out her book and just shuts everything out of her mind.
[23:42]	Marisa	"..."
[23:43]	Kai	looks around for a while, intermittently trying to repeat what Marisa did. After a long while, he snickers.
[23:44]	Marisa	doesn't seems to pay attention. She's absorbed with the book.
[23:46]	Kai	. o O ( ... Is this what drugs are like? That would be kinda funny... )
[23:47]	Kai	eventually gets bored despite the wonder of it all.
[23:48]	Kai	stands up and walks towards Marisa, the lights no longer apparent.
[23:48]	Marisa	"Mn?"
[23:49]	Marisa	put the book asides for the moment.
[23:50]	Kai	It wore off.
[23:50]	Kai	It was really cool while it lasted, though.
[23:50]	Marisa	"Alright! Time for the next step!"
[23:50]	Marisa	sits back up.
[23:50]	Marisa	"Back inside, go!"
[23:51]	Kai	Alright.
[23:52]	Kai	strolls back towards the hut.
[23:53]	Alice	is still reading. Her dolls sit on the top of the tome and somehow tell her what happened outside.
[23:53]	Marisa	"Alice! Take care of him for a bit, will ya?"
[23:53]	Marisa	dashes past Alice.
[23:53]	Marisa	"Gotta check the dinner and prepare the second thing!"
[23:53]	Marisa	zips.
[23:54]	Kai	Hello again.
[23:55]	Kai	addresses Alice, with nothing else to do.
[23:55]	Alice	resents being "commanded" by Marisa, but says nothing about that.
[23:55]	Alice	"Hello."
[23:55]	Alice	"If you play with fire, be sure not to get burned."
[23:56]	Alice	says it rather enigmatically, but she's sure the message will strike home.
[23:56]	Kai	I'll certainly do my best.
[23:57]	Kai	noted the dolls exiting earlier, thus not finding too much surprise from her comment.
[23:57]	Alice	"House Moriya is rather accepting of humans who seek sanctuary, since you are obviously interested. House Scarlet, less so."
[23:58]	Marisa	"Alright, alright! move along to the second one!"
[23:58]	Marisa	rushes in with a stool.
[23:58]	Alice	"But House Scarlet holds far greater potential."
[23:58]	Marisa	"Siddown!"
[23:59]	Alice	"For you, that is."
[23:59]	Alice	is not interrupted by Marisa's shenanigans.
[23:59]	Kai	sits.
[23:59]	Kai	Uh, what kind of "potential"?
[23:59]	Kai	Magical instruction...?
[23:59]	Marisa	cracks her knuckles.
[23:59]	Marisa	"I really wanna try this for a long time!"
[00:00]	Marisa	"Alice! Marvel in my magical prowess!"
[00:00]	Kai	refocuses on Marisa.
[00:00]	Kai	What is this step...?
[00:00]	Alice	sighs as she closes her book. What is it THIS time?
[00:00]	Marisa	"I'll force your magical aptitude open!"
[00:01]	Marisa	touches his back with both her hands. The Mini-Hakkero in her mouth to boost her magic output.
[00:01]	Kai	notes the cannon.
[00:01]	Kai	Uh-?
[00:02]	Alice	flicks her wrist to ferry the dolls in the kitchen out of the possible blast radius. The dolls near her do the same.
[00:03]	Marisa	"HEEERE WEEEE GOOOOO!"
[00:03]	Marisa	pumps hard, concentrated magical energy into Kai in one go.
[00:04]	Kai	. o O ( Uh-oh- )
[00:05]	Alice	certainly hopes she doesn't break the vessel this time. It actually takes more finesse than she looks like she's using.
[00:06]	Marisa	"Puwah!"
[00:08]	Kai	suddenly and simultaneously feels like he has been struck by lightning, shot in the stomach, and stabbed with a near-lethal dose of adrenaline. His nose begins gushing blood uncontrollably and consciousness feels like it is slipping away after mere moments.
[00:08]	Marisa	"Gee, that doesn't look good...!"
[00:09]	Alice	sighs again.
[00:09]	Alice	"Do you want me to...?"
[00:09]	Marisa	"Nonono. Wait. Let me take notes."
[00:10]	Kai	's muscles tense, giving the appearance of electrocution, and surely enough, each one feels like it's on fire.
[00:10]	Marisa	scribbles Kai's symptoms.
[00:10]	Alice	"I'll be wanting to copy those later."
[00:11]	Marisa	"Find your own disciple."
[00:11]	Alice	"You mean you?"
[00:11]	Alice	gives her "a look".
[00:11]	Marisa	"Aw, c'mon, Alice!"
[00:11]	Marisa	pout.
[00:11]	Kai	sputters gibberish, only the tiniest fragments of curses actually intelligible.
[00:11]	Alice	"While I have your attention..."
[00:12]	Alice	hooks one of her fingers and calls a doll back, a larger note in its hands.
[00:12]	Alice	"I couldn't find these ones on the shelves."
[00:14]	Marisa	"Hm? I'll take a look on that later."
[00:14]	Marisa	's eyes are fixed on Kai at the moment.
[00:16]	Kai	finally crumples forward, barely keeping on the stool. He coughs and sputters, righting himself afterwards.
[00:16]	Kai	-cough- What the hell...
[00:17]	Marisa	"Oh hey! Cool!"
[00:17]	Marisa	"You are sort of alright!"
[00:17]	Marisa	helps him up.
[00:18]	Kai	barely manages to turn his head to even look back at her. Even that pushes his limits a little. When lifted, his 75kg weight is evident.
[00:18]	Marisa	"gee, you are /fat/!"
[00:18]	Kai	What the hell!-
[00:19]	Marisa	"I mean huge, but okay. Huge and fat is sort of separated by a thin line."
[00:19]	Alice	is looking at Kai with that "I told you so" look, but she drops it as soon as he glances at her.
[00:19]	Kai	coughs again. o O ( Dammit... )
[00:20]	Kai	Why did you do... that...?
[00:20]	Marisa	"With this you should have your own magical energy!"
[00:20]	Kai	tries to sound indignant but merely sounds weak.
[00:21]	Marisa	"I forced your nodes to open, since training's naturally gonna take a damn long time."
[00:22]	Marisa	thinks...
[00:23]	Marisa	"Hey! Know what? Let's hit you AGAIN! Then you'll be double-magical!"
[00:24]	Alice	"Or dead."
[00:24]	Alice	says from inside her book.
[00:24]	Marisa	"Oh. Welp. I can't fix that."
[00:24]	Alice	"Yet."
[00:24]	Alice	corrects.
[00:24]	Marisa	"Anyway, Alice. Gimme a hand here! He's /heavy/!"
[00:25]	Marisa	nnnnnnngh!
[00:43]	Marisa	tries to lift him p on her own. No use! he's too heavy!
[00:43]	Alice	"Find your own disciple."
[00:43]	Marisa	"This is not the time, seriously!"
[00:43]	Marisa	"I'll let you copy it, alright? Jeez!"
[00:43]	Alice	brings her dolls over to help lighten the load.
[00:45]	Alice	was about to return to her book, but it looks like her dolls are having trouble with the weight. She can be seen flexing her fingers like a puppeteer constantly to control them now, rather than her normal flicks and jabs.
[00:47]	Marisa	[The two finally put him down on the long couch (after clearing the junk on it) and let him rest.]
[00:47]	Marisa	"You okay, Kai?"
[00:48]	Kai	's words are laden with as much utterly exhausted wrath he can muster. It isn't much.
[00:48]	Kai	What do you think?
[00:48]	Alice	gets up from her chair and looks over Marisa's shoulder, interested in his reaction.
[00:49]	Marisa	"You look fit like a horse!"
[00:49]	Kai	... ugh.
[00:49]	Marisa	"Oh right the stew gotta check it and stuff so bye!"
[00:49]	Marisa	dashes away, leaving the crime scene!
[00:50]	Alice	keeps observing him in silence, thinking to herself.
[00:50]	Kai	almost crumples to the floor but corrects himself by leaning heavily on the table.
[00:50]	Alice	remembers something, and almost snaps her fingers before deciding not to.
[00:50]	Alice	"Marisa."
[00:50]	Alice	"Keep an eye on this one."
[00:51]	Marisa	"Why?"
[00:51]	Marisa	pokes her head out of the doorway
[00:51]	Alice	"The Border."
[00:51]	Kai	gives Alice a minor death glare. o O ( I should hope she would, after nearly /KILLING/ me... )
[00:51]	Marisa	"?"
[00:51]	Kai	is confused shortly after.
[00:51]	Kai	?
[00:51]	Alice	"If he broke it that means Ran's going to come fishing, if she hasn't started already."
[00:51]	Marisa	"Aw, jeez. Not her."
[00:52]	Alice	"It's protocol. You know how she is."
[00:52]	Marisa	"I'm busy as is, I don't wanna mess with the Yakumo crew."
[00:52]	Kai	... What?
[00:53]	Alice	"Then farm him out until the investigation is over. She's going to find him eventually."
[00:53]	Marisa	"Let's just deal with it when the time comes, I guess."
[00:54]	Kai	's voice begins to regain some of its edge, though raspy.
[00:54]	Kai	... Who is searching for me, now?
[00:55]	Marisa	"Some shikigami. No worries."
[00:55]	Alice	"YOU deal with them. I'm going to be far away when that woman comes knocking."
[00:55]	Marisa	"Awwwwww Alice! Aren't we friends?"
[00:56]	Kai	...
[00:56]	Kai	speaks in a monotone.
[00:56]	Kai	... Shikigami? A death god?
[00:56]	Alice	corrects her.
[00:56]	Alice	"ShiNigami."
[00:57]	Marisa	"Uh. yeah. that. Tongue twister stuff."
[00:57]	Kai	What is that, still?
[00:58]	Alice	"A spirit servant."
[00:58]	Alice	"More or less."
[00:58]	Kai	Servant to who?
[00:59]	Alice	looks at Marisa enigmatically.
[00:59]	Marisa	"Alice. He doesn't have to know."
[00:59]	Marisa	gives Alice a stern look.
[00:59]	Alice	nods.
[01:00]	Kai	So I'm not supposed to know who's apparently hunting for me, then?
[01:00]	Marisa	"No one's hunting for you, Kai. Really!"
[01:01]	Marisa	"Just basic border-fixing protocol. No worries. We'll deal with it."
[01:02]	Marisa	"You stay put, okay? I'm gonna fix you guys dinner!"
[01:02]	Marisa	smiles to Kai, but there's a tint of worries you can notice.
[01:03]	Marisa	"I'll get to your list after this, Alice. Maybe I'll have to borrow some from Patchy."
[01:03]	Alice	nods again.
[01:03]	Alice	"If you're going that way, tell her Knight to E5."
[01:04]	Kai	has another bad coughing fit, keeping him from questioning Marisa's honesty before she exits.
[01:04]	Marisa	"Haha, letter chess? That's so like you."
[01:04]	Marisa	leeaves for kitchen.
[01:04]	Alice	responds from where she is in the living room.
[01:05]	Alice	"Our 'esteemed' Ms. Knowledge seems to be under the assumption that she is a vampire and cannot expose her delicate skin to direct sunlight, otherwise I would have her over for a PROPER game."
[01:05]	Alice	"As it stands... Knight, to E5."
[01:06]	Marisa	"One of these days I'll try shave the roof off the scarlet library, just to see if she would be okay under the sunlight."
[01:06]	Marisa	ducks back into the kitchen, and by doing so, leaving Alice with Kai.
[01:10]	Kai	restabilizes after a time.
[01:10]	Kai	Ugh...
[01:11]	Kai	That... Shinigami chasing after me is probably really big trouble, right?
[01:11]	Alice	has relocated once again to a chair, with a book, and talks over it.
[01:12]	Alice	"It is big. Trouble, is debatable."
[01:13]	Alice	"We don't get Outsiders every day. Surely you didn't think people wouldn't be interested in how you got here?"
[01:13]	Kai	No, but...
[01:13]	Kai	... We just appeared. There isn't any more we can say than that.
[01:14]	Alice	"There isn't any more YOU can say."
[01:15]	Alice	does not elaborate. She thinks the message is clear enough.
[01:16]	Alice	is not exactly doing a good job of quelling any fears. But, that's not really her intention, now is it?
[01:16]	Kai	just plops himself into a chair and rests his head on the table. o O ( So... Tired... )
