Death curse investigation

[22:19] <Reikim> Hikari leads the group across the street, towards an office building. As you approach it there's nothing immediately odd about it, but the moment you step over some invisible line a girl in a labcoat-style Beacon jacket and a white jumpsuit. She nods at Hikari as you enter the building.
[22:20] <Reikim> Into the elevator. Hikari punches the button for the fourth floor. "You think Izzy's done by now?" she asks. "Probably," Veronika responds. She turns to Sariah. "I...apologize in advance. Our chief medic can be...strange."
[22:22] <Carmine> Sariah shrugs "Can't be stranger than the other stuff here, I'll cope" Sphinx decides to pop his head out from Sariah's suit jacket and meows
[22:25] <Reikim> The elevator door opens onto an open-concept office. Little islands of desks inhabited by humming computers are scattered around the room in an almost random fashion, supervised by a single larger desk near the head of the room, facing toward the window. ...

[22:28] <Reikim> Near the center of the room, one of the desks has been overturned, its computer and monitor smashed open upon the floor. There's a man laid out on the floor there, apparently the cause of it - definitely the victim. He's currently being prodded by a figure in red and white robes with the Beacon emblem inscribed on the back. When she touches him, sparks jump up from his body, and little glowing

[22:29] <Reikim> The usual scents of violent death are present, of course, except...a strange lack of blood. ...
[22:31] <Reikim> The medic looks up when the doors are opened, and scurries over. You see now that she's not human...she's a robot. Not even a particularly human one; her eyes are basically big bright LEDs in the middle of her face, and she doesn't appear to have a mouth. Her overall design is like a chibi robot dressed up in a white mage's robes. ...
[22:32] <Reikim> "Commander!" she squeals, like a five-year-old whose favorite pony just appeared. "Welcome back!" She tilts her head, regarding the stranger. "Who's this? Hmmmmmm?"
