Uplift RPG Session #33.23 (Ramiel Personal Quest)

Anyway! We begin!
A masterful plot of sabotage! A plan to look a man in the eye and make him blink!

Fried Silver: "Sir Ramiel I still believe getting help from the natives would been the best route."

Ramiel: "Overruled, we head back to the ship."

Jee-Still Waki: ( Do natives have a laser weapon that can decimate an entire camp? )

Gator (GM): ( Probably not )

Jee-Still Waki: ( Ya never know. )

Fried Silver: (Strength in numbers.)

Jee-Still Waki: ( Wolves hunt in packs? )

Ramiel: (Why risk the lives?)

Jee-Still Waki: ( Dragon's Dogma has corrupted me. Oh, and Ram, if we're gonna be blasting them to high heaven, let's try to avoid burning the wood. We can sell that. )
( It's not like it's gonna be unchopped. )

Gator (GM): So what action do you take? The saucer is already sabo'd

Fried Silver: "Well you see Sir Ramiel, I'm A Chef first That never gets any cooking duties not a well, Someone who knows a lot about ships."
"This might well, not get the right results."

Ramiel: (We head back to my ship now that I know where the camp is. )

Gator (GM): You go back to HD. Same tents, same sideways glares from mercenaries.

Jee-Still Waki wakes up to find that she was abandoned. And locked in the ship.

Ramiel: "See, I got back your bikes, no problem."

Gator (GM): The man grumbles as he examines the bikes.
A man appears before you!

Ramiel unlocks ships as he prepares to head back to the camp via flight."

Fried Silver: "Hello there sir."

Jee-Still Waki glares at Ramiel as he boards the ship. "Next time, m-make sure ev-everyone is out." she growls.

Gator (GM): The man shouts to the group before as they ignore him, "Ah, someone of taste. I would like to make an offer of an opportunity for you and your group, sir."

Ramiel: "I'm not interested in any time shares on this shitty planet!"

Fried Silver: "Well, what the Oprotunity sir?"

Gator (GM): "Now now, you haven't even heard it! This opportunity will reward your crew ten fold!" Says the man.

Jee-Still Waki: "Hhhhh... Th-there are g-good places on this pl-planet. N-not that you c-can see with your b-bad eyes." Jee hisses.

Ramiel: "When are you gonna let it go. Jeez, I left you in the ship one time, it'snot like you didn't have any food or water."

Gator (GM): "I have detected objects of sufficient complexity on your ship, if you help me I can connect you with buyers for said sufficiently complex technology."

Jee-Still Waki: "Hhh... A w-warning n-next time. And... I c-couldn't f-find wh-where the f-food was."

Fried Silver: "Well Sir I have no say in the manner since Sir Ramiel is the owner of this ship."

Jee-Still Waki: ( What tech do we even got on the ship? )

Gator (GM): ( Locked dog scenario. )

Jee-Still Waki: ( Can't recall anything else. )

Ramiel: "Look guy, not interested in selling anything on my ship."

Gator (GM): "Oh no my refined friend, I refer to they spaceman technology. Anyone can buy a ship, but only afew can retrieve the treasures of space... I can see how busy you are, come see me after you are done with your bounty. I'll be here." The man says
He trots off.

Ramiel enters the ship, "What a chode."

Jee-Still Waki: "Hhh... An-another h-hunt for treasure?"

Fried Silver: "Sir Ramiel he wasn't a bad guy."
"And Jee I bought some Canned goods if you're hungry."

Ramiel: "Believe me, nobody approaching you with a deal on the flight deck is worth trusting."

Jee-Still Waki stations the scanning facility.

Jee-Still Waki: ( *mans )
( I'll go ahead and scan now. Bonus was +20 and mind, unless the holes in my brain have gotten bigger overnight. )

Although, it should be noted that a mind of ten should have +30 to skill rolls.)

Jee-Still Waki: ( It has been changed? OK. )
( Also, I neglected to add on the scan skill when you gave us ship skills for free oh so long ago. I think it was just 1 skill, so the bonus would just be a 10. So the roll's a 38. )

Gator (GM): Anyway, you scan, it appears the work crews are loading up the logs and the saucer is generating a magnetic field, likely that it is warming up for takeoff.

Fried Silver: (it was 3 ship skills,P

Gator (GM): Oh right.

Ramiel: "Hope that \silver did his job right, things are gonna get hectic for our friends down there."

Jee-Still Waki: ( Most likely I put them all into scanning. Can't remember using any other station unless Fried was out and about elsewhere. )

Fried Silver: (I got ship gunner.)

Gator (GM): (Scanner is a good choice.

Ramiel: (( what bonuses you have to being a gunner Silver? ))

Fried Silver: (( +30 to rolls when using the ships gun.))

Gator (GM): (You mean skill level?)

Fried Silver: (Yee, Skill Level.)

Gator (GM): Sorry, you fly until you again retrace your steps you now hover over the logging operation. It is an odd feeling seeing a place you been from this perspective.

Ramiel: "Silver, carve the area around the camp."

Fried Silver: "Sir, why do you want me to do that? Can'y we just destroy their ship?"

Jee-Still Waki: "Hhh... Th-they are s-still there."

Ramiel: "Well then they'll scatter into the woods."

Fried Silver: "I mean... Fine Sir."

Ramiel: "I need Jee to get a beat on our guy so we can track him if he runs."

Also, Silver fires cutting a burning circle around the camp.

Jee-Still Waki feels uneasy at the sight of fire burning away at the jungle. She hopes it doesn't grow out of control.

Ramiel: (( Can I try to speak over an open channel on any comms down there? ))

Gator (GM): The bounty is making his way to the ship as well as some of the loggers, some have fled into the bush.
((Sure.

Ramiel: ANy roll required? ))

Gator (GM): You open the comms.

Ramiel: cool

Gator (GM): (Really shouldn't, that's just like flipping a switch.)

Ramiel opens comms, addressing his mark, "I don't have all day, you either come with us now, or you lose your supply, men, and your ship. Make a choice NOW!"

Fried Silver: "Sorry for what I'm doing Jee, I'm just following orders."

Jee-Still Waki: "Hhh..."

Gator (GM): brb

Ramiel: (( Hope you guys do know that you are playing with a lawful evil character. Or just now realized you were. ))

Jee-Still Waki: ( Don't really believe in the whole morality chart thing, but nah, I knew you were a mercenary out for cash for less than legal or moral actions from the get go. )

Ramiel: (( glad that was clear enough then ))

Jee-Still Waki: ( Jee went from a Chaotic Neutral to someplace inbetweeen that and good after a bad trip, so that's why I'm having 'er be a bit against what yer doing. )

Fried Silver: (( I could tell by the time you shot an unarmed unconscious man dead.))

Ramiel: (( Which one was that? ))

Jee-Still Waki: ( Hope you know that I'm cool with whatever's going on, just doin' what the character do and all. )

Gator (GM): ((Back, discovered I left the garage open all night, oi.)

Fried Silver: (( was anything stolen by raccoons?)

Gator (GM): You are greeted on the Comms with a long line of cursing!
Most of it is summarized as "What they hell, man?" and "Why did you do that?"

Jee-Still Waki: ( Standard protocol. You should've read the terms of agreement. )

Ramiel: "My orders are to get you back, didn't specify how. Mercs don't have patience for bullshit so it's decision time."
"We tried things the easy way."

Gator (GM): The rabbit points out, "How are you going to bring me back when everything is on fire, smartguy?"

Jee-Still Waki: ( Bring you back half dead. )

Fried Silver: ""Sir, we could of just held him at gunpoint and force him to come with us."

Gator (GM): (Or half cooked in this case.)

Ramiel: "Depends on how cooperative you plan to be."

Gator (GM): "I mean literally, donkey face. The temp outside is over 500. We cannot physically leave the ship and you probably can't walk in."

Jee-Still Waki: "R-Ramiel. Th-this is t-too much. Other tr-tribes may c-catch fire if th-this spreads!"

Ramiel: "Hold please."

Gator (GM): (pa-ta-ting.)

Jee-Still Waki: ( Well, we do got a robot. And space suits should be fine in that temperatures. )
( So knock 'em out, put him in a suit, have someone else in a suit or the robot take him out to our ship, and there ya go. )
( Sorry, is it OK to be discussing plans like this OOC? I know I've been here for a good part of a year or two, but I'm still uncertain about it. )

Ramiel: (( alright GM would swooping down with the ship, kick up enough dirt and dust to smother some of the flames? ))

Gator (GM): You can use sensors to supplement the roll.

Ramiel: (( Does it look like they have an avenue to escape now? ))

Gator (GM): Almost.

It appears the saucer is about to take off!

Fried Silver: "Sorry Jee I was just following orders."

Ramiel: "Fried, keep your aim trained on them."

Gator (GM): The rabbit again responds in cursing. (roll intimidation.)

Ramiel prepares to make any sudden maneuvers.

Jee-Still Waki: "Hhhh..." Jee huffs, taking one last look at the burning jungle.

Gator (GM): The saucer changes direction and is coming at you!

Ramiel: "This is your final warning. Land and surrender!"

Gator (GM): Their comms are out but it looks like they are landing.

Ramiel: I'll follow them down

Gator (GM): They did not make it to the landing pad. It also looks like that prior sabotage finally kicked in.

Jee-Still Waki: ( I'll preform a scan real quick. )

Ramiel: "I'll land us a safe distance away. I will stay inside to man weapons, Jee and Silver will cuff the survivors and treat them inside the ship."
"Got it?"

Gator (GM): Beware though, there is a chance for your ship to be stuck.

Jee-Still Waki: "Hhh... O-OK."

Ramiel: No clear areas to land?

Fried Silver: "Okay Ramiel."

Gator (GM): You find an open patch.

Jee-Still Waki readies her Red Hawk and exits the ship alongside Fried.

Ramiel: Okay, cool
"Keep your hands up, and any weapons on the ground! Hostiles will be shot."

Jee-Still Waki: ( You rollin' for intimidation on that? )

Fried Silver Equips both of his slag stack guns.

Ramiel: (( I feel like I've proved my resolve at this point... but I guess Ican

Gator (GM): ((Probably should, I had this plot about the guy being so large because of experimental combat drug use. ))

Fried Silver slaps cuffs onto Tip-Toe and his crew.

Jee-Still Waki keeps her gun ready and cuffs Tip-Toe.

Gator (GM): The other loggers surrender.

Jee-Still Waki hisses on the intercomm. "Hhhh... Sh-should I ch-check the sh-ship? Th-there may be g-goods inside."

Ramiel: "Silver, tie them all up once they're inside"

Fried Silver: "Sir I don't know how to tie stuff."

Ramiel: (( As in, make usre they con't move while in flight ))

Fried Silver: "And this is starting to sound like one of Joanna's work."

Ramiel: "Jee, you're up then."

Jee-Still Waki: "Hhhh..."

Ramiel: Tie them up in she ship."
"Tip Toe, there anything you want from your ship? An insurance card maybe?"

Jee-Still Waki scrounges Ram's ship for more cuffs or rope to further immobilize the rabbit and his crew.

Gator (GM): (It appears Fried has a hard line about restraining people.))

Ramiel: (( well tieing them up is for his own safety and the ships so if they get loose, it falls on him. ))

Gator (GM): Tip toe belligerently spits on your helmet's visor (assuming they are on the ship now.)

Jee-Still Waki: ( Whose? Mine? )

Ramiel: mine

Jee-Still Waki: ( Ah. )
( Forgot you got a pilot helmet on. )

Ramiel: (( finish tieing them up ))

Jee-Still Waki: ( Should I roll for tying them up GM? )

Jee-Still Waki ties the crew's hands and arm down, making sure to distance them from one another.

Gator (GM): Put a bell on them!

Ramiel: "Should be a nano-filament rope ion the cargo-hold. If not, check their ship"

Gator (GM): Check their ship?

Fried Silver: Yeah
"So Madam Jee, and good finds in the ship?"

Jee-Still Waki: "Hhh... Th-there is w-wood here and s-saws."

Ramiel: (( I guess we'll just have them cuffed to the ship as well. ))

"Take the wood, the least we can do Tip Toe since he finally came to his senses."

Jee-Still Waki: "Hhhh... OK. S-Silver. H-help me g-get these out. "

Fried Silver Help out Jee with the heavy lifting.

Fried Silver: (Did jee take the saws?)

Jee-Still Waki: ( I'm taking them. I can Frankenstein them onto Fried for an extra melee attack. )

Jee-Still Waki: ( Or to cut open safes. )

Gator (GM): Sure.

Gator (GM): You mean replace his arms or what?

Gator (GM): It's a power saw, not a can opener.

Jee-Still Waki: ( Yeah, I just wanted confirmation )

Fried Silver continues to move the logs into the ship while Jee studies the saws.

Gator (GM): Go all Gigan on him!

Jee-Still Waki: ( Speaking of which, rolling to disassemble then another to reassemble the saw. )

Jee-Still Waki examines the disassembled saw and writes down notes into her journal on the various insides, then puts the saw back together. It's not like she could help Fried lifting the giant logs anyway.

( What do you mean? The +30 mind bonus or using engineering to disassemble and reassemble a power saw/ )

Jee-Still Waki: ( Yeah, and you said mind bonus was now +30 )

Fried Silver: "Well Jee I would prefer that you not, I didn't cut your hand off when you putted those collars on us."

Jee-Still Waki: ( Guess I got it confused with someone else then, my apologies. )

Gator (GM): When did I say it was +30?

Jee-Still Waki: ( +20 to the two previous rolls. )

Gator (GM): Whell, it works.

Gator (GM): yeah. It was thrown in because no one knew what to suppliment high mind stats.

Jee-Still Waki: ( Rad. )

Gator (GM): 10 is supposed to be as high as humanly possible.

Jee-Still Waki: "Hhhh... Th-the wood is being p-put on the sh-ship now. Th-there are s-saws too. I am t-taking those. Th-the rest is b-broken." Jee mumbles on the intercomms while she reassembles the saw.
( Really doesn't suit the MO of a tribal then )

Ramiel: (( alright, we got the wood, we're heading back to the union. ))

Jee-Still Waki: ( Cool. )

( Duct tape the saw to a gun. Make a gun saw. )

( Anyway, all done here, sorry. )

Gator (GM): On the way there, the bounties start talking.
"So what are we being brought in for?

Ramiel: "Silver, don't forget to keep an eye on these guys as we travel."

Jee-Still Waki: ( Ya know, I think I'm gonna unload most of my crap and keep it on the ship, only carry a certain amount of stuff with me. Keep it more interesting than pulling out a grenade launcher out of my back pocket. )

Ramiel: Jee, I want you to keep you on scanners... Don't want a repeat of the space crab incident."

Jee-Still Waki: "Hhh... G-got it." Jee says, taking a quick check on the scanners while sorting out her assorted junk.

Gator (GM): "You blew up my ship and stole my haul for that?"

Gator (GM): Says the rabbit.

Ramiel: 'So you're only losing the ship."

Gator (GM): "Right. I'll hold you to that."

Fried Silver: "Sir Ramiel, I doubt that a payment of 40k to get someone to a late appointment is well, true."

Ramiel: "I tried to do things the easy way, but I'm hired when people want shit done fast"

Gator (GM): You quickly get to the station, there armed guards are waiting at the doc to retrieve tippy toe.

Ramiel switches comms to hail the station, "Cyclone coming in with bounty, requesting clearance and security detail at hangar."

Jee-Still Waki finishes sorting out her stuff, most of which is piled on a nearby work desk with a messily scribbled note that reads "Jee's stuff, tell Jee what you want from stuff"

Gator (GM): "Rodger Cyclone. Request acknowledge. Dock at hanger 8."

Jee-Still Waki: ( Whatever stuff you need, just check my character page and look for the items at the bottom. Feel free to take what you need. )

Gator (GM): (A good desk system.)

Ramiel guides his ship to the hangar, escorting his bounty out with Silver.

Ramiel calls over a guard before they leave with Tip Toe.

Jee-Still Waki: ( The majority of stuff looks like items you'd find in an abandoned house and shed, and piled onto a nearby desk for taking out to the trash or trailer to take off with. )

Gator (GM): You have the guard's attention.

Fried Silver: (Jee is one of those storage bidders.)

Jee-Still Waki: ( The only functioning gun that's there are Rail pistols, and good luck figuring out how to figure those out )

Gator (GM): (Sounds like my garage.)

Jee-Still Waki: ( So no worry about hostages shooting us in the back )
( Mostly. )

Ramiel: "I'd like to have the lumber in my cargo hold transferred over to Tip Toe once everything is sorted out for him. CAn you help arrange that?"

Gator (GM): "Probably not." Says the guard, "He's wanted on Logos for major theft and illegal logging. But we can hold it to see what the LG wants to do with it."

Jee-Still Waki: ( That reminds me. )
( Can I perform a quick search on the four? )
( Or are they clean of items? )

Ramiel shrugs, "I guess I'll hold it then."

Ramiel: (( GM, what is the current going rate for lumber per unit? ))

Gator (GM): Anyway, as you let out a breath on the station you communicators come on, rather, the station on the cyclone gets a message from Sarah on Logos.
