[2013-08-07 13:29:23] <Kkat> 3Noble_Heart frowns and contemplates. "It might be possible, perhaps, to set up some form of broadcaster to one of the black security bots. We deactivated one in the upstairs hallway, yes? Perhaps it could be salvaged for such a purpose."
[2013-08-07 13:29:29] <Kkat> 3CopyCat tilts her head. "I'm sure we can find some way to help her. Sweetie being cooped up in here with the machines slowly dying is just wrong."
[2013-08-07 13:29:36] <Kkat> 3Kid realized that the situation was grave. That she was saving the sort-of-life of a sort-of celebrity from a long time ago. That didn't mean she didn't giggle a little at 'Sweet-E'.
[2013-08-07 13:29:41] <Kkat> 3Noble_Heart smiled a bit at that. "I believe she has always been a sweety. But yes, perhaps it is something which might be done."
[2013-08-07 13:29:46] <Kkat> 3Kid shook her head. Okay. "How can we make it happen? What needs doin'?"
[2013-08-07 13:30:00] <Kkat> 3Noble_Heart taps her chin thoughtfully. "We are not certain. We know We will need a broadcaster of some kind. And to connect it to the Sweetie-AI. We will also need to spend some time creating a proper Arcanotech interface controller, though We would expect the Sweetie-AI to have something which might be adapted already."
[2013-08-07 13:30:12] <Kkat> 3She frowned. "The mechanics of their construction are unfortunately outside Our expertise."
[2013-08-07 13:30:20] <Kkat> 3Kid points at Shatara. "What could we use t' get that stuff made?"
[2013-08-07 13:30:25] <Kkat> 3Shatara hmms softly, pondering what parts would be needed. "I'm guessing the parts would be around here somewhere. This does seem to be a robot factory, after all..."
[2013-08-07 13:30:31] <Kkat> 3Pink-E begins humming with (sort of) the elevator music.  She barely gets out a few bars before the elevator stops with a shudder, the light above winking out then back on.  The music cuts out abruptly and the doors hinge open.
[2013-08-07 13:30:38] <Kkat> 3Noble_Heart blinks. "That is worrying..." She steps off the elevator cautiously.
[2013-08-07 13:30:49] <Kkat> 3Bookwright follows Noble_Heart out of the elevator.
[2013-08-07 13:30:55] <Kkat> 3CopyCat looks around nervously. "That's... not good."
[2013-08-07 13:31:02] <Kkat> 3Ex-Overmare Innocence's office appears exactly as they left it.
[2013-08-07 13:31:09] <Kkat> 3CopyCat holds the Overmare's ID badge in front of her like a talisman that can ward off all evil. It makes her feel a little better.
[2013-08-07 13:31:17] <Kkat> 3Bookwright tries the key he found in the Security door.
[2013-08-07 13:31:22] <Kkat> 3The security robots seem to have vacated the floor, leaving it almost eerily empty.  The debris and junked robots from the battle litter the floor.
[2013-08-07 13:31:27] <Kkat> 3The found key does not, unfortunately, open the Security door.  It must be to something else.
[2013-08-07 13:31:31] <Kkat> 3Kid folds her front legs, unsatisfied with this turn of events. "Well, where /does/ this go?"
[2013-08-07 13:31:37] <Kkat> 3CopyCat shows the door her badge. The door does not seem impressed.

[2013-08-07 13:39:22] * Bookwright unpacks a floppy glossy. "Get Lost, do you think if you did some mental exercises with this magazine you could open that lock?"
[2013-08-07 13:41:58] * CopyCat claps her hooves together. "Go go Get Lost! We believe in you!"
[2013-08-07 13:44:42] * Get_Lost takes the magazine and skims it "well... i could give it a try... it speaks of some models i don't really know... maybe we're lucky"
[2013-08-07 13:51:57] * Get_Lost starts looking around "maybe there's a concealed terminal activating the lock? this is security, after all... you know... those stable fillies were obsessed with cards, codes, passwords and tech stuff..."
[2013-08-07 13:54:15] * Bookwright cocks his head. "That's something I hadn't thought of before. But if there is, I guarantee you I can find it."
[2013-08-07 13:54:27] * Noble_Heart frowns and looks up and down the halls. A touch nervous that security might show up again.
[2013-08-07 13:55:04] * Kid , on the other hoof, is looking around for someone different. She swore that Mare-Do-Well was heading here. She wondered what she might be doing here.
[2013-08-07 13:55:09] * Get_Lost "i don't see anything here... but you have that magic of yours... want to try?"
[2013-08-07 13:56:08] * Bookwright focuses briefly inward, and then outward. Amber waves of magic float outward.
[2013-08-07 13:58:27] * Get_Lost mumbles a song whilee checking the door "i am the mare who arranges the blocks that are building a highly secret base... hip hip hooray for solaris inc. we're sending a colt to outher space..."
[2013-08-07 14:00:12] * Shatara fidgets a bit, waiting to proceed to the objective.
[2013-08-07 14:06:19] <Kkat> 3Bookwright's spell lights up records all over this floor.  Most of the rooms, including Security, have books, wall-mounted documents, terminals or more.
[2013-08-07 14:07:23] <Kkat> 3Unfortunately, the spell does not reveal a hidden way into Security.  If there is such a hidden terminal, it must be solely for access and not house any documents or records.
[2013-08-07 14:08:17] * Bookwright lets the spell run itself out. "...Nope, can't find anything. Sorry."
[2013-08-07 14:09:11] * Noble_Heart frowns and tilts her head to one side, then sighs. "We recommend giving Get Lost time to work, and We require time to rest..."
[2013-08-07 14:11:17] <Kkat> 3The Mysterious Mare-Do-Well is clearly not in this hallway.  Further exploration is required.  It does seem reasonable that she is somewhere in this facility.

[2013-08-07 14:18:46] * Get_Lost checks the magazine twiice and goes back mumbling her song "pointless work for pointless pay... this is a game i shall not play..."
[2013-08-07 14:25:08] * Get_Lost moves her lips while reading, then nods "mh, looks easy enough... with the proper key... let's see how it works with a bobby pin..."
[2013-08-07 14:26:16] * Bookwright restrains himself from hugging kid, but only just.

[2013-08-07 14:27:24] * CopyCat cheers. "Get Get she's our mare, with her mind so smart and her mane so fair!"
[2013-08-07 14:27:32] * Get_Lost cracks the pin inside the lock, then puts the screwdriver inside too, turns with all the weight she can put in the maneuver and is rewarded with a clean 'CLICK'
[2013-08-07 14:27:50] * Kid starts going down the hallway. "Hey. I'm gon' look around. Somepony mind coverin' me?"
[2013-08-07 14:30:42] * Bookwright steps into the security office and hungrily searches for a terminal.
[2013-08-07 14:30:45] * Noble_Heart looks in the direction of Kid, then back to the door which was just opened, then to Kid again. Finally deciding to follow after the smaller pony instead. "We will trust this in your capable hooves."
[2013-08-07 14:33:16] * Get_Lost lets the others do the looting, going instead back to put the pins in her tail... she misses her mane a bit... sigh
[2013-08-07 14:35:15] <Kkat> 3Get_Lost manages to open Stable-Tec's security like only a Solaris pony could.
[2013-08-07 14:35:31] <Kkat> 3Pink-E cheers.  "We knew you could do it!"
[2013-08-07 14:36:19] * CopyCat gives Get_Lost a big hug with hooves and wings. "Great job!"
[2013-08-07 14:37:09] * Get_Lost smiles back "thanks, you helped a lot too, with all the cheers"
[2013-08-07 14:38:30] * Kid searches the building's corners and hallways for the mysterious ghost.
[2013-08-07 14:39:19] <Kkat> 3The security door opens into an irregular-shaped room.  There are desks and a bank of monitors on one wall.  A weapons rack and armor cabinet line another wall, beneath a poster (IRONSHOD!  Defending today for a better tomorrow!).  A workbench holds what looks like most of another RD-E in an extremely disassembled state.
[2013-08-07 14:40:06] * Shatara 's eyes go all shiney, and he nearly pounces upon the weapons rack.
[2013-08-07 14:40:19] <Kkat> 3In two of the back corners, security spiderbots hang in cylindrical stalls, awaiting activation.
[2013-08-07 14:41:22] * Noble_Heart sticks close near Kid. "Are you certain she will be here? We cannot see her."
[2013-08-07 14:41:49] * Kid exhales, then rolls her eyes. "Ya'll can't see her anyways."
[2013-08-07 14:42:47] * CopyCat heads over to the weapon rack, interested by Shatara's interest.
[2013-08-07 14:43:35] * Noble_Heart frowns. "Yes. We are aware. That is why We are asking you if you think she will be here. Perhaps she has some reason to come here?"
[2013-08-07 14:45:10] * Kid seems to churn over how to best explain, eventually coming up with "Ah saw 'er headin' towards here. I ain't seen her around since, and I figure that's the last I'll be able t' easily track her."
[2013-08-07 14:45:53] * Noble_Heart nods her head. "THen We shall try to protect you while you search. Though Our magic is pushed quite hard..."
[2013-08-07 14:46:39] * Kid doesn't look back when she says "I don' plan on stayin' in any fights."
[2013-08-07 14:46:59] <Kkat> 3It takes considerable looking, but Kid eventually spots the mysterious figure in a side office once belonging to the factory floor supervisor.
[2013-08-07 14:47:39] * Bookwright has a hungry look on his face. Terminals! Yes, terminals. He steps up to the most prominent one and wakes it up.

[2013-08-07 14:49:44] * Bookwright 's smile barely falters, as he attempts to hack.
[2013-08-07 14:50:48] <Kkat> 3Shatara finds three tranquilizer rifles, a Bronco Auto Rifle and a MASR in the weapons rack.  There are four locked ammo boxes nearby.
[2013-08-07 14:51:08] * Get_Lost follows the others inside the room, but doesn't interfere with whatever thay are doing... she'll be there just in case... you know... in case you need to try an alternative...
[2013-08-07 14:54:28] * Kid smirks. "There she is." She picks up her pace and tries to get to the office. "Hey, you!" She said, more confused and seeking answers than angry. Although, not for lack of looking the part.
[2013-08-07 14:55:43] * Noble_Heart follows after Kid, smiling just a little bit. "Perhaps We can get some answers now?"
[2013-08-07 14:59:10] * Shatara scoops up all the rifles and hugs them. Then looks at the locked ammo boxes and slumps with a weak. "Noooooo..."
[2013-08-07 14:59:49] <Kkat> 3Mare-Do-Well steps away from a desk, raising her head towards Kid.  On the desk, Kid can see small models of Enclave ponies, sky-tanks, even a Raptor.  The sorts of wartime toys that patriotic little colts might play with.  Above the desk are conceptual sketches, including one of Neighverro and another of a Thunderhead.
[2013-08-07 15:01:49] * Kid blinks and, now looking absolutely confused and forgoing all irritation of having to look for her, simply sits down and tries to puzzle this one out. "You said you didn' like th' Enclave." She mutters.
[2013-08-07 15:02:22] * CopyCat paws at the locked ammo boxes uselessly and turns to Get_Lost with an unhappy pout.
[2013-08-07 15:02:35] <Kkat> 3A photo on a nearby wall shows two stallions, one in a Shadowbolts uniform, smiling for the camera.  In the background is the actual Neighverro base as it once was long ago.  In the picture, the SPP Central Hub is still under construction, cranes lifting blocks high above the clouds, and workwagons flying overhead.

[2013-08-07 15:04:51] * Noble_Heart tilts her head and takes a look around the break room, then up to the photograph of Neighvarro and the SPP Hub. "An interesting find. It is rare to see such well preserved records. We have little doubt Bookwright will want to see this."
[2013-08-07 15:07:12] * Get_Lost quickly checks the boxes, then takes a pin, shapes it in a weird guitar-like form, then uses it as a key, opening all of the three boxes "here you go..."
[2013-08-07 15:07:56] * Shatara applies hugs to Get_Lost. "Yaaaaaay!"
[2013-08-07 15:07:59] * Get_Lost actually, opens the third knocking on it on a side...
[2013-08-07 15:08:13] <Kkat> 3Bookwright, meanwhile, has hacked into the security mane terminal.  Before him are commands to activate reserve security robots (4 of 12 available), issue or recend a security alert, shut down all active security on the factory floor, shut down all active security in the executive wing, and read security logs and memos.
[2013-08-07 15:08:45] * Bookwright elects to shut down all active security in the executive wing first.
[2013-08-07 15:10:28] * Bookwright then checks the status of security alerts.
[2013-08-07 15:10:34] <Kkat> 3There is also a darkened option: Advanced Securities Department access restricted.  ASD security options not available from this station.
[2013-08-07 15:11:14] <Kkat> 3The current status of security is "Pegasus".
[2013-08-07 15:16:20] <Kkat> 3Get_Lost opens all four ammo boxes.  The first holds tranquilizer darts.  The tag on the darts warns that they carry a crippling poison.
[2013-08-07 15:17:03] * Get_Lost "is not really interested in ammos, so she simply lets them be"
[2013-08-07 15:17:42] <Kkat> 3The second holds .308 rounds.  The third, a supply of MFCs.   The final box holds stun grenades.
[2013-08-07 15:18:26] * Get_Lost complains "there is never sparkle cola in those..."
[2013-08-07 15:19:39] * Shatara runs his talons through the rifle rounds. "No, but there's dakka~"
[2013-08-07 15:23:23] * Bookwright rescinds all security alerts and turns his head to speak. "I've shut down the rest of security in the executive wing, but I left the stuff on the factory floor active. The current security alert status is 'pegasus', whatever that means, but I've rescinded it. There's an entry here called 'advanced securities department' but I can't get at it, says this terminal doesn't have access. Which is...
[2013-08-07 15:23:23] * Bookwright ...weird, because we're in the security office." He looks back at the terminal and starts reading the security logs and/or memos.
[2013-08-07 15:26:07] * Get_Lost "maybe it was some failsafe ultra-last-resort never to use only for the director's eyes..."
[2013-08-07 15:26:28] * Get_Lost "is it active at the moment?"
[2013-08-07 15:26:35] * CopyCat nods and taps the dart rifle sticking out of her pack. "Well I have one already, but maybe we could tape them all together?"
[2013-08-07 15:27:39] <Kkat> 3It takes Kid a few minutes of studying the conceptual sketch before she realizes what Mare-Do-Well must be indicating.  The Enclave had shield generators -- at the height of the war, Neighverro was completely surrounded by a blue shield that protected it -- but those shields aren't in place yet in the photograph...
[2013-08-07 15:27:51] * Shatara stops hugging the rifles and lays them out with a pensive hmm, laying the darts for them beside. Ponders the duct tape option. Furthermore, he ponders how effective the darts would be against crystal-y targets.
[2013-08-07 15:28:44] <Kkat> 3The conceptual picture includes sketches of what looks like an early design for those shield generators -- a design that bares clear resemblance to the pylons creating the lethal energy barrier that has trapped everyone inside the Crystal Empire.
[2013-08-07 15:34:03] <Kkat> 3Mare-Do-Well stares at the pictures with Kid.  "The Advanced Securities Department.  They were building all kinds of ultra-tech security devices down there.  RD-E.  Crystal security monsters.  The death fence."
[2013-08-07 15:39:23] * Get_Lost "well, i'd say that everything is under control here... shall i go to check that weird security bot we blasted before and see what i need to rig it so that it can relay the maneframe's signal?"
[2013-08-07 15:49:57] * Bookwright shakes his head. "There's a partially disassembled one on the work bench over there, Get_Lost. I suggest using that one and getting extra parts from the exploded one."
[2013-08-07 15:50:47] * Get_Lost "good point. i'l lsee what i can do"
[2013-08-07 16:22:37] <Kkat> 3Threading through the security logs and memos on the terminal is a growing paranoia about the Solaris factory on the other side of the empire.  What starts as reminders of increased vigilance and a few comments anticipating industrial espionage slowly escalates into weekly drills, increased orders for security robots...
[2013-08-07 16:23:26] * Kid ponders on this for a moment. "So yer sayin' that th' shields their usin' is like th' shields att Neighvarro, and that th' room behind Sweetie might be the key outta this cage!"
[2013-08-07 16:24:04] <Kkat> 3...and even wild speculation of secret Solaris superweapons.  (Not the least of which being a rumor that Solaris was turning jukeboxes into crystal-shattering sonic weapons.)
[2013-08-07 16:25:01] * Bookwright brings up the memo/log with the most recent date.
[2013-08-07 16:25:22] <Kkat> 3Mare-Do-Well nods to Kid.
[2013-08-07 16:30:46] * Kid glee's for a little while, grinning a toothy wide grin. " Well, hot damn, then! Let's get..." She paused, then remembered why she was there. "Hey. Why'd you got an' ditch me like that? Not that I don't forgive y', but..."
[2013-08-07 16:39:25] <Kkat> 3The Mare-Do-Well frowns.  "Can't stay in one place too long."
[2013-08-07 16:39:30] <Kkat> 3"Never could."
[2013-08-07 16:40:22] * Kid_ frowns with her, then sits by her. "Why not?"
[2013-08-07 16:56:09] * Kid_ blinks. Waitaminute. "Is it 'cause you haven't found true love 'r somethin' like that? 'Cause the Zebras said somethin' like that.
[2013-08-07 17:01:11] <Kkat> 3Mare-Do-Well swoops up and stares at Kid, deadpanning, "What?"
[2013-08-07 17:02:27] * Bookwright stops playing with the terminal and turns to the others. "I heard you guys unlocking things over here. Wha'dja find?"
[2013-08-07 17:04:06] * Kid_ shrugs. "I dunno. They said that you ain't found true love, so you can't be free of an evil curse or somethin' like that." There is much awkward in her voice.
[2013-08-07 17:04:32] * CopyCat tries showing Bookwright the dart rifles, but she can't hold them all! "Lookit, we found guns!"
[2013-08-07 17:05:08] * Bookwright nods "Yeah, dart rifles are cool. But I thought I heard something about an energy weapon...?"
[2013-08-07 17:06:25] * Shatara holds up all the dakka and beams, before pulling out the MASR and showing it to Bookwright.
[2013-08-07 17:06:25] * CopyCat tilts her head. "Well we found one of those too I guess... if you're into that sort of thing..."
[2013-08-07 17:07:25] * Bookwright inspects the weapon. "I am indeed interested in this sort of thing. You didn't find any spark packs, did you?"
[2013-08-07 17:08:25] * Shatara presents the ammo box full of boring non-dakka pew-battery-things to Bookwright.
[2013-08-07 17:11:57] * Bookwright accepts them. "No, these aren't what I need, they're micro fusion. I need the smaller kind. Oh well, looks like they'll work fine in the MASER."
[2013-08-07 17:13:40] * Shatara hmms softly, before producing a small box from his pack, cryptically labeled 'EC'.
[2013-08-07 17:13:48] * Kid_ looks off to the side. My, it's surprising how much red gets through that green fur. "Um. I ain't put much stock in that theory, but y' can't blame 'em. You don' exactly tell them who ya'll are or why y' do what y' do. They jus' see you sometimes an' y' beat up some bad thing and then ya'll get t' gettin'."
[2013-08-07 17:14:38] <Kkat> 3Mare-Do-Well stares.  And stares some more, flying in place.  Then facehoofs.  "The fate of the Crystal Empire does not depend on my finding a special somepony."  She adds, "In case you haven't noticed, I'm kinda dead."
[2013-08-07 17:21:21] * Kid_ just clenches her teeth, gives her what must be the world's most strained smile, and then shrugs. "I don't know! That's just what they told me!" She loosens up and points at her, hoping to turn this around. "Hey, at least they got a story t' tell about you! And there are plenty of dead ponies out there lookin' fer somepony! I mean, hell, if it's th' nothin' I'm gettin' from you or th'...
[2013-08-07 17:21:23] * Kid_ ...somethin' I'm gettin' from them, at least they're /entertaining/."
[2013-08-07 17:23:02] * Bookwright examines it. "Awesome, this thing is... awesome. Wow. I bet I can plink hella far away with this..."
[2013-08-07 17:23:49] * CopyCat raises an eyebrow. "Hella?"
[2013-08-07 17:24:07] * Bookwright coughs. "Um. Slang. Don't worry about it."
[2013-08-07 17:24:41] <Kkat> 3Mare-Do-Well blinks.  Then flies closer.  "What?  I'm not entertaining?"
[2013-08-07 17:26:05] <Kkat> 3There is an odd edge in her voice for a moment.   Then she lands.  "Sorry."
[2013-08-07 17:26:28] * CopyCat smiles. "You know, you look just like a colt with a whole box of Super Apple Bombs."
[2013-08-07 17:26:51] <Kkat> 3Pink-E oooohs at the MASR appreciatively.  "Pew Pew!  Bookwright the sniperpony!"
[2013-08-07 17:27:18] * Bookwright tries to wipe the smile off his face and fails. "Aw, shucks. I just appreciate this sorta thing, y'know?"
[2013-08-07 17:27:51] * Kid_ leans closer herself, returning her anger. "Maybe! Ya'll ain't told me nothin' about you, so ah wouldn't know!" She cooled off when she did, a wave of guilt hitting her. "Naw, naw. It's my fault. If ya'll don' wanna tell nothin' about you, it ain't my business. But I do wanna know who ya'll are. And, well. I'm likely th' last pony ya'll would get t' tell."
[2013-08-07 17:31:57] * Kid_ sits down by a wall, and lays back. "... Can ya'll keep a secret?"
[2013-08-07 17:33:06] <Kkat> 3Mare-Do-Well looks around.  "You're the only one who can her me.  Who am I gonna tell?"  She pauses, then nods.  "Yeah, I can keep a secret."
[2013-08-07 17:33:49] <Kkat> 3Pink-E dance in the air around Bookwright making victory music.
[2013-08-07 17:34:29] * CopyCat instantly nods, seemingly for no particular reason. She wasn't anywhere near Kid but, well...
[2013-08-07 17:36:31] * Bookwright coughs. "Right, right. Hurrah for me. I still wanna know what this ASD is all about though. Somehow it's too secure for the security office. Anyways, Shatara? D'you think you could tear the NCR insignia off of this armor I got from the poor sergeant?"
[2013-08-07 17:38:11] * Kid_ grimaces, then rubs the back of her mane. "... I ain't never known nopony for a good long time. And, well. I... I'm doin' all this crazy shit t' find my brother, right?" She flops a hoof out. "But I ain't seen my brother in a year or two. And, well. When he left, things mighta been... Tense. So, I don't even know if he'd want t' find me back. And... I dunno. Ya'll been lonesome for a while,...
[2013-08-07 17:38:13] * Kid_ ...and ya'll seem t' have your shit figured out pretty good. But I don't. I don't really even remember why I started all this, other than that Miss Crimson asked me to."
[2013-08-07 17:38:33] * Shatara blinks at the request. "I guess I could get it off, or cover it or something...But uh...aren't we with the NCR anyway...?" His own armor's talon insignia is only crudely taped over.
[2013-08-07 17:39:53] * Bookwright "I'd rather not openly broadcast that wherever we go. It could cause unwarranted prejudice against us."
[2013-08-07 17:40:24] * Kid_ looks at Noble off in the distance and motions for her to scoot in closer.
[2013-08-07 17:41:48] * Shatara nods a bit, digging around for his tools.
[2013-08-07 17:43:19] <Kid_> (Mare do Well, that is)
[2013-08-07 17:43:26] * Bookwright shrugs off the armor. Too bad there's no laundry supplies and the time for it, that armor was really starting to smell lived in.
[2013-08-07 17:48:26] * CopyCat stretches, revelling in her nakedness.
