  1. Gamemode Highlight: Aerial Superiority
  2.
  3. “The endless sky. We were never meant to get this far, you know. But here we are. And here they are.”
  4.
  5. ---
  6.
  7. Aerial Superiority consists of two opposing teams fighting for control of the sky in massive Capital Ships. The goal is to eliminate the opposing force and destroy the enemy ship. Each player has infinite lives in this mode. Battles of Aerial Superiority are always evenly matched, at a one to one ratio for team balance.
  8.
  9. Maps in Aerial Superiority are minimalistic in nature, by definition, they take place far above the land below. As such, assistance from Supply Drops or another Capital Ship is rare or outright impossible most of the time.
  10.
  11. Modified Warzone rules apply to this mode. Tunneling and pillaring are not allowed, but building fortifications is encouraged and recommended. In this case, building skybridges is There are no attack lines, and most of the time, boarding the opposing ship to destroy their beds, where they spawn, will be necessary.
  12.
  13. Capital Ship support is disabled in this mode. Multiple Capital Ships may appear in the battle, however, if teams are large enough.
  14.
  15. Sabotage targets cannot appear here, but each ship either has a reactor that can be destroyed to hinder its effectiveness, or is powered by volatile magma that can leak and burn crew members to death if utilized as a weapon against the ship.
  16.
  17. In Aerial Superiority, team members can be eliminated. However, since each player has infinite lives, they must be eliminated in a special way. First, you must destroy their bed. Since they have no bed to respawn at, they will be at risk of being eliminated. When at risk they must be killed before sleeping in another bed, so they cannot respawn. If eliminated in this way, they will no longer be able to play and must leave or spectate the match. However, if they manage to sleep in another bed, they will be safe and no longer considered at risk.
  18.
  19. A battle of Aerial Superiority is won when the entire opposing team is eliminated. Regardless if a battle of Aerial Superiority is won or lost, it is worth three points of relative power.
  20.
  21. If a faction continually loses battles of Aerial Superiority, they can choose to dismantle their fleet of Capital Ships. This will prevent hostile factions from targeting Capital Shops in the sky. Doing this is a risky and dangerous maneuver, however, as it will double the chances of enemy supply drops and Capital Ship support, and halve the faction’s chances of receiving supply drops in battle. Doing this will also completely disable the ability to receive Capital Ship support in any mode until the fleet is rebuilt.
  22.
  23. Aerial Superiority is intended as a game mode where unconventional warfare seizes the day, and players must adapt to a new environment; new way to wage war, or face total destruction. May the best faction win!
