FoE RPG G0-2 - #007 Freedom Mound: A Study in Scarlet

[21:15]<LuckyLeaf>	An eerie silence surrounds the group, still at the place of the strange collapse of the raiders. What would they do about it? Should they even care, if it made their settlement safer?
[21:19]?	Swiss_Provolone keeps scanning the horizon, looking for signs of trouble, "What kind of place do you need doc? We can always stand guard at the clinic if it'll make you feel better 'bout bringing these two there."
[21:21]<Full_Physical>	"I suppose that would work, I just don't want them bothering the other patients."
[21:21]?	Firefly looks over the area. "So... where did they come from?"
[21:22]?	Swiss_Provolone chuckles, "Oh, I'll keep 'em down if they get too rowdy."
[21:24]<Full_Physical>	"I dunno kid, where do sand raiders usually come from?"
[21:24]?	Swiss_Provolone looks to Firefly, "Better ask Tamara kid, but could you keep watch over the other ones? We got their weapons, so they shouldn't be too big of a hassle."
[21:25]?	Firefly nods. "Sure. I was just wondering if they left tracks or not."
[21:26]<Full_Physical>	"I suppose that would work, let's get moving."
[21:33]?	Swiss_Provolone nods, levitating out the Hunting Rifle before following
[21:35]<LuckyLeaf>	Firefly sees a number of recent dents and marks of vandalism along the already old and damaged buildings. One of them further away has a crude symbol drawn on them with some awful smelling thing. You are not sure what it means. Further signs of recent vandalsm keep going along the road
[21:36]?	Firefly nods to Full_Physical and Swiss_Provolone. "I'll stay and keep an eye on things." The filly darts inside the house to keep an eye on things.
[21:37]<Full_Physical>	"Are you sure that filly's parents are ok with us leaving her with those raiders?"
[21:39]?	Swiss_Provolone shrugs, "From what I saw on the boat, her parents might buck me upside the head. She seems like she can handle herself though. 'Sides, not like we can keep watching her for eternity."
[21:42]<Full_Physical>	"I hope you're right. I wasn't able to figure out what was wrong with the raiders, so I may need this "Sotho" and a friend of mine, a sand dog named Kabuso to examine them, see if they can figure out what's wrong."
[21:43]*	Firefly is now known as The_Batmare
[21:43]?	The_Batmare darts out of the house after the other two have left, following the trail of vandalism and sneaking from roof-top to roof-top .
[21:45]?	Swiss_Provolone nods "Sure, do what ever you need to do to find out whats what. Just put it into laypony's terms when you finish."
[21:47]?	DontAskForCookies groans and rubs her neck, looking up at Antenna with half lidded eyes she tilts her head, "Feeling better?"
[21:50]<Full_Physical>	"...eyup."
[21:50]<LuckyLeaf>	The shop is modest. A house with an improvised counter and boxes of goods spread all over the place. Mostly food, some cheap booze and random supplies from the trading caravans. Nopony has mamy caps around here just yet.
[21:52]<LuckyLeaf>	Antenna smiles, some sheen had already returned to her chitin. "Much better! Are you okay? I hope I didn't wear you too much."
[21:54]?	Sotho is currently sitting crosslegged in the home, seemingly in deep trance
[21:54]<LuckyLeaf>	Firefly spots a lone Sand Raider on a side street, scraping one of the stinky symbols off a wall with a rusted sword.
[21:54]?	Royal_Lace grumbles a bit as she stands, making a concerted effort to be polite which is a suprisingly difficult tast at the moment. "Oh dont fret, I have felt worse before. I just... do you have anything to drink maybe? I feel a bit parched"
[21:54]?	The_Batmare frowns down at the raider. Why would he be removing the symbols? Didn't they put them there? She observes, carefully.
[21:54]?	Sotho trots around as he looks at the shop, smiling as he trots up to the shop's owner. "Hello there."
[21:56]<LuckyLeaf>	"I should have a Sparkle Cola somewhere here. Just give me a bit." Antenna rushes to the back of the shop
[21:58]?	Royal_Lace takes a seat and rests while she waits on her drink
[22:00]<LuckyLeaf>	Swiss Provolone and Full_Physical arrive to the clinic. Just another house, but much cleaner and well repaired. Chroma is there, tending to a pony on a merchant outfit.
[22:02]?	Swiss_Provolone takes a look around, "Wherever you're comfortable with doc. Let's get this done."
[22:03]<LuckyLeaf>	The raider finishes scraping the symbol and paints a different one with the slugey contents of  a bottle
[22:05]<LuckyLeaf>	"Yes? How can I help?" The shopkeeper is a large mustached pony whose eyes show the toll of worse days.
[22:06]?	The_Batmare darts forward, delivering a swift kick and knocking the sword out of the raider's grip. "What was that symbol you scraped away?!" The masked filly growls at the raider.
[22:07]?	Sotho smiles and bows. "Well then. I am a local Shaman, I would like to give you something that would help your shop." He says, taking out a small conch necklace. "if you simply have this in your shop it will bring your shop good fortune. I'd like to give you this. I recomend you hide it away however."
[22:10]<LuckyLeaf>	"What?!" She sees The_Batmare and leans away equally startled and baffled. "The fuck are you?"
[22:12]<The_Batmare>	"Justice." The crusader releases another kick, sending the bottle flying into a nearby wall and causing it to shatter, the contents splattering the wall. "Tell me what I want to know!"
[22:12]?	Royal_Lace stands and stretches, opting to trot around the shop and look at Antennas ware while she waits for her drink.
[22:13]<Full_Physical>	"Say Chroma, would you mind if we keep two patients here for a while? We found them unconcious, and we haven't yet found the cause."
[22:14]<LuckyLeaf>	"Hmm. That sounds pretty handy. I've heard stories of these zebra fetishes." The shopkeeper takes a good look at it. "Any reason why you're giving it to me?"
[22:14]<LuckyLeaf>	Antenna comes back with a cold sparkle cola. "Here!"
[22:17]?	Royal_Lace levtates the drink to herself and takes a sip, "Thank you dear, that is much better". Rubbing her neck again as she looks around, "I dont think im in any shape to head home just yet, do you mind if I wait here till I recover a bit? we could talk about your work if you like, you mentioned some big job yes?"
[22:17]?	Sotho smiles and nods. "Yes, I wish for Freedom mound to become better trade wise and I believe this will help. "I will come back in a month to retrive the necklace." He smiles. "I am trusting you with this, if you sell it or lose it, there will be consicuences, not just to you and me, but to others as well." He says before bowing. "Now again, just keep this in a safe place in your store and go about buisness as usual."
[22:17]<LuckyLeaf>	The raider looks at the sword, far beyond her reach and grunts. "Okay, okay. It's the Bent Bats team logo."
[22:19]?	The_Batmare nods. "Describe them to me."
[22:19]<LuckyLeaf>	"Will do." He takes the necklace away. "Name is Bottle Brush, by the way."
[22:20]?	Sotho smiles and holds out his hoof. "And you may call me Sotho, but if you would, don't mention my name to others."
[22:23]<LuckyLeaf>	"Yeah, I am building a high power transceiver for an order. I don't have all the parts, but I'm pretty sure I can improvise the rest." Antenna says
[22:25]<LuckyLeaf>	"They are dumb, ugly, smelly and they suck." Ther raider says, still looking at Firefly confused. "What team wears ugly ass masks?"
[22:27]?	Royal_Lace drains more of her drink, "How rare can parts for something like this be? I take it the client must be in a rush if he dosent want to wait for you to find the proper components"
[22:30]<LuckyLeaf>	"Sure." Chroma takes a glance at them. "What do you think it is? Concussion? ...they look like raiders."
[22:31]<LuckyLeaf>	Brush raises an eyebrow. "Any reason for that?"
[22:32]?	The_Batmare growls. "No! What do they look like?!"
[22:32]?	Swiss_Provolone "Yeah, they're raiders. No need to worry, I'll keep 'em down should they wake up."
[22:32]<LuckyLeaf>	"Looks like it, but big transceiver are hard to find in a good condition." Antenna shrugs
[22:32]<Sotho>	"I just don't want credit for any of this, I just want the places to be better than what they were and are." He says and bows. "Goodby."
[22:33]<LuckyLeaf>	"If you say so." Chroma turns back to her patient.
[22:33]<LuckyLeaf>	"Bye, come back anytime" Brush says
[22:34]?	Sotho nods and comes back to the house to chat with his wife and play with his child
[22:34]?	Royal_Lace finishes her drink and stands, "Well if you ever need help on a project me and my ponies would probably be able to help". lifting up the empty bottle she forces a small smile. "have a trash bin for this?"
[22:35]<Full_Physical>	"Okay, great!" Full Physical proceeds to deposit the raiders in the most secluded beds he can find
[22:35]<LuckyLeaf>	"There's a... " The raider follows to give The_Batmare an unpolite description of the raiders they found unconscious
[22:36]?	The_Batmare nods. "Alright. These teams... do they ever get gifts?"
[22:38]?	Swiss_Provolone levitates out his pistol and keeps it trained on the raiders
[22:40]<LuckyLeaf>	"Only the best, or the cheaters." The raider says.
[22:40]<Full_Physical>	"Okay then, if you think you can manage them from here, where can I find this "Sotho"?"
[22:41]<LuckyLeaf>	"Glass is useful." Antenna brings a bucket to Royal_Lace
[22:42]?	Swiss_Provolone shrugs, "I believe to say he went off to run an errand. He might be in their house, or somewhere nearby."
[22:43]?	Swiss_Provolone steps closer to the Raiders, "Unless they think hoof beats bullet, I'll be fine."
[22:44]<Full_Physical>	"Alright then, I'll go look for them. Before I go though, I didn't get your name. Mine is Full Physical."
[22:44]?	Swiss_Provolone "Swiss Provolone, most ponies just call me Swiss."
[22:46]?	Royal_Lace tilts her head as she depositts the glass into the bucket. "oh, you recycle glass? that sounds useful. do you melt it down or just reporpouse the bottle?"
[22:46]<Full_Physical>	"Okay Swiss, try not to have *too much* fun beating up the raiders while I'm away."
[22:46]?	Swiss_Provolone chuckles, "No promises."
[22:48]<LuckyLeaf>	"I melt them, it's good for any lenses and mirrors I need." Antenna says
[22:49]?	The_Batmare nods. "Did this team cheat?"
[22:49]?	Full_Physical walks off to Sotho's house
[22:50]?	Sotho was inside, caring for his daughter and playing with her. Spending time with Knick Knack as well
[22:51]<LuckyLeaf>	"They must have, and the Arbiter didn't say a thing. Asshole." She grunts.
[22:51]?	Full_Physical knocks on the door when he arrives
[22:52]?	Royal_Lace nods, "Sounds useful, I know the mound sells some glass but with prices these days after the transition of ownership I can understand recycling your own. but please do ask if you every want any help with any of your projects. Now if you dont mind I think I feel a second wind and will go home, tell me what days do you have open for the picnic so I can make aragments?"
[22:53]?	The_Batmare frowns. "Arbiter?"
[22:56]<LuckyLeaf>	"C'mon, don't you fucking know the Arbiter? Don't know know nothing?! "  She jumps towards her sword. "Stupid runt!"
[22:57]<Full_Physical>	"Anyone home?" Full_Physical asks Sotho's door
[22:58]?	Sotho was in his big fucking mansion that we all go into constantly, he can't hear you through the door when he's upstairs in his daughter's room playing with a giggling baby foal
[23:00]<The_Batmare>	"Oh no you don't!" The bat filly darts forward, slamming into the raider to try and send her flying from the sword. It... doesn't work so well, but the filly stays upright. "Get out of here, and don't come back!"
[23:01]?	Full_Physical walks into the mansion and looks around
[23:02]<LuckyLeaf>	The raider feels her everything hurting and decides to leave the sword. "Fuck this!" She gallops away
[23:03]<Sotho>	Full can easily however hear the playful nature of a foals giggling from the second floor
[23:03]<LuckyLeaf>	"I can make time anyday. This is not a busy shop, maybe I'll just pack my radio" Antenna smiles.
[23:05]?	Full_Physical approaches the source of the noise and knocks on the door "Is Sotho there?"
[23:05]?	Royal_Lace smiles, "Well Ill just teleport home and give you a call then after I rest up a bit and talk to the family, what channel can  I reach you on?"
[23:05]?	The_Batmare grabs the sword and flies away. Some kid could fall and hurt themselves, after all. She flies off, heading back to watch the rest of the team, known as the Bent Bats and changes out of her costume.
[23:07]<LuckyLeaf>	"134.7"
[23:08]<Sotho>	Sotho blinks as he moves and opens the door. "Yes I am, may I ask what you need?"
[23:10]?	Royal_Lace smiles and waves, "Ill talk to you later then". With a flash she is gone and back home.
[23:11]*	The_Batmare is now known as Firefly
[23:12]<Full_Physical>	"Hello there, I'm Full Physical. Now I don't suppose you'd be willing to examine some unconcious raiders for me? We found a whole ton of sand raiders passed out in the outskirts of town, and I couldn't identify the drug, if any, that they're on. I've been told that you're an alchemist so I thought you might be able to help, Swiss is guarding them in the Clinic."
[23:19]?	Sotho nods lightly. "I can try." He smiles a bit, he looks to Knick Knack. "Dear, please take care of Phoenix I'll be gone not that long."
[23:21]<Full_Physical>	"Alright, great." Full Physical turns and starts walking back to the clinic
[23:25]?	Swiss_Provolone glances at Sotho and Full_Physical as they return, "Still out cold, didn't need to give em any... encouragement."
[23:26]<Full_Physical>	"You poor thing."
[23:26]?	Sotho smiles and nods, looking over them
[23:32]<LuckyLeaf>	The group performs a more thorough examination and testing of the raiders with the help of Kabosu.
