  1. >be anon
  2. >be living shitty old apartment in Equestria
  3. >you cant really complain as its all you can afford from you basic job of aircraft marshalling
  4. >returning after your 12 hours shift the sun slowly sets over the end of the runway, the plane ponies all taxiing into their select hangars
  5. >arms heavy and legs tired beyond belief, anon lumbers to his apartment located at the end of the runway
  6. >sure it was noisy at times but you enjoy the sounds of various engines from different aircraft's
  7. >anon pushes your door open, no need to lock it as there is nothing much of value that could be taken from you
  8. >closing the door behind him. he is quick to strip out of his uniform tossing it to the side of his bed before laying back in peace, the sound of night patrols taking off overhead lulling anon to sleep
  9. ___
  10. >”BEEP, BEEP, BEEP”
  11. >his alarm sounds over and over ringing through his ears quickly taking him out of his sleep state
  12. >anon reaches over to get ready to smash his alarm to bits again
  13. >only he cant lift his arm
  14. >he looks down in his half dazed state, a small drone pony huddled up around his right arm. The same can be said for his left arm
  15. >he takes a second to calculate what is going on before…
  16. “Oi! what the heck are you doing in my bed!”
  17. >he quickly pulls his arms out of their grasp and the two drones seem to boot up quickly both of them looking up at anon
  18. >”we are sorry to have caused any confusion Mr anon”
  19. >they both say simultaneously which causes him to stare blankly back before slowly slapping his clock, stopping the alarm
  20. “g-get out of here, I didn’t give you a bloody invitation to sleep with me did i?”
  21. >he shuffles back rather confused and bewildered by the two drones who both climb of from the bed in the same manner
  22. “what are you doing coming in here while I sleep!”
  23. >”your door was unlocked Mr anon” says the first drone
  24. >”yes, we thought we would come and see why it was unlocked” says the other
  25. “its always unlocked…no one is stupid enough to walk into someone ELSES room here”
  26. >the two drones don’t show any reactions like any of the normal plane ponies or normal ponies would, instead they just stand there thinking
  27. >”we do not understand your problem Mr anon”
  28. >they both say simultaneously again, anon lightly hitting his palm into his head then rubbing his eyes
  29. “you can’t just walk on in to someone else’s room you…ughh”
  30. >”why not Mr anon?”
  31. “because!...its not YOUR room, there is a door for a reason”
  32. >”but the door was unlocked”
  33. >they both cock their heads the same, again anon hitting his head with his palm
  34. “never mind the door ok. You don’t go through a door unless you know you are allowed to be on the other side of said door. Got it”
  35. >the two drones take a second communicating to each other silently before looking back over to anon
  36. >”we understand the fault of our actions now, we will not come through your door again while you sleep Mr anon”
  37. “great, now please…get out of my room”
  38. >he points to the door expecting them to go but they remain stationary
  39. “please just go now, I’ve had enough. I need to get ready for work!”
  40. >”but you said not to use your door?”
  41. “I..I said…damn it just get out of here already”
  42. >anon jumps out from his bed picking the two of them up in his arms carrying them to the door as he places them on the others side closing it behind them
  43. >he breathes a sigh of peace watching through the key hole as the two drones walk away in unison
  44. >anon now irons out his uniform before putting it on and heading off to the airstrip for another day of marshalling, deciding to try and forget about the uncomfortable morning, hoping it was just a weird one of thing
  45. >the day working is tiresome and uneventful as usual, especially in the summer heat
  46. >although lunch break with a few of the small C120s was refreshing and a much needed break half way through the 12 hours shift
  47. >luckily you haven’t seen a single glimpse of the two drones that snuggle raped you in your sleep
  48. >he keeps the event to himself, the last thing anon wants is funny rumours going around that he sleeps with the drones.
  49. >he shivers at the thought
  50. >checking your watch shows that your job is over for another day, sun setting as it always does past the end of the runway
  51. >happy to get his ass back to his apartment and spend time with himself in front of the TV
  52. >and so anon makes his way back to his room, along the way nonchalantly checking for any drones hiding in the evenings ever growing shadow
  53. >following his normal routine he tosses his uniform to one side of his small room resting back in his settee with nothing but his boxer shorts on
  54. >just as he remembers he would like no intruders “again” he locks his door, going back to his settee scanning through the TV.
  55. >hours pass into the night watching nothing but game show after game show unfortunately for anon his tiredness gets the better of him and he passes out on his settee with remote still in hand
  56. ___
  57. >”BEEP, BEEP, BEEP”
  58. >his alarm sounds behind him from his bedside table slowly waking him
  59. >sitting up he feels something roll of him and go “THUD” onto the floor
  60. >quickly opening his eyes a drone lays on its back struggling to get back up and another drone latched around his side in a tight grasp
  61. “y-you two!”
  62. >the drone still hugging onto his side is prised of as anon pushes it and it to falls on the floor with a “THUD” stuck on its back like the first
  63. “what did I say before!”
  64. >”but we did as you requested Mr anon”
  65. >both of them say as their legs kick around into the air
  66. >anon angrily gets up leaving them stuck on the floor as he is quick to wash his face with some water
  67. “what are you…why did…arrhh! I thought I told you to get out before”
  68. >he shouts back wiping his face quickly fitting on some trousers
  69. >“we did not use your door as requested”
  70. >“we did not go into your bed as you also stated Mr anon”
  71. >he walks back over to them, legs still kicking for something to help them get up
  72. “why cant you stay out when I ask you to!”
  73. >”but anon, you only told us to not use your door or go into your bed in the previous encounter”
  74. “yes, but that IMPLIED that you would stay out of my room. How did you even get in”
  75. >”we utilised the open window Mr anon”
  76. “god damn it!”
  77. >he looks over to see that indeed his window is wide open
  78. >”anon, we would much appreciate any assistance to return to our original standing positions”
  79. “no, answer this first…then I might help you”
  80. >”we are both listening”
  81. “why, why do you keep…attaching yourselves to me”
  82. >”because your body reading showed us that you where cold, Mr anon”
  83. >”we calculated that our body heat might help you sleep more comfortably”
  84. >anon walks over stopping the irritant alarm, not knowing what to think
  85. ___
  86. >sitting back down on the settee leaning back, anon looks down at the two drones who lay on the floor in front of him
  87. >”have you come to a decision whether you upright us Mr anon” one of the drones states
  88. “huu?..oh right,”
  89. >anon leans over picking up the first drone, flipping him over letting his hooves touch the ground again
  90. >he repeats this for the second drone. the two of them now staring back up at anon with there expressionless faces and as still as statues
  91. >despite there smaller size their stare can almost seem intimidating at times
  92. >”we sense that you feel uneasy, anon”
  93. >”are you suffering from something?”
  94. >he hated how much they spoke one after the other
  95. “n-no. I’m fine, don’t you have something more important to be doing”
  96. >the two drones turn to look at each other for a moment then back at anon communicating silently again
  97. >their ears sometimes twitching as they receive each others communications before speaking out again
  98. >“negative”
  99. >”we have no current objective to achieve”
  100. “then why are you here, just to bother me?”
  101. >the two drones seem to stammer a little looking for a response
  102. >he could have swore that he saw some sort of warning light flash from the two of them
  103. “well?”
  104. >the drones ears lightly flutter as they communicate again
  105. >”we do not have a response that we can convey”
  106. >”we are expressing technical difficulties with out thoughts”
  107. >enough is enough, anon has started to lose his patients and lifts up the two drones by their tails
  108. >they do not flinch or show any signs of worry and dangle almost limp as anon holds them in the air
  109. “you two are going”
  110. >anon carries them over towards his open window and holds them by their tails out of his third story window
  111. >the two drones now lightly kicking there hooves about like small foals
  112. >”Mr anon, we would greatly appreciate if you did not drop us”
  113. >”a fall from this height would not aglow us to pitch up fast enough. Most likely resulting in a fatal crash”
  114. >as much as anon would like them out of his way, permanently. he couldn’t do that to them
  115. >he pulls them back in placing them both on their back so they can not move while he goes of to fetch his keys to the door
  116. >”Mr anon, we do not wish for you to remove us”
  117. >”we request that you will allow us to stay with you”
  118. >still searching for his keys anon gives the two over turned drones a questioning glance
  119. “why~?”
  120. >“we wish to…”
  121. >“assist you anonymous”
  122. >anon scoffs a little
  123. “what could you possible help me with? anyway its not like I need any help EVER”
  124. >anon continues to search through his drawers for his keys quicker
  125. >”Mr anon”
  126. “please quiet, I know your on you backs. Just let me find my keys first”
  127. >”but, anonymous your…”
  128. “what. Fine, just say what you want”
  129. >”we where trying to say”
  130. >”that your keys are in your back pocket”
  131. >anon pauses for a second ,slowly bringing his hand back towards his buttocks feeling the small flat key indeed in his back pocket
  132. >pulling it out he looks over at the two drones
  133. “how…how did you know?”
  134. >”we can easily analyse the trace of a key when left in a soft fabric pocket”
  135. >”even when upturned onto out backs”
  136. >anon turns around feeling uncomfortable about them basically looking at the outline around his butt area
  137. >”do you require our help finding and retrieving anything else”
  138. >”it would certainly be an easy task to perform”
  139. “yes. I suppose you would find something like that easy”
  140. >a little grin appears on his face
  141. “if you “wish to assist me” then I think I have something you can help with finding”
  142. >”it would be our…
  143. >”pleasure anonymous”
  144. >anon slowly turns the two kicking drones back to there feet
  145. “I lost a stack of plates and pans in my kitchen, I was hoping you could help find then for me?”
  146. >”we will begin searching immediately”
  147. >quickly the two drones trot into anons kitchen
  148. >not 30 seconds later they find all of the plates and pans in the dishwasher all clean
  149. “ohh~ so that’s where I left them thanks so much guys. Now if you could only help me to put them all back where they belong that would be great~”
  150. >anon leans back in his settee turning the TV on.
  151. >the sound of his plates being put away by two drones for him
  152. >a short 5 minutes later the two drones return standing in front of anon on his settee
  153. >”we have completed the task you assigned us”
  154. >anon nods his head smiling
  155. “you can stay, for now”
  156. >anon spots a very faint smile from the pair of drones
  157. >”thank you for your reconsideration”
  158. >”we promise to not get in the way too much”
  159. “yes fine, now just sit up here and watch some TV. My day off and I want to relax at least a little bit” “
  160. >the drones comply hopping up onto the settee one of them climbing over anons lap and laying there, the other resting its head into his side
  161. >anon puts his arms in the air a little not expecting them to use him as a climbing frame
  162. “err. what do you think you are doing…”
  163. >the two drones head raise slightly, looking up towards anons
  164. >"we are doing as you specified anonymous"
  165. >"yes, you told us "to sit up here and watch some TV""
  166. >the second drone plays back what anon had just said
  167. "did you just...are you recording me?"
  168. >"we are recording sound files of you, yes"
  169. "great...and don't think about doing that again or i'll throw you out"
  170. >"acknowledged"
  171. >anon starts watching the TV again until he realises the two drones are still attached to him
  172. >anon thought he was almost enjoying close contact snuggling for a moment
  173. "you two. off, now"
  174. >he points to the other end of the settee
  175. >the two slowly scamper over laying next to each other, now not on top of him
  176. >anon can almost swear he saw a small amount of sadness in the drones as they moved away from him
  177. >he shrugs it off and flicks through the TV
  178. ___
  179. >just under an hour passes of anon watching one of his favourite show https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=beSoIQM1Dxk
  180. >as the show ends anon gets up stretching his legs
  181. >the two drones being so quiet and still he almost forgets about them being there, seeing the drones being there causes anon to jump
  182. "ghaa..dont do that"
  183. >"do what anonymous?"
  184. >anon shakes himself waving his hand up
  185. "n-nothing, i'm being stupid"
  186. >he walks into his kitchen retrieving a clean plate and frying pan, placing the pan on the hob and cracking a couple of eggs into it
  187. >the two drones now follow him into the kitchen
  188. >"do you still require out assistance once more anon"
  189. "no"
  190. >"we would be more than happy to..."
  191. "no"
  192. >he silences the two drones as he now scrambles the eggs
  193. >he looks down at the drones who sit there staring up at him
  194. >that blank stare but the subtleness of a small smile on there faces as they seem attached to watching anon and everything he does
  195. >anon thinks to himself "i hope they stop staring at me like that" as he cant help but continue to stare back at them
  196. "you can wait back on the settee if you want, i wont be too long"
  197. >the two drones shake there heads in sync
  198. >"we wish to remain by you"
  199. >"we enjoy your company anonymous"
  200. >no one had ever said that to anon before, and he returns a small awkward smile
  201. "err...thanks"
  202. >finishing the eggs he splays it onto the plate and returns to his settee quickly followed by the drones who sit up next to him
  203. >"what is this food source anon"
  204. >her looks at them giving them an are you serious look
  205. "have you never seen scrambled eggs before?"
  206. >"we have now"
  207. >"we will note this meal down"
  208. "well its easy and quick to make...so i like it"
  209. >the drones stare almost in amazement at how he consumes the eggs and anon catches them staring so intently at him
  210. "can you please give me some personal space over here"
  211. >anon grunts, causing the two drones to back of slightly
  212. >"we did not mean to upset you"
  213. >"we apologise"
  214. "i'm hungry, just so you know now. don't bother me while i'm eating"
  215. >"noted for later"
  216. "good, you wouldn't like me when i'm annoyed so don't forget"
  217. >putting his now empty plate on the side table he leans back looking at the drones
  218. "what are your names?"
  219. >"names?"
  220. >"we do not have names like you anonymous"
  221. "what do you mean?"
  222. >"our names consist of a long list of designation numbers"
  223. "oh, don't bother me with a boring number then...anyway, i'm going out"
  224. >"do you need assistance going out?"
  225. "no i..."
  226. >anon stops to think for a second looking at his two clingy drones companions, if he would call them that
  227. "ignore that, i guess a few extra hand...hooves might not be a bad thing~. especially if i have to haul something big"
  228. >a small happy bleep emanates from the two drones as they wait patiently for anon to tell them where they are going
  229. >"may we ask you where we will be heading"
  230. >anon puts on a T-shirt then pulls on his jacket
  231. "just up to the local store for somethings i need, you two might find yourself something there two. i know that they cater to planes...or drones to"
  232. >anon now grabs his backpack unlocking his door, the drones intently follow behind him as he exits his room into the corridor
  233. >walking to the store, anon continuously turns back the two drones always right behind him in the same place.
  234. >he receives some odd looking stares from other planes and a few ponies who see the drones following behind him
  235. >some even laugh a little at the uncommon sight which causes anon to feel a little awkward and uneasy about his drone followers
  236. "look, can you two kind of not follow me so...stalker like, you're kind of making everything a bit awkward"
  237. >"but what if you require something and we are not within a close enough range"
  238. "yes, but i shouldn't need..."
  239. >"but we insist anonymous"
  240. >anon stands back up scratching the back of his head
  241. "alright fine, how about this then"
  242. >anon pulls down his backpack and opens it up
  243. "you two can fit in here then?"
  244. >the two drones, as compliant as they are one after the other climb into anon's bag without much of a complaint to be had
  245. >probably because they like to be so close to him
  246. >he does the zip back up a little bit leaving only the heads of the drones poking out the top of his bag as he swings it back onto his back
  247. >he still feels a little awkward carrying two drones on him instead, but at least he's getting less hassle from passers by
  248. >a short 5 minute walk later and anon reaches the shop, the drones not making a sound being as quiet as they are
  249. >it didn't help that is was mid-day and the shop seemed to be spewing with ponies and plane ponies left and right
  250.
  251. ---------
  252.
  253. >Making his way to the back of the shop, the drones become a little fidgety in his bag.
  254. >"Anonymous, we request to be able to look for our own appliances."
  255. "After I get my own things, first."
  256. >Anon keeps them in his backpack and begins searching down an isle for anything but oats and hay.
  257. >Sifting through many things he found what he wants: Plain old corn based cereal.
  258. >Just as he's about to pick it up, one of the drones climb out of the bag and rests over his shoulder, looking at what he is looking at.
  259. "Can't you stay back in the bag?"
  260. >"I am sorry, but we where interested in seeing what you like."
  261. >Now the other drone joins it's companion by leaning over his other shoulder.
  262. >Anon sighs, picking up a few more boxes of the same cereal as the drones watch from his shoulders.
  263. >"Anon, could we pass by the cameras in store please"
  264. "Really...?"
  265. >"We will be very grateful if you give us the opportunity." the drones say.
  266. "Yeah...whatever. As long as you're not finding out new ways to spy on me."
  267. >Sighing again Anon walks through the shop with two drones on his shoulders, and 3 boxes of cereal in his arms.
  268. >Needless to say, he stood out like a sore thumb.
  269. >Anon was forcing himself to keep a smile on his face.
  270. >As soon as he turned down into the electronics isle the two drones perk up.
  271. >The drone on his left shoulder stood up, leaning onto his head.
  272. "Hey, calm the hell down."
  273. >If only he could stuff the drones into his bag and zip it shut...
  274. >He tried to push the drone back down with his head only for the drone to end up laying over his head like an adorable, creepy spy hat.
  275. "Geh!"
  276. >The drones let out small happy beeping sounds, the drone on his head wrapping his hooves around his head and eyes.
  277. "Shit, get off I can't see for shit!"
  278. >After he said that, Anon got the attention of everyone within a 10 yard radius by dropping the items in his hand and nearly dropping the drones.
  279. >Pulling the drone off from his head, Anon stares at it with a nice teaspoon of rage.
  280. "I gave you a chance, back in the bag."
  281. >Anon then stops and takes off the drones.
  282. >Anon pulls off his backpack and drops the drones into it, zipping it up tighter than last time, again leaving their head poking out.
  283. >putting the bag back on he collects his cereal boxes back up from the floor
  284. "I'm paying for these and we're going now, no more looking at the cameras."
  285. >"B-but Anonymous..."
  286. "Shush!"
  287. >"..We are sorry."
  288. "Tough."
  289. >The two drones now droop their heads.
  290. >Anon ignores them and he leaves that area of the store.
  291. >The drones look even more let down now
  292. >Anon quickly pays for his food, leaving the shop with the three boxes of cereal in a plastic bag.
  293. >Walking back down to his apartment, Anon doesn't talk to the drones, but the two drones try talking to him.
  294. >"You will not drop us out of the window will you?"
  295. >"We can apologize for our actions if you wish!"
  296. >Over and over again they continue, but Anon forces himself to put up with them on the way back.
  297. -------------------
  298.
  299. >Upon returning Anonymous promptly tosses the two little drones onto his sofa
  300. >They land in a little roll, quick to upright themselves and sit up straight
  301. >Anon wanders off into the kitchen to put away the cereal boxes
  302. >The two drones await his return, still let down that they didn't fully get to look at the selection of camera equipment
  303. >They express there sadness with quiet monotone beeping from one to another
  304. >Anon returns moments later and the drones continue as they where as he sits down besides them, flipping on the Tv and paying no attention to them
  305. >Not many minutes later the drones become fidgety and restless, playfully swatting each other with their wings
  306. >As they increase in playfulness with each other the drone Sitting closes to anon accidentally slaps his butt cheek with its wing
  307. >They both freeze and direct their sensors towards Anon, and much to their surprise lets out a light chuckle
  308. >One of the drones directs himself looking up at Anonymous better
  309. >"You are not angered by that?"
  310. >He pats the drones smooth featureless head
  311. "no, I guess its just nice to have the company..."
  312. >he sighs drifting into other thoughts before snapping back
  313. "Anyway enough messing around for a minute, its been a couple of days and I still don't know your name"
  314. >He cocks his head down towards them both waiting for a response
  315. >"ZP8432"
  316. >"And I am ZP8433"
  317. >The drones finish by happily flashing their collision light on and off in synch
  318. >its going to be a long day.
  319. ___________
  320.
  321. >One week later
  322. >Aircraft marshalling
  323. >God how much I hate doing this job, planes putting you in places I shouldn't be all day
  324. >Sniffing himself he scrunches his face up from the smell of ATF on his clothes as he slams through his apartment door
  325. >His sudden entry immediately awakening his two drone companions who have huddled up together on his sofa
  326. >"ANONYMOUS!"
  327. >The adoring drones race into his chest across the room almost knocking out his wind
  328. >"We have missed you Anonymous"
  329. >Each one wraps around his legs like very tight and heavy lead weights
  330. "You don't need to remind me everyday how much you miss me"
  331. >He chuckles and wades a few feet in with them still around his legs with much effort
  332. "Enough attention, back to your sofa"
  333. >He points them back to the sofa and reluctantly they do what he says this time with droopy ears
  334. >Over this week they seem to have made the sofa their bed
  335. "Now, this fuel soaked human needs a shower
  336. >He stops before relieving himself of his clothes scratching his chin
  337. "Hmm, and maybe if you're good I'll take you two down to the end of the airstrip"
  338. >Anonymous chuckles
  339. >The drones flop over each other before sitting up and nodding their heads like the time you took them to the supermarket
  340. >wont be taking them there again
  341.
  342. ------------
  343.
  344. >Feels great to be washing off the smell of ATF
  345. >Grumbling again at his job Anon thoroughly washes over himself, the hot water bringing him back to a relaxed state of mind
  346. >That is until the sound of the door to the bathroom closes shut with a loud *click*
  347. >being sure to cover his heirlooms he peers around the curtain
  348. >"Are you ok Anonymous, you look startled?"
  349. >Sitting right there, in the centre of the bathroom. Looking. At best its only one of them and not them both
  350. "What are you doing! I told you about this before!"
  351. >It tilts its head to the left, then the right. Looking at him quizzically
