  1. Vera Smith hails from a small village somewhere in a valley in the mountains, mainly consisting of Dragonborn, Tiefling, and a few Luca here or there, and of course, more than a few Zorark, perhaps pretending to be any of the above, perhaps not bothering to hide. In this village, tales are told of three beings. One Dragonborn who ascended to the planes between moments, choosing to appear at any moment in history at any place. Her twin sister, a Tiefling, who was rewarded by the gods for her efforts thwarting Tiamat by allowing her to touch Creation itself and craft her own domains from the raw materials of the planes. And one Luca, who chose dominion over the very space around you right now, who to this day floats around and pranks the population. Vera claims to have shared drinks with at least a couple of them, but no one really knows if she’s telling the truth or not (she claims these immortals “can‘t hold a drink worth a damn“.). In the town square there are three statues dedicated to them, with the visage of a silver dragon creeping up the base of each one. They say these statues are blessed by the hand of the goddess Emiline herself, but no one is really sure.

  3. In this village, Psionic classes and Bards find their place. Vera of course, chose the musical path as early as the tender age of 9, and tried many instruments, eventually finding her place with the fiddle. She never did see fit to disguise herself as the rest of her family did, and as a result got a lot of stares as a child. She tried many mentors, all of whom played many instruments, and eventually she found her special talent playing the fiddle. (Though the ocarina did come close.) By her mid-20’s, she was shaping up to be a most wonderful Cunning Bard, and set out on a tour of the country. Not long after that, she met a man by the name of Clive, who chose the interesting route of… comedy. When they returned home, she bore two daughters, named Scarlet and Jaqueline, respectively, who soon chose similar routes.

  5. In her day, after her old master died, she has mentored many a young student, including her own daughters and eventually her three granddaughters. In her spare time she took up training in the broadsword. She has set out to see the world again since then, spending time all over, in nicer villages that seemed they could use some music. There indeed was one in particular that she took a liking to, faaar up in the cold, cold mountains. A village of ice elementals... strangely enough, all Artificers. She spent a good year there, building up a resistance to the cold and taking the time to gain some knowledge in alchemy. In particular she gained a certain fondness for one little Glace girl of about six years old, and decided maybe she would like to live there.

  7. And indeed, she spent about a year and a half in the village, maybe two years. Depends on what she feels like telling you. And she would still be there today, if not for having been called home by her oldest daughter Scarlet, to help in taking care of her two oldest, a pair of feisty twins named Zorana and Valeriya. And indeed, she did return home after receiving that call, and remained there until the twins were old enough to manage themselves. She has been travelling since, intending to maybe make her way back to that village.
