[19:44]	`GM	And then dinner happened. See also: Colonel Walt Samuelson, Kaitlyn Katrin, Liu Long, Jonah Moors, Ai.  The dining hall is spacious enough to accommodate dozens, but currently only accommodates four, huddled together at a table too large for them.
[19:50]	Ai`	sits before a mostly-empty plate that holds only tiny portions. In between observing dining etiquette, she prods the food and takes microscopic samples.
[19:50]	Liu	is concentrating very, very hard on using a fork correctly, still occasionally shifting around in her pants. The unfortunate silverware will probably have her fingerprints embossed in it after the meal.
[19:50]	Jonah	maintains a good posture, though his face doesn't look so good.
[19:52]	Jonah	nabs some ice cubes from the fridge on his way here, and put one in his mouth to cool his nerves down.
[19:52]	`GM	[Kat is surprisingly good with a fork, despite wearing gloves over her paws that make her hands appear bulky and unwieldy]
[19:53]	Liu	keeps her mouth full, chasing each bite with another forkful, and never letting Jonah enter her field of view. Mostly, she watches the Colonel, or the wall innocently close to him.
[19:54]	`GM	[Kaitlyn looks around, acting like something's amiss.]
[19:54]	Jonah	busies himself with food, slowly transporting it into his digestive system. He's too burnt up to strike a chat.
[19:55]	Jonah	*burnt out
[19:55]	`GM	Kitkat: "Hey, is Wally coming?"
[19:55]	Ai`	"I do not know."
[19:55]	Ai`	states, matter-of-factly.
[19:57]	`GM	Colonel: "Mr. Wallberg is currently preoccupied restoring server functionality to the rift laboratory, after its power was unexpectedly cut."
[19:57]	`GM	[The Colonel does not look to be entirely chipper while mentioning this. As if he's ever chipper to begin with.]
[19:58]	Jonah	refrain from giving any remarks.
[19:59]	Liu	bites her lip, setting down a spoon that now resembles seaweed, and slowly chews. Her tail flicks anxiously, restlessly, several times hitting the chairs to either side of her.
[20:00]	Jonah	"Eh. You probably need a new cutlery."
[20:00]	Jonah	notes the deformed state of Liu's tools.
[20:00]	Liu	"Co-"
[20:01]	Ai`	internally notes that more efficient power supplies must be found; if her hosts damage their infrastructure every time, that will not bode well.
[20:01]	`GM	[Kitkat bends over the table to look at the not-silverware-anymore.]
[20:02]	Liu	begins, before choking on a bite of casserole
[20:02]	`GM	"Oh, wow... That's..."
[20:02]	Jonah	"Co?"
[20:02]	`GM	[Kat backs off before expounding any further, eying the Colonel.]
[20:03]	Liu	swallows, after hitting her sternum several times.
[20:03]	Jonah	props himself up and change from not-give-a-fuck-about-anything mode into giving-somewhat-fuck mode.
[20:03]	Liu	"Um, C-Colonel, could... Could I possible have a uniform with a skirt?"
[20:03]	Ai`	also ponders some design improvements, seeing the damage.
[20:03]	Liu	finally forces out, volume dropping off. She fidgets again.
[20:04]	Jonah	"Oh. That."
[20:04]	Jonah	goes back to not-give-a-fuck-about-anything mode.
[20:04]	`GM	[The Colonel raises an eyebrow, looking at Liu from under his bushy brows.]
[20:05]	`GM	Colonel: "Is the regulation uniform you were provided inadequate, Ms. Long?"
[20:05]	Liu	"My tail doesn't fit well, see..."
[20:05]	Liu	seizes her tail about the middle, holding it up for display.
[20:07]	`GM	Colonel: "I am well aware you have a tail, Ms. Long. I assumed Ms. Katrin was to alter your uniform to suit it."
[20:08]	Liu	bites her lip again
[20:08]	`GM	[The Colonel casts a sideways glance at Kitkat, who looks the other way before deciding against that and looking at Walt straight-on.]
[20:09]	`GM	Kitkat: "Umm, Myister Samuelson, I DID try, but, well, her tail is different than myine."
[20:10]	`GM	Kitkat: "I don't think pants are going to work for her, sir."
[20:13]	Liu	's tail twitches in her hold, then twice, matched by her face tensing.
[20:14]	Liu	's tail then snaps to the side, pushing her own chair several feet away and clipping Jonah across the forehead, moving like a propeller blade
[20:20]	Liu	's tail barely misses Jonah's head, the breeze fluttering his hair as Liu and her chair spill sideways, onto the floor. Her tail continues to thrash for several seconds, caught in the chair back.
[20:21]	Jonah	grabs the end of her tail out of pure lucky reflex.
[20:21]	Jonah	"Whoa what the hell-"
[20:23]	Liu	's tail-tip has a soft, feathery texture, but the individual strands are quite stiff.
[20:23]	Liu	"Aaah!"
[20:23]	Liu	gasps
[20:23]	Jonah	"?"
[20:23]	Jonah	rubs it with his thumb.
[20:24]	`GM	Colonel: "You will please learn to keep your extremities in order while at the dinner table, Ms. Long."
[20:24]	Jonah	"Well she IS long."
[20:24]	Ai`	simply watches the chaos. After a short moment, she faces the Colonel.
[20:24]	Jonah	remarks.
[20:24]	Jonah	"Her tail, that is."
[20:24]	`GM	[The Colonel sighs, and eats another bite. Kids...]
[20:25]	Ai`	"Colonel?"
[20:25]	`GM	Colonel: "Mmm? Yes, Entity Ai?"
[20:25]	Liu	curls up, hiding her face and grabbing her horns, while her tail vibrates and squirms.
[20:26]	Ai`	"May I gain 'Internet' access?"
[20:26]	Ai`	specifically accentuates the word.
[20:26]	Ai`	"This will smooth cultural integration."
[20:26]	Jonah	o 0 (huh. This is pretty fun!)
[20:26]	Jonah	keeps on rubbing the feathery tail.
[20:29]	`GM	[The Colonel's face emits an almost-imperceptible frown. However, Jonah notices it despite his preoccupation.]
[20:29]	Liu	's entire body shakes, the tail wriggling like a caught fish, tugging against the offending grip
[20:30]	`GM	Colonel: "What are your specific intentions concerning this internet access, Entity Ai?"
[20:31]	Ai`	glances to Liu, making only a short quip before returning to the conversation at hand.
[20:31]	Ai`	"Liu seems to be in distress."
[20:32]	Ai`	"I do not know many things about your world. Internet access will enable me to perform my duties with knowledge."
[20:33]	Ai`	"Data common to your world will enable me to interface in a more natural pattern."
[20:33]	Jonah	, noticing the unpleasantness in the colonel's eyes, pull to an immediate stop and goes all military etiquette on that food.
[20:34]	Jonah	"---!"
[20:34]	Liu	's tail slithers down to her side, where she remains curled next to her toppled chair
[20:35]	Jonah	"Don't worry Ai I'll help you with that you don't need the internet for that."
[20:36]	Jonah	goes rapid fire in order to remedy the situation.
[20:36]	`GM	Colonel: "I will consult the communications officer later tonight on the matter, Entity Ai."
[20:36]	`GM	Colonel: "Ms. Long, on your feet!"
[20:36]	Jonah	's mind goes like this ;
[20:37]	Jonah	o 0 (aw shit aw shit aw shit aw shit aw shit aw shit aw shit aw shit aw shit aw shit aw shit aw shit aw shit )
[20:37]	`GM	[The Colonel gets up from his chair as well when he says this, walking over to Liu's side of the table.]
[20:37]	Ai`	"Internet access and Jonah's assistance both will be appreciated."
[20:37]	Liu	gets up, face scarlet, jaw set like a rock.
[20:39]	Ai`	observes Liu closely.
[20:39]	`GM	[The Colonel crosses his arms behind his back, circling Liu as he inspects her waist and tail.]
[20:39]	Liu	's tail occasionally shakes or flicks, but remains perfectly still along with the rest of her when it isn't.
[20:40]	`GM	[Kaitlyn knows better than to get involved when the Colonel is "like this". Which tends to mean she doesn't get involved near him.]
[20:41]	`GM	Colonel: "Ms. Katrin. You are certain that Ms. Long's uniform's slacks cannot sustain the girth of her tail?"
[20:42]	Liu	fidgets, shifting from foot to foot
[20:42]	`GM	Kitkat: "I, umm, well, I'm nyot CERTAIN. I don't have her tail, myou see."
[20:43]	`GM	[The Colonel sighs, and turns to Ai.]
[20:43]	`GM	Colonel: "Entity Ai. Are you capable of performing structural analysis?"
[20:44]	Ai`	"Yes."
[20:45]	Ai`	withdraws her finger from "her" food, having just done that.
[20:46]	Jonah	observes. This is pretty interesting...
[20:47]	`GM	Colonel: "Are Ms. Long's slacks structurally sound with the alterations made to accommodate her tail?"
[20:47]	Ai`	promptly stares at Liu's ass. And tail.
[20:50]	Ai`	"With the present design paradigm, free range of movement would constitute an aperture of at least..."
[20:50]	Ai`	stalls, realizing she hasn't heard of terran measurements with example lengths. She instead holds up her hands to represent a rather long space.
[20:51]	Ai`	"This large."
[20:52]	Ai`	omits the potential of making a new garment. Technological cross-contamination is prohibited.
[20:52]	`GM	[The Colonel stares at her, not comprehending.]
[20:52]	`GM	Colonel: "Entity Ai, you have not answered the question."
[20:52]	Ai`	rephrases herself.
[20:53]	Ai`	"The answer is no. Movement is inhibited and adequate adaptation will destroy the 'slacks'."
[20:54]	`GM	[The Colonel frowns again, but it's a frown of consideration, and he nods in acceptance of the situation.]
[20:56]	`GM	Colonel: "Ms. Long, I will send a request to the mainland for a regulation skirt that will accommodate your tail. Until that time, you are permitted to wear a non-regulation skirt."
[20:56]	Liu	's face brightens
[20:57]	`GM	Colonel: "You may be seated."
[20:57]	Liu	"Thank you!"
[20:58]	Liu	hurriedly bows, setting up her chair- the back notably deformed from her thrashing- and sits back down, sideways.
[20:58]	`GM	Kitkat: "I've got a few skirts I brought with mye, Liu; hopefully one of 'em'll fit!"
[20:58]	Jonah	"Huh. Good for you, eh?"
[20:58]	Liu	"Really?"
[20:58]	Liu	's ears perk up
[20:58]	`GM	[Kat sizes up Liu and her mouth wiggles a little.]
[20:59]	`GM	Kitkat: "Well, umm... Actually, myou're probably a little bigger than mye, but... We'll myake it work!"
[21:04]	`GM	[The Colonel returns to his seat and continues his meal.]
[21:05]	Jonah	[So does Jonah, awkwardly.]
[21:05]	Ai`	raises another question of logistics.
[21:05]	Ai`	"If the lab is offline, where can I gain energy overnight?"
[21:07]	Liu	hums under her breath as she resumes eating with her distorted fork.
[21:08]	`GM	{The Colonel sighs. He knew he'd have to deal with this kind of stuff on this island, but he really didn't WANT to.]
[21:09]	`GM	Colonel: "Do you require it for constant operation?"
[21:10]	Ai`	"Yes."
[21:11]	`GM	Colonel: "And if you do not receive an adequate supply?"
[21:12]	Ai`	pauses, considering.
[21:13]	Ai`	"Protocol indicates I must receive energy. I would change to a high-efficiency 'photovoltaic' array."
[21:14]	Ai`	"I would otherwise become inactive."
[21:14]	Liu	bumps Jonah's leg with her tail, as it swishes back and forth, from how she's sitting.
[21:15]	Jonah	"?"
[21:15]	Jonah	turns to look at Liu.
[21:15]	Jonah	"need something?"
[21:15]	Liu	"Hm?"
[21:15]	Jonah	"?"
[21:16]	Jonah	just look at her with a blank expression.
[21:16]	Liu	turns to him, fork in her mouth, but her expression immediately sours, and she glances away. She hasn't realized it, maybe?
[21:17]	`GM	Colonel: "Would a common wall outlet be sufficient?"
[21:18]	Ai`	"Only for extremely limited activity. Infrastructure damage is likely."
[21:19]	Ai`	keeps her eyes squarely centered on the Colonel's own in her own slightly-too-direct-and-constant way.
[21:19]	`GM	[Such a strategy only makes him want to not welcome his new robot overlord even more.]
[21:20]	`GM	Kitkat: "How 'bout the fridge plug? That's big, right?"
[21:20]	Ai`	faces Kitkat.
[21:21]	Ai`	"Specialized large power sources are unlikely to receive damage."
[21:21]	Ai`	returns to the Colonel.
[21:21]	Ai`	"Linkage to the island's main power supply is optimal."
[21:21]	`GM	[The Colonel allows almost no time to pass after Ai suggests this.]
[21:22]	`GM	Colonel: "Denied."
[21:22]	Liu	's tail bats again, the feathery tip brushing Jonah's knee
[21:23]	Ai`	"I can connect to large sources without damage."
[21:23]	Ai`	continues to push the point, ever so slightly.]
[21:24]	`GM	Colonel: "You will be allowed access to the refrigerator outlet for tonight. Inform me tomorrow morning of the adequacy of the source."
[21:24]	Jonah	grabs the tail and drags it along his leg. This is kinda tickling.
[21:25]	Jonah	is reminded of a toothbrush.
[21:25]	Ai`	"This is reasonable, although the source is unlikely to be sufficient."
[21:26]	Liu	jolts, patting her chest again to swallow. The fork is starting to twist up again, but she continues eating, trying to edge it out of his grip without making a scene.
[21:26]	`GM	Colonel: "That remains to be determined."
[21:29]	Ai`	considers the point closed and turns her attention to Liu and Jonah.
[21:29]	Jonah	is having a time of his life playing with the tailbrush.
[21:30]	Ai`	"Is Jonah creating distress again?"
[21:30]	Jonah	"huhwha-?"
[21:30]	Ai`	infers, seeing further damage to Liu's tableware and the lead-up to the previous outburst.
[21:30]	Ai`	"Liu?"
[21:30]	Ai`	questions her.
[21:30]	Liu	"What- are you talking about?"
[21:31]	Liu	asks, straining a smile. Another kink appears in her fork.
[21:32]	`GM	[The Colonel is :|ing it up over there.]
[21:33]	Ai`	"Your utensils are sustaining further damage. Previous data shows this is distress."
[21:33]	Ai`	"Can I help remove its source?"
[21:34]	Liu	appears to seriously consider it, for much longer than it should actually take.
[21:34]	Liu	"Yes."
[21:34]	Ai`	simply shifts her stare to Jonah.
[21:34]	Ai`	[It's even more unnerving than usual.]
[21:35]	Jonah	"You mean this?"
[21:35]	Jonah	brushes.
[21:35]	Jonah	"Wow. So doing this made you all flutter-flutter."
[21:35]	Liu	barely stifles a squeal
[21:36]	Ai`	"Cease activity."
[21:37]	Ai`	declares, still on target.
[21:37]	Jonah	"Sure♥"
[21:37]	Jonah	ceases. Now he got one more trick to use against this drakegirl.
[21:38]	Liu	's tail withdraws with a sharp snap, clapping him soundly in the gut.
[21:38]	Jonah	"Uw-"
[21:38]	Ai`	logs Jonah's odd intonation for later analysis.
[21:38]	Ai`	"Thank you."
[21:39]	Liu	scoots her chair sideways, giving him a sidelong glare.
[21:39]	`GM	[The Colonel logs his continuing disapproval of "kids these days".]
[21:40]	Jonah	is ow-ing while faceplanting the table.
[21:40]	Liu	"I'm done. May I be excused?"
[21:40]	Liu	stands, adjusting her pants.
[21:41]	`GM	[The Colonel nods, saying nothing.]
[21:43]	Jonah	is already done for a while, but he's not been ordered to leave yet.
[21:43]	`GM	Kitkat: "Oh, good, lemme show nyou my room, we can see what fits!"
[21:44]	Ai`	barely "ate" a thing. It's good that her portions were fittingly tiny.
[21:45]	Liu	"Sure!"
[21:45]	Liu	claps her hands, then glances behind her.
[21:46]	Liu	"I need you, too."
[21:54]	Liu	lifts Jonah over her shoulder in a fireman's carry.
[21:54]	`GM	[Kaitlyn stares at Jonah mischievously.]
[21:54]	Liu	"Let's go!"
[21:54]	`GM	Kitkat: "Ohh, him too~?"
[21:55]	`GM	Kitkat: "Nyahahaha~..."
[21:55]	Liu	"Well, I need someone to give an opinion,"
[21:55]	Liu	states, matter-of-factly
[21:55]	Jonah	"What the-?!"
[21:55]	Jonah	is being picked up like a laundry.
[21:55]	Ai`	stands and readies herself to follow. It is best to gather as much data as possible while others are active.
[21:55]	Jonah	"This is invasion of human rights!"
[21:56]	Liu	"It's equal payment. Anyway, I'm sure you'll like, it, right?"
[21:56]	Liu	grins wide, showing her teeth
[21:58]	Jonah	"I demand laaaaaawyerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!"
[21:58]	Jonah	flails.
[21:58]	`GM	Kitkat: "Sorry, bro, I went to college for pre-myed!"
[21:59]	Jonah	"auuuuuugh."
[21:59]	Ai`	"I will ensure Liu does not undertake lethal action."
[21:59]	Jonah	feel the despair of getting man(?)handled my a woman.
[21:59]	Liu	visibly deflates from Sumi's remark
[21:59]	Jonah	"!"
[22:00]	Jonah	CHANCE!
[22:00]	Jonah	facedives Liu's twin airbags system.
[22:02]	Liu	opens her mouth, but then sets her teeth with an awkward expression, cheeks flushing ever-so-faintly
[22:02]	Jonah	use this chance to wriggles as hard as he could.
[22:03]	Jonah	also waddles his face left and right to cause bigger distractions!
[22:03]	Liu	blushes harder, but at the same time clamps down her grip harder. Much harder.
[22:04]	Liu	"You aren't getting away,"
[22:04]	Liu	growls, walking faster
[22:04]	Ai`	follows them, noting Liu's apparent vulnerability.
[22:05]	Jonah	threatens.
[22:05]	Jonah	"if you keep hurting me I am gonna puke."
[22:05]	Ai`	"Do you require assistance?"
[22:05]	Jonah	"on your shoulder. like this."
[22:05]	Ai`	offers, ambiguous.
[22:05]	Jonah	"I am totally gonna puke like a scared sea slug."
[22:05]	Liu	"If you puke on my shirt, I will break you in half."
[22:06]	`GM	Kitkat: "I'd do what she says, kid~"
[22:06]	Jonah	"Oh man this is just /superb/."
[22:06]	`GM	Kitkat: "Come on, what ELSE is there to do around here?"
[22:06]	Jonah	bleughr. He cease resistance.
[22:07]	`GM	Kitkat: "Well, besides swimming. And surfing. And boating. And exploring. And... nyeah, okay."
[22:07]	Liu	"We're allowed to go swimming?!"
[22:07]	Liu	's eyes shine
[22:07]	`GM	Kitkat: "Sure, why nyot?!"
[22:07]	`GM	Kitkat: "We're on an island!"
[22:08]	Liu	"The beach was off limits back home. Something about rocks and sharks?"
[22:08]	Liu	shrugs Jonah
[22:08]	Jonah	"Don't shrug while I am ON your shoulder!"
[22:09]	Liu	"I couldn't hear that, were you just giving me order?"
[22:09]	Liu	*orders
[22:09]	Liu	shows her teeth again
[22:10]	Jonah	"I HATE YOUUUUUUUU!"
[22:10]	Jonah	flails.
[22:10]	Liu	"Hihihihihihihihihihi~"
