Enlisted Geist

Observations of enlisted personnel to Giest.
We have currently issued an M-4 That is known to have a Geist to (information redacted).

The goal of this study is to see the impact on combat performance and operational readiness.

The enlisted personnel do not know that they are in a study nor do they know that they are being observed.

Observations are being carried out through hidden cameras, and drones.

Day 1. The m4 carbine was given to Private first class ( Data expunged). He is a 23 year old white male from South Carolina. The current location they are operating is ( information classified).

On the first day the rifle functioned as normal and did not reveal its super natural nature.

Day 2.
The rifle revealed that it had a Geist to private(Data expunged) . Individual was shocked to see a female where he had left his service rifle previously. As a side note said individual shall be reprimanded for leaving his gun out in the open while doing security patrols of the base.

Interaction went atypical generally due to the subjects confusion of how a person could be there, considering the nearest town is 70 miles away.


Day 3.
Private( data removed) has shown the Geist to the rest of his squad. Reactions have been varied.

One individual Private(name deleted) seems to have taken up worshiping the rifle, as he has taken multiple photos of the Geist on his smartphone and has written numerous poems in the course of a day.

Day 4.
Test group 1 has apparently snuck a large amount of liquor onto their base of operations against military regulations. It would seem one of them has a contact in the logistics department who shipped them food dyed vodka in shipments labeled as anti freeze.
After the termination of this test said individuals will be appropriately disciplined.

Day 5.

After completing a combat patrol of ( location expunged) Test group 1 proceeded to party, through the consumption of smuggled alcohol. There was inappropriate contact had with the Geist multiple times through out the night. Despite objections due to the indecent nature of the recordings I have put in a request to stop the test to administration and penalize said soldiers.

Day 6:
Administration has denied that motion and wants to let the test continue.
The Geist has had intimate relations with all of the men in the squad.
All of the men have put in order for various gun parts. EX: A heavy match grade stainless steel bull barrel of approximately 18.5 inches, a match grade trigger with 3 pounds of resistance. Along with stainless steal internals.
One of them also ordered a Leupold D-EVO scope along with a Leuopold carbine optic. An order for 500 rounds of solid machined copper match grade ammunition.

All of the orders have been placed with express shipping. I am concerned because if Geist have such an effect most of the recruits will end up spending their money and time with the Geist this may be detrimental to their human relationships.

Day 7. Test group one outfitted the rifle with all its new parts. The visual appearance of the Geist has changed.
A comprehensive list of changes as follows, Silver hair instead of black, red pupils that glow and glasses, along with a change in outfit, instead of standard army issue fatigues the Geist appears to be wearing a parade uniform, there has also been an increase in height by 2 inches to 5foot 11 and an increase in bust.

Day 8.
the group of enlisted has taken turns feeding and caring for the Geist. In return the Geist has once again engaged in behavior that is a violation of us army policy.

Day 9. Others on base have learned about the Geist and are joining in on the ordering of Match ammo. Some of the more artistically talented have taken to drawing posters of the Geist with slogans.

Day 10.
The enlisted men held a religious service for the Geist 3 times through out the day.
At 7am , 2pm and 7pm respectively, they have declared this to be a daily event.

After 7 as a group every enlisted soldier violated military policy with regards to interaction between individuals. I am once again putting in a request to terminate this operation.

Day 20.

At this point the enlisted men have made an alter and throne for the Geist out of weapons they have obtained from fallen insurgents. They have also established a religious order led by Sgt (information removed) who serves as an official communicator and leader for the Geist. He has an inner group that has high priority access to the Geist before the general group.

Many men have been making offerings to the Geist in the form of High quality stocks and optics. The most recent purchases have been FLIR thermal optics as to quote the men " The goddess must see in the dark.."

The group has moved farther and farther from military protocol, most individuals are no longer following the dress code and are personally modifying their equipment in non approved ways.

Currently the commissioned officers have not noticed a change in the enlisted behavior due to a general dereliction of duty.

The officer staff present merely goes through the motions, to meet the minimum required to get their paper work done, and consistently disappear to sleep or consume forbidden substances. It is unknown how they will react to these developments.

Day 25
The enlisted have taken cpt.( name removed)hostage after he attempted to remove the gun from the PVT(information removed) as it did not meet army regulations. As such the other officers have put in a request for reinforcements to put down this rebellion.

50 individuals from (data expunged) have been sent to put down the rebellion.

Day 30,
The rebelling troops are no longer fighting under the US flag but one that is an m4 carbine with 5 stars. The enlisted troops are performing much better then their results on combat training tests would show it is unclear if the Geist has a direct relationship to this.

They have also engaged in psychological warfare by dropping pamphlets that contain informational material about their "goddess" urging the attacking forces to surrender.

They have also tried to convert captured members of the assaulting force and have had success.
The general initiation starts with the said individual having an intimate relations with the Geist.

Once again this is against military policy, I have filled all the appropriate paper work so these individuals can be prosecuted.

Day 30.

Things are spiraling out of control, we were able to keep this rebellion a secret as it was in a military out post in the middle of Afghanistan and away from population centers until today.

Currently the force has seized the nearest town and is demanding that the population converts. Currently we are denying any and all allegations about this rebellion.

Attempts to extract the Geist using special forces has proven unsuccessful, resulting in the loss of a transport helicopter and 10 navy seals.

The rate of conversion amongst held prisoners is high with roughly 60 percent of the captives adopting the Geist worship within 3 days of capture.
Also the troops are now deploying what appear to be battle priests. These consist of the inner members that surround the Geist.
They no longer wear regular us army clothing, instead they go shirtless and wearing only their pants and wear a bandolier of spent cartridges.
They also will at times pull out a crucifix made out of spent bullet casings and engage in chanting.

This seems to have a bolstering effect on the men surrounding them, increasing loyalty and troop performance, while somehow causing weapons jams and other issues amongst opposing forces. It is unknown how this works currently and if it is connected to the Geist but it is assumed as such.

The fact that they are currently occupying a town of 200 people in a foreign country is bad.
I am not sure how much longer the US military can deny that there is a rouge operation going on. Luckily we they still have not found the hidden cameras.

Day 40.

Most of the local population has switched from Islam to the worship of the Geist. This is a rather unexpected development, but it would seem the Geist has once again engaged in immoral behavior with a few town elders, resulting in them putting their support behind the rebelling American forces.

Further concern is that the rebelling troops have begun broadcasting to near by bases calling for defections from the military to join their cause.
Also they have established contact with known militants in the area and are trying to convert them to their cause.

Currently command is considering a drone strike to take the Geist out the only issue is that the Geist is surrounded by former U.S. Military personnel. And we are unsure how to cover up this incident.

Day 45. Command has finally admitted to the public that they have lost control over that specified operational group.
Also they have managed to convert local militants, and numerous enlisted personal and a few officers have defected from nearby military bases.

To counteract this we have increased the presence of military police units and have stated that anyone who deserts the US military will be executed on site.

The group has also acquired numerous Toyota Hilux's and is using them as a means of transportation. Most of the trucks have an M2 browning and a primitive steel turret.

Currently command is debating bombing the base.
This task is made difficult not only the legal implications but the fact that they have some how obtained a patriot missile system from defecting troops.

Day 50.
the debauchery and immoral behavior is spreading. Many of the men have taken to sleeping with their guns, not only that but the men are using local internet connections and have set up a website that outlines their religion and methods of worship and ways for people including US civilians to contribute.

Once again their forces seem to have supernatural luck as their opposition suffers in statistically abnormal amounts of weapons failures, along with abysmal accuracy.
Currently it seems that many of the captured special operatives who were sent out to capture the Geist have been converted to their side and are serving as mentors to the troops.
This is a rather unfortunate development due to the fact that one member of the Seal team is a high level EOD technician and has had training on the use and employment of tactical nuclear weapons... command has him listed for immediate termination by hellfire missile.

Day 51:
The first drone strike was conducted immediately foreign news outlets particularly Russian and Chinese affiliated sites responded negatively. Currently it is assumed they will attempt to use this rebellion to undermine the validity of US foreign intervention as well as paint the US government as corrupt and immoral.
The Russian have sent a contact to meet with the rebelling faction.

Day 52:

It would seem that the Russian contact is having trouble understanding what's going on. It is clear though that he was very happy with the fact he got to engage in intercourse with the Geist, and has put in orders for weapons and ammo shipments. ... Why the method of induction is sex based is completely beyond me, although it has been hypothesized that this may be similar to African tribal worship, where sex is involved as part of the worship system currently we have cultural anthropologist going over all material they release.

Day 55

The rebelling troops are calling on domestic citizens to rebel against the government and take up Geist worship.. Suffice to say the public is confused.

We are worried though that there are those who know of Geist and would be so inclined to support such a rebellion. We have spoken to NRA officials and told them to hand anyone suspicious over and inform us of their actions.

The paper work headache grows for me.

Day 60

Russian supplies have been reaching the defectors by cargo drops from airships.

Most of the weapons seem to be SKS rifles stored in barrels of cosmoline. The enlisted men prostrate themselves before the barrels whispering chants to the barrels. The cosmoline is then used in ritualistic practices mainly the application to the chest and face before being sprayed by one of the "priests" with gunpowder.

There have been sightings of women with animal ears and tails it is hypothesized that these are the Geist of Russian weapons.

Asides from the Russian delivery of weapons there has also been the deployment of specialized irregulars mainly consisting of veterans of the Crimean invasion and the Chechenia war.

Day 61. We have seen a dramatic increase in the number of Geist it is unknown if they were hiding in weapons that were thought to have not contained Geist or if they are newly obtained. Either way there seems to be 1 per enlisted soldier.

Currently the amount of insurrectionist hovers around 1000. Although their numbers seem to grow with every passing day, if it isn't defecting troops its, former local insurgents who are joining , and if it isn't them its a slow but steady stream of Slavs.

I would like to put in a request for an M270 strike I would prefer to have 10 launch units to saturate all target areas. We need to put an end to this.

Day 62:

We have managed to capture some of the enemy combatants( command has decided to make this a matter of war and not a matter of troops disobeying orders.)

Their moral is high despite our best attempts to interrogate them and they spew propaganda.
Their ideology is bizarre to say the least.

They seem to hope to create a mostly classless, society where humans and Geist work hand in hand to better their lives. Overall I would say it is a mixture of utilitarianism, humanism and Marxism. I can see how such an ideology would be appealing during these trying economic times and overall uncertainty.

Day 63
command was hesitant to give me the necessary m270 MLRS units. But I have finally got them.
This experiment is coming to an end soon enough.

Day 64: I have been observing the interactions of the rebelling troops and the Geist. Most of them seem happy. Sure their religious customs are strange and they defected. But I cant help but to feel a slight tinge bad for what is about to happen in the upcoming days..

Any ways we have interrogated pvt (data expunged) . He has proven to be a remarkable insight into the community they have formed.
He talked about their daily rituals most of which centered around maintenance of their firearms.

I do feel guilty about eventually exterminating this micro culture I had taken a part in creating but none the less the orders to fire will be given tomorrow.

Day 65.

I watched as the ten M 270 launchers lined up to fire their new unitary war heads with enhanced thermobaric payloads.

As the missiles launch I shut my eyes trying not to imagine the suffering on the other end they would cause.
