Pokemon Emerald FAQ

Q - What is this?
A - This is a speedrun of Pokemon Emerald version.  The goal is to beat all of the Gym Leaders and Elite Four as quickly as possible without using glitches.

Q - What is the World Record?
A - 2:30:45 by Exarion.

Q - What is your personal best time?
A - I have only finished one run at the moment, and it was a 3:26:47 that I will greatly improve.

Q - Why did you reset after getting Mudkip?
A - I need certain stats to make the game easier to complete quickly.  If I reset, then it means my stats were not desirable.

Q - What stats are you looking for?
A - I will reset any Mudkip I see that has a -Attack or -Sp.Atk nature, as well as any -Speed nature if my Speed is not 9 at level 5.  In addition, I will reset if my Attack, Sp.Atk, and Speed are not at least 13/10/9 at level 5.  Sometimes if my Sp.Atk and Speed are bad, I will reset the Mudkip if its level 6 stats are also bad.

Q - Why did/didn't you do [X strat]?
A - I have no idea what I'm doing.  These early runs are meant to be a learning experience.  Every time I do something wrong, I will learn from it so that I don't make the same mistakes in the future on good runs.
