Bio:
Baelkind are not the most loved of creatures, even among monsters. Spiders are predatory, solitary creatures, and Bael are no exception. Lurking in loose, matriarchal clans in the deep woods, the Bael tend to their own kind. Leadership is typically determined by who is strongest, which is normally the oldest Bael.
This means a large (for Bael) population lurk in the forests and remote corners of Thaus, the little contact with outsiders being trading silk goods for worked metals and other materials they couldn't produce themselves.

Larini is one of them. Raised by the fearsome Elder Bael Matriarch Araneidae, she spent her first seventeen summers learning the traditional Bael skills: hunting, weaving, and turning into a giant, murderous spider. Not particularly talented at any of them, she was sent to a different clan to marry one of their number as a token to foster closer relations.

She got... rather lost on the way. She did learn eventually that people got upset if you ate the animals called sheep wandering around. Or chickens. Or pigs. Or dogs. It seems she'd have to find some of this money stuff.
She hoped it was edible.
