The End of It All, And...

I've had a bit of a talk with Elsa. I feel a bit better now. Elsa is more confident in herself than I had thought... she strikes me as someone who truly is strong and capable, and every bit as determined as I am - though in what, I couldn't entirely glean. Like she said, however, we will all end up leaving a legacy in the coming years. Losing to Cobalion... can't even be considered an option if we hope to win the war after this one - a war far greater than the Great War itself. The Greatest War, even. A war for everything's preservation and survival, far and well into the future.

I will find a way. I must. If it comes to pass that it will take a doctor to heal this sick world, then so be it. If I have to personally plant forests with my own hands, so be it. If I can become an example to others, then others will follow. It's only a matter of time and effort.

Even if God himself hates and loathes us until creation withers away into the void that came before light, I will redouble my efforts to fix what has been broken. Small kindnesses may not save us, but large steps in education and communication will.

My name is Karsten Blum, and I believe these may be among the last of these notes. To any who find these in the future, do what you will with them, whether they are preserved as documents of history or burned as the ravings of a lunatic. Either way, putting my thoughts to paper has been enough.
