  7. What motivates you to want to become a member of the Erie County Fire & EMS? [Minimum Word Count 200]:
  8. The primary reason I want to be a part of the Erie County Fire & EMS is because I want to help people. A lot of EMTs I’ve run into in the past have given me little boosts here and there, and I wish to do the same for others. Sometimes giving that civilian on the side of the road a repair, helping a tow truck driver lockpick a car, or giving that civilian the $100k he needs to buy his first house can make all the difference in there day. I want to make people happy, or even give them that boost that they need to keep going that EMS has given to me before, and I must always say, that can truly make the difference in a bad day. Also at times in Erie County I’ve seen that there aren’t enough EMS on duty to fulfill many revives or duties they perform around Erie County, so I seek to help not only the Department but the people through the fact I’m typically available for duty in the wee hours of the day. All in all I’m motivated through seeking to help not only the department but the people through the little things that can make someone’s day turn from sour to sweet.

Next I am a very kind person with a short fuse, so I usually can get out of situation without flipping out on someone, and sometimes I’ll defuse the situation, ending with both parties being happy.
