Q: If Jamie and Steven got to fuse, what do you think his personality would be like? Do you have anyone in mind for a voice actor that could play him?

A: If Jamie and Steven fused I think he would be the most excitable person in the world. I think it would be all GO and no STOP (which could be a bit too much) Voice wise I think just Zack and I would switch off cause it would be too much excitement for one person!

Q: How are you? How is the recording of Steven Universe down there at the studio? What do you think of the Crystal Jamies Fan Art?

A: reverse order answering... you are welcome LOVE THE ART!!!! This will answer the Rebecca and recording question: Everyone working on the show is the best! They are so patient but playful in the studio so it ends up being so much fun. They for some reason, trust me a lot with the choices I make during the performance, so it real feels collaborative. Rebecca herself couldn't be more creative and genius in the room, she is so sweet and knows what she wants so it is a blast recording there.

Q: I think the entire Steven Universe fanbase is riding on the the coattail of this single question: would you participate in a Jamie-fied version of the entire series if you had the chance?

A: If Rebecca was planning on a Jamie spin off I would sign on in a heart beat!!!

Q: What is it like working with Joel Hodgson?

A: I love Joel!!!!!! the weird thing is we didn't even know that we were both voices on this show, because we never recorded together! We actually realized it as we shot Other Space together!

Q: Hi Eugene, Can you tell us how your audition for Steven Universe went? Were you nervous? Or were you like "No Big Deal"? Also, what do you feel about Jamie as a Character?

A: So the audition was actually not an audition at all. I got an email from Ilana Glazer (Broad City) telling me that one of her former improv team mates was writing on this new show Steven Universe and wanted to see if I would play a voice for one episode. I said "sure" and then I went in and recorded it. Shortly after they told me I would be coming back for one more. THEN, I went in again and Rebecca was like, "oh, actually, the fans of the show LOVE this character and so we are gonna put you in a bunch more if that is cool?" At this point I had seen the show, loved the show, and so I was nothing but excited to be party of it more. And the main reason I am even in it so much is because of all the fans, so thank YOU!!!!

Q: In "Historical Friction" Jamie, and by that also you, portrays all the Crystal Gems during the play. Were you trying to imitate the actual voice actors of the Gems, or were you just doing your own thing, choosing whatever voice suits their personalities best?

A: So Historical Friction is my favorite episode that I got to be a part of so far, that is mainly because they let me do so much. When I was in my first episode, I thought i was just playing myself as Jamie, and the more and more we found out he was an "actor" and so dramatic, I actually started playing it the way I thought a dramatic actor to be like when I was i High School. Thinking he would try to have a bit of an british or proper accent when he was "acting" and just be really emotional when he just talks about the "craft". That was really fun, and that is my favorite aspect of the character. When it came to doing impressions, I just did my best. To be honest, I was so nervous because I didn't wanna do it wrong. I figured I should try to be close to the Gem voices without trying to so a full impression. It was funny after each one, I would look over to Rebecca to see if she thought is was good or not. She seemed to like it. I didn't really have time to work on the impressions, so I am happy that I am just a fan of the show and have recorded with all of them in the past so it was easy to remember how they sound.

A: I Love Steven! just so excited and energetic. I always love characters who are willing to do anything!

A: 1: I don't get recognized voice wise in public, but to be fair I am also not as dramatic as Jamie is in my normal life...maybe someone could over hear me at a coffee shop complaining about how long my coffee is taking and recognize it. 2: Garnet...Like in love

Q: If you were requested to do another show made by Rebecca Sugar, would you do it?

A: SO FAST!

A: 1. I have input on how Jamie is performed but not in story line or drawing. When you see it, I see it!

Q: Haven't seen you at UCB for a while. Any plans for shows in the future?

A: I perform at UCB LA every monday in a group called the Smokes. I have been gone shooting a movie for 6 months but back and performing now...

A: I have meet and worked with most of the crew, Zack the most, but everyone has been great, and it is always a blast to record

A: 1. I am either just cheese guy or a supreme guy. Nothing in between. Oh also deep dish all the way.
   2. I am a Broad City, Kimmy Schmitt fan, I love big blockbuster popcorn movies.

Q: What is your favorite behind the scenes moment?

A: my favorite part of the process is that before each scene Rebecca explains what the scene is like and shows us stills of the ideas. And listening to her go through it gets me excited to jump into the scene.

Q: What do you think of Steven Universe the show? Did you ever imagine it would get this big and this deep when you started?

A: I love the show! Love the way it is animated and never thought that Jamie would get this popular that he would be on the show this much.

A: I am very similar to Jamie in the way he gets excited. I feel it like him on the inside so its nice to bring it out in this character!

A: 1. I love them both in different ways, There are things you can do and express with voice that you can't do as an actor. But that can also be said for acting as well. I hope to continue doing both...
   2. I4H is so fun, i actually loved the "apt" series, where we played the same characters for like 3 episodes.

Q: Have you worked with any of the other voice actors in person? If so, who do you like working with the most?

A: I got to work with most of the main cast. Everyone is great and I have the most fun when all of us are in the room recording

A: If I was a sandwich, it would be a patty melt but on sourdough instead of rye, and yes i would eat myself.

   3. And finally, what's something you know now that you wish you knew before you started voice acting?

A: I love Garnet, and I would say my favorite episode would be Alone Together On SU my favorite experience is watching the episodes, because the way they make it after we record is so awesome that I get excited whenever I have an episode coming on I don't wish I know anything more, I feel like everything i learned made sense when i learned it
