  10. On 15 November 2013 Jeremy Hammond was given the maximum sentence for infiltrating the online structures of large organizations such as Raytheon (security services) and Dow Chemical and at times redirecting funds to other organizations like the Red Cross and CARE. Perhaps what this Anon views as most heinous, though, is that after he was captured Jeremy Hammond was forced to use his technological skills for the benefit of the FBI – those VERY SAME skills for which he will spend the next ten years of his life incarcerated. In a Guardian article (link below) Hammond states: “It is kind of funny that here they are sentencing me for hacking Stratfor, but at the same time as I was doing that an FBI informant was suggesting to me foreign targets to hit”.
  11. The purpose of this Op is to FIGHT For Hammond. And fight we will. We all know that Anonymous is no one man’s personal army, so if this sits wrong with you than think of it this way: Jeremy Hammond is not the first Anon to report being used as an FBI puppet after capture; until we wake up the American public, it is certain he will not be the last. While we fight for Jeremy Hammond, we are also fighting for every Anon, incarcerated and free.

  13. WHO: YOU
  14.
  15. WHERE: Your statehouse lawn. Check local laws to be sure that you’re abiding by them! No one else needs to been in a jail cell on this day.
  16.
  17. WHAT: A clear and peaceful message to the people inside and outside the statehouse. Bring signs to let them know you’re there to fight for Jeremy Hammond, than you’re Anonymous, and that they really, REALLY should have expected this.
  18.
  19. WHEN: Friday 13 December 2013 (one month after the protest outside Jeremy’s cell) 12 noon local time (because people will be coming and going on lunch hours & allow for people to travel if coming from a distance)
  20.
  21. WHY: Because sometimes our activism needs to be out in the world. Jeremy Hammond is one of us; he should expect us to fight for him.
  22.
  23. If you CANT make it to your state house on 13 DEC 2013, WRITE, CALL, or TWEET your local representatives on that day to let them know that you're with us in spirit. If you don't know how to contact them, here's a link:
