7.

  8.
The first thing you want to do when establishing life support, is, of course, make sure you have a completed ship. (You can refer to the Ship Building Tutorial here.)

  9.
As you are establishing your life support, I would suggest freezing your ship over a water source, for you will have to make use of that water later on.

  10.
After that, you will want to start with your storage. I suggest using a storage cache, since they can store all the resources you'd need, while saving space and time.

  11.
Once you have your storages in place, you will then want to set up a resource node. I suggest the large node, because it never hurts to have that extra range.

  12.
I suggest, as you are adding the different life support components, that you link them to the resource node as you go.

  13.
Next, you will want to place down a water pump inside a water source, and an H2O splitter right next to it. This will supply you with the needed oxygen, and some hydrogen.

  14.
You will then want to add a power source. Solor panels on the top side of your ship are adequate, or using Stargate ZPMs and placing them directly on the resource node

  15. is very efficient

  16.
The last thing that is needed is an air exchanger to give you air, or a climate regulator. Both work perfectly fine, the only difference between the two is that

  17. an air exchanger only supplies you with oxygen, whereas a climate regulator will give you oxygen as well as gravity, though it uses more engergy and oxygen up

  18. because it basically creates a stable atmosphere inside your ship.(The climate regulator is more efficient for larger ships and stations.)

  19.
There you go now my friends. You now have stable life support on your ship, and can now boldy go out there and explorer the universe! :)
