Anon, The New Assistant: A Humanized CYOA - Day 1

Welp, I'm finally getting my lazy ass around to writefagging, so hopefully I'm not too awful. This story will follow your character Anonymous (how original) as he gets to know people in Ponyville, the town he just moved too after getting a job as an assistant at the local library. The characters in this story are human, so prepare for some lack of hooves. And now, let us begin!

>You slap your alarm clock and groan.
>6 AM is way too early to be getting up, but you don't want to be late for your first day of work, especially in a new town.
>What was your boss's name? Twilight... Twilight something.
>Oh well, you'll figure it out later.
>Training day today, but you don't expect to have to work too hard. It is just a small library after all, how hard can it be?
>You trudge over to the bathroom connected to your bedroom and glance into the mirror.
>God, you look awful. You could really use a shower.
>Your stomach grumbles and you recall that you never ate dinner last night, you were too busy moving everything in.
>Wat do?

A. Take a shower
B. Go cook breakfast
C. Fuck it, get some extra sleep before work.

>Man, fuck this.
>You turn right around and meander back into your room and collapse on the bed, making sure to set an alarm for 7:20, work starts at 8:00 so you should still have time.
>*bzzt bzzt bzzt*
Anon: "SHUT UP YOU PIECE OF SHIT"
>Well, at least you feel a little more refreshed.
>You have 40 minutes before you need to be at the library, and you still haven't showered or eaten.
>You check your phone for messages, but you have nothing.
>You walk out to the living room while you decide what to do now.

A. Breakfast
B. Shower
C. Bum around for 20 minutes and then leave for the library

>Better grab some breakfast so you aren't starving until lunch.
>You throw some waffles in the toaster because pleb Anon can't cook.
>You make a cup of coffee while you wait for the waffles to finish, and then you set them all out on the coffee table and sit down on your couch.
>Frozen waffles and coffee, breakfast of champions.
>You look around your apartment at the mess of boxes full of stuff you brought back home.
>Maybe later you will work on unpacking.
>*wub wub wub*
>Is your downstairs neighbor seriously playing music at 7:30?
>You shrug it off and clean up your dishes from breakfast.

A. Shower
B. Get dressed and leave for work
C. Leave for work in what you're wearing (boxers and white T)

>You grab a towel out of the box by your front door and walk over to the bathroom.
>You turn on the shower and get in.
>Gotta get fresh for that first day.
>You scrub yourself furiously for 5 minutes and then get out.
>Gotta look fresh and ready to impress.
>You dry yourself on and get dressed in some khakis and a navy polo, gonna make a good impression looking like this!
>You lock up as you step out into the hallway and head downstairs, listening to upbeat beats and rumbling bass coming from the downstairs neighbor all the way outside.
>You can already tell you'll get sick of that fairly quickly.
>The brisk morning air quickly wraps itself around you, keeping you nice and cool on this fine morning.
>As you walk along the sidewalk, it hits you that you are in a position to completely start over, you have a clean slate.
>It makes you nervous, but gives you a nice sense of freedom.
>Maybe you'll even ge- Oof!
>You snap out of your thoughts to look up and see a gentle looking girl holding a rabbit staring up at you with a frightened expression.
Anon: "Sorry, I didn't see you there. Are you alright?"
>You offer her a hand to stand back up.
>She just stares at you with the widest eyes, and mumbles something far too quiet for you to pick up.
>While she's standing back up, you ask her what she said.
>She just mumbles some more and shuffles away, still looking terrified.
>Well that was odd.
>You get back to walking and arrive at the library right on time.
Twilight: "Hi, you must be Anonymous!"
Anon: "You can just call me Anon, it's nice to meet you."
Twilight: "Okay Anon, well we are just getting started for the day, so I'll have Spike show you what to get started with."
>Wow, she's cuter than you expected.
>Her focused gaze and petite features go well together, and you can't help but notice how shapely her legs are.
>Easy Anon, she's your boss that you just met.
>You step inside of the cozy little library and see a teacher in a dirty purple T-shirt hauling around books from shelf to shelf.
Twilight: "That's Spike, just go introduce yourself to him and he'll let you know what to do from there."
>You walk over to Spike and introduce yourself.
Spike: "Hey Anon, hope you like reorganizing books, you'll be doing a lot of it."
>He explains to you that at the start of every day, you make sure everything is straightened up, and then otherwise Twilight will usually tell you what to do.
Spike: "Up the stairs in the back is Twilight's room, but you won't go up there often."
>Welp, this'll be easy money.
>What now?

A. Organize books
B. Get to know Spike/Twilight
C. Dick around

>You pick up a stack of 10 or so books and walk over to where Twilight is.
Twilight: "Hey Anon, did you need something?"
Anon: "Just coming over to break the ice. So I found out from Spike you live in the library?"
Twilight: "Yep, I've always loved education and you can't live in a school, so a library was the next best thing."
Anon: "Oh, that sounds cool."
>Jesus Christ, her favorite thing is education? Why?
Anon: "So what's your favorite book?"
>She looks over at you surprised, her eyes lighting up just the slightest bit.
Twilight: "...Sorry, I didn't mean to sit there awkwardly, most people just don't care about books and stuff. My favorite book is probably Pet Semetary by Stephen King, I've always loved how he can put a story together and really engage the reader."
>That book question seems to have really gotten her excited, even if you are bored yourself.
>You put down your books and see another pile over by Spike.

A. Leave conversation to get another stack/talk to Spike
B. Keep talking to Twilight

>You look over at Twilight and patiently wait for her to quit rambling about books.
Anon: "So what kinda stuff do you do outside of work? I'm new in town so I just wanna get an idea of what to do for fun."
Twilight: "Well have you introduced yourself to Pinkie yet? She's always hosting parties and loves when new people move in."
>You'll have to remember that, sounds like a lot of fun.
Twilight: "Well I have to get going, Rarity said she needed my help with something. Once you guys finish the book work you can be done for today!"
>Rarity
>What's up with the fucking names in this town?
>You walk over to Spike and make small talk while you continue to clean everything.
>You put down the pile you are holding just in time to see a young girl with a scooter roll up and open the door.
Spike: "Hey Scoots, what do you need?"
???: "I was looking for a book on cooking, Apple Bloom told me to grab one!"
>Spike tells her to wait one sec while he runs to grab her a book.
>You glance over at the young girl, she's leaning against the wall and is playing with her short, purple hair.

A. Introduce yourself
B. Get back to work
C. Dick around

>You walk over to the girl, as you get closer you see her look up at you, studying you.
Anon: "Hey, my name's Anon. What's yours?"
???: "I'm Scootaloo. Are you new here? I've never seen you around before."
Anon: "Yea, I just moved in the other day."
Scootaloo: "Cool! Are you gonna throw a party to celebrate moving in?"
Anon: "No idea, maybe. I still have to finish unpacking and everything."
Scootaloo: "Cool, here, let me see your phone... there, now you have my number, text me if you're gonna party, I know a few people I could bring.
>Scootaloo number acquired!
>She seems a little young to be partying, but whatever.
>Spike comes running back around the corner, book in hand.
Spike: "Hey, sorry that took so long! Here you go!"
>He hands over the book to Scootaloo.
>She looks at it for a second, and then turns to leave.
Scootaloo: "Thanks Spike, see you around! Bye, Anon!"

A. Go home
B. Try to find Twilight and Rarity
C. Try to find Ponka
D. Wander around

>Out in the sun of the midday, you get a good look at all the people walking around town.
>Everybody seems to know everybody, and it makes you feel a bit excluded, but that's to be expected.
>You'll probably be joining them all soon enough anyways.
>You spend a few minutes asking around about where you would find Rarity.
>A few friendly people give you directions to her boutique, and you start making your way over.
>You look over to your left and spot Scootaloo, with two other young girls, buying fruits.
>You keep on your way and eventually make it to Rarity's Boutique, only to find that nobody's there. Damn.
>Having no idea where they could be, you walk back over to all the stalls to get some food to eat for lunch.
>You look for a good place to sit and snack on the sandwich you got.
???: HEY!
>You look around startled, and spot an excited looking girl charging towards you.
>Oh, this must be Pinkie, who Twilight was telling you about earlier.
Pinkie: "I've never met you before! My name's Pinkie Pie and I just love to make friends, I'm sure we'll be the bestest of friends because you just give off a nice friendly vibe I can usually tell with these sortsa things etc. etc."
>You wait for her extensive introduction to wrap up and introduce yourself.
Pinkie: "Okay Anon well I'm super duper busy right now so I'll talk to you later, nice to meet you!"
>You watch her walk away after she gives you a huge smile and a hug goodbye.
>Well she was... interesting.
>There's nothing more to do today, so you head home and unpack for the rest of the afternoon before heading off to bed.
