THE FIRE MAN

A drunk, athiest man in Newyork City was walking, after having a big fight with his wife. He was thinking about leaving her, and about other stuff too. He walked right by the site of the World Trade Center 9/11. There he saw a fire man, wearing a fire man costume, down on his knees praying.

“Hey fire man,” said the fire man.

“What?” said the confused, man. “I'm not a fireman, I'm a regular man.”

“I wasn't talking to you,” the fire man said in a loud, fire man voice, “I was talking to myself.”

The man thought a lot about all the things he seen that night. What was thay fire man doing. . He started wondering if maybe the fire man there was Jesus, praying to God. He thought “Maybe he should return to the where he saw the fire man but he was too busy with his job and making money to go and see if the fire man if he was Jesus.

Late that night, he heard a loud, hot sound coming into his apartment. It was a fire. He got up from bed and screamed to his wife “Wake up!” but she was too heavy for him to wake up. He jumped out of his apartment window naked, onto a fire truck below. Just as he landed on the firetruck, it started to drive away.

“Hey!” the naked, flaming man cried, “I'm on the fire truck!” “I know,” yelled Jesus, who was driving the fire truck, dressed in a fire man hat and waving a fire man's axe. The fire truck was moving so fast that the man would surely die if he let go.

“What are you doing?” screamed the man as he held on for his life. Jesus replied, “I'm driving your wife to heaven. But on the way there I have to run another errand. That's right. You guessed it. I'm going to drop you off...at, you guessed it, the world trade center. There's a staircase there that, you guessed it, leads to a tunnel. The tunnel leads into a cave. That's right, at the bottom of the cave is another set of stairs. And so on. And to you know where all of this leads?”

But the man never answered Jesus, because he had crawled into the fire truck to grab his wife and use her dead, burned body to cushion his fall as he jumped out of the fire truck.
