5Desert_Storm sighs in relief. She takes a quick look around before trotting over and picking it up.

5Desert_Storm reads it a dozen times quickly.
14TenMihara|GM> 3 The note says 'Wait Here', followed by a list of dates and times. Two have passed by already, but the third was today's date
5Desert_Storm blinks and folds the note, tucking it away. Her hooves slowly to her rifle, while the rest of her body tensed. "Hello?" She calls.

5Desert_Storm looks up, not expecting to see anything, but silently hoping to be surprised.
14TenMihara|GM> 3 You see a cloud descending slowly towards you. Through the bottom of the cloud peeks a pair of very familiar looking eyes
5Desert_Storm drops her rifle. It clatters to the ground as she floats up to meet. "Who's there?"
14TenMihara|GM> 3 The rest of the pony's head pokes through the bottom of the cloud. "Wow! You're really here! I knew it wasn't true!" Said pony looks to be a grey coated colt of no more than 14, with a gold and red streaked mane.
5Desert_Storm blinkity blink blinks. She takes off her glasses and tilts her head. "Geronimo?" She asks. With speed faster than she'd ever floan before, Desert flies straight into him, giving the little bugger a tackle hug. "I found you..." She manages, choking on some tears.
14TenMihara|GM> 3 Geronimo hugs back tightly; "Big Sis! I knew no measly storm could bring you down. You make tornados for fun."
5Desert_Storm smiles and wipes a tear from her cheek. "I did... didn't I? I... I just don't even to know what to say, Gerry, I really don't."
14TenMihara|GM> 3 Geronimo smiles broadly; "I'm just glad my suspicion was right. They declared you MIA after your group got split up by that storm, and then KIA a couple days later. Didn't you try to call them?"
5Desert_Storm shakes her head and points to her glasses. Maybe someday she'd tell somepony that they weren't hers. "Remember Private Zero? He and I wound up on the surface without a radio or any rations. We made our way into Manehattan, but he... died a few days later. Since then, I'd lost hope. They didn't send anypony to look for me, did they?"
14TenMihara|GM> 3 Geronimo shakes his head; "After you got separated, your CO moved to have any further surface exploration delayed indefinitely because of the surface dangers. But I knew you were tough enough, even with all the cannibals and monsters and crazy ponies."
5Desert_Storm nods slowly, sniffing a little. "She did? That's... that's understandable."
14Desert_Storm> "Guess that shows how much the old bastard cares..."
14TenMihara|GM> 3 Geronimo nods, then looks to Storm's back; "I see you got some new rifles. Guess your old one couldn't last forever with the wear and tear down here. Did you kill some crazies to get them or did you just find them?"
5Desert_Storm smiles slightly. Well, we found this one in an old police station." She pulls Geronimo down to the rooftop where she left Gasoline Dreams. "But this one? You should have seen the pony we took this from. He was a hell of a shot." She stops. Why are you doing this? Why are you not hugging the crap out of the only pony who's ever been happy to see you? She wraps the colt in a tight hug.
14TenMihara|GM> 3 Geronimo hugs back again; "I'm so glad you're alive. And now that I know you're alive, I can try to get you back in. I'm not supposed to be down here looking for you, so I might get in trouble, but it'll be worth it to have proof that you're alive." He looks her over; "Do you have something I can take back? One of your tags maybe?"
5Desert_Storm reaches a hoof to her neck and blinks. She starts franticaly looks around her vest for her tags, but they were gone. "No..."
14TenMihara|GM> 3 Geronimo looks briefly hurt, but shakes his head; "That's okay, we'll think of something. But first, tell me what you've been doing these past months. Fighting crazies and zombies and whatever. Must be cool."

5Desert_Storm smiles softly. "I'm sorry... But, I've fought some crazy ponies. There were bloodwings, and a pony who talked to roaches, and ponies with both horns and wings, and even a dragon. I've been travelling with... with some other ponies. They basically saved me, and I knew that if I travelled with them, that maybe I'd find some way of contacting you."
14TenMihara|GM> 3 Geronimo blinks; "There are ponies down here... that aren't crazy? I thought the radiation warped all their brains."
5Desert_Storm shakes her head and smiles. "No, not... not at all. There are real, breathing, sane ponies down here. It's... it's really got me thinking. It really has."
14TenMihara|GM> 3 Geronimo blinks; "Huh, that's wierd... but I guess if everypony down here was crazy, then you'd have gone crazy too. Still, sounds like you're having a time of it. I plan to talk to the council about it now that i know for sure you're alive. Hopefully they'll be willing to listen; they seem to like me; I even got into the Science Division a whole two years younger than anypony else."
