Pre-Retcon Octavia POV Beginning

This is the original beginning to the Octavia POV story. It was retconed because I wanted to improve the Fluttershy scene it includes, and remove unnecessary complexity from the story. In the words of some Anon:

Escapade started writing his story right after MrN' Anon sleep raped Fluttershy. He wrote about that in the first 80 lines and every thing that happened during the next few thousand lines was just one really long flashback.

When Octavia's timeline got to the point where Fluttershy was raped, Escapade realized that the beginning of his story kind of sucked (no offense intended). He decided to erase the first 80 or so lines, so the whole story would not be a flash back anymore.

It also allowed him to write about the Flutterrape scene in much greater detail and with much greater emotional impact.

>You are Octavia.
>Octavia Melody.
>You wake up in the room of one of his pets.
>Fluttershy is her name.
>Master generously granted you temporary use of his pets' rooms during the evening.
>They are simple rooms, but significantly nicer than the prison cell that Empress Nightmare Moon gave you.
>And for that, you are grateful.
>You climb out of bed, and proceed to the washroom.
>The bathing facilities are modest, but serve their purpose.
>After a brief bath, you dress yourself, and journey to the dining hall to eat with the Castle’s staff.
>Your food is of a significantly lower quality than everypony else’s food.
>The Empress said that you are a prisoner, and deserve a prisoner’s rations.
>Afterwards you obtain the meals for Master’s pets, and set about your daily duties.
>Their meals are of slightly better quality than your own.
>It is a reminder of your place in the palace.
>You are tempted to eat some, no pony would notice.
>But if you were caught, your family would surely be put to death.
>So you avoid the temptation.
>Before feeding his pets, you must first attend to the Beast’s room.
>It is a simple task, all you need to do is remake his bed, replace the sheets, and perform general cleaning.
>But today is different, it is the first night he has shared with a pony, Fluttershy.
>The poor thing doesn’t deserve to be here. None of you do.
>Such are the affairs of the Crown, we are but pawns on the playing field.
>You knock on on the door.
>There is no answer.
>You grab your key and unlock it.
>Gingerly, you open the door, leaving your food cart outside.
>You are greeted by Fluttershy lying on the bed.
>She turns to look at you.
>Her eyes grow, and she curls up into a ball.
>She is a strange pony, scared of everything.

>You approach her.
“I’m afraid must ask you to get off of Master’s bed Fluttershy, I must replace the sheets.”
“Oh- ok.”
>She stands up, but only far enough to grant movement.
>Slowly, she steps off of the bed in front of you.
>You notice a discoloration of her tail.
>Blood.
>He- he raped her?
>You attempt to control yourself mentally.
>Keep Calm Octavia, you mustn’t upset interfere, it isn’t your place.
“Your bleeding Fluttershy, are you well?
“Oh-oh yes, I’m ok. Master’s just wanted to show that he loves me.
>Sick. How far gone are these ponies not to notice what is happening to them?
“Are you sure you don’t need medical care? You could be injured.
“Oh no. I’m fine. My legs are sore, but Master had to punish me for my failures last night.”
“Very well than, I must return you to your room. Please follow me.”
>You normally would ask for the guard’s assistance, but you know Fluttershy enough to see she would never attempt escape.
>After a brief trot you arrive at her room.
“I must ask that you bath Fluttershy. Master wouldn’t like his pets to be dirty.”
“You- you think so? I wouldn’t want to upset him again, he might- might…”
“No need to worry Fluttershy, I’m sure if you please him he wouldn’t hurt you.”
>You know that is a lie. She was just raped! What could she have done to deserve that?”
>With that, you usher her inside, and then lock the door.
>You walk to your cart, and grab fresh linens.

>You complete the cleaning and feeding of Master’s pets with haste.
>You must practice your cello.
>Today gave you even more reason to do so.
>You aren’t sure what Fluttershy did to upset Master, but it couldn’t have been much.
>And now look at her… she was… you could…
>No, you mustn’t think like that, keep strong Octavia, for mother and father.
>You arrive at the music room, and greet your cello.
>You caress its neck slowly.
>It reminds you of home, before this all happened.
>Home.
>No, you must practice.
>You pick up your bow, and after a pause, slowly begin to play.
>You play nothing in particular, instead allowing your emotions to carry you.
>Soon, your mind begins to wander.
>Why did you your parents have to get involved?
>They weren’t spies, they were fine arts ponies for Celestia’s sake!
>You remember the night they were taken.
>Mother and father are downstairs.
>They said they were having a wine and cheese party.
>You went upstairs early, you had a recital the next morning.
>After taking a nice, luxurious bath and packing your Cello, you got into bed.
>It was so comfortable, so inviting, so… welcoming.
>Then, there was a crash.
>You heard screams.
>You ran out of your room, and looked over the staircase railing.
>There were military ponies in your home, over a dozen.
>They were everywhere.
