  1. Recently I started having problems with my network's dns. Usually DNS servers would stop responding and I'd have to reboot my Optus Modem to get it working again.
  2.
  3. But for some reason today, no matter how many times I reboot the modem I can't seem to get the DNS to work on my laptop, the internet works fine on my brothers laptop and on my phone but I can't access anything on my laptop.
  4.
  5. It shows that i'm connected to my local home network and doesn't display any errors, windows troubleshooter will alternate between telling me my dns servers are not Responding and nothing is wrong.
  6.
  7. I've tried deleting the network and re-creating it, tried uninstalling and re-installing my wireless adapter all to no avail.
  8.
  9. Sometimes I'm able to ping my global gateway if you will and other times it doesn't work. I can always ping my local default gateway fine.
  10.
  11. The only thing that allows the internet to work on my laptop is when i reboot my wireless router, but even then it only lasts for a short period of time and then stops.
  12.
  13. Any ideas or suggestions on how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.
