  1. The Sisters of the Sacred Sword hail from a feudal world known as Calabria, a rolling garden world that has only recently had its leaders enlightened by the Light of the Emperor. They were initially formed out of a pre-existing knightly order who, before the regular passage of the Black Ships, had been entrusted by the kings and queens of their homeworld to seek out and destroy ‘witches’ and ‘dark wizards’, giving them plenty of experience fighting psykers. When the world was brought into the Light of the Emperor by a Palantinate of the Order of the Argent Shroud, they quickly recognized the potential in the Sisterhood of the Sacred Sword, and after a brief period of re-education the Order was re-dedicated to the Master of Mankind. In the two centuries since they began their crusade, however, no-one has managed to explain to them that the Sisters are supposed to recruit solely from the Schola Progenium, and instead the crusading Sisters-Errant take promising young women from every world they fight on, inducting them into the now fleet-based Order. Their path of holy destruction has taken them from their home sector and across the Calixis sector, all the way to the Spinward Front. Imperial Command was not expecting several thousand angry crusaders in power armor to show up along with their attendant pilgrimage and crusade fleet, but it certainly won’t (can’t) turn them away.
  2. Regiment Rules:
  3. Feudal Homeworld (3 Points): +3 to WS, S, or T, choose two.
  4. Skills: All Sisters begin with Athletics and Common Lore (War)
  5. Fluency (Sisters start with no ability to read and write. Only anger)
  6. Fealty: All Sisters gain Duelist or Double Team
  7. Suspicious of Technology: Sisters are still a little unused to all the power armor. -10 to techy skills unless you have Trained
  8. +1 Wounds
  9. Commander Personality: Maverick (Canoness Theodora is considered somewhat unorthodox) (2 points, gain Resistance (Fear))
  10. Regiment Type: Sisters of Battle (4 Points): +3 to WP and BS, -3 Int
  11. Starting Skills: Perform (Singer), Common Lore (Ecclesiarchy)
  12. Starting Talents: Unshakeable Faith
  13. Regimental Trainings: Hardened Fighters, Iron Discipline
  14. Regimental Drawback: Cult of Chivalry (Crusading space knights)
  15. Variant Wargear:
  16. Sacred Sword: Shearing, Symbols of Duty, Crude
  17. These beautifully made swords are still forged by traditional methods before being handed over to the Order’s techpriests for mono-treatment, and while they perform excellently in a skilled warrior’s hands, the ceremonial adornments and sacred inscriptions make the mono-edge process a little harder and render the blade a little dull unless it scores an exceptional hit.
  18. Reckoner Boltgun: Piercing, Rapid Clip Ejection, Delicate
  19. The Reckoner Boltgun is the result of modifications designed to make it significantly better at killing Orks. At the close ranges the Sisters of the Sacred Sword prefer, the weapon will simply blow through the unnatural constitution of the average Boy and the weapon is extremely quick to reload. However, the rapid clip ejection systems and the high firing chamber pressure can break the gun if something goes terribly wrong.
  20. Favored Heavy Weapon: Multimelta
  21. Favored Basic Weapon: Flamer
  22. Standard Regimental Kit: One Reckoner Boltgun and 4 magazines (Main Weapon), one suit of Sororita Power Armor (AV7, 8 Chest, +5 BS while helmet is worn, Photovisor, power source), one Sacred Sword (Mono Sword w/Razor Sharp, Prim 9), 3 Frag Grenades, 3 Flame Grenades, standard bullshit that has no game effect like sleeping bags and prayer books.
  23. Sister Types: Characters pick what sort of Sister they are based on their character class. This affects their Act of Faith and available equipment.
  24. Weapon Specialist: Seraphim, Battle Sister, Dominion
  25. Operator: Dominion
  26. Sergeant: Sister Superior
  27. Heavy Gunner: Retributor, Battle Sister
  28. Medic: Hospitallar, Battle Sister
  29. Priest: Battle Sister, Sister Superior
  30. Stormtrooper: Celestan
  31. Commissar: Unavailable
  32. Psyker: Unavailable
  33. Ogryn: Unavailable
  34. Ratling: Unavailable
  35. Techpriest: Unavailable
  36. Advanced specialties are off-limits, except for Brawler; conversion to Brawler can be done by any PC (including Stormtrooper/Priest PCs) but converts the character into a Sister Repentia and requires the Penitent’s Oath, replacing the character’s equipment with AV5 Blessed Novitiate Carapace and either a Best Eviscerator or two Best Chainswords.
  37. Specialties get the following additional gear:
  38. Hospitallar: Hospitallar Medicae Gear (+20 to Medicae, +10 to Interrogation tests, patient always counts as Lightly Wounded)
  39. Battle Sister: Heavy Bolter or Heavy Flamer (If Heavy Gunner), Chainsword and Bolt Pistol (if Priest), Medkit (If Medic), Good Quality Bolter W/Red Dot OR Flamer (If Weapon Spec), 4 Krak Grenades (All)
  40. Dominion: Sniper Rifle OR Meltagun OR Flamer, 2 Demolition Packs, Dominion Armor (AV 6, loses Stealth penalty, confers other benefits of LPA)
  41. Celestan: Bolt Pistol and Power Sword
  42. Seraphim: Jump Pack, replace Reckoner Boltgun with 2 Good Quality Boltpistols, 2 Good Quality Hand Flamers
  43. Retributor: Multimelta OR Heavy Bolter OR Heavy Flamer
  44. Sister Superior: Voxcaster, GC Chainsword, GC Boltpistol
  45. Repentia: Replace all gear with 2xBest Chainswords or 1xBest Eviscerator and Blessed Carapace (AV5)
  46. Comrades: No-one has Comrades. Any Comrade abilities or Orders are fluffed as you just being that badass. This includes obeying the Sister Superior’s orders for Sweeping Orders. In cases where this would obviously be silly (like Gunner) it’s Machine Spirits or something, I don’t care.
  47. Acts of Faith: Each PC may use one Act of Faith per battle.
  48. Hospitallar: Faith Healing: One ally is healed for d10+FB, undoing all critical hit effects that did not directly result in the destruction of a limb or instant death and ending all poisons, drugs, or negative status effects.
  49. Battle Sister: Faith Is My Shield: For one round, gain a 66 strength Field Save that cannot overload.
  50. Sister Superior: Follow The Light of Terra: All allies immediately cancel any Fear effects they’re suffering and recover from Pinning.
  51. Dominion: Clarity: Negate all to-hit penalties for visual obstruction, all hits you inflict ignore cover. Lasts 1 round.
  52. Repentia: Undying Devotion: Gain Unnatural Toughness (4) for one round.
  53. Celestan: Sacred Hate: All allies gain Hatred (Enemies) for 1 round.
  54. Seraphim: Angel’s Wings: All attacks gain Tearing for one round. If they already had Tearing, add an extra unkept d10
