  1. H'OKAY now that I am not on my phone and desperately trying to reach the theatre on time-- ....what the hell? That was supposed to read 'powerhouse bodyguard,' not.... whatever the hell my phone did there.
  2.
  3. What I meant to say earlier, but decided not to bother trying to because it was cold and I was in a rush:
  4. We actually know quite a bit about Great Furies at this point. Kalus was just a mountain that could be bound and released, which is just boom. We know Aria is the one who keeps the Placidan Great Furies bound, and actually generally it's the High Lord who does that for each city. (Aria is awesome and special.) Thing is, the binding isn't about casual chats. It's about preventing them from freaking destroying everything. (Again: see Kalus.)
  5.
  6. And it's not hard to deduce that Garados and Thana Lilvia--the psychotic mountain and violent storm system of Calderon Valley--are in fact Great Furies. They are not bound. And they are freaking dangerous and, again, kind of psychotic. You'll learn more about them later.
  7.
  8. Point is, Great Furies aren't entirely self-aware entities as such? Certainly not things that communicate. And not things that can be unleashed without causing mass destruction and that is an absolute last resort and who the fuck is crazy enough to actually do that unless you're dead anyway. (...or murderizing a city.)
  9.
  10. I--and by extension Tavi, who wrote a dissertation on furycrafting at sixteen or seventeen (goddamn genius)--have some theories about how this works. Hell, the Rillwater is a river in Calderon, but Isana's fury is called Rill and that seems to be the river she's most deeply connected with, which has interesting implications. And remember the ocean is all one fury, according to Isana. And that? That is not something you have casual chats with or ask for favors. None of them are. They're elementals incarnate. Actually, they're Legendary Pokemon. No I'm not kidding. (Garados is even the name of a Pokemon, though not a Legendary.)
  11.
  12. You should let Sextus explain what happened on the roof in his own time and way. Even if it isn't how you expect, I promise he will.
