  1. Teagan is pretty clear that he wants it and doesn't care what they say or think about it, and he also is clear that he doesn't mind coercion or violence.
  2.
  3. Even in this video, if you just say "sure", he still says "Introduce them to....the power of persuasion" and stuff like that. It's a bit disingenuous to say that you think he's totally neutral and just gave you a professional assignment. His attitude and beliefs are made clear through his choice of language.

  6.
  7. He even adds "by any means necessary" when giving the mission to you for the first time, which was completely unnecessary to say.

  10.
  11. Then, to top this all off, the quest options split into "pay for crops" or "eliminate the settlers" if you don't pass a speech check. Literally "eliminate the settlers".
  12.
  13. If you don't want to kill them and don't want to pay them, then your option is to pass a speech check. Unfortunately, the speech check is literally a veiled threat, where you actually say "better to stay on their good side". Even the nonviolent approach, the speech check, is coercion through veiled threats.
  14.
  15. The whole Teagan thing is definitely one of the bad things about the bos, and he's definitely an asshole. People should stop saying "he just sends you to get supplies" because that's leaving out so much.
  16.
  17. It's worth noting that Teagan goes against Danse's wishes on this, and that Danse is gud guy, so the brotherhood has good eggs in it, but Teagan is definitely mean and he's a point against the brotherhood in discussions of whether the brotherhood is good or not.
