- SOLUTIONS TO "PRISONER OF WAR":
- 1. Activate the pow and enter the pipe on the left.
- 2. Activate the P switch and go back in the pipe. Pick up the POW from the first step.
- 3. Put the POW on top of the muncher so that it's sticking out slightly. Jump from it to the POW on the top left, and activate one of them, allowing you to bring the other into the subworld.
- 4. Activate the P and stand on the POW to enter the P switch door. Take the red koopa back to the overworld.
- 5. Retrieve both POWs without activating either of them. Stack them on top of each other under the blue platform on the right side of the screen, then stack the red koopa on top of them. When it wakes up, jump on it and activate the blue platform. Then use the red koopa shell to get the key.
- 6. Go through the key door and get the checkpoint as well as a replacement key.
- 7. Bring a POW into the subworld and activate the P switch, then activate the POW to kill the coin blocking the pipe. Once the P switch deactivates, winged POWs will come out.
- 8. Bring a POW into the subworld (you can actually just take a winged POW from the pipe and reset due to weird item spawning mechanics), and place it on top of the winged pow as it's flying. Then ride the vines to the far left and enter the key door now that you have a POW to stand on.
- 9. Get the second checkpoint and the spring. Bring the spring into the overworld, and stack two pows on top of it on the far right, allowing you to freely access the green koopa shell.
- 10. Bring the spring back to the overworld. Activate the blue platform and put the spring and two POW's on it. Bring the spring and one POW to the top right area under the POW that's stuck. Put the first POW on top of the spring to dislodge the POW.
- 11. Move the spring left under the top-middle POW, and stack three POW's on top of it (there are other ways you can stack the items here, like putting two POWs under the spring and a POW on top). This will visibly dislodge the POW a little so that it can be grabbed from the side. Do that, and move all but one POW to the bottom part of the screen. Do not activate any yet.
- 12. You now have 4 POWs you can use, and another that's stuck on the left. Place a POW in the hole from where you originally got the key, and get the green koopa. If you shoot the green koopa down the hole, it'll have a platform to ride on so that it hits the POW. WARNING: as you shoot the koopa, IMMEDIATELY run down to the bottom of the screen, because the munchers will of course not die to the POW unless they're on screen.
- 13. Use the remaining POW blocks (slowly, one at a time) and scream "yatta" at the top of your lungs.
