Hi, it's Tom at Nintendo.

Welcome to the Nintendo @E3 2013 Community! We made this community as a place in Miiverse where you could voice

and share your opinions about everything and anything that we will be announcing during this year's E3.

What are you excited about? What games are you eager to hear about and play?

If you'd like to share your thoughts on Miiverse about this year's Nintendo E3 activities, make sure you post them

in the E3 community. We want to make sure we hear about them.

And here in the Backstage, I'll be making random, behind-the-scenes posts from now throughout E3. Some may be

what's been announced in the Nintendo Direct, some may be not. I won't be posting any breaking news, but I hope

you'll keep checking it out.

Lastly, this community will be open only for a limited time. So if you have something you want to post, I suggest

you do so soon.

It's the last workday before E3 and I'm trying to get everything ready to go before I'm off to LA tomorrow for the

big week ahead.

Housekeeping notes: While we read every one of your comments here and the posts in the main E3 Community, I won't

be able to reply to you directly. (if I reply to one person it won't be fair to everybody else)

I can attach pics to my posts so I'll try to take pics from our booth when I can.

Hi it's Tom.

It's now Sunday evening and since yesterday we've been a bit busy getting ready for the show.

Yes we are having a show - One is the Nintendo Direct@E3 2013 that will go live on e3.nintendo.com on Tuesday June

11 at 7am PST, and the other is the Wii U Software Showcase. This will be a closed event to gaming and select

media attending E3, but we hope to have a video summary go up shortly after it's over. We'll try to get you as

much info from E3 as we can so you won't miss a thing.

Thanks for all the comments! It's so encouraging that you're looking forward to what we'll be showing at E3.

Here's a recap video of the Wii U Software Showcase. This was held inside the Nintendo booth, where it was open to

select media attendees before the start of E3.

We made this video so you can see what it was about - the event included a new Smash Bros. character reveal and a

exclusive look of two 40 year old men with cat ears. Enjoy!

Today we unveiled a series of videos called Wii U / Nintendo 3DS Developer Direct, where the game developers

deliver details about the games "directly" to you. They're sort of like Mr. Iwata's Nintendo Direct, and I hope

you like them.

Here's the first video, with Koichi Hayashida for New Super Mario Bros. 3D World.

What do you like more, Cat Suits, or that you'll be able to play again as Princess Peach? The Cat Suits can climb

up goal posts and Princess Peach can float.

Here we have Mario Kart series producer Hideki Konno to talk inside the tracks of Mario Kart 8.

Ever heard of the Mobius Strip? It's a course in this game. Wondering about Miiverse support? Mr. Konno's got a

We had Nintendo's very own Shigeru Miyamoto talk to us in-depth about Pikmin 3.

Mr. Miyamoto described how the game is a perfect match for Wii U, and how it's truly a game for everyone. He also

told us about a heartwarming experience he had when someone taught him something about the series.

So do you prefer your Pikmin with wings or on the rocks?

Our final challenger is Masahiro Sakurai, the creator of the Super Smash Bros. series.

He gives us a hands-on demo where he goes over the differences between the two versions and shows us some moves.

Besides the four player multiplayer battles, Mr. Sakurai demoed the game for us all by himself. To explain - As we

were filming, he controlled each character with one hand, and explained to us about the moves like how the

Villager can pick up and throw back an opponent's item ALL AT THE SAME TIME. I was really lucky to witness this

firsthand. Enjoy.

The most notable feature this year in the Nintendo booth were these sculpture feature areas. Here are the Pikmins,

with the new character Alph.

I've been keeping up with the E3 news from here in Europe.

It seems that a lot of people like Cat Mario! I think he's adorable too. And I love the fact that he can climb up

the Goal Pole.

Hi it's Tom, back in the office.

I'm still recovering from E3, but now that it's over we're focusing on upcoming projects like future Miiverse

updates and getting ready for activities in the real world taking place this summer and beyond. I'll share with

the community once we've determined a closing date for the E3 community.

Glad to see you liked yesterday's Pikmin video! Here's one more (and last) video that I'll be posting here from E3

with Mr. Miyamoto playing Mission Mode in Pikmin 3. From August 4th I'll be all about the Pikmins.

I mentioned that the E3 community will be open for a limited time. Well, we're keeping it open for just a little

bit longer, now that we saw all your great posts and comments. So keep going with your post-E3 discussions and

impressions!

We still read every posts and comments (every one as of this post), and we're thankful for all your support and

passion for Nintendo and our games. I heard that some of the developers went to one of the Best Buy stores while

they were in LA during E3, and they were heartfelt when they saw kids and grownups playing and having fun with

their games. I think that motivated them to keep working harder to make the games even better.

I'll be announcing when we'll be closing this community at a later date. Thanks and have a great weekend!

Hi it's Tom at Nintendo.

The Nintendo@E3 Community will officially close on July 8, 2013.

In my last post I mentioned that we'll keep this community open for a little longer and will be making an

announcement on when it will close - Well it stings a bit to write this but here's that announcement.

After July 8 the Community will close its doors and will no longer show up on the list of communities. However,

everyone's posts will still be saved. So from now until close, if there are some posts that you know you'll want

to see again, try following the posters or sharing those posts to another SNS using the web version.

E3 2013 may be over but the games that were announced will all be coming soon. To go over everything, here's a

I wanted to personally thank you for all the posts and comments you left in the Nintendo@E3 2013 community right

here on Miiverse. From our Nintendo Direct to our E3 booth, and the Nintendo Experience at participating Best Buy

stores, we heard your voices - and we're grateful for your excitement about our games.

This community will be closing soon, but we're not taking a break yet. We'll continue the momentum we gained from

E3 with the release of our key games beginning this summer and beyond so you could keep playing.

The first of which, Pikmin 3 will be coming out in about a month, on August 4th for Wii U. As Mr. Miyamoto put it,

this is the game that you could say the Wii U hardware was made for. I hope you'll check it out, and continue
