[13:03] <TenMihara|GM> The party had just finished a rather nice meal at the dining hall of the Society's Elysium Resort. Gold Standard had offered to continue the tour and perhaps take them down to the pool after they had time to digest
[13:04] * Rime smiles up at Gold. She's got an interview somewhere along the tour.
[13:05] * Proverb has been sticking close to Harmony, looking around.
[13:05] <TenMihara|GM> Gold smiles back at Rime, having only seen the Filly's polite side to this point.
[13:06] * Rime is a model of poise and refinement.
[13:07] * Harmony continues to follow for the time being, waiting and hoping that the meeting will go well.
[13:08] * Logic wonders from time to time where the hell Rime went and who the filly next to him was.
[13:09] * Missile_Rush trots along quietly.
[13:10] * Razor feels tense. This place is just as boring as the collegiate...
[13:12] * Green_Field follows along, still listening, but only really caring about the rather nice time he's gotten to spend with Daisy. He trots with a smile on his face and tail entwined with hers.
[13:15] <TenMihara|GM> Gold Standard leads the party through the Elysium resort. She gives them a glimpse of the patches of earth out back where they had managed to cultivate the few fresh crops they could manage, the residential area which was mainly comprised of old resort rooms. The servant's quarters were, surprisingly, the same kinds of rooms that the regular Society members had, although the presents of extra cots and bedrolls suggested th

[13:24] * Rime|Phone makes sure to askGold questions  and show lots of interest!
[13:24] <TenMihara|GM> After the tour reached the servant's quarters, Gold Standard stops in front of an office and gestures to it for Rime. "This office belongs to the the servant overseer, and she is the one who interviews potential candidates." She looks to Rime, "Her name is Checklist. Are you certain you want to try for that interview?"
[13:26] * Green_Field isn't too surprised by the servents quarters. At least they treat them better than how most slaves are treated.
[13:27] <TenMihara|GM> Daisy seems entirely surprised by the lavish, if crowded, servant's quarters. She look sto Green_Field, "Glad to be free, but kinda wishing my friend and I had wound up here instead."
[13:29] * Rime|Phone nods. "Yes, please. Thank you." She trots toward the overseers office.
[13:29] * Razor still doesn't like the idea of Rime doing this...
[13:31] * Logic seemed a little offput by this. Jealousy wasn't quite it, although he kind of wished the crusaders had a place like this when he was still a member. He eventually came to the conclusion that he was feeling a general sense of potential being squandered.
[13:31] * Green_Field thinks a moment and smiles at her answering truthfully. "If only you had ended up where I was. I could have freed you a lot sooner."
[13:32] <TenMihara|GM> Gold Standard opens the door and steps inside. Within, looking over some loose sheets of paper, is a stern looking mare with a beige coat and greying pink mane. Her cutie mark is a scroll wih a checkbox on it. She looks to Gold Standard and Rime with a raises eyebrow as they enter.
[13:32] * Proverb watches them go, blinking, before looking back at Harmony.
[13:33] * Harmony sits, nodding. "Do not worry about it. I will explain later. For now, wait until Gold Standard is ready to take us to our rooms."
[13:34] * Rime|Phone beams a smile at the older mare. "Good to meet you, Mrs Checklist. I'm Rime." She curtsies.
[13:34] * Proverb nods to Harmony. "Alright." She sits down next to her, leaning lightly against the mare.
[13:35] <TenMihara|GM> Gold Standard smiles at the stern mare, "Hello Miss Checklist." She gestures to Rime, "This filly is called Rime, and is friends with the ponies who saved my life a month or so ago. She was interested in an interview for an endenturement contract."
[13:35] <TenMihara|GM> Checklist stands up and scrutinizes Rime. "She's too young. You know very well the minimum age of consent is fourteen."
[13:40] <TenMihara|GM> Daisy smiles and nuzzles Green, "We're together now. That'th what matterth. It'th nithe."
[13:41] * Rime|Phone smiles. "I'm not far off, Mrs, and I have nopony to offer consent. I've been my own mare for years."
[13:42] <TenMihara|GM> Checklist gets really close to Rime's face as she looks her over, almost as if analyzing a piece of meat. "Albinism. Not a common trait." Gold standard speaks up on Rime's behalf, "Apparently her parents left her years ago."
[13:43] <TenMihara|GM> Checklist looks Rime over. "Very well." She gestures to a chair across from her seat at the desk, "Be seated."
[13:44] * Rime|Phone nods. Trotting over and sitting down politely.
[13:46] <TenMihara|GM> Checklist looks to Gold Standard, "If that's all?" Standard nods and steps out to rejoin the rest of the party. "She'll be in there a little while, Checklist is very thorough."
[13:46] * Green_Field nuzzles her back. "And, how happy I am that we are now. It has been quite a nice time today."
[13:47] <TenMihara|GM> Checklist looks at Rime with an everpresent scrutiny and sternness. She pulls out a sheet of paper and lights up her horn to bring up a rather nice looking quill. "Full name?" She asks.
[13:48] * Harmony nods, sitting back up. "Do you think you can guide us to the guest rooms then? I believe we would like to retire."
[13:48] * Rime|Phone pushes her hat to the back of her head and pockets her shades. Ponies like to see your eyes in polite company. "Just Rime, Ma'am."
[13:49] <TenMihara|GM> Gold Standard nods, "I certainly could." She looks to the others, "Did any of you wish to go for a swim, or would you all like to retire?"
[13:49] <TenMihara|GM> Checklist nods and writes that down. "Age?"
[13:50] * Rime|Phone "Thirteen."
[13:51] <TenMihara|GM> Checklist frowns, "You don't look thirteen."
[13:52] * Rime|Phone smiles. "Just turned... I think... Its kinda hard to keep that all straight out there."
[13:54] <TenMihara|GM> Checklist nods, "Very well." She writes that down. "If you have been making your own way for the past few years, what have you been doing?"
[13:56] * Rime|Phone "I'm a mechanic. I can fix /anything/. Always stuff to fix and caps to be made fixing it. I've eeked out enough to get by the last several years."
[13:57] <TenMihara|GM> Gold Standard waits for replies from the others
[13:59] <TenMihara|GM> Checklist jots a few things down. "Could you provide a few specific, detailed examples of your work?"
[14:00] * Green_Field looks at Daisy with a bit of a grin as he answers. "I wouldn't mind a swim. I don't imagine that you could stand having an irradiated pool."
[14:01] <TenMihara|GM> Gold Standard shakes her head, "Of course not. The irrigation here for the crops as well as drinking and bathing water is all provided by a talisman."
[14:02] * Green_Field looks at her interested. "And, what talisman is that?"
[14:03] <TenMihara|GM> Gold Standard blinks, "A water talisman."
[14:03] <TenMihara|GM> Daisy snickers and whispers to Green; "Athk a dumb quethtion."
[14:03] * Rime|Phone thinks a short moment. "Rebuilt some robots. Activating and deactivating turrets while being fired upon. Armor and weapon customization and maintenance. I can fix anything."
[14:04] <TenMihara|GM> Checklist shakes her head, "While those are specific examples, I would like you to go into detail so I know you know what you're talking about."
[14:07] <TenMihara|GM> Daisy then blinks, looking to Gold, "Wait, you have a talithman that can just -make- clean water?"
[14:07] * Razor scratches a hoof at the ground. She's an impatient pony. "I don't care. Can we just... do something?"
[14:10] * Logic sighs. "What qualifies doing something?"
[14:10] <Rime|Phone> "Well, you have my grenade rifle so that's a specific example of my weapon modification and upkeep. I cut down a full sized suit of medium armor to fit a filly in half an hour. I've rebuilt three robots for defense out of a pile of scrap. There were at least ten donors I had to sift through. And I'll ace any practical test you would like to put me up against. "
[14:12] <TenMihara|GM> Checklist nods and writes some things down. "That might come up then. Now, what does your cutie mark symbolize exactly?"
[14:17] * Rime|Phone looks back at her flank with a smile. "Well, I had a bear a few years ago. I was in a kinda lonely place, mentally, ya know. So I poured myself into making him a little robot skeleton. He would dance. He's holding his arms out doing jazz-paws on stage. See?" She turns so she can see the bear doing jazz-paws in a ring. Like he's in a spotlight (and not exploding)
[14:17] <TenMihara|GM> Checklist hmms, "That is a interesting feat. What happened to this bear?"
[14:18] <Rime|Phone> "Lost it when my house burned down..." She gives a sad little frown.
[14:20] <TenMihara|GM> Checklist nods, "When was that?"
[14:20] * Green_Field looks a Gold. "You can tell us about it on our way to the pool."
[14:22] * Rime|Phone rubs her chin. "When I started traveling. Month or two? It's kinda a blur..."
[14:27] <TenMihara|GM> Gold nods. First, she leads those who want to sleep to the guest rooms, which are on par with the servant quarters, although she offers the party two of them in total to divide up how they like. She then leads the others who don't stay towards the pool, telling Green and Daisy, "Basically, a lot of the prosperity and cleanliness here comes from the fact that we have a magical supply of clean water."
[14:31] * Rime|Phone smiles. "They promised to help me find a new place to live. And I'm thinking this could be it."
[14:35] * Logic loses interest when Razor doesn't respond. "Be sure to get some towels, Green." Wet fur smell sucks to be around.
[14:35] <TenMihara|GM> Checklist nods, "I see." She continues writing things down and thinking to herself. She goes a few minutes without asking Rime any questions.
[14:35] * Proverb nudges Harmony. "You want to go to the pool?"
[14:37] <Green_Field> "That's definitly one great thing you've got going on here, cleanliness."
[14:37] * Harmony shakes her head, walking into one of the rooms. "No, I think I would prefer to catch up on sleep."
[14:38] * Rime|Phone wonders if this is a test to see if she knows when to stay quiet or a test of initiative. Considering what she's trying out for, probably shutting up. She smiles and waits.
[14:38] <TenMihara|GM> Checklist writes something else down and then asks, "What do you think of our establishment here?"
[14:39] * Proverb nods, trotting after Harmony. "Alright."
[14:41] * Harmony shrugs, slipping out of her armor. "-I- would like to sleep, but that does not mean you cannot go swimming." She lays down after neatly piling her equipment. "I would not mind."
[14:43] * Rime|Phone smiles. "Its very pretty, very well maintained. It seems like it could be worth it to sign away some years for the security this place offers."
[14:44] * Proverb sneaks a quick kiss onto Harmony's lips. "I think I'm going to go see if they have somewhere with armor... I need something better than leather." She giggles lightly.
[14:44] <TenMihara|GM> Checklist nods. "Do you have any opposition to doing menial chores and labour if a specific match for your talents cannot be found?"
[14:46] * Rime|Phone shakes her head. "I'm not afraid of work. But I think if like to be put through my paces before I sign ten years away. Get a feel for the work."
[14:47] * Harmony nods and rolls over, slipping into the bed's sheets...
[14:47] * Proverb nuzzles Harmony, kissing her cheek. "Sleep well my love."
[14:48] * Missile_Rush has been following along quietly.
[14:49] <TenMihara|GM> Checklist nods, jotting somethign else down. "And your thoughts on remaining here? Without your companions, and with certain limitations on your independance?"
[14:49] * Razor takes the oppotunity to rest as well, instead of swimming. Why would she care about swimming anyway?
[14:50] <TenMihara|GM> Gold Standard takes those that want to go swimming down to the pool, which is a rather luxurious affair out the back of the resort, complete with an on-site jacuzi

[14:51] * Rime|Phone grins. "I've been alone. I've traveled with friends through danger. I think I can trade some time for safety. This seems like such a safe place."
[14:51] * Proverb steps out of the room, looking around. She looks for a pony to ask if there's a shop around here!
[14:52] <TenMihara|GM> Asking around, Proverb is told about a souvenir and travel ration shop, but that's about it
[14:53] * Green_Field is impressed by all the -clean- water.
[14:55] * Proverb sighs, returning to the room. She snuggles in with Harmony.
[14:55] <TenMihara|GM> There is a trolly nearby attended by a servant with a good supply of towels for afterwards. Daisy gleefully slips into the water and begins to frolick. She's a bit uncoordinated, but doesn't seem to be at risk of sinking anyways
[14:56] <TenMihara|GM> Checklist nods, "It certainly is. As well, there is a certain solidarity amongst our servants, many of whom share a collective hope for better lives once their contracts are fufilled."
[14:57] * Rime|Phone grins. "I'm sure meeting them will be nice."
[14:57] * Green_Field joins Daisy after taking his gear off. "This sure is nice."
[15:00] <TenMihara|GM> CHecklist jots down a couple more more things, then rolls up the parchment she was writing on. "I think I have all I need for the moment. I shall consider your application, and if there are any practical evaluations you need to undertake, they will likely be asked of you tomorrow if I consider you a worthy candidate."
[15:01] * Rime|Phone smiles, hoping off the chair and offering a curtesy. "Thank you for your time Mrs Checklist. Am I dismissed?"
[15:02] <TenMihara|GM> Checklist nods, "Yes."
[15:03] * Rime|Phone gives another curtesy and trots out. Time to do some skulking about. To the pool in stealth to see how easy sneaking is here.
[15:04] <TenMihara|GM> Rime is easily perceptive enough to notice that there are cameras everywhere here.
[15:05] <TenMihara|GM> However, this also lets her figure out where there are a few blind spots that make for good sneaking.
[15:06] * Rime|Phone starts memorizing camera locations as she stealthily seeks the others.
[15:07] <TenMihara|GM> Getting to the pool is easy enough
[15:14] * Rime|Phone keeps looking around as she goes.
[15:16] * Logic is just kinda hovering around the pool, trying to ignore actually going into the pool. Right now, he's thinking of different number sequences to help. Playing with numbers tended to help with learning about it.
[15:17] <TenMihara|GM> Daisy splashes Green_Field a few times, enjoying herself
[15:18] * Green_Field is always happy to see her enjoying herself and splashes back.
[15:19] <TenMihara|GM> On her travels, Rime can see that the place is really well maintained, at least asthetically, but most of the places she could inspect anything mechanical or otherwise behind the scenes are covered by a camera and would be difficult to reach unescorted.
[15:19] <TenMihara|GM> Daisy giggles and tries to get the hang of actually moving throug hthe deeper water
[15:20] * Rime|Phone grumbles as she continues. Nothing really jumping out at her as useful.
[15:22] * Green_Field follows Daisy in case she needs help moving or falls below the surface. It's always so nice to see her having some real fun.
[15:23] <TenMihara|GM> Daisy is, as per usual, a bit klutzy, but she can propel herself and stay afloat well enough. She's not going to be participating in the Equestria Games any time soon, but those haven't bene a thing in over two centures anyways
[15:29] <TenMihara|GM> Rime can spot Green and Daisy having a good time in the pool, and Logic skirting it
[15:30] * Green_Field let's her move and floats on his back, relaxing. This is indeed nice... if only slave labor wasn't involved, but then again, he's profited off that before and they even have better conditions here.
[15:34] * Proverb is snuggled up against Harmony, dozing lightly, her wing around the mare.
[15:38] <TenMihara|GM> Daisy decides she's had enough and splashes Green one more time before stepping out of the pool
[15:39] * Green_Field is startled by the splash, but smiles and follows her out. His magic grabbing two towels. "Had fun?"
[15:40] <TenMihara|GM> Daisy nods, smiling, "Yeth!"
[15:40] * Rime skulks forward out of the shadows. She pauses just a moment to strip out of her gear before sliding silently forward from Logic's blind side. She covers the last several strides in a sprint as she tackles the hapless colt over the edge!
[15:42] * Green_Field begins toweling her off with his hooves and offering a towel to her to dry him off. "Today as been quite enjoyable. I'm once again so thankful to have you around."
[15:44] <TenMihara|GM> Daisy nods, "It'th a bit thad, but at the thame time thith plathe ith really nithe. Much better than I ever would have thought."
[15:46] * Green_Field nods back. "Yeah, you hit it right."
[15:50] * Logic blinks and becomes vaguely aware that he's heading towards the pool. Then he becomes extremely aware, as soon as hooves hit the water as he stumbled off-balance, that his books are still in his saddlebag. And that he really, really didn't want them to get soaked. He attempted to somehow hold his bags on his back half while the rest of him flumped over the edge. He burbled softly.
[15:51] * Rime thinks, 'Levitate your shit, coltfriend, your ass going in the water!'.
[15:52] * Green_Field turns to look when he hears the splash.
[15:55] <TenMihara|GM> Daisy looks a mix of worried, confused, and amused by the foalish antics
[15:56] * Logic attempted to scramble his way out of the side of the pool, forehooves on the side of the pool pulling up.
[15:56] * Missile_Rush is sitting a ways from the pool, more content to take his flute and play a gentle, sweet tune, eyes closed.
[15:57] * Rime bursts from the water like a breaching white whale! ...Except tiny and not named 'Dick'. She wraps her forelegs around Logic, latching onto his back as he clings to the pool's edge.
[15:59] * Green_Field chuckles a bit and finishes toweling Daisy off.
[16:04] * Logic blaghleblaghleblaghleblaghles. Ohcelestiaohlunaohcadenceohshit. He clipped off his saddlebags, and then took a dunk. His eyes looked up from the bottom, completely deadpan. He hadn't exactly had time to work up an emotion other than frantic surprise.
[16:05] * Missile_Rush finishes his piece and looks upon the tranquil scene in front of him, taking it in.
[16:05] * Rime ponypaddles along the surface, willing to wait for Logic to surface.
[16:08] * Logic just sort of looks up and then notes that he's in water. That Rime had probably pushed him in. And that she probably didn't know he didn't know how to swim.
[16:08] * Rime paddles around a bit, wondering what is taking him so long... oh balls... She submurges and starts looking for Logic.
[16:09] * Green_Field looks on, leaving Rime to handle it, but ready to step in if needed.
[16:10] <TenMihara|GM> Daisy smiles and nuzzles Green while watching the foals 'play'
[16:11] * Rime swims down to Logic at the bottom of the pool, angling her neck under is barrel so she can try and swim him up.
[16:15] * Logic becomes aware that he's being dragged up. Before he gets all the way up, he remembers deciding not to jump in the pond because it was icky and probably radioactive. He vaguely remembered the kids needing Rad-away potions after they got out.
[16:17] * Missile_Rush sits back, just content with watching the other ponies for now. It's as if some tremendous ravine separates him from these others.
[16:17] * Rime makes the edge, getting Logic's head above water. She doesn't have a chance of muscling him out of the pool though. "The fuck you think you're doing, Logic! Not knowing how to swim!"
[16:19] * Logic coughs and sputters and spits water out of his mouth, flailing running motions up. "I *cough*- You try finding clean water in areas large enough to swim in near Chapel!"
[16:21] * Rime frowns. "It just comes natural, dammit! Why did you just sit on the bottom and... not even flail! You giving up on me!" Her eyes narrow.
[16:21] * Green_Field sees his flailing and pulls Logic up and out of the water, setting him a little back from the edge. He walks over to him. "You alright Logic?"
[16:21] <Green_Field> wtih his magic*
[16:25] * Logic coughs and sputters some more. He looked like a drowned rat in a white raincoat. "I..." He sneezed.  "-am fine." He looks down at Rime. "Well, I panicked at first, alright? And then I was trying to work up the magic to just teleport out of the pool, but you already got me by then!"
[16:26] * Missile_Rush continues to watch, frowning.
[16:27] * Rime snorts. "Teleport? Seriously? Just swim. It's not that hard, see?" She swims in a tight circle just away from the edge.
[16:28] * Logic frowns right on back. Easy for her to say.
[16:30] * Rime tosses her forelegs back up over the edge. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have pushed you in, especially since you didn't have your stuff off... I can teach you to swim..." She gives a hopeful little smile.
[16:30] * Green_Field doesn't see anything wrong with Logic and backs away to let them discuss. He turns back to Daisy, smiling at the foal's fun. He says quietly to her. "Hopefully she'll be able to loosen him up."
[16:33] * Missile_Rush stands up. Enough sitting around. He leaves the pool, deciding to walk around and take a look around the area for himself.
[16:40] * Logic looks deadpan for a moment, then slumps his shoulders. Sometimes caring about other ponies means doing something you don't wanna do. The hair on the back of his neck rose up. Alright. Aaaaalright. He shook out, removed his armor and coat, and... Then bellyflopped.
[16:41] * Rime ducks her head as Logic leaps over her. She bursts into giggles as she ponypaddles out to where he landed.
[16:41] * Logic flails!
[16:42] * Green_Field grimices a bit at the bellyflop. That looked painfull. Still, it's good to see him playing.
[16:42] * Rime sidles up beside him to offer help. "just focus on walking your legs under you. Just simple little kicks to tread water."
[16:47] * Logic tries to run underwater, but burns himself out and struggles to keep himself afloat.
[16:48] * Rime smirks. "New plan." She grabs hold and rolls him, Logic's head on her stomach as she lays back on the water. "Just... float... relax."
[16:49] * Logic is... Alright with that. He is pretty damned good at doing nothing and laying on ponies. He thought it was his special talent once.
[16:51] * Green_Field sits down and relaxes himself, still watching and happy to see him gain control of himself again.
[16:52] * Missile_Rush is elsewhere, taking a look around!
[16:52] * Rime traces a hoof through Logic's mane and down his cheek. "See? Isn't swimming nice?" She smirks.
[16:53] * Logic smirks right on back. Heh.
[16:56] <TenMihara> Daisy is glad to see that the foals are alright, and nuzzles Green
[16:57] * Green_Field smiles and puts a hoof around her, giving her a kiss on the cheek.
[16:58] <TenMihara> Daisy smiles and kisses back, slipping her tail into his
[17:06] <TenMihara> Daisy yawns and looks back towards the resort, and the guest rooms therein
[17:06] * Missile_Rush settles down for the night too.
[17:07] * Rime follows Razor once she gets dried, heading with her to their room.
[17:09] * Green_Field spends a bit more time with Daisy before heading back to a guest room for the night.

[17:10] * Rime follows Razor's /example/ once she gets dried, heading /up to/ their room. For bed!
[17:11] <TenMihara> Interestingly, at around 9 in the morning, there comes knocking at the doors, accompanied by the smell of hot fresh oatmeal
[17:12] * Missile_Rush wakes, opening the door to look outside, careful to maintain the Braytish accent that is his facade. "Yes?"
[17:12] * Rime curls tighter into Razor's stomach at the noise. Fuck mornings.
[17:13] <TenMihara> A pair of maids can be seen on either side of the hall, pushing carts laden with oatmeal, fruit, and a small selection of other breakfast items
[17:13] * Green_Field sits up with a stretch and climbs out of bed to answer the door.
[17:14] <TenMihara> The mare on one side of the hall answers MIssile_Rush, "Anything for breakfast sir?"
[17:14] <TenMihara> The same happens to Green_Field opposite
[17:15] * Proverb murrs, sitting up and nudging Harmony. "Harmy?" She says quietly.
[17:16] * Harmony rubs her eyes, sitting up. "Yes?"
[17:16] <Proverb> "There's breakfast~"
[17:16] * Green_Field isn't used to breakfast being delivered. "I, uh, yeah, sure."
[17:17] * Razor dislikes noise at 9 in the morning too. She groans and sits up, rubbing at her eyes with a foreleg. "Who the hell is it!?"
[17:17] * Missile_Rush looks to the mare, smiling gently. He had an image to maintain, after all. Might as well play the part. "A little oatmeal and fruit will do, thank you."
[17:17] <TenMihara> The mare gestures to the options on the cart. Daisy follows her nose over and practically salivates. More fresh food, and even delivered!
[17:17] <TenMihara> The mare nods, giving Missile one of the bowls of oatmeal and a pear
[17:18] * Missile_Rush nods politely, as he takes them and gently sets them aside. "Thank you kindly, miss...?"
[17:18] * Harmony sighs, rolling off of the bed. She's quick to dress herself... then inspects her coat. Is Green's spell still in effect?
[17:18] * Green_Field takes a bowl of oatmeal with a thank you to the maid and heads back to bed to eat.
[17:19] * Proverb hops out of bed, yawning and wriggling into her barding.
[17:19] * Rime is sure she heard somepony in their room get the door. She didn't pay any attention to who they were with. But she does get some food.
[17:19] <Green_Field> Harmony finds that her coat is still a light brown.
[17:20] <TenMihara> Daisy takes a bowl as well, and a pear too.
[17:20] * Harmony nods to herself and quickly brushes her mane before peeking out of the room.
[17:20] <TenMihara> The serving maids curtsey as the room occupants take their food. "I'm Cherry," replies one. The other responds, "Misty."
[17:21] * Proverb nuzzles Harmony lightly, hopping up onto her back and peering over her head, smiling at the maid.
[17:21] <Proverb> "What all is there?"
[17:21] <TenMihara> The maid moves to the next pair of rooms so Razor, Rime, Logic, Harmony and Proverb could also eat
[17:24] * Rime will wake up for food, looking it over. "So, how's life here? I'm thinking of signing on. I'm Rime by the way. Checklist said you guys had real comradery"
[17:25] * Proverb takes some oatmeal, squeeing a little.
[17:26] <TenMihara> Cherry nods, "Oh yes, it really is quite nice living here. The sleeping can be a bit crowded with four to six in a room, but there's more than enough space for all of us while we work."
[17:27] * Harmony takes a bowl of oatmeal as well, along with a glass of water, eating in her room.
[17:28] <TenMihara> Daisy digs in, no manners whatsoever!
[17:28] * Green_Field eats, enjoying the meal.
[17:30] <TenMihara> Daisy giggles, saying to Green. "I can thee that it would be tempting to come here jutht for the food." She finishes off her oatmeal and moves to the pear
[17:30] * Rime takes a bite of fruit. "So, is the work nice? They treat you ok? Yell alot? Work the lash? What's it really like?"
[17:32] * Razor grumbles, but gets some food.
[17:32] * Green_Field stops a moment to think. "Hmm, I should ask about that."
[17:33] <TenMihara> Misty shakes her head, "Oh no, nothing so barbaric as that." She actually frowns a bit. "My mistress even bought me from a slaver, then set me free as soon as we got back here, and offered me a contract instead."
[17:34] * Rime nods, taking another bite. "You ever get stuck with 'other' shifts. Ya know, the tail-lifting kind? I hear there are two different kinds of servants."
[17:36] <TenMihara> Misty shakes her head, "No. Nopony can join the harem involuntarily, and I'm quite glad that I never had to experience such a life." She blushes a bit, "I do have a coltfriend among the butlers though."
[17:36] * Rime tilts her head. "And they are okay with that? Fratrenizing and such?"
[17:37] * Harmony sighs somewhat happily as she finishes her oatmeal and nudges Proverb. "Ready to fetch the others? "
[17:38] <TenMihara> Misty nods, "Well, the sleeping arrangements aren't co-ed, but we're allowed to see each other when we're not on shift."
[17:38] * Rime smiles. It's funny, it seems more and more like a good deal if you aren't signed up to be on the wrong end of the dick.
[17:38] * Green_Field finishes eating. "I'll ask Gold about it later." He walks over to Harmony. "I should refresh that spell before we do anything."
[17:39] * Missile_Rush turns his attention to Cherry, smiling warmly, maintaining his facade. "It seems you lead a happy life here."
[17:39] * Harmony nods, waiting. "Very well. And then after,  I would like to see if it is time for our audience."
[17:40] * Proverb nods to Harmony
[17:41] <Proverb> "Yeah, I hope this goes well..."
[17:41] * Green_Field 's horn lights again and refreshes the spell on her. "Should last all day." He then turns to Daisy and recasts it on her so she'll have a tongue all day. "May as well, since I'll cave later and cast it on you anyway." He says with a chuckle.
[17:43] <TenMihara> Cherry nods, "Oh definitely. It's not all fun and games, but considering the alternatives out in the wastes..."
[17:43] <TenMihara> Daisy chuckles and nods thankfully
[17:44] * Harmony smiles, nodding to Green. "Right, ready to go then?"
[17:45] * Rime smiles to Misty. "So, if you were me, but you knew what you know, would you do it?"
[17:45] * Green_Field gets his gear all together and on his back. "Yes, let's go."
[17:46] * Missile_Rush nods. "Of course. Somepony like yourself wouldn't deserve such a horrid fate, would they?" He taps a hoof on the ground lightly, as he clears his throat. "I must be going, I'm afraid. Good day to you, miss." With another smile, he trots on to find the others. "Until the next time."
[17:46] <TenMihara> Daisy dons her saddle, rather than her armour
[17:46] * Razor half listens to Rime's conversation as she eats. She's still uneasy about the possibility of Rime staying here.
[17:46] <TenMihara> Cherry nods, "Good day esteemed guests." She and Misty move down the hall, continuing to knock and offer their simple but fresh breakfast options
[17:47] * Missile_Rush locates the others. "Shall we get going, then?"
[17:47] * Rime follows behind. "Hey... Misty... You... ahhh... didn't answer that... would you do it again?"
[17:48] * Green_Field smiles at Daisy. "I had forgotten how pretty you look in that."
[17:49] <TenMihara> Misty blinks, looking at Rime, "I am certain I would, yes. I can hardly call it perfect, but the wasteland is a deathtrap and I owe my mistress both my life and my freedom."
[17:51] * Rime smiles. "That's good to hear. I was worried you were keeping a secret of horrible mistreatment or something, cause if you put me off joining they'd whip you ragged or something... I guess I'm still wrapping my head around the difference between servant and slave. Thanks for talking with me." She smiles and trots back to the room.
[17:51] * Rime makes a point to look back and see if Misty's face gives anything away.
[17:52] * Rime would hate to have hit the nail on the head and missed the facial raction.
[17:52] <TenMihara> Misty nods, "It's true we aren't paid for our work, but when not on shift we are free to enjoy ourselves, and we are provided food and a place to stay that is safe and secure."
[17:53] * Harmony follows Green_Field!
[17:53] * Rime smiles and trots back to Razor and the others. This is /really/ kinda looking like a nice place.
[17:54] <TenMihara> Daisy smiles and nuzzles Green_Field. Maybe she could find something nice for him to wear, like he had treated her before.
[17:54] * Proverb pertches atop Harmony's back for the time being.
[17:55] * Green_Field heads to the other room to join up with the others.
[18:04] * Razor finishes up and joins the others outside the room. "So... what next?"
[18:05] * Missile_Rush trots along with the group, silent.
[18:06] * Rime clammors up on Razor's back. "Well, Harmony talks to the boss dude or whatever and I get to know if I make the cut." She smirks, rolling over and getting comfortable between Razor's shoulderblades.
[18:07] * Razor frowns. "I don't... know if that's a good idea."
[18:08] * Rime waves a hoof dismissively. "I'm sure Pinot will do fine."
[18:09] * Missile_Rush trottrottrots along.
[18:12] * Rime could really use a smoke... or a chew... but that would probably be too 'unrefined' here. Besides, she's totally quitting.
[18:14] * Razor keeps frowning. "That's not what I meant, Rime."
[18:15] * Green_Field hangs back, as usual, and let's the others figure it out. This was Harmony's deal and she's a much better talker than him anyway.
[18:15] * Rime lets her head loll off the side of Razor's shoulder, laying against her neck so she can kinda look up at her face. "Oh?"
[18:16] * Proverb remains pertched between Harmony's shoulders.
[18:24] * Razor sighs. "I'm talking about you, Rime."
[18:28] <TenMihara> The assembled part takes up a decent amount of room in the hall, and some servants and Society members alike have to nudge through
[18:28] * Rime nuzzles Razor's neck. She talks very softly, whispering. "Don't worry about me, I got a plan. And I'm sticking with you til you try to get rid of me."
[18:30] * Razor looks back at Rime. "So... you're not staying?"
[18:31] <TenMihara> *party
[18:31] * Rime shushes Razor softly if that was anything more than a whisper. She continues her soft speech, "Nope, just want to get some access."
[18:33] * Proverb hops off of Harmony's back, smiling up at her.
[18:35] * Razor is a bit confused at why Rime feels the need to be so secretive and cryptic, but she nods.
[18:36] * Missile_Rush continues to trot along, steeling himself for whatever's ahead.
[18:38] * Rime smiles. Razor gets it. She scooches back in between her shoulders where it is more comfortable.
[18:38] <TenMihara> A short while later, another servant approaches the group. He first looks to Rime, "Miss Checklist has requested your presence in her office." Then to Harmony, "I have been instructed to escort Miss Pinot to King Awesome's audience chamber."
[18:39] * Rime nods, hopping down. "Of course, Sir." She smiles and throws a wave to the group as she heads for /Miss/ Checklist's office.
[18:40] * Razor watches Rime go. She mutters a quiet, "Be careful..."
[18:42] * Harmony smiles to Rime. "Best of luck... and be careful." She sighs, turning her attention to the servant. "Lead on... and thank you."
[18:43] <TenMihara> The servant leads Harmony away and up to the uppermost level of Elysium. The Penthouse Suites.
[18:43] * Rime trots down the center of the hall, a bounce in her gait and a smile on her lips.
[18:43] * Proverb look around at those who are left, smiling and trotting over to Daisy.
[18:44] <TenMihara> Daisy smiles at Proverb. "The'll be alright."
[18:45] <TenMihara> Rime doesn't take long to reach Checklist's office
[18:45] * Proverb fidgets. "I hope so..." She looks off in the direction Harmony had gone. "I... I'm going to ask her to marry me after this..."
[18:46] * Rime knocks politely at the door to her office. It is, after all, the polite thing to do.
[18:47] <TenMihara> The door opens witha click and Checklist speaks neutrally; "Come in Rime."
[18:48] * Green_Field smiles at Proverb. "Congradulations, Proverb."
[18:49] * Rime smiles and enters, waiting to be offered a seat before setting down.
[18:51] * Proverb smiles at Green_Field. "Thanks Green." She giggles lightly. "I just need to find a ring."
[18:54] <TenMihara> Checklist watches Rime with her unyielfing expression. "Be seated."
[18:54] * Rime takes a seat, all smiles. After a curtsey of course.
[18:56] <TenMihara> Checklist shuts the door magicall and keeps her eyes fixed on Rime, her stare penetrating.
[18:58] <TenMihara> Checklist's gaze relents a little when Rime apparently doesn't crack. "Now then Miss Rime, if there's one thing I don't appreciate, it's being lied to. While I have no proof of what the actual truth is against what you told me, but I do know when truth is absent."
[19:00] * Rime tilts her head slightly. "I'd be more than happy to answer any other questions, I don't think I left anything out, Miss Checklist."
[19:01] <TenMihara> Checklist nods, "I'll admit, you are a sympathetic case based on your presented, but there's something else you want, isn't there? More than just a roof and a job."
[19:01] * Proverb looks from Daisy to Green_Field. "Do you think you could help me find one?"
[19:03] * Green_Field nods. "Of course. A place like this is bound to have a nice selection for sale."
[19:03] * Proverb grins, hopping up and down a bit. "Yay~!"
[19:04] * RadioHooves is now known as Missile_Rush
[19:05] <TenMihara> Checklist looks at Rime, "One chance to tell me what that other motivation is, or I will reject your application immediately."
[19:07] * Rime lets her ears fall just slightly as the gears in her head whirl. "I just... The ponies I'm traveling with... They've been nice enough, but they caused the fire that put me out. There's always that little nip in the back of my mind. I want to find a place, a safe place, where I can meet ponies who don't just roll from place to place letting their guns speak as often as their mouths... ya know?"
[19:08] * Rime "I... want a family... not just comrades in arms..."
[19:09] * Green_Field looks at Proverb, still smiling. "Well, if you'd like to look, now's the time while Harmony is busy."
[19:09] * Missile_Rush settles comfortably, as he pulls his flute out and speaks to nopony in particular. "Would anypony object to some music?"
[19:09] <Proverb>  /me nods to Green_Field. "Let's go!"
[19:11] <TenMihara> Checklist nods, "I see. I take it this stems from the abandonment of your parents?"
[19:12] * Green_Field looks around and thinks. He would answer Missile_Rush, but since he's about to leave, answering would be right. "Uh, do you know if there is a shopping floor or something?"
[19:12] <Green_Field> wouldn't*
[19:12] * Razor sits with Missile_Rush. "I can't stand waiting for something to happen..."
[19:13] * Rime tears up and looks down slightly. "They just... dropped me in a room, told me to listen to the stallion's stories and... killed themselves... how can ponies just... give up like that?" She looks up with big, wet eyes.
[19:13] <Proverb> "I heard that there's a shop last night, not sure where it is." SHe looks around for somepony to ask!
[19:15] <TenMihara> Passing servants are more than happy to points guests towards the Souvenir shops. There's a small collection of the them on the main floor.
[19:15] * Missile_Rush turns to Razor. "It's the uncertainty, isn't it? It's about having to sit on your rump, feeling powerless to do anything. I know exactly what you're talking about."
[19:17] <TenMihara> CHecklist nods to Rime. "In that case, I must offer this caution. The servants here may have good lives compared to the rest of the wasteland, and a sense of camaraderie from working together, but you would be the youngest among them, and between their own interests and work, and the work you would recieve, I am not certain it would work out the way you want it to."
[19:18] * Proverb heads up to the shops with Green_Field, humming and hopping along happily, a huge grin on her face. She pokes her head into one, looking around.
[19:19] * Rime sniffs, running her foreleg across her muzzle. "I'm patient. It would be for after, when I can be a real member. Be safe, have a family. Be better than what I had. That's what I want most... and I think this could be the best way to get it. That's why I want to try it out, see if I fit, then maybe I've found my new home." She gives a weak smile.
[19:20] * Razor scratches at the ground with a hoof. "I just want this to be over now! I want to do things myself. I don't like waiting for somepony else."
[19:22] * Missile_Rush regards Razor quietly, before replying. "At least," he says, "you don't have to wait alone."
[19:23] * Green_Field trot along with Proverb, amused by her glee and genuenly happy for it. "What kind of ring did you have in mind?"
[19:23] * Razor sighs. "I still don't like waiting..."
[19:24] * Proverb shrugs to Green_Field, stepping into the shop. "Not sure yet, but it has to fit Harmony perfectly!"
[19:25] <TenMihara> There is a shop selling jewellery. Some of it is cheap stuff, but there are quite a few pieces with genuine gemstones
[19:25] * Proverb gravitates towards the genuine stuff, peering at the rings carefully.
[19:27] * Missile_Rush nods soberly. "Think of it this way, Razor. How much do you know about flowers?"
[19:27] * Green_Field looks over her shoulder, not sure what would "fit" Harmony. No matter, all that does matter is that they're happy with the selection. Part of him hopes that Daisy doesn't find anything she likes because of how much it'll cost and the other part wanting to get her something anyway.
[19:28] <TenMihara> The mare behind the counter, an actual Society member by the look of her (she wasn't wearing a maid or butler outfit). "We get these from a mine nearby. Overseen by a Mister Gorgon of the Reapers. We do a decent bit of trade with them."
[19:28] * Rime continues to smile weakly up at Checklist.
[19:29] <TenMihara> Checklist nods, "I see. Well, considering you mentioned a specialization in mechanical work, I will contact our chief endentured Maintenance Worker."
[19:29] * Proverb nods to the mare. "What all do you have?"
[19:30] * Rime gives a thankful nod. "Thank you." She waits expectantly, not sure /how/ or /when/ she plans to contact him. Regardless, she hasn't been dismissed from her chair.
[19:32] <TenMihara> Checklist lights up her horn and a tube with an outward conical topper slides over from the wall. She speaks into it. "This is Checklist calling Maintenance. Could you please send Ratchet up." After a moment, the voice os someone else vibrates out through the tube with a hollow echo. "On his way ma'am."
[19:33] <TenMihara> Harmony is escorted up to the 5th floor of Elysium. The Penthouse Suite, where King Awesome himself lived. She would also remember it because a portion of this floor is partioned off for the Harem.
[19:34] * Harmony holds her disdain within, instead maintaining a small smile as she follows.
[19:34] <TenMihara> The mare gestures to various necklaces, earrings, horn rings, anklets and brooches. Notably, the genuine gemstones are more expensive.
[19:37] * Rime smiles and stays seated, waiting for this Ratchet.
[19:37] * Razor gives Missile_Rush a blank stare. "... Flowers? What does that have to do with anything?"
[19:38] * Proverb peers closely at the anklets, eyeing one in particular with two emeralds and a diamond. "How much for this one?"
[19:38] <TenMihara> "Eight hundred," replies the shopmare casually.
[19:39] <TenMihara> The servant leading Harmony upstairs stops before entering the suite proper. "One moment please." He steps past the curtain and calls out, "Presenting, miss Pinot." He then holds the curtain aside for her.
[19:39] * Proverb nods, nods, nudging open her saddlebags and dropping 8 sacks of 100 caps into the counter. "I'll take it!" She says happily.
[19:40] <TenMihara> Teh shopmare floats out a relatively clean box to slip the anklet into, closing it and presenting it to Proverb while taking the caps into a coffer and jotting down the sale in a ledger
[19:41] * Proverb squees, taking it in her wing and hopping over to Green_Field and Daisy, giving them both hugs~
[19:41] * Harmony inhales sharply, steeling herself. With a sigh, releasing her breath, she walks forward and through the curtain.
[19:42] <TenMihara> About ten minutes after being called, a knock comes at the door, which Checklist opens to admit a grey coated unicorn stallion wearing maintenance barding with a number of tools in its pockets. He looks like he tried (and failed) to clean some grease and soot off himself before coming here.
[19:42] * Green_Field gives Proverb a one hoofed hug back. "A good pick."
[19:44] <TenMihara> On the other side of the Cutrain, an incredibly handsome earth pony stallion built like a pre-war athelete and bedecked in quite a bit of finery, including a velvet and fur cape, with a crown atop his head. Also in the room is Gold Filligree, and a white coated, grey maned unicorn mare who seems to be trying hard not to frown. Harmony would recognize her immediately
[19:45] <TenMihara> Checklist addresses the Stallion. "Ratchet, this is Rime. She's an applicant for endenturement and has professed to posessing mechanical skill."
[19:45] * Missile_Rush turns to Razor as he explains. "Some plants only bloom after a harsh winter. They have to wait through bitter cold and an uncertain fate before they sprout, but when they do they are always worth the patience." He gives a wry chuckle. "It's silly to talk about something like flowers, I know. But my point is that sometimes it's worth the wait to see what follows, no matter how painful it is. Can you imagin
[19:46] * Proverb slips the box into her barding, nodding and grinning. "I hope that her meeting goes okay..."
[19:46] * Rime gives Ratchet a respectful nod. Still an elder, but also a servant, so no curtsey.
[19:47] <Green_Field> "Well, knowing Her ability to negotiate, she'll be fine."
[19:47] * Proverb fidgets nervously. "I hope so..."
[19:48] * Harmony 's eyes linger on the grey-maned unicorn. 'Mother!', she nearly calls out, but she holds her breath. Why...? Is the only question on her mind, but such a question would reveal her true self. Diverting her gaze, Harmony dips her head, bowing to the trio of ponies.
[19:48] * Missile_Rush how painful it must be for Kay, for instance? Sitting in some metal box, waiting to see you again? But when it does, it will have been worth it to him to have waited so long." He turns away. "There are ponies willing to wait an eternity for you, Razor. Surely you can wait a few hours."
[19:50] <TenMihara> King Awesome stands from his thrown, speaking in a voice that seems to fill the room. "Miss Pinot. You have come here seeking an audience with me, and I have allowed it at the behest of one of my noble subjects." he gestures to Filligree. "I am told you wish to discuss the bounty that was placed on the mare called Harmony, who is wanted for crimes against my Society."
[19:51] * Green_Field looks between Proverb and Daisy. "So, is there anything else you'd like to look for while here?"
[19:51] <Proverb> "Well, I'd like to pick up a combat knife and some new armor, but I don't think they sell those here."
[19:52] <Green_Field> "Hmm, well it won't hurt to look around."
[19:52] * Harmony raises her head and nods, her eyes meeting King Awesome's. "I do. I wish to negotiate the removal of her bounty, if you would allow me to present my case and tell my story."
[19:52] <TenMihara> Rachet gives Rime a friendly wave, then looks to Checklist. "So Miss, has she been accepted already, or is her contract offer contingent on demonstration of her skills." Checklist answers, "The former. I know you prefer to screen that aspect personally." Rachet nods, "And I do appreciate that you let me make that call."
[19:53] * Rime tries to get a read on the stallion, all smiles.
[19:54] <TenMihara> King Awesome nods, "You will have a chance to tell your tale, but first I would make sure you are aware of the charges against the mare." He looks to Silver Lining, who steps forward. "Harmony is guilty of, primarily, of two counts of murder. As well, she committed the ancilliary crimes of breach of endenturement contract, and larsony."
[19:54] * Proverb nods to Green_Field, heading out of the shop and looking around for one that might sell armor.
[19:55] <TenMihara> None of the shops in the resort proper seem to have weapons or armour except for small arms, which the Society members themselves do not carry, and instead have storied for them in case they need protection while out in the wasteland, in addition to guard escorts.
[19:56] * Harmony nods. "I have heard as much."
[19:57] * Proverb frowns lightly. "Nothing, as expected, oh well. I think a stop to Megamart is in order."
[19:57] * Razor frowns. "That's not what I meant. I want to be the one doing things! I hate being the one who's stuck without some way to keep going!"
[20:00] * Missile_Rush turns away from Razor. "I'm not saying you aren't, or that you're wrong to feel that way. What I'm saying is that the time when you'll be able to act is coming, and when it does I know you'll make the most of it."
[20:00] * Green_Field nods. "A good idea. So, anything else either of you want to see?"
[20:01] <TenMihara> Silver Lining continues, "As my daughter, she was my responsibility, and rather than allowing her to be banished, I elected for the two of us to serve prolongued endenturement contracts, with a guarantee of acceptance into the Society upon completion."
[20:04] * Harmony purses her lips and shakes her head. "And what of the position that she served while at the Society?"
[20:05] * Proverb shakes her head at Green_Field. "Not really... I want to go wait for... Pinot to be finished."
[20:05] <TenMihara> Silver Lining Sighs, "I thought she would be happy. A brief period of servitude, briefer still with a term in the harem, as I did, for a lifetime of security and prosperity."
[20:06] * Green_Field nods and starts heading back. "So, things have been well, Proverb?"
[20:06] <TenMihara> King Awesome nods, "And I believe that, prior to her turning fourteen, she was in our youth care program, was she not?"
[20:07] * Razor grumbles. "Still doesn't mean I like it."
[20:08] <TenMihara> Silver Lining nods, "Yes. Education, clean food, a life without hardship. I couldn't imagine any better way to care for her. Yet still, she turned to violence and anarchy."
[20:08] * Missile_Rush sighs. "You don't have to like it. I don't like it either." Not knowing what else to do, he spreads a wing and places it comfortingly around Razor. "But I will wait."
[20:08] * Proverb smiles up at Green_Field, trotting along next to him. "Great!" She answers, smiling happily. "Going to marry the love of my life, and I got my hooves on an SVD!"
[20:10] * Harmony clears her throat. "Perhaps she did not see it that way?" she suggests. "I met her, but only briefly, and I believe I may be able to shed light on your confusion, if you would allow me to."
[20:11] * Green_Field chuckles before stopping, remembering. He turns around to head back to the shops. "You know, I should really get a hat. I'm glad thing are going well between you two. After what she's done for me, i want her to be happy."
[20:11] <TenMihara> Silver Lining nods, stepping back, having nothing more to say. King Awesome nods, "You may speak."
[20:14] <TenMihara> Rime can tell that Rachet is nice enough, but he looks like a stallion who would accept no nonsense when it came to actually doing the work he was engaged in
[20:16] * Rime isn't one to be skiddish, but it's nice he doesn't /look/ like the kind of stallion to try and take her to a back room and insist on the completion of /unrelated tasks/ to get a good report out of.
[20:16] * Proverb smiles at Green_Field. "Yeah... she's really helped me through all of my hardships..." She replies, trotting after Green_Field still. "I don't exactly have the most glorious past ever..."
[20:19] <Green_Field> "Heh, you and me both. But, you're not likely to find a pony in our chosen fields that doesn't have at least a few blotches on their record."
[20:20] <TenMihara> Rachet looks to Rime, "Alright then." He looks Rime over, then asks, "How many full rotations does it take to unscrew the cap on a compact heating boiler?"
[20:20] * Proverb nods to Green_Field. "Yeah... though..." She looks back at her Dashite Branding. "The only one who really knows about it is Harmony..."
[20:21] <TenMihara> Daisy smiles and looks around for a place for the group to be seated for their chat. She points to the patio by the pool.
[20:21] * Harmony nods. "When I saw her bounty, I decided that I could claim its reward-- easy enough, I believed." She looks down, shaking her head. "Before I even attempted to capture Harmony, I was set on by a band of raiders. She and her friends, hearing my cries for help, actually came to my rescue. I was barely scratched... a much better outcome, than had I been left with the raiders."
[20:21] <TenMihara> Rime has either not come across that kind of device before, or has forgotten.
[20:21] * Harmony looks up. "She did not even know why I was in the area... though it was easy enough to avoid the truth, and yet they helped me-- even gave me caps to make it to the next town over!" She smiles widely. "When I finally did, I decided to set out for the Society. Without her help, I would be dead. I want to repay her in this way." Harmony bows her head once more, though this time in (faux) respect.
[20:22] <Harmony> "I believe that the reason for her action is rooted in misunderstanding. You say that you chose this life for her, but did you ever tell her why? Or even that -you- chose it? That it would be best?" Her eyes turn to King Awesome. "I beseech you, if you were made to believe that you were a prisoner, a mistreated one, at that, would you not try to escape? To overthrow what you believe to be your oppressors?"
[20:22] * Razor eyes Missile_Rush. That wing thing is a liiiittle bit awkward. "Uh... What are you doing?"
[20:22] * Rime smiles. "Well. The exact number would be hard to determine. I think it would be more important to remember to properly bleed the pressure than to worry about how many turns."
[20:23] * Green_Field follows Daisy's hoof and shrugs. "Sure." He speaks to Proverb on the way. "But, no matter what your past is, she forgave you didn't she?"
[20:23] * Missile_Rush retracts his wing. "Sorry."
[20:24] * Proverb nods. "She did... she did." She sighs, sitting down next to Green_Field. "I... it's hard to forgive myself though."
[20:26] <TenMihara> Rachet smirks, "Good answer. Not exactly correct, but a good response if you've never seen one before. Alright, let's try something a little more general. The MWT funded most pre-war industries. What did MWT stand for?"
[20:27] <Green_Field> "Yeah, I know the feeling. But, she forgave me anyway. She and Daisy are the only two that know about my past, they both forgave even though I feel I don't deserve it. You're lucky to have her like I'm lucky to have Daisy." He smiles at Daisy and puts a hoof around her.
[20:28] * Razor gives another questioning look, but doesn't press further.
[20:29] <TenMihara> King Awesome looks contemplative. "I could see the need to throw off oppressors, but that is not what we are here. At the Society, we strive to provide benevolent leadership that will one day lead the wasteland back to prosperity for all. If the mare felt she -was- being oppressed, then she should have brought her case forward. Murder is not an acceptable solution. That is the thinking of a wastelander."
[20:30] * Proverb nods to Green_Field. "Well... I used to be Enclave, specifically, I was part of the Special Forces." She smiles a little. "Chief Master Sergeant Auburn Proverb. I was part of Delta Squadron. We were an all-purpose unit, and I was the sniper specialist."
[20:30] * Rime "Applejack's Ministry of Wartime Technology, part of the six ministries. Arcane Sciences, Peace, Morale, Image and..." She scratches her head. "Awesome?"
[20:30] * Harmony nods. "Then why do you wish to bring her back? Why not leave her for the mistakes. Moreover, if she only had a limited view of the Society, and what she perceived was negative, there would be no way she'd know, or think, to simply 'bring her case forward'."
[20:34] * Green_Field sits listening to Proverb. Military, that explains it.
[20:36] <TenMihara> Ratchet chuckles, "That's pretty impressive. Alright, so you got a good head, but I need to see how your hooves can keep up."
[20:38] * Proverb continues. "We were the ones who were sent down to the surface to eliminate what the Enclave had deemed as 'threats to the glory of the Grand Pegasus Enclave'." She snorts. "Of course, I believed it at first, well, that was until one of these 'threats' was a caravan that had simply gotten too far up a mountain." She sighs. "We were ordered to take them out, all of them, no survivors, but when we got there all we f
[20:38] * Missile_Rush turns to Razor. "Is something onyour mind?"
[20:39] <Proverb> but when we got there all we found were starving mares and foals with very few guards... a refugee train..."
[20:39] <TenMihara> King Awesome nods, "Because she must be made to answer for her crimes. Even if she truly has some justification, she still committed the crimes, and if we are to restore Equestria's society, we have to see to it that justice is upheld."
[20:40] * Razor keeps eyeing Missile_Rush. "...Why?"
[20:41] * Missile_Rush turns to Razor. "I asked first."
[20:41] * Harmony frowns. "What of her intent? Have you ever considered that those that she killed were her abusers? Did you ever investigate either of them?" She adds, "I would think so, if you truly wish for justice to be fully upheld... unless you are only looking to condemn her."
[20:42] * Green_Field nods, thinking but also hoping. "And, had a change of heart?"
[20:42] * Proverb droops her ears, shaking her head at Green_Field. "We killed them all..."
[20:43] <TenMihara> King Awesome nods, "You have a valid point, but unfortunately with them dead and cremated, that is difficult to discern. If she had any interest in justice, would not Harmony come here herself to plead her case?"
[20:45] * Green_Field grimices a little and looks down, eyes closed. "I let the otrocity happen too."
[20:46] <TenMihara> Rachet motions for Rime to follow him. "I have a few things that, if you can take care of them, would get you an affirmative for my practical evaluation."
[20:47] * Rime smiles and stands, turning to follow.
[20:48] * Harmony counters, "If she had any interest in justice, and it was already served, why would she come back to the place that not only enslaved her without her having the ability to choose, but also put a bounty out for her recapture?" She nods. "If -you- had any interest in justice, you would request for her presence to shed light on the matter. Is brutality not looked down upon in the Society? Is civility not the goal?"
[20:48] * Proverb bites her lip before continuing. "It was after that that I really began to doubt the Enclave's motivations, as did the rest of my squad. The next time that happened... we couldn't do it, we let them live, like we should have the first time, but we also lost our Commanding Officer. I was now the leader of our squadron... and it was then I decided we should kill the High Council..."
[20:49] * Razor shakes her head. "No, that's my answer. Why?"
[20:50] * Missile_Rush shrugs, turning his head away. "Because you keep eyeing me."
[20:51] * Razor rolls her eyes. "No. Why did you DO that?"
[20:52] * Green_Field looks back up at Proverb and continues listening.
[20:52] * Missile_Rush turns back to Razor. "Do what? Wrap my wing around you?"
[20:52] <TenMihara> King Awesome considers Harmony's words. "We previously had no reason to believe Harmony had any justification for her actions, and she had not presented any evidence or testimony to the contrary. Still, it is a fact that she commited murder, even if the ancilliary crimes are rather minor by comparrison. You say that Harmony saved your life, and is a good mare. Additionally, you have the vouching of another member of the Socie

[20:55] <TenMihara> King Awesome thinks for a moment. His voice speaks out as firmly as usual. "Very well. In light of this, we will rescind the bounty on the Mare Harmony, but only if she responds willingly to a summons. At that point, if she is found guilty, she will be made to face whatever end comes from the result."
[20:56] * Proverb sighs. "When we weren't off killing innocents, we were the Council's security detail, so an assassination was fairly easy, or so we thought. We had everything set-up perfectly... but my Sergeant, Fire Wing, betrayed our plans to our Major... her troops were waiting for us. I... I missed my shot on the High General, hit him in the shoulder, not the head, and then I had to watch as my entire squad was gunned down i
[20:57] <Proverb> in the crowd..."
[20:57] * Harmony nods, small smile gracing her lips. "I accept."
[20:58] <TenMihara> Silver Lining tilts her head, raising an eyebrow at 'Pinot'
[20:59] <TenMihara> Rachet leads Rime down to a basement level where other ponies are working with electrical generators, boilers and various other systems that keep the amenities of Elysium working. He leads her over to a workbench. "Just wait here a moment please."
[21:00] * Rime organizes her tools just like she likes. Everything in it's place and in the optimal area for her to reach. She has to make some adjustments for her size.
[21:01] * Harmony turns, hoof removing Logic's doctor's coat from her back. With it removed, her all-too-familiar cutie mark is revealed to Silver Lining. "I accept your terms King Awesome. I leave faith in this trial."
[21:01] <TenMihara> King Awesome nods, "If you know of the..." He blinks at Pinot's cutie mark, then looks to Silver Lining.
[21:01] <TenMihara> Silver Lining herself gasps, "What... that's... is it you?"
[21:02] * Green_Field looks at Proverb with a pondering eye, questions forming in his head. He respectfully lets her continue.
[21:02] * Razor rolls her eyes again. "What do you think I mean?"
[21:02] * Missile_Rush says nothing, as he closes his eyes in thought.
[21:03] <Proverb> Proverb sighs. "I tried to help them... but there were too many. Eventually I was captured... put on trial, branded, and then taken to be executed. I, managed to escape before that last one."
[21:03] * Harmony nods. "It is," She smiles. "Mom..."
[21:04] <TenMihara> Silver Lining looks like she's about to cry. "Harmony, you..." She runs over and hugs the mare.
[21:04] <TenMihara> King Awesome waits, apparently having either patience or nothing better to do at the moment
[21:05] <TenMihara> Ratchet smirks, "You're organized. I like that. Now then, have you ever built anything from scratch, or do you mostly fix stuff that's already there?"
[21:06] <Green_Field> "How did you escape after high treason?"
[21:06] * Rime smiles. "I can make or repair /anything/. I've customized, built from schematics, made schematics... I can and have done it all." She's got bravado!
[21:06] * Proverb giggles lightly. "Well... the floors of the prison are made of clouds so..." She smirks at Green_Field.
[21:07] * Harmony can't help but return the hug, closing her eyes as they begin to fill with tears. "...I can't stay, Mom. 'Father' was my abuser... I do not think I have any guilt in what I did."
[21:08] * Green_Field blinks. "You... just fell through the clouds?"
[21:08] <TenMihara> Silver Lining lets go and sighs at Harmony. "You should have told me. Still... maybe we can make this right." She clears her troat and steps back into place. Gold Filligree seemed shocked at the revelation, although a bit confused as to why Harmony looked like she did.
[21:08] * Proverb nods, giggling more. "Yeah, pretty easy escape, except for the platoon they sent after me... and the raider nest I ended up crashing into..."
[21:09] * Harmony explains, "I have a spell placed on me that conceals my true identity." She sighs, turning back to King Awesome. "I trust that the trial is still as agreed upon?"
[21:10] <TenMihara> King Awesome looks at Harmony, "So, you concealed your identity in order to investigate the charges against you. You of course realize this deception does not speak highly of your character." He smirks, "That said, it was a pretty daring risk, and I can appreciate that." He gestures with a hoof for her to speak.
[21:12] * Green_Field scratches his head, trying to wrap it around the idea. "So, you live in a society that must be made up of all pegasi if it's above the clouds. Pegasi know that other pegasi can choose to go through clouds if they wish, but they didn't have a plan in place to prevent it when one pegasus commits high treason?"
[21:12] <TenMihara> Daisy just listens quietly
[21:12] * Harmony nods. "I needed to guarantee my safety. I realize this method seems... in poor judgement, but after those mercenaries were sent after me-- the ones that nearly killed one of my friends, and placed him in a coma, of which he is still in-- I needed to make sure."
[21:13] <TenMihara> Ratchet nods, "Sounds impressive, but put your caps where your mouth is," he says firmly. He presents her with two assault rifles. "Disassemble these, and use the best parts to make a single weapon. I will evaluate it when you are finished. Timing is important, but keep in mind that doing it right is better than doing it fast."
[21:14] <TenMihara> King Awesome nods, "The Talons we employed are admittedly a bit more barbaric than we usually prefer, but their effectiveness is unquestionable. As well, they were instructed to retrieve you alive."
[21:17] * Harmony sighs. "Regardless. I claim innocence due the events surrounding my servitude; for the abuse that I faced, for the lack of choice that I had, for the ignorance to my contract, and for the actions taken by the Society after I had escaped."
[21:17] <TenMihara> King Awesome notes, "I was also told that your companions were responsible for the deaths of no less than four of their members in return."
[21:17] * Proverb shakes her head at Green_Field. "This all happened way out on the edge of the territory. The prison I was at, I was only going to be in for one day before being moved to Neighvarro to be executed, and there was an armed guard guarding me."
[21:18] <TenMihara> King Awesome waves a hoof, "But that would ultimately be a different matter, and likely in defense of self against a threat that you may not have known did not have lethal intent."
[21:18] * Rime fieldstrips the two assault rifles in a blur, segregating the best parts as she does. Reassembly is less frantic, she wants to make sure everything is well within a very tight tolerance. She bevels the interior bolt, for a cleaner slide. Both bolts were in pretty poor shape. Thirty minutes of adjusting and some light machining go by and she has a very nice assault rifle. Not seeing Ratchet around, she starts reassembling the ca
[21:18] * Razor starts scratching at the ground with her hoofas she waits for Missile_Rush to answer.
[21:19] * Missile_Rush sighs as he lifts his head. "It's because I'd like you to be happy, Razor. I can't help but think upon how unfair a lot of this is to you."
[21:20] <Rime> Not seeing Ratchet around, she starts reassembling the castoffs until he returns.
[21:21] <TenMihara> Ratchet returns to check in and sees that she's finished. "Impressive." He floats the rifle up and inspects it from every angle.
[21:22] * Green_Field sounds genuenly interested despite his confusion and him struggling a bit for belief. "So, for whatever reason, they let you fall through, why weren't they able to catch you?"
[21:23] * Rime has the castoff rifle nearly back together. "This one will still fire, I've seen a lot worse, anyway." It looks a mess, but the bolt slides smoothly.
[21:24] <TenMihara> King Awesome nods, then looks to Gold Filligree, "Would you mind recording this Gold Filligree? Rather than having to call up a scribe and having her repeat herself?"
[21:24] * Proverb grimances. "They did catch me... in a manner of speaking. Shot me in my wing once and in the chest twice." She says. "But they didn't pursue me after I fell through the cloud layer, the cowardly fucks." She sighs. "I know it sounds hard to believe, but that's what happened."
[21:24] <TenMihara> Filligree nods and floats over some writing supplies, taking down the plea.
[21:26] <TenMihara> King Awesome looks to Harmony. "Since the two stallions that you killed are not available to be questioned, I shall call upon the widow of the second stallion to testify."
[21:27] * Harmony winces slightly, but nods. "Very well."
[21:27] <TenMihara> King Awesome bellows to the Servant stallion. "Please summon miss Paper Crane."
[21:27] <TenMihara> The servant stallion jumps a little at being addresses so loudly by King Awesome's awesome voice, but nods and scrambles away.
[21:28] <TenMihara> King Awesome then looks back to Harmony, "In the meantime," he glances at Silver Lining, "would you like your mother to say anything on your behalf?"
[21:29] * Harmony looks to her mother and smiles. "If she wishes to."
[21:30] * Rime smiles confidently. The abused rifles had a lot of good parts. That rifle is absolutely perfect.
[21:30] <Green_Field> "Well, regardless of how or even if it happend, I'm glad you lived to be here. And, from the sounds of it that bastard deserved the bullet right in his brain stem. At least you had the ability to actually avenge some of the things that he did."
[21:31] <Proverb> "But I missed... hit him in the shoulder, not the head."
[21:31] <Proverb> "He's still alive." She snarls.
[21:32] * Razor keeps up the scratching. "Why do you care so much?"
[21:33] <TenMihara> Silver Lining looks a bit bervous at being put on the spot, but steps forward. "Well, my daughter was fathered by the late Nova Burst. I was only seventeen, and had just started my term in the Harem in the hopes of joining the Society sooner."
[21:33] <Green_Field> "I said he deserved it, but not everypony gets what they deserve. At least you can be sure that time with eventually finish the job I suppose. At least you were able to take the shot."
[21:33] * Missile_Rush turns to face Razor more directly. "Do I need a reason to care?"
[21:34] <Green_Field> will*
[21:34] * Proverb nods. "Yeah... I want to go back to Neighvarro eventally... kill the son of a bitch that betrayed me and my friends..."
[21:36] <TenMihara> Ratchet nods. "Impressive work." He sets the finished rifle aside, then brings over a funny looking gadget. "This is a flux regulator. They're used to control the output from magical generators and spark arrays." He states this regardless of whether Rime would have known that already.
[21:36] * Razor looks straight back at Missile_Rush. "Yes. Ponies don't do things for no reason."
[21:38] * Green_Field claps Proverb on the shoulder with a smile. "And, I'll be there to make sure you live through that one too."
[21:38] <TenMihara> Silver lining continues, "I lost out on a year of my contract because of the pregnancy, and had to renew my contract to account for the fact that Harmony had been born. Rather than have her taken from me, her father arranged for her to be placed in the youth care program and educated."
[21:41] * Missile_Rush 's eyes bore into Razor's. "I care because seeing you remind me how nice it feels to care for somepony else just as much as it does to be cared for. I see you with Rime, I saw you with Purple_Kay, and I see you with your companions and friends now. At heart? I think the short answer is that I'm jealous of you."

[21:43] <TenMihara> Ratchet says to Rime, "This one shorted, and I want to see if you can fix it."
[21:44] * Razor stares for a few seconds, incredulous. "...Jealous?"
[21:45] * Rime glances at it. "Oh, yeah, the second relay tripped causing a cascade failure. Probably mis-diagnosed as needing a full overhual right?" She pokes at it with her screwdriver, resetting the relays and getting ship-shape again.
[21:46] <TenMihara> Ratchet's no nonsense work demeanour falters a moment, "Wow... that was quick. I figured you'd at least need ten minutes to find the problem."
[21:46] * Provy smiles at Green. "Thanks Green."
[21:47] * Missile_Rush nods. "Yes. Jealous." He turns away. "You are loved by many ponies, Razor, whether you know it or not. That sort of care isn't something I'm destined to have."
[21:47] * Harmony adds, "It didn't last long." She frowns. "My mother may not know this... but the reason she was forced to choose between banishment or extended servitude-- which I believe was a violation of her contract, simply having a child and being penalized for it-- was because I preferred her to my Father. He was jealous, and for this, he placed me in servitude and relinquished his responsibility over me."
[21:47] * Harmony 's frown deepens. "That was only the beginning though of a series of abuse."
[21:49] * Rime smirks. "What can I say, I'm pretty good at this. RIght, Boss?" Her smile broadens.
[21:49] <Green_Field> "Of course. I know what it's like to have a past that you want gone. At least you were strong enough to not turn to the bottle like I was. Daisy has help with that though." Smiling at Daisy.
[21:52] <TenMihara> Daisy smiles back and nuzzles Green. "You helped me too. Tho much."
[21:52] <TenMihara> Ratchet nods, "Indeed. You certainly have the skills."
[21:53] <TenMihara> Silver Lining nods, "Nova told me that being an illegitimate child could result in Harmony being banished from the Society, and I didn't want her left to wander the wasteland on her own."
[21:53] * Razor rolls her eyes, givng Missile_Rush a forceful prod with her hoof. "Look, Missile, I don't know why you have so many issues, but you need to stop being so... pessimistic. Take what you want! Make the wasteland give you your due!"

[21:58] * Harmony nods. "Also, are there not age limitations on being sent to the harem?"
[21:59] * Proverb playfully pushes Daisy closer to Green_Field, giggling. "And you two are so cute together~"
[22:00] * Green_Field chuckles at all the affection being passed around. "I'd say this calls for a drink, but having just made that point I'll settle on saying that you're a good pony Proverb, regardless of your past." He thinks a moment before chuckling again. "Now, I see why Harmony said I'm the same."
[22:00] <TenMihara> Ratchet nods to Rime, "Now, you are still under the normal age of consent, but between Filligree's recommendation, your skills, and Checklist's approval, you can probably get in."
[22:01] <TenMihara> King Awesome nods. "Seventeen is the required age for consent to the Harem."
[22:01] * Green_Field leans in as he's pushed and smiles. "Thank you."
[22:02] * Proverb giggles, nodding and hopping up next to Daisy.
[22:02] * Rime smiles. "Great. I'd like to get a feel for the work before I sign anything, though. Take a shift, see how it suits me. Ya know?"
[22:03] * Harmony nods. "So then, would you not consider me being sent there an abuse? Especially since I did not know why, and I did not have knowledge of the finite manner of my contract?"
[22:03] * Green_Field chuckles again. "You two are getting along pretty well."
[22:05] * Razor snorts in response. "Boo-fucking-hoo. At least I /try/ to have fun with my life. There's no use thinking about the times you fucked up all the time."
[22:06] * Proverb nods, hugging Daisy. "We're like, BFFs aren't we Daisy?"
[22:06] <TenMihara> Daisy giggles and hugs her back
[22:07] <TenMihara> King Awesome nods, then looks to the entrance as the gentlecolt returns with another earth pony mare dressed in a fine saddle. She looks between the assembled ponies. "Your Highness, I was summoned for an important matter?"
[22:08] * Missile_Rush just glares. "Is that all that life is to you? One enormous game?"
[22:08] <TenMihara> King Awesome looks to the stallion, "Would you please go to the record room and retrieve the contracts for Silver Lining and Harmony please?" The stallion nods and leaves again. He then addresses Papaer Crane, pointing to Harmony, "This mare is the one responsible for your Husband's death, and is pleading her case to me."
[22:11] * Razor glares at Missile_Rush. "Better that than sitting and whining while the wasteland screws you, Missile."
[22:12] <TenMihara> Paper Crane looks to Harmony, her expression even. "I see," is all she says, then waits to be asked something.
[22:13] * Missile_Rush returns Razor's glare. "I don't have to answer to you." He turns back away and says no more for now.
[22:13] * Green_Field sits with a smile on his face. "It's good to see you with a friend, Daisy."

[22:16] * Proverb giggles a little, leaning against Daisy happily.
[22:17] <TenMihara> King Awesome speaks again, this time to Paper Crane. "Your Husband was purportedly responsible for abuses against this mare that drove her to the actions she committed. What say you to that?"
[22:17] * Green_Field sits a moment. "It's been so long since I've had a family."
[22:17] <TenMihara> Paper Crane shakes her head, "I disagree entirely. He occasionally brought mares from the Harem to make some of our nights together more lively, and while he liked it a little rough sometimes, he never took it too far."
[22:19] <TenMihara> King Awesome looks to Harmony, "Tell me what happened on the night you left the Society. What occurred that pushed you over the edge?"
[22:24] * Razor scowls. "If you keep thinking like this, and giving up everything you have for ponies who probably don't even /remember/ you, then the wasteland will kill you, Missile. And everything will be wasted. You'll leave everypony behind."
[22:26] * Harmony frowns. "It was that night that I learned my father's intent... he wanted to make sure that I would never leave servitude. I knew, at that point, contracts are -supposed- to be finite, but he meant to continually extend mine. On that night, I begged Paper Crane's husband to let me go. and that I did not wish to take part in such acts. That did not stop him. He attempted to take what he wanted, and it brought me to attempt my esc
[22:27] * Missile_Rush thinks upon that for a long time, before at last he speaks up. "Perhaps." He turns to Razor. "And now it's my turn to ask /you/, Razor. Why would you care? If what I am is such a waste, a little speck in the wind to be silenced and forgotten, then why do /you/ insist on telling me all this? I've told you what you are to me. What am I to you?"
[22:27] <Harmony> --and it brought me to attempt my escape."
[22:28] * Proverb smiles at Green_Field. "It's a great feeling."
[22:29] <TenMihara> Paper Crane frowns at Harmony, "Are you implying my husband attempted to rape you?"
[22:29] * Green_Field 's smile widens. "Yeah... yeah, it is."
[22:31] * Harmony frowns. "It is not an implication. He did attempt it. I was -forced- into the Harem in the first place. All subsequent acts were, in my opinion. I did not want any of it."
[22:33] <TenMihara> King Awesome looks at Paper Crane, "Was your husband not, at the time, working in the contracts and records department?"
[22:35] <TenMihara> Paper Crane blinks, then frowns. "He was..."
[22:36] * Green_Field stands up. "Well, I should get that hat if I can."
[22:37] <TenMihara> Silver Lining blinks, "That's right. Checklist was his assistant before, and took the position when he died."
[22:37] * Razor gives Missile_Rush a long look. "You're not the waste, what you're /doing/ is the waste." She scratches at the ground with her hoof again. "If you just rolled over and died, then you'd be letting ME down. And if I can stop it, then I will!"
[22:38] * Proverb nods to Green_Field. "I'm gonna go wait for Harmony."
[22:38] * Missile_Rush gives Razor a long, odd look. "Letting /you/ down? How?"
[22:39] <TenMihara> King Awesome looks to Harmony. "When your contract is brought here, I will inspect this. DO you have any other proof of your alleged abuses to offer?"
[22:40] * Harmony shakes her head. "I have not but my word, and that you have heard."
[22:41] <TenMihara> King Awesome nods. Silver lining looks like she could either break down in tears or rip Paper Crane's throat out.
[22:41] * Green_Field nods back to Proverb. "I'm sure she's doing fine. And, it's 'Pinot'." He adds with a chuckle. "We'll join you in a bit. Unless Daisy wants to go with you. I'm going to look around."
[22:41] <TenMihara> Paper Crane does not look happy, but keeps her mouth shut
[22:41] <TenMihara> Daisy tilts her head at Green; "Hat?"
[22:45] <TenMihara> The Servant stallion returns once more with a small folder and presents it to King Awesome. The gold stallion lays the sheets out on a small table near his throne and looks them over.
[22:45] * Green_Field nods. "Yes. To help keep dust and things out of my eyes and for rain."
[22:46] * Rime smiles smugly. Yeah, she aced this.
[22:46] <TenMihara> Daisy nods. "Maketh thenthe."
[22:47] * Razor keeps scratching. "Why don't you think for two seconds? You promised to help me." She hesitates. "How many of us are left, Missile? That's an easy one, you don't even need all four hooves to count it."
[22:47] * Green_Field heads to one of the shops that would sell them, letting Proverb and Daisy do as they will.
[22:48] * Missile_Rush looks to Razor with a sober expression. "Three. As long as Purple Kay is still breathing, he's alive to me."
[22:49] <TenMihara> Ratchet takes Rime back up to Checklist's office. "She's kind of an ace Miss Checklist. She has my confidence." He then heads back down to work.
[22:50] * Rime smiles, but not so widely as to be improper. She stands waiting to be addressed
[22:50] <TenMihara> King Awesome frowns as he looks over the documents. "So, it seems your allegations of contract breaching and tampering were correct. There are a number of provisions that go against my laws for treatment of servants."
[22:50] <TenMihara> Checklist beckons Rime, "Be seated," she says.
[22:50] * Rime takes the offered seat.
[22:52] * Harmony smiles, waiting for a verdict.
[22:52] * Razor frowns. "So you see? You're not allowed to let me down. Got it?"
[22:52] * Proverb heads back to where they had been waiting, nodding to Razor and Missile_Rush, pacing nervously.
[22:53] <TenMihara> King Awesome closes the folder. He looks to Paper Crane, "Your Husband is guilty of contract tampering. As you were not aware of his transgressions, you are dismissed." Paper Crane leaves, not looking too happy. If word got out, she would be disgraced.
[22:55] <TenMihara> King Awesome looks to Harmony. "In light of this, for the charge of breach of endenturement contract, you are clearly not guilty, as the contract was invalid."
[22:55] * Harmony bows her head. "Thank you."
[22:56] <TenMihara> King Awesome frowns. "However, on the charges of two murders and larsony, you remain guilty."
[22:56] <TenMihara> Silver Lining gasps, and begins to cry.
[22:57] <TenMihara> Gold Filligree looks a little uneasy as well, considering she had stuck her neck out.
[22:58] * Harmony blinks, slowly raising her head, eyes wide in worry.
[22:59] * Rime smiles up. Going to get some ability to walk around. Going to find 'Pinot'. Going to get this under wraps. First thing will be to find this Silver LIning pony.
[23:00] <TenMihara> King Awesome stands and speaks with the fullness of his voice. Which is massively impressive. "Harmony, in light of mitigating circumstances, know that I am not without mercy. You are guilty of two murders, and larsony, with the normal punishment for murder being execution. However, instead I proclaim that you are henceforth banished from the Society. In addition, you will pay a fine of Five Thousand Bottlecaps."
[23:01] * Harmony frowns. "And if I do not have that amount...?"
[23:03] * Proverb is pacing up and down the stairs to the 5th floor, biting her lip in worry.
[23:03] <TenMihara> Silver Lining looks to King Awesome, "Perhaps a substitution? My naivity got my daughter into this mess, and I owe it to her to make things right."
[23:06] <TenMihara> Silver Lining looks to Harmony, her eyes still wet and her expression saddened
[23:08] * Harmony shakes her head. "I can pay, just... not all at once." She turns her own pain-filled eyes away from her mother and to King Awesome. "How about I pay over time? I can give you 300 caps now, and I can send in more every few days until I pay off my due."
[23:10] <TenMihara> King Awesome nods, "That would be acceptable." He looks to Silver Lining, "You have been through almost as much as your daughter, and I would not cause you more distress, knowing you will have to be saying goodbye to her as well."
[23:11] * Rime will get her access, and somepony is getting a bed full of C4. Step one of her plan is almost complete!
[23:12] <TenMihara> Silver Lining sighs, then runs up to Harmony and hugs her. "I'm so sorry." She begins to sob over Harmony's shoulder
[23:13] * Green_Field and Daisy make it back to Proverb, passing Razor and Missile_Rush on the way. "Still no word?"
[23:13] * Proverb shakes her head, chewing on her feather. "No..." She's trembling she's so worried.
[23:14] * Harmony hugs her mother tightly, her own tears freely falling. "I-it is not your fault..." She sniffs. "Wh-when is your contract up? O-or... will I be able to see you again?"
[23:16] <TenMihara> King Awesome speaks again. "Silver Lining, your contract is also null and void. As such, you are free to go if you wish. However, you have committed no crimes, and have suffered much as well. Should you wish to, you may join my Society."
[23:16] * Green_Field puts a hoof on Proverb's shoulder to try and calm her. "If it went bad, we would have heard something by now."
[23:16] <TenMihara> Silver Lining just blinks in surprise.
[23:17] * Proverb whimpers, hugging Green_Field. "H-How do you know...?"
[23:18] * Harmony raises an eyebrow. "So... what do you plan to do, Mom?"
[23:19] * Green_Field hugs her back and thinks of how to respond. "Because succeeding means that they have to figure details out, but if she was found out, they would have come out to arrest us already."
[23:20] * Proverb whimpers, not entirely convinced.
[23:20] <TenMihara> Silver Lining looks unsure of herself. "For so long, I wanted a better life. For both of us. I've been here most of my life... but what about you? Can you survive out there? It's so awful in the wasteland."
[23:21] * Razor looks at Proverb and Green_Field. She doesn't like how long it's been either. "If no word in the next few minutes, I'm going looking for them."
[23:22] * Missile_Rush sits silently, looking thoughtful.
[23:22] * Rime continues to give Miss Checklist the biggest polite smile she can.
[23:24] <TenMihara> Checklist looks at Rime, "So, you passed Ratchet's practical evaluation and the interview. All that remains, should you still be willing, it to draw up the contract. There are a few standard terms, and I'm sure you have questions about some of the specifics."
[23:25] * Harmony smiles. "I can survive... with all of the friends I have found, I will be fine. If you would like, you may join us... though it is not always safe."
[23:26] * Proverb chews on her lip, staring at the door, whimpering and waiting for Harmony.
[23:26] <TenMihara> Silver Lining, "I'm glad, but... I'd probably just be a hindrance."
[23:27] * Rime grins. "Yes, I'm really curious if I can try my hoof at it before I put anything to paper. Work a shift. What if my companions /really/ need me before I sign anything... could I go with them and come back to sign? I'm really interested to know the exact terms, Miss."
[23:28] * Harmony nods, giving Silver another tight hug. "...Promise to write?" She smiles.
[23:29] <TenMihara> Checklist nods, "Considering you have completed the primary stages, you could sign the contract at any time. You can't breach a contract you haven't signed."
[23:29] <TenMihara> Checklist notes, "Once it has been drawn up that is."

[23:30] <TenMihara> Silver Lining nods, "Yes, of course. They actually have a few very good couriers among the servants. As well, I could visit. I'm free to take trips any time I want as a Society member."
[23:30] * Rime tilts her head. "So... we can draw it up and have it on file? Then when I'm ready I can just come and sign it and be off to the races?"
[23:31] * Harmony nods, smiling. "Good... Sent it for Logic Gates of the Collegiate, and it will reach me. I promise to do the same."
[23:31] <TenMihara> Checklist nods, "An accurate summation."
[23:32] * Rime grins, scooting up in her chair. "Then let's hammer it out, Miss. I'd like to have it on file."
[23:35] * Green_Field sits against the wall. He's hopeful that it worked out, Harmony is a master negotiator.
[23:35] <TenMihara> Checklist nods. She floats out a quill and what looks like a sheet with some precopied terms on it. "The standard work term is ten years. During that time you will have quarters with the servants, three meals daily, and work eight hour shifts."
[23:37] * Rime nods. That's already seeming pretty generous. She's seen the rooms and eight hour shifts give a lot of free time, really.
[23:37] <TenMihara> Silver Lining sheds a few more tears and nods. "Of course. I'm so glad you came through all right." She hugs her more tightly.
[23:38] <TenMihara> Checklist continues, "You will also have one day off per week of your choosing, except in rare situations where an emergency arises."
[23:38] * Proverb sinks to the foor, chewing on her wing.
[23:39] * Rime continues to nod. "Sounds good so far."
[23:39] * Green_Field sees Proverb chewing her wing. "Be careful doing that."
[23:40] * Proverb whimpers, curling her tail around herself. "B-Bad habit..."
[23:42] * Green_Field sits next to Proverb and pulls her into a one hoofed hug. "You have faith in Harmony right?"
[23:42] * Proverb nods. "I, I'm g-going to marry her... o-of course I do."
[23:44] <Green_Field> "Of course you're going to marry her because she's going to make it work out and come out just fine."
[23:45] * Rime looks over at the paper. "So that the basics, or are there more?"
[23:45] * Proverb nods to Green_Field. "R-Right... of course..."
[23:46] <TenMihara> Checklist nods. "You are not a slave here, although any personal effects you wish to bring iwth you into servitute will have to be approved. Can't have people bringing in hidden weapons or the like. You are not property, but although you are not yet a citizen of the Society, the laws set down my King Awesome will still apply to you."
[23:47] * Rime nods. "Of course, play by the rules, no hidden weapons. Easy peasy."
[23:50] <TenMihara> Checklist nods. "In addition to your assigned duties, if a Society Member asks you to perform a task for them, provided the task does not violate the law or your contract, then you will be required to do as they ask."
[23:51] * Rime nods. "So somepony can grab me and make me fix their sink, but they can't make me play plumber on them. Right?" Maybe a little bit of her base personality is slipping out.
[23:53] * Razor starts scratching at the ground. "Taking too long..."
[23:55] <TenMihara> Checklist nods. "Crude, but accurate."
[23:57] * Rime smiles, blushing a bit. "Pardon my language. So, any way to get time off for excellent work?"
[23:58] <TenMihara> Checklist shakes her head, "No. You work the duration of your shift. If you complete assigned tasks, you will simply be assigned something else. There's always lots of work to do, with or without a specialty."
[23:59] * Rime nods. "Makes sense. I assume with my skillset I would generally be working on maintenance."
[00:00] <TenMihara> Checklist nods, "Yes. Ratchet would be your taskmaster. At least until his own contract expired."
[00:00] * Rime nods. "Sounds acceptable to me. Draw it up, if you would Miss Checklist."
[00:01] <TenMihara> Checklist nods, "Are there any provisions you would like to stipulate?"
[00:01] * Rime tilts her head. "I can make provisions? LIke what do ponies provision?"
[00:03] * Logic is extremely bored. He's damp, cold, and slightly angry. He shakes off, puts on his wet armor, coat, and bag, and tries to find something to draw on.
[00:07] <TenMihara> Checklist nods, "If you posess disabilities, such as missing limbs or a bad eye, you can be eligible for exclusion from certain tasks. Other severe injuries or illnesses also apply. You can also apply for additional work shifts to reduce the overall contract duration. Lastly, you can peg yourself for contract revision upon turning seventeen. This is main used by those who would wish to join the Harem."

[00:09] * Rime shakes her head. "Don't need any of that. I'd be like four years in before I'd be eligible for the harem, and I don't see myself signing up for that. Maybe longer shifts though..."
[00:12] <TenMihara> Checklist nods, "There's twelve hour shifts for an Eight year contract, and Sixteen Hour Shifts for a six year contract. The Sixteen Hour Shift workers are rare, but granted extra priveledges, including an extra day off per week, and an extra meal each day to compensate for the workload."
[00:14] <TenMihara> Checklist adds, "These are all of the most basic contract options. Additional factors exist for endenturement terms with children or a marriage partner, and a few other things you don't have to worry about."
[00:15] * Rime thinks, doing some numbers in her head. "Definately eight hour days. I think downtime is going to be needed to get through. Draw it up and put it on file, if you will Miss Checklist."
[00:16] <TenMihara> Checklist nods and fills in some blanks on the form, then puts it into a folder marked with Rime's name and cutie mark.
[00:17] * Rime smiles. "So I guess that's a no on taking a shift to check? I should think it over and come back with a decision?"
[00:19] <TenMihara> Checklist nods, "You would not be allowed to perform any unsupervised work without first signing the contract, after which you would be bound by it and thereby the laws of the Society."
[00:19] * Rime nods. "I understand. May I be dismissed, Miss?"
[00:20] <TenMihara> Checklist nods, "You may." She slips the folder into a filing cabinet."
[00:21] * Rime stands and curtsies. She heads outside and off to find the group. That... didn't exactly pan out how she'd hoped. Oh well. I can always just sneak a bomb in a bed if need be. Won't be as easy without a cover for being places.
