  5.
  6. HOW TO APPLY FOR A TICKET
  7.
  8. Let’s say you’ve never been to a live in Japan, or want to go see μ's during their final performance and don’t know how. Maybe you don’t know Japanese. I’ve heard/read of a lot of people wondering how to go about getting a ticket. That’s why I created these instructions.
  9.
  10. This document explains: The lottery application method to win a ticket to the live.
  11. This document does not cover: Getting a plane ticket and hotel, which you will have to reserve on your own.
  12. There is no way to know what your chances are of winning a ticket.
  13. Keep in mind though, that Tokyo Dome seats about 55,000 people and we definitely expect that more than 55,000 Blu-Rays were sold.
  14.
  15. First step is you need to purchase the Limited Edition Blu-Ray of the Love Live Movie to get the serial code.
  16. Catalogue number is BXCA-1025.
  17. Don’t buy the regular edition, this does not come with the serial code!! Be careful!!
  18. Can buy from amazon.jp (sold out), HMV jp, cd japan, etc.
  19.
  20. With 1 serial code you can apply for up to 2 tickets each day (total of 4)
  21. You can only use 1 serial code per person. If you try to use more codes they may invalidate your entries.
  22. Application website: http://eplus.jp/lovelive2016/
  23.
  24. -------------------------------------------------------
  25.
  26. STEP 1: Need eplus account. Register if you don’t have an account! There’s a link on the website under step 1. Registration instructions are as below.
  27. Registration steps:
  28. Page 1: Select PC and enter your email address in the field.
  29. Page 2: Terms and Conditions. Just hit the Orange button to continue.
  30. Page 3: Enter user information. You have to enter info where you see the ※
  31. -Name: Last name, First name
  32. -Name (in katakana): Last name, First name – use Japanese input for this
  33. -Phone number – Enter this or a cell phone number below, pick one. Can probably just make it up.
  34. -Cell phone number – see above.
  35. -Email address – already filled in
  36. -Phone mail address – skip
  37. -Sex – First is male, 2nd button is female, pick one
  38. -Date of birth – Enter a year
  39. -What do you want to use as login – choosePCメールアドレス (your email)
  40. -Create Password and Confirm Password – self-explanatory
  41. -Payment method – You have to specify. Choose conbini/ATM option (2nd to last option) in the drop-down box. Don’t choose credit card (2nd option) because eplus doesn’t accept foreign credit cards.
  42. -Receipt method – This is how you want to receive your tickets. First option is (mail) Delivery (choose this option only if you are mailing to your friend or Tenso), second option is ファミリーマート(Family Mart) – Choose this option in most cases. Other 2 options are 7-11 and smart ticket, that is ticket on your smartphone…ignore these.
  43. -Address – Unless you are mailing to a friend or Tenso (see above), then this part doesn’t really matter to you. You have to enter the postal code, prefecture, district, house number, etc. You still have to enter something, just make it up….it doesn’t matter since you likely aren’t getting stuff mailed to you – tickets can be printed out at the convenience store.
  44. Whew! Hit the orange confirmation button to continue!
  45. Page 4: Confirm the info you entered. Then enter your email address and then move the puzzle piece to complete the puzzle.
  46.
  47. STEP 2: Lottery period: 12/15/15 10:00 JST – 1/17/16 23:59 JST
  48. Make sure you don’t miss the deadline, keep in mind this is Japan time!
  49.
  50. STEP 3: Lottery results
  51. The results period is: 1/22/16 13:00 – 1/25/16 21:00 JST
  52. You should get an email with the results but you can also check the eplus website under your account for the results.
  53.
  54. STEP 4: Payment
  55. You need to pay for your ticket and you don’t have a lot of time to do it!
  56. Payment deadline 1/25/16 21:00 JST
  57. Foreign credit cards are NOT accepted for payment for eplus.
  58. Here’s the tricky part. You need to have someone in Japan pay at a convenience store (Family Mart, Lawson, Circle K/Sunkus). Usually this will involve you giving them a code so they can enter it in a machine and then pay for the ticket. They will receive a receipt to keep until it can be redeemed for the actual ticket.
  59.
  60. STEP 5: Receiving the ticket
  61. You can have it delivered to an address in Japan. Or, if you use Tenso (google the website if you don’t know), they create a Japanese address for you and you can send to that, and then have Tenso either ship to your home (if there’s time) or ship to your hotel (if you don’t have time).
  62. There’s an easier way, though, as if you got this far you probably know someone in Japan. Just have the ticket printed at Family Mart, a convenience store.
  63. Tickets can be printed at Family Mart starting 2 weeks before performance.
  64. The information from the payment receipt has to be used at the FamiPort machine (you or the person who helped you pay has to enter a code, IIRC) and then the ticket will print behind the counter and the attendant will give it to you. There’s a small fee. Your seat is randomly determined but will show on the ticket.
  65.
  66. With all that in mind, enter the serial code in the field at the bottom of the page and hit the お申込みへ button to start the application.
  67.
  68. -------------------------------------------------------
  69.
  70. APPLICATION
  71.
  72. The next page shows 2 boxes which look the same for applying but the first is for applying for 3/31 (day 1) and the second is for 4/1 (day 2). You can apply for both days! You just have to do it separately.
  73.
  74. Click on the orange 次へ button in the first box for 3/31 to proceed.
  75. First page lists live information.
  76. Some relevant info:
  77. If you go with a friend’s tickets please stay together as you pass the ticket gates. Your name (or your friend’s name, whoever won the tickets) will be printed on the tickets and there is a random chance they might do an ID check, so bring some form of photo ID with you!
  78. Ticket fee is 9800 yen per ticket plus a 600 yen service fee.
  79. Double check this page that it says 2016/03/31 at the bottom. Curtain raises at 16:00.
  80. Enter the captcha number and then in the pink box at the bottom enter your eplus ID and password.
  81.
  82. On the next page: Here is the actual application.
  83. Go to the drop-down box, select the 03/31 show (there’s only one choice here)
  84. Go to the next drop-down box and select your ticket price 9800 yen (only one choice)
  85. Go to the third drop-down box and select how many tickets you want to apply for (1 or 2)
  86. Next big box below lists how you want to pay and how you want to receive your tickets. I have Family Mart (ファミリーマート) auto-filled from my registration preferences.
  87. Then click on the pink button to continue.
  88.
  89. Next page lists what you selected and asks you to confirm.
  90. For example, I ordered 2 tickets so the total price is 2x 9800 yen.
  91. Note there is an additional system and transfer fee, which are small amounts.
  92. Almost done! Answer the questionnaire at the bottom: just click 同意する radio button to say you agree with the rules.
  93. Then finish by clicking the pink同意して申込み button. You will get a confirmation screen. I would print this just in case, but you should get en email confirmation as well.
  94.
  95. After this you can go back into the original page and put in the serial code again to apply for the 4/1 show the exact same way – just select the 4/1 show this time in the second box.
  96.
  97. Good Luck on your application!
  98.
  99.
  100. -------------------------------------------------------
  101.
  102. In case you do not win a ticket:
  103. There are other ways to obtain a ticket!
  104. 1. Auctions such as Yahoo Auctions Japan. If you choose to go this route you have to use a proxy service (e.g. FromJapan) but keep in mind that you’ll be paying higher prices – sometimes significantly higher prices if you choose to wait until seat assignments are known. Also, since someone else’s name is printed on the ticket, you run the risk of them doing a random ID check on you and being turned away. Yes, Tokyo Dome is a big venue so it’s less likely they’ll do this, but something to keep in mind. NO ONE CAN GUARANTEE YOU WON’T BE ID-CHECKED, DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
  105. 2. Entering a lottery pool with friends who are going to the live. In this scenario, you may not win but your friend does and he/she got 2 tickets so you can use one of them! It’s a pretty foolproof way of getting in.
  106. 3. There are other ways but maybe I’ll let some of you figure that out ;)
