  10. Appearance:
  11. A young girl of average build, Joleyne’s face and hair are seemingly the same as if she were human. Her hair is tied in a ponytail, with a metal band keeping her hair in place & which is connected to a sky blue visor that resembles swimming goggles. This visor can be slid over her eyes, allowing Joleyne to scan an area for specific targets. She has large, round green eyes, with a small mouth and smaller nose, as well as freckles on her cheeks. Joleyne’s ears are covered in large steel headphones, with a red sunburst design on each of them; no visible wires exist for these, for they are her actual ears. From the neck down, however, Joleyne’s body becomes mostly mechanical, made of a sleek powdered steel that seems quite human in shape. Around her mechanical neck, she wears a long green scarf, which surprisingly can do a lot more than just look cool. Joleyne wears a highly typical private school uniform, wearing a white shirt under a navy blue blazer with golden buttons and a coat of arms over her heart, which has an orange shield and has a pair of wings behind a proud boar. With this, Joleyne wears a plaid skirt, colored with dark and light grey, as well as a black set of pants underneath (force of habit). Were these to be burned or torn off, underneath Joleyne’s body is made entirely of the previously mentioned powdered steel, in the basic form of a female body, with a glowing star ruby in the center of her chest. Her fingers are colored grey at the tips, large grey bands cover her wrists, and on her right hand a large spherical red jewel is visible; pressing this allows Joleyne to enter “Scarlet Overdrive”. Her feet are replaced with grey cones almost resembling hooves, with rocket boosters visible on the bottom of them.

  13. Powers and Abilities:
  14. - Cyborg Enhancements
  15. As a cyborg, Joleyne is gifted with several enhancements to make her overall stronger and better. Alongside increasing her speed, strength, endurance, and durability to superhuman levels, the enhancements include:
  16. ~ Joleyne is capable of flying freely, using her rocket feet & hidden rockets in her hands & on her back to help propel herself as needed.
  17. ~ Joleyne can absorb electricity or other easily accessible sources of energy through touch (both with her hands and with her scarf), allowing her to heal herself and power up attacks. Should she be quick and clever enough, and respond to an attack well, this does mean she can absorb an attack that is made of energy (this only applies to non-kinetic projectiles).
  18. ~ Joleyne can easily locate, track, and lock on to targets, using her goggles to help her focus. However, for this to work, Joleyne must first have some sort of data pertaining to them first – such as DNA, a scent, or their spirit energy signature.
  19. ~ Joleyne is capable of using two energy-based weapons, Cinnabar and Cerulean, to fight and defend herself. The abilities of these weapons will be explained in their own section.
  20. ~ Joleyne can enter “Scarlet Overdrive”, which allows her to gain one extra star in all stats for five turns. While it is a useful power, Joleyne can only use it once per fight, with a minimum cooldown of three turns in-between fights.
  21. ~ Joleyne’s body can quickly regenerate, especially when she has access to a power source, thanks to several nanomachines within her. These nanomachines also guarantee she cannot get sick, as well as granting her very high resistances to physical status conditions. She can resist mental effects as well, though not as well, since she still has a human mind.

  33. Standard Equipment:
  34. - Cinnabar & Cerulean
  35. Cinnabar & Cerulean are used to refer to two energy weapons that Joleyne can use, which sometimes are used as dual blades, colored red & blue respectively. Being comprised of energy, the weapons can easily cut through most types of armor, and are unaffected by most energy shields; they can also be powered up by absorbing from different power sources, making whatever few weaknesses they might have be diminished. By locking onto characters, Joleyne is capable of increasing her speed through focus, allowing her attacks to move at extreme speeds. She can also pinpoint weak points more easily when locked on, allowing her to force bleeding that will weaken enemies (obviously, this doesn’t affect enemies who cannot bleed). Cinnabar & Cerulean are shapeshifting tools, and can each become any of the following weapon types:
  36. ~ Sword – The default form. A close-range weapon with no specific advantages or weaknesses other than being easier to use, though when both are blades Joleyne can be a nightmare in close range, hitting with attacks that move with speed equivalent to a star higher. When locked onto a target, Joleyne can hit even faster, adding an extra star of speed to her attacks, and also inducing bleeding that lowers the opponent’s Endurance by one star. Hits with Slash damage.
  37. ~ Axe – A slower close-range weapon that is noticeably stronger, making her attacks feel as though she has one star extra attack. When locked on, causes bleeding that deals Slash damage over time. Hits with Slash damage.
  38. ~ Spear – A more mid-range weapon, which is formed by combining Cinnabar & Cerulean. Is a little harder for Joleyne to use, but the added range can help immensely. When locked on, Joleyne’s spear becomes like a hitscan attack, making it unavoidable (but not unblockable). It will also induce bleeding that lowers Stamina by one star. Hits with Puncture damage.
  39. ~ Pistol – A ranged weapon which is weak, but very fast & easy to use, and fires energy bullets at her foes. If Joleyne can lock on properly, these bullets will act as hitscan projectiles. Hits with Puncture damage.
  40. ~ Cannon – A bulkier ranged weapon which fires a short, but powerful, burst of energy, hitting with one star extra attack. When locked on, the blast can home in on a target. Hits with Fire damage.
  41. Cinnabar and Cerulean should not be treated as ever “running out”, and are generally carried within Joleyne’s wristbands. Should they be knocked out of her hands, they will dissipate, and Joleyne can expend some of her energy to recreate them; as they are made of energy, unprotected hands will also be burned quite badly when others try to hold it.

  44. ~ A turn refers to the time take during a player’s post, which starts when the player posts and lasts until they must post again. As a result, in larger RPs it’s possible for effects based on rounds to last longer, or for cooldowns to take longer.
