aite so ruslan is an emt within ukraine, dude volunteered and worked his way into a paid position after a dozen years of being an unpaid bitch for the federal ukrainian emt system. after working for the federal EMT corps for 15+ years the civil war erupts in 2014 leading to the rise of the war in donbass and ruslan is "deployed" as a humanitarian aid by the ukm alongside doctors without borders into the warzone. for two years ruslan interacted with the populace, both military and civilian, and assisted in medical care. throughout the way he was able to gain personal insight and experience in warsaw firearms and armaments as he worked and slept alongside soldiers. as time goes on ruslan continuously converts further and further into being a base bitch for the kiev funded forces, switching between greasing gats and suctioning airways.

more and more time passes and in the year 2017 ruslan has worked with many different organizations and armed forces, going wherever his medical services are needed, be it seperatist or pro-government. throughout the course of his adventures in donbass ruslan encountered and assisted many less than savory seperatist characters, something that earned a foul reputation within a few private government circles. by the year 2017 ruslan had made his way across all of sevastapol and the donbass, eventually retiring to kiev for a brief spat of r&r. while in kiev word came along thru ruslan's unsavory wartime companions of a way into the zone, an area in desperate need of not only humanitarian but technical assistance, something he was keen to fill the spot for. through not only greed but a lust for experience and the desire to help others, ruslan found his way into the zone with a few of these soldiers and avoided the encroaching eyes of the government. not two days after entering the zone was he picked up and employed by the head kiev research institute zone ecologist, tatarkova, after candidly displaying an adequate ability in both medicine and logistical/technological upkeep
