How did you all enjoy episode 9, "That Parting is Abrupt"?
Chiyori and Eldora always have a slapstick way of talking to each other, but I believe many of us have changed how we view them after this episode.

Chiyori will lose her rights as a Selector after one more battle.
Rather than let her continue her dangerous descent into wixoss, Hitoe decides to reverse her wish and make her forget about wixoss altogether.
And so, Eldora and Chiyori's final battle began.

>(Thanks goodness their opponent wasn't her...)

>Chiyori vs Hitoe, a battle with everything on the line!

>Chiyori: "Chiyori Moonlight Chorizo!"
The battle scene begins with Chiyori's nonsense attack names.
This is the board layout immediately after that attack.

>You can see a "Reinforcement" in Eldora's enerzone, but why...?
Eldora's deck this time contains four each of Restoration and Reinforcement.
By using life bursts and keeping her Life Cloth high, she'll save up enough ener to use Big Bang... or so she thought when making this insane deck concept.

However, Yuzuki's ability is burning ener.
Not only is Big Bang foolish, but using Eldora Mark IV''s ability at the same time is incredibly difficult as it consumes ener.
Without finding a way to attack, the battle enters its second half...

>Chiyori and Eldora's friendship. And then, Chiyori's seriousness
Chiyori went second, and it's her fourth turn.
Eldora begins speaking to Hitoe during her main phase.
She pleads for them to continue being friends with Chiyori even after she loses.
And also that she wishes for Chiyori to stop having Selector battles...

>Eldora: "I want you to stay the way you are forever."
How could Chiyori want to part with Eldora after hearing her feelings?! She searches for a way to win. She uses PLUS RUSH to check the top card of Yuzuki's Live Cloth, and saw that Phantasmal Dragon Tirano had no life burst.
Then she uses Cloth Crush Flash!
Now Yuzuki has lost a Life Cloth! Or so she thought...

>Eldora: "It was pointless..."
As you can see, the level 4 Fire of Nature Yuzuki-4 has a continuous ability to give all of her Life Cloth cards have a Life Burst.

The Art she believed in failed, and she started to feel trapped when Eldora told her that she would lose in 3 turns if she didn't draw Scylla.
By the way, she was including the current turn.

Anyway, she was able to crush at least one Life Cloth with Eldora's attack, but Yuzuki continued to have more Life Cloth than her.

The board at the end of this turn.

Eldora only has two turns remaining.
If she had Scylla then she'd have the slightest chance of a reversal by hitting Life Bursts that got rid of the opponents SIGNI or at least recover each turn... Chiyori has no choice but to wait on that miracle.
She ends her turn, praying that Hitoe won't attack.

>Hitoe: "Orochi, Ekidona, Attack!"

Yuzuki continues to attack without heeding that silent wish.
She uses the art Burning Stone Flame and attacks with Orochi and Ekidona.
The Life Cloth continue to fall.

It returns to Eldora's turn (2 turns left).

>She drew Phantom Water Palace of the Dragon King and Phantom Water Chouan
Without any way to bring back her remaining single Life Cloth, she ends her turn.

>Eldora got rid of one Life Cloth, but victory remains out of sight
And then, Yuzuki's turn.
She crushed her final Life Cloth with her active ability.
Even if Chiyori drew Scylla on her next turn, she no longer has any way to win...

And then, it's Eldora's final turn.
Her final draws were Servant O and Phantom Water Chouan.

Even though her defeat was already assured, she was still unable to draw Scylla.

And though it wasn't shown in the anime, this is the final turn.
She used Firefly Sparks and Rekindling Effort to attack through the gaps on the board, and finally ended the game.

>And next week she moves once more!
The battle ended far too quickly. What will come of Chiyori and Eldora?
Speaking of Eldora, December 20th (Sat) she'll be getting a new card.
By god, it's level 5 Eldora Mark V!

The flavor text is making me cry.
By using her Exceed 2, you can use Restoration to crush two cards in one turn, or other equally crazy strategies, so try to have fun making your own Eldora decks.

And at the very end, we see not Aki-lovely, not Aki-lucky, but Aoi Akira face Ulith.
What is she planning this time?!
