  1. EDITOR'S OPINION
  2.
  3. Ladies and Gentleman, welcome back to The Chronicle .
  4. Yeah, I know, my articles have been quite on a "hold" mode for the past 7 months, but who cares? I know you still love me.
  5.
  6. Well, first of all, I would like to apologize to portuguese people to be writting in english. I know I always wrote my articles in Portuguese, and since the day I promised that this newspaper was coming back, that I've been thinking in english, justo to reach more people. But today, I'm forced to do it.
  7.
  8. The recent events on portuguese politics, that went worldwide famous, made me write this article, because I feel that I, must give an opinion about it.
  9.
  10. But I'll start from the beginning, the title. I'm a huge fan of "House of Cards" (for real), and the recent events remind me of this one scene:
  11.
  12.
  13.
  14. And why do you ask?
  15.
  16. Well, it is world-known that, yesterday, or the day before that, depends on wich time you're reading this, were President Elections on all E-Sim, and in Portugal wasn't different. Of course not. Why would it be? Moving on, we had 4 candidates, and here you can see the results.
  17.
  18.
  19.
  20. As we can see, ★ SouEu won the Presidential Elections.
  21.
  22.
  23.
  24. But wait, lets get some numbers before we move forward.
  25.
  26. Portugal has 290 registered players, and let's assume, they can all vote. We had a total of 108 votes, which means we had 62.76% of abstention but again, we are counting with people on levels lower than 8. The winner of these elections, ★ SouEu , had 56.48% of votes, clearly the winner. Or we thought.
  27.
  28. As the title of this article says, "Democracy is Overrated", so, unhappy that ★ SouEu had won elections, either because it's envy or some personal vendetta, the crew of one of the losers, decided to advance with a Civil War. So far, nothing wrong, except one small and little detail. One of the Campaign Mottos of that candidature, which I will not identify, just kidding, it was Snake1996 's one, was that ★ SouEu wasn't a true portuguese, since he started Suna on Mozambique and kept there until last month, and therefore wasn's a serious candidate to lead Portugal although he's portuguese in real life, it doesn't matter. But, wait, they went to get a portuguese miss, exiled on Bulgaria, to open the Civil War.
  29.
  30.
  31.
  32. Can you already see what's wrong? Exactly, apparently ★ SouEu is a traitor and can't run for elections, but a person, as caterine halder , that already admitted she would leave Portugal after the Civil War, wether the result was - I would show you a print of it but it's in portuguese - is the heroe that Portugal needs.
  33.
  34.
  35.
  36. This wouldn't be a problem in normal occasions, but she brought some friends. The Rebels are so insecure, that they need to bring people from outside to win. And again the proof.
  37.
  38.
  39.
  40.
  41.
  42. Yes, that's right. You can see a GO in there. And why do you ask? Well apparently, some members of Snake1996 's team couldn't had a proper debate so they started to use faulty language on IRC. Now, normal occasions, the current CP bans the molestor for use of improper language. And it happenned that way. Untill, our "latin GO" ★ drakdd arrived. The perpetrator was unbanned, the current CP and vCP were banned. Why? Well ★ drakdd is the owner of the channel and apparently you can't ban members of Blackbird either case, you'll get a GO to support the Rebel side of a Civil War. Even if that GO had another citizenship. So the channel of Portugal isn't ruled by the government but by ★ drakdd . Shame. Appears that we don't need a "Latin GO". We need a "Fair GO".
  43.
  44.
  45.
  46. In my opinion, they're all traitors.
  47.
  48.
  49.
  50. Yours truly
