Born with an alarming facial deformity, Errol grew up the target of jeering and ostracism from the halflings of his town. When he had had quite enough of the abuse, he ran away from home, living in the wilds, and learning from nature the ways of the barbarian. He learned, from this time, an appreciation of the brutal fairness of nature, and seeks to exercise the same fairness in his own life, even coming to resent the unfairness of so-called, " civilized" society.
