  1. [3/13/2015 3:26:01 PM] *** Jim Crane would like to add you on Skype
  2.
  3. Hi MaliceRed, I'd like to add you as a contact. ***
  4. [3/13/2015 3:26:11 PM] *** MaliceRed has shared contact details with Jim Crane. ***
  5. [3/13/2015 3:26:27 PM] Jim Crane: Hey
  6. [3/13/2015 3:26:30 PM] MaliceRed: Hello there.
  7. [3/13/2015 3:26:31 PM] Jim Crane: Roubitte here
  8. [3/13/2015 3:26:54 PM] Jim Crane: How are you?
  9. [3/13/2015 3:27:38 PM] MaliceRed: Very good, I seen your project thread, and I am very impressed with what your offering. It's rare to find someone who respects the Design trade, and even rarer for someone to know what they need.
  10. [3/13/2015 3:28:09 PM] Jim Crane: As they say, pennies don't buy you diamonds
  11. [3/13/2015 3:28:29 PM] Jim Crane: I feel paying someone what they are due, is clearly fair
  12. [3/13/2015 3:30:35 PM] MaliceRed: Yes indeed, that's something that no one seems to understand in the bitcointalk service forums.
  13. [3/13/2015 3:30:59 PM] Jim Crane: Yes people seem very cheap
  14. [3/13/2015 3:31:08 PM] Jim Crane: The site you sent me
  15. [3/13/2015 3:31:15 PM] Jim Crane: You done all the designs from scratch?
  16. [3/13/2015 3:31:49 PM] MaliceRed: Well, clients come in with a vague idea of what they want, and I just bring it into the real world, and polish it.
  17. [3/13/2015 3:32:11 PM] MaliceRed: But yes, from scratch.
  18. [3/13/2015 3:33:27 PM] MaliceRed: It also helps that most clients want to keep up with trends and modern design. That just so happens to be one of my strong points in design.
  19. [3/13/2015 3:33:52 PM] Jim Crane: Ok
  20. [3/13/2015 3:33:57 PM] Jim Crane: well lets start with just the logo
  21. [3/13/2015 3:34:04 PM] Jim Crane: how much do you charge for a logo?
  22. [3/13/2015 3:34:14 PM] Jim Crane: I will transfer that out the funds wallet into a new wallet
  23. [3/13/2015 3:34:18 PM] Jim Crane: waiting for you
  24. [3/13/2015 3:36:15 PM] MaliceRed: Well, for a logo, I normally charge 100 USD, and it typically takes me 3-5 hours to design.
  25. [3/13/2015 3:36:42 PM] Jim Crane: Take a little longer
  26. [3/13/2015 3:36:47 PM] Jim Crane: do something extra special
  27. [3/13/2015 3:36:57 PM] Jim Crane: I will put $175 in a wallet waiting for it
  28. [3/13/2015 3:37:19 PM] MaliceRed: This depends on the complexity of what my client is looking for however. And if they're looking to add more. The process is broken up into what I like to refer to as my 3 design phases.
  29. [3/13/2015 3:38:22 PM] MaliceRed: We begin with the information gathering phase, I take the time to gather what the client is wanting in this brand, and what feels and messages they want to convey. Also preferences of colors and shapes in there too. After we complete that phase we move onto the next.
  30. [3/13/2015 3:39:24 PM] MaliceRed: The drafting phase. This is where I typically make 5/10 drafts or takes on a logo, I present these to the client together, where they can pick out what closely or appeals the best to him. I also take this time to collect any further feedback until a draft is decided on.
  31. [3/13/2015 3:40:13 PM] Jim Crane: That sounds perfect
  32. [3/13/2015 3:40:22 PM] MaliceRed: The last phase is the finalization of the logo, this is where I clean up and polish the logo. Its fairly simple at this point.
  33. [3/13/2015 3:40:52 PM] Jim Crane: ok and how much for this process?
  34. [3/13/2015 3:40:55 PM] Jim Crane: and time taken to complete?
  35. [3/13/2015 3:41:42 PM] MaliceRed: Well, I will charge 100 for this logo, any extra is greatly appreciated, but all of these process are included, and aren't chargable.
  36. [3/13/2015 3:42:19 PM] MaliceRed: The process can take anywhere from 3-24 hours, depends on if I nail the design in the first tries, or takes several to finally reach the point of what you need.
  37. [3/13/2015 3:42:26 PM] Jim Crane: Ok
  38. [3/13/2015 3:43:03 PM] Jim Crane: Shall we start
  39. [3/13/2015 3:43:09 PM] Jim Crane: This Is a brand new wallet
  40. [3/13/2015 3:43:10 PM] Jim Crane: 1GpZ9czfB4AwkbacUtEXoZhU8rURJvsA39
  41. [3/13/2015 3:43:21 PM] Jim Crane: Shall i transfer out $175 into this wallet?
  42. [3/13/2015 3:43:26 PM] Jim Crane: from the main funds wallet?
  43. [3/13/2015 3:44:28 PM] MaliceRed: Yes that's fine.
  44. [3/13/2015 3:45:34 PM] Jim Crane: Sent please check, once complete
  45. [3/13/2015 3:45:37 PM] Jim Crane: will send to you
  46. [3/13/2015 3:45:37 PM] MaliceRed: Normally I do ask for a security deposit, to ensure everything is legitimate, I hope you understand since your forum account is new, and I can't be ensured of anything (Not to insult your trustworthiness) Just a personal policy that I've used with every single client I've worked for.
  47. [3/13/2015 3:45:49 PM] Jim Crane: How much?
  48. [3/13/2015 3:45:53 PM] MaliceRed: 25%
  49. [3/13/2015 3:46:15 PM] Jim Crane: I can give 25% on the inital $100
  50. [3/13/2015 3:46:17 PM] Jim Crane: and the rest after
  51. [3/13/2015 3:46:28 PM] MaliceRed: That will certainly work for the best.
  52. [3/13/2015 3:46:35 PM] MaliceRed: Thank you for understanding my position.
  53. [3/13/2015 3:47:00 PM] MaliceRed: 17gwyNzZytWFMYH8G9zXGFUh9TYUeEtGAY
  54. [3/13/2015 3:47:04 PM] MaliceRed: Here is my wallet.
  55. [3/13/2015 3:47:25 PM | Edited 3:47:39 PM] MaliceRed: While we wait for this, please describe to me any detail what you'd like to see in your brand.
  56. [3/13/2015 3:49:22 PM] Jim Crane: Sent
  57. [3/13/2015 3:49:36 PM] Jim Crane: Ok
  58. [3/13/2015 3:49:42 PM] Jim Crane: I'm starting a roullete site
  59. [3/13/2015 3:49:47 PM] Jim Crane: its for mutiple player tables
  60. [3/13/2015 3:50:05 PM] Jim Crane: I need the logo to be flashy, but proffesional
  61. [3/13/2015 3:50:16 PM] Jim Crane: The site will be based around the logo
  62. [3/13/2015 3:50:40 PM] Jim Crane: The logo needs to be able to be altered easily if it needs to be put into a banner
  63. [3/13/2015 3:50:46 PM] Jim Crane: or a thread post
  64. [3/13/2015 3:50:50 PM] Jim Crane: or a new place of the site
  65. [3/13/2015 3:51:10 PM] Jim Crane: Roubitte
  66. [3/13/2015 3:51:14 PM] Jim Crane: Is the name of the site
  67. [3/13/2015 3:51:20 PM] Jim Crane: so that must consist in the design
  68. [3/13/2015 3:51:29 PM] MaliceRed: I see, that can be done with .ai files.
  69. [3/13/2015 3:52:00 PM] MaliceRed: So with the name Roubitte, it's a combination of Roulette and 'Bits' as in Bitcoin?
  70. [3/13/2015 3:52:04 PM] Jim Crane: Im thinking a red, black and green colour scheme?
  71. [3/13/2015 3:52:08 PM] Jim Crane: Yes correct
  72. [3/13/2015 3:52:21 PM] Jim Crane: Making
  73. [3/13/2015 3:52:26 PM] Jim Crane: Maybe I mean
  74. [3/13/2015 3:52:45 PM] Jim Crane: Something like half a roulette table
  75. [3/13/2015 3:52:48 PM] Jim Crane: turning into a bitcoin
  76. [3/13/2015 3:53:00 PM] Jim Crane: Then Roubitte in nice font
  77. [3/13/2015 3:53:02 PM] Jim Crane: something like this
  78. [3/13/2015 3:53:06 PM] Jim Crane: But go crazy on it
  79. [3/13/2015 3:53:12 PM] Jim Crane: If you feel you can do better
  80. [3/13/2015 3:53:14 PM] Jim Crane: go ahead
  81. [3/13/2015 3:54:06 PM] MaliceRed: I have a lot of ideas on the subject. I will draft everything in black/white, and colors can be decided later, as compositions must look sound in muted colors before actual colors.
  82. [3/13/2015 3:54:23 PM] Jim Crane: Correct, I feel we will work well together
  83. [3/13/2015 3:54:35 PM] Jim Crane: Also, say you take on the whole project
  84. [3/13/2015 3:54:44 PM] Jim Crane: You will be about for the next year or two?
  85. [3/13/2015 3:54:59 PM] Jim Crane: Also
  86. [3/13/2015 3:55:02 PM] MaliceRed: I'm hoping! Haha.
  87. [3/13/2015 3:55:04 PM] Jim Crane: You will need to sign a NDA
  88. [3/13/2015 3:55:08 PM] Jim Crane: is this ok?
  89. [3/13/2015 3:55:19 PM] MaliceRed: Yes, that's perfectly fine.
  90. [3/13/2015 3:55:46 PM] Jim Crane: Great, also how would you like to get paid if we do?
  91. [3/13/2015 3:55:48 PM] Jim Crane: Escrow?
  92. [3/13/2015 3:55:57 PM] Jim Crane: Or you want me to pay you at milestones
  93. [3/13/2015 3:56:01 PM] Jim Crane: like per page or something?
  94. [3/13/2015 3:56:15 PM] MaliceRed: If you prefer to use escrow that's fine, but I'm perfectly fine with milestones too.
  95. [3/13/2015 3:56:53 PM] MaliceRed: Milestones will keep me motivated every step of the way. Not that I have trouble with motivation. It would be a nice change.
  96. [3/13/2015 3:57:24 PM] Jim Crane: Yes, I feel milestones are probably better, sometimes a project can feel like its dragging on
  97. [3/13/2015 3:57:29 PM] Jim Crane: and we don't want that lol
  98. [3/13/2015 3:57:44 PM] MaliceRed: By page and aspect would work. Eg, We start on a homepage, then the next and continue from there.
  99. [3/13/2015 3:57:50 PM] Jim Crane: Yes
  100. [3/13/2015 3:57:54 PM] Jim Crane: most of the pages are easy
  101. [3/13/2015 3:58:02 PM] Jim Crane: the account page
  102. [3/13/2015 3:58:05 PM] Jim Crane: withdrawal page
  103. [3/13/2015 3:58:17 PM] Jim Crane: are pretty much the same
  104. [3/13/2015 3:58:32 PM] Jim Crane: and the site will need a consistant background throughout the site
  105. [3/13/2015 3:58:41 PM] Jim Crane: Its just the home page
  106. [3/13/2015 3:58:48 PM] Jim Crane: and the actually roulette page
  107. [3/13/2015 3:58:55 PM] Jim Crane: I am paying 2.5 for the playing page
  108. [3/13/2015 3:59:02 PM] Jim Crane: but that will go up to around 5 btc
  109. [3/13/2015 3:59:07 PM] Jim Crane: when speaking to the programmer
  110. [3/13/2015 3:59:13 PM] Jim Crane: as I will need a load of tweets
  111. [3/13/2015 3:59:17 PM] Jim Crane: tweeks
  112. [3/13/2015 3:59:27 PM] Jim Crane: and images designed especially for the game
  113. [3/13/2015 3:59:56 PM] Jim Crane: But long story short
  114. [3/13/2015 4:00:15 PM] Jim Crane: Theres up to 25 BTC available just for the design + more in the future
  115. [3/13/2015 4:00:50 PM] Jim Crane: When you have done the logo, I will send the project spect over
  116. [3/13/2015 4:00:56 PM] MaliceRed: I see. Building an interface is very challenging. Would you like to see my latest ui design?
  117. [3/13/2015 4:01:09 PM] Jim Crane: Yes please
  118. [3/13/2015 4:01:46 PM] Jim Crane: The programming will cost 100BTC plus I'm thinking
  119. [3/13/2015 4:01:52 PM] MaliceRed: One sec.
  120. [3/13/2015 4:02:23 PM] MaliceRed: Also, I know of a very talented person who can help, who also has experience in designing casinos and crypto exchanges.
  121. [3/13/2015 4:02:33 PM] MaliceRed: Coding, I mean.
  122. [3/13/2015 4:02:44 PM] Jim Crane: He able to speak over the phone
  123. [3/13/2015 4:02:48 PM] Jim Crane: or maybe even meeting in person?
  124. [3/13/2015 4:03:10 PM] Jim Crane: When the design is done ofcourse
  125. [3/13/2015 4:03:11 PM] MaliceRed: He can speak over the phone, I know for sure.
  126. [3/13/2015 4:03:22 PM] MaliceRed: But he's based in UK, so I'm not sure if you can actually meet him.
  127. [3/13/2015 4:03:32 PM] MaliceRed: Have you heard of someguy123?
  128. [3/13/2015 4:03:35 PM] Jim Crane: I'm willing to fly anywhere
  129. [3/13/2015 4:03:40 PM] Jim Crane: Nope not yet
  130. [3/13/2015 4:03:54 PM] MaliceRed: He's a celebrity somewhat around the bitcoin community, and runs a litecoin blockchain
  131. [3/13/2015 4:04:04 PM] Jim Crane: Oh wow nice
  132. [3/13/2015 4:04:10 PM] Jim Crane: maybe he will take on my project
  133. [3/13/2015 4:04:12 PM] MaliceRed: https://www.litevault.net/
  134. [3/13/2015 4:04:22 PM] MaliceRed: This is his well known project.
  135. [3/13/2015 4:05:21 PM] Jim Crane: Looks very nice
  136. [3/13/2015 4:05:40 PM] Jim Crane: You do this design?
  137. [3/13/2015 4:06:08 PM] MaliceRed: Yes, and including the logo.
  138. [3/13/2015 4:06:22 PM] Jim Crane: Impressive
  139. [3/13/2015 4:06:25 PM] MaliceRed: He's a very close friend, and I designed him a template.
  140. [3/13/2015 4:06:30 PM] MaliceRed: He coded it.
  141. [3/13/2015 4:06:52 PM] Jim Crane: Very good to hear :)
  142. [3/13/2015 4:07:27 PM] Jim Crane: Maybe you can give me a couple different templates of the logo
  143. [3/13/2015 4:07:35 PM] Jim Crane: As I like the plainess of your site
  144. [3/13/2015 4:07:42 PM] Jim Crane: where the logos are not to flashy
  145. [3/13/2015 4:07:48 PM] Jim Crane: But I would also like to see a flashy one
  146. [3/13/2015 4:07:54 PM] Jim Crane: to see the difference
  147. [3/13/2015 4:08:24 PM] MaliceRed: Well, this design is very modern. We mostly use flat elements. As this translates very well cross platform.
  148. [3/13/2015 4:08:34 PM] Jim Crane: Yes I like it
  149. [3/13/2015 4:09:07 PM] MaliceRed: Logos are made flat, and done with simplicity to retain marketing value, and branding potential.
  150. [3/13/2015 4:09:31 PM] Jim Crane: Ok great
  151. [3/13/2015 4:10:06 PM] MaliceRed: This is why we're seeing the trend move away from the skeuomorphism or REALISM and more towards material design and flat design.
  152. [3/13/2015 4:10:23 PM] Jim Crane: Yes that is correct
  153. [3/13/2015 4:10:31 PM] Jim Crane: I see primedice has follow suit
  154. [3/13/2015 4:10:36 PM] Jim Crane: followed
  155. [3/13/2015 4:12:04 PM] MaliceRed: Yes, I created several of their banners. Stunna, the lead was very impressed with flat and material design. He has set a very high bar in design, but ironically if you wish to compete, you may also have to go with a flat design principle.
  156. [3/13/2015 4:12:57 PM] Jim Crane: Need to get with what is in at this current time, and what will potenitally be in sooner or later
  157. [3/13/2015 4:13:02 PM] Jim Crane: I was thinking a flat design
  158. [3/13/2015 4:13:20 PM] Jim Crane: would make the roulette interface eaisier to design and play
  159. [3/13/2015 4:13:40 PM] MaliceRed: It's all about responsive, less is more. And material design.
  160. [3/13/2015 4:13:48 PM] Jim Crane: Correct
  161. [3/13/2015 4:14:17 PM] MaliceRed: Well, I'm going to get started on these drafts. I will report to you as soon as the first draft is completed.
  162. [3/13/2015 4:14:22 PM] Jim Crane: Perfect
  163. [3/13/2015 4:14:27 PM] MaliceRed: I will always be logged into Skype here.
  164. [3/13/2015 4:14:29 PM] Jim Crane: also if you could keep this quiet for now
  165. [3/13/2015 4:14:32 PM] Jim Crane: that would be great
  166. [3/13/2015 4:14:44 PM] MaliceRed: Don't worry, no one will hear of this from me.
  167. [3/13/2015 4:14:58 PM] Jim Crane: Great, don't want anyone stealing the idea
  168. [3/13/2015 4:14:58 PM] Jim Crane: lol
  169. [3/13/2015 4:15:06 PM] Jim Crane: Let me know when draft is done
  170. [3/13/2015 4:15:08 PM] Jim Crane: Thanks again
  171. [3/13/2015 4:15:18 PM] MaliceRed: Rodger Rodger, and not a problem.
  172. [3/13/2015 5:46:45 PM] MaliceRed: Hey there, time for a progress report.
  173. [3/13/2015 5:47:16 PM] Jim Crane: Great
  174. [3/13/2015 5:47:19 PM] MaliceRed: So I'm still working on the first draft, and I think it's a good idea to show you what I have as I'm a few elements away from completing it.
  175. [3/13/2015 5:47:50 PM] Jim Crane: Would love to see
  176. [3/13/2015 5:49:12 PM] MaliceRed: http://i.imgur.com/zuzSaG8.png
  177. [3/13/2015 5:49:40 PM] MaliceRed: The center, we have a shape that I created, and inside it will be a simplified "Dartboard" pattern
  178. [3/13/2015 5:50:16 PM] MaliceRed: The draft isn't done, but I want to show you that I am infact working on it.
  179. [3/13/2015 5:50:33 PM] Jim Crane: Ok glad to know
  180. [3/13/2015 5:50:45 PM] Jim Crane: looking forward to the outcome
  181. [3/13/2015 6:12:41 PM] MaliceRed: Okie dokie, here we go
  182. [3/13/2015 6:12:43 PM] MaliceRed: http://i.imgur.com/U4BCOnc.png
  183. [3/13/2015 6:13:05 PM] MaliceRed: I'd like to explain a bit what I went for here
  184. [3/13/2015 6:14:44 PM] Jim Crane: Go ahead
  185. [3/13/2015 6:17:11 PM] MaliceRed: The colors are muted btw. So obviously, we have a roullete towards the center. But it's also designed on a simple level, as I am taking into account the need for this logo to be able to used on a broad range of mediums. I also factored in that you wanted a sort of symbol for you website, and thus the simplicity of it. Simple but unique shapes make for great personal branding that can span out. The text that you see here is BOLD and SPACED out to add a level of 'Classy'.. However, I opted out of using Serif, and went with Sans-serif to keep modernism in.
  186. [3/13/2015 6:17:27 PM] MaliceRed: With that out of the way, I'd love to hear some feed back on this composition
  187. [3/13/2015 6:20:26 PM] Jim Crane: I like it
  188. [3/13/2015 6:20:33 PM] Jim Crane: is the colour matted?
  189. [3/13/2015 6:20:43 PM] Jim Crane: I would like to see it in colour
  190. [3/13/2015 6:20:45 PM] Jim Crane: but
  191. [3/13/2015 6:20:49 PM] Jim Crane: I like the matted effect also
  192. [3/13/2015 6:21:19 PM] MaliceRed: Sure, let me get this thing with a few color schemes since it sounds like you like it.
  193. [3/13/2015 6:23:12 PM] Jim Crane: Try this
  194. [3/13/2015 6:23:49 PM] Jim Crane: the middle ring between the two rings
  195. [3/13/2015 6:23:53 PM] Jim Crane: not the ring in the middle
  196. [3/13/2015 6:23:58 PM] Jim Crane: But i mean the one in between
  197. [3/13/2015 6:24:05 PM] Jim Crane: Leave the line
  198. [3/13/2015 6:24:13 PM] Jim Crane: but colour half of them red
  199. [3/13/2015 6:24:18 PM] Jim Crane: in that matted colour
  200. [3/13/2015 6:24:20 PM] Jim Crane: like on your webpage
  201. [3/13/2015 6:24:24 PM] Jim Crane: then
  202. [3/13/2015 6:24:27 PM] Jim Crane: then R
  203. [3/13/2015 6:24:33 PM] Jim Crane: as a dark green
  204. [3/13/2015 6:24:41 PM] Jim Crane: then maybe the points a wooded colour
  205. [3/13/2015 6:24:53 PM] Jim Crane: but do the other colours first then we see about the wood colour
  206. [3/13/2015 6:25:19 PM] MaliceRed: Rodger wilco
  207. [3/13/2015 6:25:27 PM] Jim Crane: Thank you
  208. [3/13/2015 6:25:58 PM] Jim Crane: Leave the lines though the same colour which seperate the seperate roulette parts
  209. [3/13/2015 6:30:03 PM] MaliceRed: http://i.imgur.com/0l5no4W.png
  210. [3/13/2015 6:31:39 PM] Jim Crane: OK
  211. [3/13/2015 6:31:42 PM] Jim Crane: and try this
  212. [3/13/2015 6:31:47 PM] Jim Crane: with the font
  213. [3/13/2015 6:31:53 PM] Jim Crane: put the O as the same green also
  214. [3/13/2015 6:34:14 PM] MaliceRed: Which O are you referring to? The middle ring or the innermost ring?
  215. [3/13/2015 6:34:28 PM] Jim Crane: On the font
  216. [3/13/2015 6:34:33 PM] Jim Crane: Roubitte
  217. [3/13/2015 6:35:06 PM] Jim Crane: underneath
  218. [3/13/2015 6:35:48 PM] MaliceRed: http://i.imgur.com/ayQuaPk.png
  219. [3/13/2015 6:36:08 PM] MaliceRed: here's a variation http://i.imgur.com/Fx0QJCX.png
  220. [3/13/2015 6:37:50 PM] Jim Crane: With the red Bit please
  221. [3/13/2015 6:38:15 PM] MaliceRed: You mean make it Green?
  222. [3/13/2015 6:38:41 PM] Jim Crane: http://i.imgur.com/ayQuaPk.png
  223. [3/13/2015 6:38:43 PM] Jim Crane: leave like this
  224. [3/13/2015 6:39:15 PM] MaliceRed: Okie dokie.
  225. [3/13/2015 6:40:41 PM] MaliceRed: With a simplistic logo like this, by simply removing the text, you have a fairly remarkable trademark in essence. Easy to edit, easy to incorporate in the big pictures. EG, maybe you want a video made, this will be easy to animate. It'll all synergize quite nicely if you want to reach out to mobile users.
  226. [3/13/2015 6:42:23 PM] MaliceRed: Another plus, is that this logo will retain it's symbol of your brand even without colors, that is great if you ever have to print this on say letters or business cards.
  227. [3/13/2015 6:43:18 PM] MaliceRed: The cons is that this logo has no realism, some people prefer the 'Good ol fashion' of crazy textures and embosses that would make this look like a real roulette.
  228. [3/13/2015 6:44:32 PM] Jim Crane: Im thinking these days though
  229. [3/13/2015 6:44:46 PM] Jim Crane: serious gamblers don't like all that showy graphics
  230. [3/13/2015 6:44:50 PM] Jim Crane: They like it simple
  231. [3/13/2015 6:44:54 PM] Jim Crane: and straight to the point
  232. [3/13/2015 6:45:10 PM] Jim Crane: I think its why prime dice has done so well
  233. [3/13/2015 6:46:28 PM] MaliceRed: Yes, I've spoken with stunna for an extended period. And what I noticed is that he has a mentality of 'the best design will win'. Compared to past clients, where they don't value design but rather functionality.
  234. [3/13/2015 6:46:39 PM] MaliceRed: I believe "Justdice" is a good example of that concept.
  235. [3/13/2015 6:47:07 PM] MaliceRed: https://just-dice.com/
  236. [3/13/2015 6:47:09 PM] Jim Crane: Correct
  237. [3/13/2015 6:47:37 PM] MaliceRed: They recently had a facelift, but before it was painfully basic with no design aspects at all.
  238. [3/13/2015 6:47:44 PM] MaliceRed: Yet it was and still is popular.
  239. [3/13/2015 6:48:01 PM] Jim Crane: Wow that site is bad
  240. [3/13/2015 6:48:24 PM] MaliceRed: However, it is not 'functionality' that it retains it users, or the fact that they had no design. It was simply a matter of 'They were here first'.
  241. [3/13/2015 6:49:18 PM] Jim Crane: That's true
  242. [3/13/2015 6:49:39 PM] MaliceRed: Stunna's team breached that gap by using popular design concepts like flat design and material design. It is the same advantage that you will need to breach the gap.
  243. [3/13/2015 6:51:27 PM] MaliceRed: Alright, so I'll begin working on a 2nd draft.
  244. [3/13/2015 6:51:47 PM] Jim Crane: Yes I have alot of worked to do
  245. [3/13/2015 6:51:52 PM] Jim Crane: and so do you lol
  246. [3/13/2015 6:51:59 PM] Jim Crane: I like the logo though
  247. [3/13/2015 6:53:09 PM] Jim Crane: I kinda rethinking my whole layout
  248. [3/13/2015 6:53:12 PM] Jim Crane: for the pages now
  249. [3/13/2015 6:53:19 PM] Jim Crane: because of the logo
  250. [3/13/2015 6:58:51 PM] MaliceRed: Hmm. Well. I'm thinking for the pages, we use some good old fashion material design.
  251. [3/13/2015 6:59:00 PM] Jim Crane: Yes
  252. [3/13/2015 6:59:07 PM] Jim Crane: also thinking about a mobile version also
  253. [3/13/2015 6:59:27 PM] MaliceRed: Primedice uses material design. However, most people don't know but primedice actually messes up material design.
  254. [3/13/2015 7:00:33 PM] MaliceRed: There are some elements in their site that does not have consistency. I suspect that someone had influenced the original design over time.
  255. [3/13/2015 7:01:05 PM] Jim Crane: You seem to know your stuff
  256. [3/13/2015 7:01:05 PM] Jim Crane: its good
  257. [3/13/2015 7:02:35 PM] MaliceRed: Thank you! I'm certainly not the best, but I know the basics fairly well.
  258. [3/13/2015 7:02:59 PM] Jim Crane: We shall both learn on this journey
  259. [3/13/2015 7:07:38 PM] MaliceRed: Sounds great, though I am at a advantage, I've taken this journey a few times before! Hahah.
  260. [3/13/2015 7:07:49 PM] Jim Crane: Good to know
  261. [3/13/2015 7:07:50 PM] Jim Crane: lol
  262. [3/13/2015 7:25:12 PM] Jim Crane: I will be back on in the morning
  263. [3/13/2015 7:25:30 PM] MaliceRed: Before you go, I have another draft here I'd like to show you.
  264. [3/13/2015 7:26:11 PM] MaliceRed: http://i.imgur.com/w5kqDg2.png
  265. [3/13/2015 7:27:58 PM] Jim Crane: I like the middle circle
  266. [3/13/2015 7:28:04 PM] Jim Crane: but not the extra circles
  267. [3/13/2015 7:28:14 PM] Jim Crane: makes it look like a dart board
  268. [3/13/2015 7:29:20 PM] MaliceRed: http://i.imgur.com/Wy5bqY8.png
  269. [3/13/2015 7:30:03 PM] Jim Crane: can you add the colours
  270. [3/13/2015 7:30:06 PM] Jim Crane: so I can see better
  271. [3/13/2015 7:30:37 PM] Jim Crane: and maybe outline the middle circle
  272. [3/13/2015 7:30:41 PM] Jim Crane: a dark dark brown
  273. [3/13/2015 7:32:54 PM] Jim Crane: be back in 10 minutes
  274. [3/13/2015 7:46:09 PM] MaliceRed: Here we go
  275. [3/13/2015 7:46:09 PM] MaliceRed: http://i.imgur.com/7tStzAV.png
  276. [3/13/2015 7:50:20 PM] Jim Crane: I think I like the first one better
  277. [3/13/2015 7:50:45 PM] MaliceRed: I hear you, topping that one is a bit tough.
  278. [3/13/2015 7:51:15 PM] MaliceRed: Sometimes, I'll nail a logo on the first try, and making a better one becomes unreasonably difficult.
  279. [3/13/2015 7:52:27 PM] Jim Crane: You done well on the first oner
  280. [3/13/2015 7:52:29 PM] Jim Crane: one
  281. [3/13/2015 7:52:30 PM] Jim Crane: I am off
  282. [3/13/2015 7:52:50 PM] Jim Crane: I can send another $25 now
  283. [3/13/2015 7:52:57 PM] Jim Crane: and the rest when we speak in the morning
  284. [3/13/2015 7:53:00 PM] Jim Crane: and have fully decided
  285. [3/13/2015 7:53:01 PM] Jim Crane: address?
  286. [3/13/2015 7:53:18 PM] MaliceRed: Take care. This will work out nicely. And sure, that address is
  287. [3/13/2015 7:53:20 PM] Jim Crane: and you can start designing the pages tomorrow?
  288. [3/13/2015 7:53:59 PM] MaliceRed: 17gwyNzZytWFMYH8G9zXGFUh9TYUeEtGAY
  289. [3/13/2015 7:54:09 PM] MaliceRed: Yes of course.
  290. [3/13/2015 7:54:39 PM] Jim Crane: Sent
  291. [3/13/2015 7:54:43 PM] Jim Crane: Have a good night
  292. [3/13/2015 7:54:46 PM] Jim Crane: Thanks for tonight
  293. [3/13/2015 7:54:50 PM] Jim Crane: Will speak tomorrow
  294. [3/13/2015 7:54:52 PM] Jim Crane: Goodbye
  295. [3/13/2015 8:09:17 PM] MaliceRed: Goodnight mate.
  296. [3/14/2015 7:04:17 AM] Jim Crane: Hey
  297. [3/14/2015 7:16:45 AM] Jim Crane: Ive decided to redo the whole site
  298. [3/14/2015 7:16:46 AM] Jim Crane: around the logo
  299. [3/14/2015 7:49:41 AM] Jim Crane: http://gyazo.com/19a804f0f055eb9ec217800a69dd7488
  300. [3/14/2015 7:49:48 AM] Jim Crane: Just a quick draw up on paint
  301. [3/14/2015 7:49:51 AM] Jim Crane: of the template
  302. [3/14/2015 7:52:42 AM] Jim Crane: Im thinking that for the home page
  303. [3/14/2015 7:52:45 AM] Jim Crane: straight to the point
  304. [3/14/2015 8:08:05 AM] Jim Crane: All different images per box
  305. [3/14/2015 8:08:09 AM] Jim Crane: custom images please
  306. [3/14/2015 8:08:12 AM] Jim Crane: not found online
  307. [3/14/2015 8:08:27 AM] Jim Crane: The colour scheme needs to match the logo
  308. [3/14/2015 8:08:29 AM] Jim Crane: but
  309. [3/14/2015 8:08:39 AM] Jim Crane: I dont want to many colours on the page
  310. [3/14/2015 8:08:43 AM] Jim Crane: Maybe thinking the base colour
  311. [3/14/2015 8:08:48 AM] Jim Crane: should be that green
  312. [3/14/2015 8:09:09 AM] Jim Crane: Let me know address to send rest of that money to
  313. [3/14/2015 8:10:19 AM] Jim Crane: The green may class with the O in roubitte
  314. [3/14/2015 8:10:27 AM] Jim Crane: so will have to sort thinking out about that
  315. [3/14/2015 8:11:09 AM] Jim Crane: Or Im thinking a real deep purple pattern style
  316. [3/14/2015 8:11:11 AM] Jim Crane: for the back ground
  317. [3/14/2015 12:49:36 PM] MaliceRed: I think I'll design the layout in a way that it'll be easy for you to pick colors, and then I'll suggest some really good ones.
  318. [3/14/2015 1:02:33 PM] MaliceRed: Sorry about that just got in.
  319. [3/15/2015 8:02:25 AM] Jim Crane: Hello
  320. [3/15/2015 8:02:35 AM] MaliceRed: Good morning!
  321. [3/15/2015 8:02:40 AM] Jim Crane: How are you?
  322. [3/15/2015 8:03:02 AM] MaliceRed: I'm doing fantastic, one of those days when I woke up feeling really good, y'know?
  323. [3/15/2015 8:03:07 AM] MaliceRed: How about you?
  324. [3/15/2015 8:03:24 AM] Jim Crane: That's great to hear, nice weather?
  325. [3/15/2015 8:03:31 AM] Jim Crane: Not to bad, tired but good
  326. [3/15/2015 8:03:32 AM] Jim Crane: :)
  327. [3/15/2015 8:03:46 AM] MaliceRed: Beautiful weather over here. I'm based in florida, so it's a bit warm!
  328. [3/15/2015 8:04:08 AM] Jim Crane: Very lucky, they have some beautiful beaches
  329. [3/15/2015 8:04:37 AM] MaliceRed: They're pretty good, though not as good as the beautiful white sands of Puerto rico.
  330. [3/15/2015 8:04:58 AM] MaliceRed: The water is pristine there, and the sands are bone white.
  331. [3/15/2015 8:05:23 AM] Jim Crane: Now that is true
  332. [3/15/2015 8:05:32 AM] Jim Crane: did you get up to any designing yesterday?
  333. [3/15/2015 8:05:50 AM] MaliceRed: Yes I did. I'd like to show you some progress.
  334. [3/15/2015 8:06:01 AM] Jim Crane: Great
  335. [3/15/2015 8:06:03 AM] Jim Crane: would love to see
  336. [3/15/2015 8:06:19 AM] MaliceRed: http://i.imgur.com/Au80r1K.png
  337. [3/15/2015 8:06:25 AM] MaliceRed: Firstly the logo.
  338. [3/15/2015 8:07:17 AM] MaliceRed: The color scheme may not be what you like, but these can be changed. I simplified the design a bit, and made it more relatable to roulettes.
  339. [3/15/2015 8:07:44 AM] Jim Crane: I don't like that at all
  340. [3/15/2015 8:07:56 AM] Jim Crane: I prefer the first logo
  341. [3/15/2015 8:08:10 AM] Jim Crane: its more catchy
  342. [3/15/2015 8:08:38 AM] MaliceRed: Are there specifics that you don't like? Perhaps the over all shape?
  343. [3/15/2015 8:08:48 AM] Jim Crane: Just the look
  344. [3/15/2015 8:08:51 AM] Jim Crane: and feel to it
  345. [3/15/2015 8:08:56 AM] Jim Crane: Doesn't catch my eye
  346. [3/15/2015 8:08:58 AM] Jim Crane: the first logo
  347. [3/15/2015 8:09:03 AM] Jim Crane: the whole image
  348. [3/15/2015 8:09:11 AM] Jim Crane: seemed to match the text
  349. [3/15/2015 8:09:13 AM] Jim Crane: roubitte
  350. [3/15/2015 8:09:21 AM] Jim Crane: on this one is seems abit distant
  351. [3/15/2015 8:09:26 AM] Jim Crane: like they don't merge to well
  352. [3/15/2015 8:09:35 AM] MaliceRed: I see I see, this is very helpful, helps me narrow it down.
  353. [3/15/2015 8:10:00 AM] MaliceRed: Now, could you be referring to the shading? Is that something that you don't find appealing?
  354. [3/15/2015 8:10:19 AM] Jim Crane: Im not sure
  355. [3/15/2015 8:10:25 AM] Jim Crane: but it looks more like a poker or betting chip
  356. [3/15/2015 8:10:29 AM] Jim Crane: than a roulette table
  357. [3/15/2015 8:10:30 AM] Jim Crane: lol
  358. [3/15/2015 8:10:39 AM] Jim Crane: I don't think I like to shading
  359. [3/15/2015 8:10:42 AM] Jim Crane: the
  360. [3/15/2015 8:10:56 AM] MaliceRed: You are correct, looking back on it down, it is passable as a pokerchip.
  361. [3/15/2015 8:11:47 AM] MaliceRed: Well, about the shading, what you're seeing is the design concept of material design. Which simplified, is Flat design with subtle shading. This is sort of what's been really hot, and doesn't look like it will go out of style.
  362. [3/15/2015 8:12:02 AM] Jim Crane: Yes I was thinking this
  363. [3/15/2015 8:12:10 AM] Jim Crane: but I don't think i like the shading on the R
  364. [3/15/2015 8:12:23 AM] Jim Crane: Or
  365. [3/15/2015 8:12:27 AM] Jim Crane: it may just be the design
  366. [3/15/2015 8:12:28 AM] MaliceRed: Mmm, very valuable input.
  367. [3/15/2015 8:12:31 AM] Jim Crane: is there shading
  368. [3/15/2015 8:12:40 AM] Jim Crane: on the first design?
  369. [3/15/2015 8:12:51 AM] MaliceRed: Not at all, since it was sort of a draft.
  370. [3/15/2015 8:12:59 AM] Jim Crane: Maybe put some shade on there
  371. [3/15/2015 8:13:00 AM] MaliceRed: I did plan to apply this style of shading to it.
  372. [3/15/2015 8:13:03 AM] Jim Crane: see what it looks like
  373. [3/15/2015 8:13:09 AM] Jim Crane: As I want you to work from the first
  374. [3/15/2015 8:13:12 AM] Jim Crane: logo design
  375. [3/15/2015 8:13:16 AM] Jim Crane: its the one I like most
  376. [3/15/2015 8:13:24 AM] MaliceRed: Rodger that. Will do, no problem.
  377. [3/15/2015 8:13:32 AM] MaliceRed: Now, let's get into more interesting stuff.
  378. [3/15/2015 8:13:45 AM] Jim Crane: Yes lets
  379. [3/15/2015 8:13:52 AM] Jim Crane: be right back someone at the door
  380. [3/15/2015 8:13:55 AM] MaliceRed: So I recreated your template in photoshop.
  381. [3/15/2015 8:14:01 AM] MaliceRed: And yes, I understand.
  382. [3/15/2015 8:33:08 AM] Jim Crane: Back
  383. [3/15/2015 8:33:12 AM] Jim Crane: Can I see?
  384. [3/15/2015 8:33:18 AM] MaliceRed: Not a problem.
  385. [3/15/2015 8:33:23 AM] MaliceRed: So I have 2 images here.
  386. [3/15/2015 8:33:36 AM] MaliceRed: http://i.imgur.com/SwfkfHm.png
  387. [3/15/2015 8:33:55 AM] MaliceRed: This is a base, based of the template you drew in mspaint.
  388. [3/15/2015 8:34:24 AM] MaliceRed: The logo that I used in there will be changed so don't worry about that.
  389. [3/15/2015 8:34:50 AM] MaliceRed: I wanted you to see the template that you came up with, with a bit more life, y'know?
  390. [3/15/2015 8:34:58 AM] MaliceRed: Now the next image is my take on your layout.
  391. [3/15/2015 8:35:00 AM] Jim Crane: yes

  393. [3/15/2015 8:35:08 AM] Jim Crane: can be changed etc?
  394. [3/15/2015 8:35:11 AM] Jim Crane: Also
  395. [3/15/2015 8:35:13 AM] MaliceRed: Of course.
  396. [3/15/2015 8:35:17 AM] Jim Crane: the boxes can be rounded on the edge
  397. [3/15/2015 8:35:21 AM] Jim Crane: ok
  398. [3/15/2015 8:35:27 AM] MaliceRed: http://i.imgur.com/fmdtKB9.png
  399. [3/15/2015 8:35:32 AM] MaliceRed: First let me show you this one.
  400. [3/15/2015 8:36:09 AM] MaliceRed: What are your first impressions on this?
  401. [3/15/2015 8:36:13 AM] Jim Crane: I like the first one
  402. [3/15/2015 8:36:24 AM] Jim Crane: The second one
  403. [3/15/2015 8:36:32 AM] Jim Crane: I think
  404. [3/15/2015 8:36:46 AM] Jim Crane: Its ok but
  405. [3/15/2015 8:36:59 AM] Jim Crane: I want a simplistic site
  406. [3/15/2015 8:37:06 AM] Jim Crane: I want the logo
  407. [3/15/2015 8:37:10 AM] Jim Crane: and name underneath that
  408. [3/15/2015 8:37:18 AM] Jim Crane: If we can work on the first one
  409. [3/15/2015 8:37:21 AM] Jim Crane: make alot of changes
  410. [3/15/2015 8:37:32 AM] Jim Crane: I think that'll work out
  411. [3/15/2015 8:37:42 AM] Jim Crane: On the second one
  412. [3/15/2015 8:37:47 AM] Jim Crane: you see the bar
  413. [3/15/2015 8:37:52 AM] Jim Crane: with the shadow
  414. [3/15/2015 8:38:02 AM] Jim Crane: I like them sort of bars
  415. [3/15/2015 8:38:05 AM] Jim Crane: but rounded
  416. [3/15/2015 8:38:13 AM] Jim Crane: and a litte more glossed over
  417. [3/15/2015 8:38:19 AM] Jim Crane: Also on the first one
  418. [3/15/2015 8:38:30 AM] Jim Crane: if we can change that to make a pattern with a black background
  419. [3/15/2015 8:38:58 AM] Jim Crane: https://coinroyale.com/
  420. [3/15/2015 8:39:02 AM] Jim Crane: check background on that
  421. [3/15/2015 8:39:08 AM] Jim Crane: but obviously it would have to be alot different
  422. [3/15/2015 8:39:55 AM] MaliceRed: Lots of valuable input.
  423. [3/15/2015 8:40:26 AM] Jim Crane: You see the green and red bars on the side
  424. [3/15/2015 8:40:31 AM] Jim Crane: on the first template
  425. [3/15/2015 8:40:36 AM] Jim Crane: they need to be longer
  426. [3/15/2015 8:40:40 AM] Jim Crane: and closer to the logo
  427. [3/15/2015 8:40:45 AM] Jim Crane: with the first logo you designed
  428. [3/15/2015 8:40:52 AM] Jim Crane: The site will need to match
  429. [3/15/2015 8:40:59 AM] Jim Crane: the colours on the actual first logo
  430. [3/15/2015 8:41:03 AM] Jim Crane: I think they are more bright
  431. [3/15/2015 8:41:06 AM] Jim Crane: and stand out
  432. [3/15/2015 8:41:12 AM] Jim Crane: gives you that happier feeling

  437. [3/15/2015 8:41:47 AM] Jim Crane: touch it up as we go along
  438. [3/15/2015 8:41:51 AM] Jim Crane: if it needs to change
  439. [3/15/2015 8:42:05 AM] MaliceRed: 1MRXBMhLX5fsbsnjVEswepgbLEYPN5Uxh9

  442. [3/15/2015 8:42:37 AM] MaliceRed: Well thanks for all the input, it really helps me narrow it down, but this will be a process. And yes, I'm saving these in PSD, AI, and SVGs

  461. [3/15/2015 8:46:28 AM] Jim Crane: Hmm just thinking
  462. [3/15/2015 8:46:29 AM] MaliceRed: So how are you feeling about the Material design or the shading that I'm using, I need to know if that is a style you want to pursue.
  463. [3/15/2015 8:46:52 AM] Jim Crane: I think its good
  464. [3/15/2015 8:46:57 AM] Jim Crane: could do with a little touch up
  465. [3/15/2015 8:47:08 AM] Jim Crane: and abit less colour clashing
  466. [3/15/2015 8:47:17 AM] Jim Crane: and I think it'll work
  467. [3/15/2015 8:48:11 AM] MaliceRed: I really like it because it adds this sort of 'Smooth' and simplistic feeling, I also like it because it's very modern but with the layouts we can stay unique in it's use.
  468. [3/15/2015 8:48:35 AM] Jim Crane: Perfect
  469. [3/15/2015 8:48:37 AM] MaliceRed: Alright, I will further pursue it and try to find ways of making it look even better.
  470. [3/15/2015 8:48:52 AM] Jim Crane: Think though
  471. [3/15/2015 8:48:55 AM] Jim Crane: the first logo

  473. [3/15/2015 8:49:14 AM] Jim Crane: Im thinking maybe changing something
  474. [3/15/2015 8:49:23 AM] Jim Crane: But do what your doing

  481. [3/15/2015 8:52:36 AM] MaliceRed: Also, I'm terribly sorry for the hastiness of my associate. He doesn't know the specifics, but I explained to him, there are no guarantees. Of course I haven't spoken to him about any specifics. Despite all of that, he does very good webdesign work.
  482. [3/15/2015 8:52:39 AM] MaliceRed: And sure thing.
  483. [3/15/2015 8:53:24 AM] Jim Crane: who's your associate?

  485. [3/15/2015 8:54:26 AM] MaliceRed: I work with 3 specific people, and together we sort of do all our projects together. We've taken on things like exchanges, and security, even app development.
  486. [3/15/2015 8:54:45 AM] Jim Crane: and you've told them about the site?
  487. [3/15/2015 8:54:45 AM] MaliceRed: http://i.imgur.com/ayQuaPk.png
  488. [3/15/2015 8:54:57 AM] MaliceRed: They don't know any specifics like I said.
  489. [3/15/2015 8:55:13 AM] Jim Crane: Lets keep it that way please

  494. [3/15/2015 9:00:20 AM] Jim Crane: Hm ok
  495. [3/15/2015 9:07:21 AM] Jim Crane: Shall we work on each bit together?

  502. [3/15/2015 9:14:18 AM] MaliceRed: Well, what happened was that he saw the Ad for the designer and noticed you would be needing coders. Then he realized that I was the designer and thought he would send a message for when you get to that part of your project.
  503. [3/15/2015 9:14:48 AM] MaliceRed: I got a bit upset at him for being so hasty as you didn't post an ad for the coding yet.
  504. [3/15/2015 9:15:24 AM] Jim Crane: He's from the UK?
  505. [3/15/2015 9:15:37 AM] MaliceRed: Yes, and he works at a design firm.
  506. [3/15/2015 9:16:39 AM] MaliceRed: He's the type of person who would be game for a face to face interview as well. Very professional guy that one.

  517. [3/15/2015 9:30:39 AM] MaliceRed: I was planning on finalizing the logo, but if you'd like to work on the actual homepage immediately that's fine too.
  518. [3/15/2015 9:30:50 AM] Jim Crane: is a tiny bit of shaddow
  519. [3/15/2015 9:30:51 AM] Jim Crane: I think the only thing the logo needs
  520. [3/15/2015 9:31:10 AM] Jim Crane: Yes as I want to know if the logo goes with it

  536. [3/15/2015 9:40:57 AM] MaliceRed: Occasionally, if I need a premade background I go to.. http://subtlepatterns.com/
  537. [3/15/2015 9:42:15 AM] Jim Crane: that background is great
  538. [3/15/2015 9:42:22 AM] Jim Crane: subliminal messaging

  562. [3/15/2015 9:52:49 AM] Jim Crane: What im thinking is
  563. [3/15/2015 9:55:10 AM] Jim Crane: that pattern
  564. [3/15/2015 9:55:38 AM] Jim Crane: leaving the bars a darker grey
  565. [3/15/2015 9:55:53 AM] Jim Crane: Bar at the bottom
  566. [3/15/2015 9:55:57 AM] Jim Crane: needs to be a little smaller

  573. [3/15/2015 9:59:08 AM] Jim Crane: Swirl
  574. [3/15/2015 9:59:21 AM] Jim Crane: Scroll down to bottom
  575. [3/15/2015 10:00:48 AM] Jim Crane: Thats better
  576. [3/15/2015 10:00:53 AM] Jim Crane: you can make is dark?
  577. [3/15/2015 10:00:59 AM] MaliceRed: Yes
  578. [3/15/2015 10:01:26 AM] Jim Crane: darker
  579. [3/15/2015 10:01:27 AM] Jim Crane: like before
  580. [3/15/2015 10:02:04 AM] MaliceRed: Somewhere like that?
  581. [3/15/2015 10:02:13 AM] Jim Crane: tiny tiny tiny bit lighter
  582. [3/15/2015 10:02:47 AM] MaliceRed: How about now?
  583. [3/15/2015 10:03:03 AM] Jim Crane: move the colour picker

  585. [3/15/2015 10:03:26 AM] Jim Crane: and can you make it so
  586. [3/15/2015 10:03:32 AM] Jim Crane: its behind the bars aswell
  587. [3/15/2015 10:03:56 AM] Jim Crane: You think so?
  588. [3/15/2015 10:03:58 AM] MaliceRed: You mean the swirl pattern?
  589. [3/15/2015 10:04:01 AM] Jim Crane: yes
  590. [3/15/2015 10:05:03 AM] MaliceRed: To be humbly honest with you, I don't think that a pattern is suitable for this sort of layout. However, let's try and apply it to the bars, and see how you like it.
  591. [3/15/2015 10:05:27 AM] Jim Crane: You think the other one was better?
  592. [3/15/2015 10:06:11 AM] MaliceRed: Well to answer that question to sound biased or lazy, lets look at a few of the things that the previous composition accomplished.
  593. [3/15/2015 10:07:04 AM] MaliceRed: With that layout, we accomplished simplicity. IThe design was so simple, that anyone could come visit your page, and immediately know how to navigate and what your site was about.
  594. [3/15/2015 10:07:46 AM] MaliceRed: It also accomplished modern design. It's heavily influenced by Flat and material design, so it was very up to speed with the trends of this year.
  595. [3/15/2015 10:07:53 AM] Jim Crane: Because of the background?
  596. [3/15/2015 10:08:13 AM] Jim Crane: Ok lets try that other background again
  597. [3/15/2015 10:08:17 AM] Jim Crane: lets see how its looks
  598. [3/15/2015 10:09:09 AM] MaliceRed: Allow me to give you a bit of my take on backgrounds, and what I know about them. Just so you can understand a bit behind my thought process.
  599. [3/15/2015 10:10:34 AM] MaliceRed: When we apply any style of background, Any prominent ones, we immediately take away from the overall composition of the layout. Users tend to focus on the imagery first. Ontop of that, while modern design does support backgrounds, we must also pay attention to the amount of influence the pattern would make on the colors we use.
  600. [3/15/2015 10:11:03 AM] MaliceRed: So in modern design, we use washed out colors, material and flat design to be specific. We never use true colors.
  601. [3/15/2015 10:11:03 AM] Jim Crane: I understand
  602. [3/15/2015 10:11:23 AM] MaliceRed: Even whites are washed out, this gives the appearance of the 'smooth' that we see on said websites.
  603. [3/15/2015 10:11:24 AM] Jim Crane: Your right
  604. [3/15/2015 10:11:47 AM] Jim Crane: But I do want that sort of smooth look
  605. [3/15/2015 10:11:49 AM] MaliceRed: Now, those are my takes on it, you are paying me, and I will ultimately follow all of your instructions without any objections.
  606. [3/15/2015 10:11:52 AM] Jim Crane: Not to smooth
  607. [3/15/2015 10:11:55 AM] Jim Crane: but not just straight lights
  608. [3/15/2015 10:12:12 AM] Jim Crane: It must have colour blending
  609. [3/15/2015 10:12:49 AM] MaliceRed: Correct, and color blending comes from two contrasting colors, and usually is easy to do with shadows.
  610. [3/15/2015 10:13:22 AM] Jim Crane: Ok
  611. [3/15/2015 10:13:25 AM] Jim Crane: let try the other background
  612. [3/15/2015 10:13:51 AM] MaliceRed: You're talking about the previous swirling background, or the background I used in composition 1?
  613. [3/15/2015 10:14:15 AM] Jim Crane: Im thinking it needs a pattern in the background
  614. [3/15/2015 10:14:20 AM] Jim Crane: even if its discreet
  615. [3/15/2015 10:14:48 AM] Jim Crane: I do like this one though
  616. [3/15/2015 10:15:22 AM] Jim Crane: No
  617. [3/15/2015 10:15:24 AM] Jim Crane: not this one
  618. [3/15/2015 10:15:25 AM] MaliceRed: I'd like to try something out here
  619. [3/15/2015 10:15:38 AM] Jim Crane: I don't like that design at all
  620. [3/15/2015 10:15:39 AM] Jim Crane: sorry
  621. [3/15/2015 10:15:56 AM] Jim Crane: The layout isnt what i want
  622. [3/15/2015 10:16:25 AM] Jim Crane: Leave that background for now
  623. [3/15/2015 10:16:31 AM] Jim Crane: lets work on the tabs
  624. [3/15/2015 10:16:40 AM] Jim Crane: As They are very important
  625. [3/15/2015 10:16:47 AM] Jim Crane: to get the look right
  626. [3/15/2015 10:17:33 AM] Jim Crane: Im thinking darker
  627. [3/15/2015 10:17:35 AM] Jim Crane: greys
  628. [3/15/2015 10:18:24 AM] Jim Crane: Make the light grey box
  629. [3/15/2015 10:18:28 AM] Jim Crane: thinner
  630. [3/15/2015 10:19:04 AM] Jim Crane: Lets sort the bars
  631. [3/15/2015 10:19:09 AM] Jim Crane: at the top first
  632. [3/15/2015 10:20:00 AM] MaliceRed: Right, so what do you want to happen with these guys?
  633. [3/15/2015 10:20:09 AM] Jim Crane: make the light grey one
  634. [3/15/2015 10:20:13 AM] Jim Crane: about half the size
  635. [3/15/2015 10:21:34 AM] MaliceRed: Something like that?
  636. [3/15/2015 10:21:37 AM] Jim Crane: yes
  637. [3/15/2015 10:22:01 AM] Jim Crane: They need to be darker colours
  638. [3/15/2015 10:22:05 AM] Jim Crane: both them boxes
  639. [3/15/2015 10:22:49 AM] Jim Crane: yeap like that
  640. [3/15/2015 10:22:50 AM] Jim Crane: but now
  641. [3/15/2015 10:23:03 AM] Jim Crane: they need to be blended to make the box stand out
  642. [3/15/2015 10:23:12 AM] Jim Crane: Im thinking
  643. [3/15/2015 10:23:19 AM] Jim Crane: maybe a green shaodow
  644. [3/15/2015 10:23:23 AM] Jim Crane: shadow
  645. [3/15/2015 10:23:30 AM] Jim Crane: I would like to see what that looks like
  646. [3/15/2015 10:23:37 AM] Jim Crane: or if it looks to cheap
  647. [3/15/2015 10:26:29 AM] MaliceRed: Are we talking about this sort of shadow?
  648. [3/15/2015 10:26:36 AM] Jim Crane: Yes
  649. [3/15/2015 10:26:42 AM] Jim Crane: and one at the bottom
  650. [3/15/2015 10:26:49 AM] Jim Crane: maybe just a black one at the bottom
  651. [3/15/2015 10:27:25 AM] MaliceRed: That will not cast a shadow unless I cut it into pieces. Should I do that?
  652. [3/15/2015 10:27:48 AM] Jim Crane: can you blend it just into the pattern
  653. [3/15/2015 10:27:59 AM] Jim Crane: like just over 4/5th of the way down
  654. [3/15/2015 10:27:59 AM] Jim Crane: ?
  655. [3/15/2015 10:33:17 AM] MaliceRed: Something a bit like this?
  656. [3/15/2015 10:33:45 AM] Jim Crane: No
  657. [3/15/2015 10:33:52 AM] Jim Crane: the blend is to obvious
  658. [3/15/2015 10:34:22 AM] Jim Crane: put the circles behind
  659. [3/15/2015 10:34:25 AM] Jim Crane: those bars aswell
  660. [3/15/2015 10:36:24 AM] Jim Crane: and the top bar?
  661. [3/15/2015 10:37:42 AM] Jim Crane: zoom all the way out sO i can see
  662. [3/15/2015 10:37:44 AM] Jim Crane: thanks
  663. [3/15/2015 10:37:57 AM] Jim Crane: Why are those white lines there
  664. [3/15/2015 10:38:02 AM] Jim Crane: on one of the bards??
  665. [3/15/2015 10:39:21 AM] Jim Crane: needs to be pixel perfect
  666. [3/15/2015 10:39:37 AM] MaliceRed: Hang on a sec. Got to figure out where the issue is.
  667. [3/15/2015 10:41:27 AM] Jim Crane: its slanted a little
  668. [3/15/2015 10:41:47 AM] MaliceRed: Don't worry, sometimes this happens
  669. [3/15/2015 10:41:55 AM] MaliceRed: It's only an issue with masking.
  670. [3/15/2015 10:42:24 AM] Jim Crane: theres some pixels out though
  671. [3/15/2015 10:44:37 AM] Jim Crane: its not straight at the top
  672. [3/15/2015 10:47:40 AM] Jim Crane: still not straight
  673. [3/15/2015 10:47:55 AM] MaliceRed: This sometimes happens because photoshop is not a vector based editor like illustrator.
  674. [3/15/2015 10:50:42 AM] MaliceRed: Sorry about that.
  675. [3/15/2015 10:50:46 AM] Jim Crane: :)
  676. [3/15/2015 10:50:46 AM] MaliceRed: Problem solved.
  677. [3/15/2015 10:51:02 AM] MaliceRed: Sometimes when you draw a vector, photoshop makes it align to pixels.
  678. [3/15/2015 10:51:04 AM] Jim Crane: Im thinking no green shadow
  679. [3/15/2015 10:51:14 AM] Jim Crane: maybe just a dark shadow
  680. [3/15/2015 10:51:16 AM] Jim Crane: or
  681. [3/15/2015 10:51:23 AM] Jim Crane: either a green to match the logo
  682. [3/15/2015 10:52:26 AM] Jim Crane: swirls need to be a little more veiwable
  683. [3/15/2015 10:52:28 AM] Jim Crane: on the top bar
  684. [3/15/2015 10:53:42 AM] Jim Crane: Yes
  685. [3/15/2015 10:53:50 AM] Jim Crane: Darker shadow
  686. [3/15/2015 10:53:57 AM] Jim Crane: makes it looke like a corridor
  687. [3/15/2015 10:54:25 AM] Jim Crane: Yes
  688. [3/15/2015 10:54:30 AM] Jim Crane: thats better
  689. [3/15/2015 10:54:32 AM] Jim Crane: actually
  690. [3/15/2015 10:54:33 AM] Jim Crane: lol
  691. [3/15/2015 10:55:14 AM] Jim Crane: like that
  692. [3/15/2015 10:55:14 AM] Jim Crane: before
  693. [3/15/2015 10:55:15 AM] Jim Crane: that
  694. [3/15/2015 10:55:46 AM] Jim Crane: thats good
  695. [3/15/2015 10:56:42 AM] Jim Crane: That fill
  696. [3/15/2015 10:56:55 AM] Jim Crane: does it work?
  697. [3/15/2015 10:58:29 AM] MaliceRed: It's really good to organize haha.
  698. [3/15/2015 10:58:33 AM] Jim Crane: :P
  699. [3/15/2015 10:58:52 AM] Jim Crane: can you zoom all the way out?
  700. [3/15/2015 10:59:42 AM] Jim Crane: Great and the top boar
  701. [3/15/2015 10:59:48 AM] Jim Crane: you can do that type of shadow
  702. [3/15/2015 10:59:55 AM] Jim Crane: on the bar underneath?
  703. [3/15/2015 11:00:15 AM] Jim Crane: very subtle though
  704. [3/15/2015 11:00:17 AM] Jim Crane: not so much
  705. [3/15/2015 11:02:03 AM] Jim Crane: yes
  706. [3/15/2015 11:02:06 AM] Jim Crane: thats good
  707. [3/15/2015 11:02:10 AM] Jim Crane: but make the top bar
  708. [3/15/2015 11:02:15 AM] Jim Crane: less opaque
  709. [3/15/2015 11:02:52 AM] Jim Crane: the swirls
  710. [3/15/2015 11:02:56 AM] Jim Crane: so you can see them more
  711. [3/15/2015 11:03:37 AM] MaliceRed: More?
  712. [3/15/2015 11:03:46 AM] Jim Crane: No
  713. [3/15/2015 11:03:53 AM] Jim Crane: i tink thats fine
  714. [3/15/2015 11:04:11 AM] Jim Crane: looking good so far i reckon
  715. [3/15/2015 11:04:14 AM] Jim Crane: what do you think?
  716. [3/15/2015 11:04:33 AM] MaliceRed: Awesome :D
  717. [3/15/2015 11:05:23 AM] Jim Crane: Shall we sort the bottom bar first?
  718. [3/15/2015 11:05:30 AM] Jim Crane: on the bottom of the page
  719. [3/15/2015 11:05:30 AM] MaliceRed: Sure.
  720. [3/15/2015 11:05:36 AM] MaliceRed: Hang on, I'

  727. [3/15/2015 11:35:29 AM] MaliceRed: Awesome.
  728. [3/15/2015 11:35:37 AM] MaliceRed: I believe you can reconnect with the same creds
  729. [3/15/2015 11:35:52 AM] MaliceRed: password is 5483

  731. [3/15/2015 11:36:45 AM] MaliceRed: Okay, so
  732. [3/15/2015 11:36:53 AM] MaliceRed: You wanted to work for the footer next, right?
  733. [3/15/2015 11:37:12 AM] Jim Crane: yes
  734. [3/15/2015 11:37:50 AM] Jim Crane: same colour
  735. [3/15/2015 11:37:50 AM] Jim Crane: as the top bar
  736. [3/15/2015 11:38:09 AM] Jim Crane: abit smaller
  737. [3/15/2015 11:38:12 AM] Jim Crane: footer
  738. [3/15/2015 11:39:25 AM] Jim Crane: can we zoom out
  739. [3/15/2015 11:39:39 AM] Jim Crane: same opaque % aswell please
  740. [3/15/2015 11:39:49 AM] MaliceRed: With the pattern?
  741. [3/15/2015 11:39:57 AM] Jim Crane: yes
  742. [3/15/2015 11:40:18 AM] Jim Crane: same shadow effect as top bar also
  743. [3/15/2015 11:43:07 AM] MaliceRed: How is that?
  744. [3/15/2015 11:43:16 AM] Jim Crane: the top bar
  745. [3/15/2015 11:43:20 AM] Jim Crane: not the second top bar
  746. [3/15/2015 11:44:30 AM] MaliceRed: The top bar as in the navbar correct?
  747. [3/15/2015 11:44:33 AM] Jim Crane: yes
  748. [3/15/2015 11:44:41 AM] MaliceRed: Okay, yeah, it's the same.
  749. [3/15/2015 11:45:00 AM] MaliceRed: The composition gives an optical illusion which makes it seem like its a lot different
  750. [3/15/2015 11:45:49 AM] MaliceRed: But if you see here. when we put the next together, they are actually the same color and opacity
  751. [3/15/2015 11:45:51 AM] Jim Crane: ok maybe make shadow a little less
  752. [3/15/2015 11:47:04 AM] MaliceRed: Something like that?
  753. [3/15/2015 11:47:16 AM] Jim Crane: zoom all the way out
  754. [3/15/2015 11:47:35 AM] Jim Crane: better
  755. [3/15/2015 11:48:28 AM] MaliceRed: Alrighty then. I guess we'll move onto the game tabs.
  756. [3/15/2015 11:48:55 AM] Jim Crane: Ok
  757. [3/15/2015 11:49:02 AM] Jim Crane: and you'll do the images later?
  758. [3/15/2015 11:49:04 AM] MaliceRed: Rounded boxes?
  759. [3/15/2015 11:49:08 AM] Jim Crane: yes
  760. [3/15/2015 11:49:30 AM] MaliceRed: I can do it if you don't mind compensating me a bit extra.
  761. [3/15/2015 11:50:09 AM] Jim Crane: depends how good the images are lol
  762. [3/15/2015 11:51:03 AM] MaliceRed: Well, if you tell me to make an illustration of a say, roulette table, I'd do it in my normal style, ofc would try to fit it in with the rest of this composition.
  763. [3/15/2015 11:51:18 AM] MaliceRed: Just a headsup, those take a little time to get correct.
  764. [3/15/2015 11:51:40 AM] Jim Crane: It says in my topic thread
  765. [3/15/2015 11:51:52 AM] Jim Crane: That custom images must be created
  766. [3/15/2015 11:52:36 AM] MaliceRed: A quick question, this homepage you will be paying with 2.5 btc?
  767. [3/15/2015 11:52:46 AM] Jim Crane: 2
  768. [3/15/2015 11:53:08 AM] MaliceRed: One sec here, just want to see if I misread.
  769. [3/15/2015 11:54:43 AM] MaliceRed: Jeez
  770. [3/15/2015 11:54:43 AM] Jim Crane: Its 2.5 for the games page
  771. [3/15/2015 11:54:49 AM] MaliceRed: I'm really bad at this haha.
  772. [3/15/2015 11:56:06 AM] MaliceRed: Yeah, I wasn't sure because I thought the game page and homepage were the same. My mistake.
  773. [3/15/2015 11:56:18 AM] MaliceRed: No, I'll create the images, no problem.
  774. [3/15/2015 11:56:29 AM] Jim Crane: Ok
  775. [3/15/2015 11:56:34 AM] Jim Crane: they need to match the whole logo
  776. [3/15/2015 11:56:37 AM] Jim Crane: and weblayout
  777. [3/15/2015 11:56:42 AM] Jim Crane: but be eye catching
  778. [3/15/2015 11:57:00 AM] Jim Crane: shall we position the boxes?
  779. [3/15/2015 11:57:05 AM] MaliceRed: Yeah.
  780. [3/15/2015 11:58:35 AM] MaliceRed: Somewhere towards here.
  781. [3/15/2015 11:58:43 AM] Jim Crane: No
  782. [3/15/2015 11:58:47 AM] Jim Crane: abit lower
  783. [3/15/2015 11:58:59 AM] MaliceRed: When the website is actually coded, it will be responsive, so all this space here can be sort of removed.
  784. [3/15/2015 12:00:00 PM] Jim Crane: ok
  785. [3/15/2015 12:00:50 PM] MaliceRed: How about the size and shape?
  786. [3/15/2015 12:01:02 PM] Jim Crane: Looks good
  787. [3/15/2015 12:01:33 PM] Jim Crane: closer together
  788. [3/15/2015 12:01:35 PM] Jim Crane: lets see
  789. [3/15/2015 12:02:01 PM] Jim Crane: Yes that looks good
  790. [3/15/2015 12:03:52 PM] MaliceRed: About the same effect from the navbar, how do you feel about it?
  791. [3/15/2015 12:04:27 PM] Jim Crane: needs to be more bold
  792. [3/15/2015 12:04:42 PM] Jim Crane: Maybe a different colour shadow for each one
  793. [3/15/2015 12:04:53 PM] Jim Crane: EU roulette green
  794. [3/15/2015 12:04:56 PM] Jim Crane: American red
  795. [3/15/2015 12:05:05 PM] Jim Crane: High stake purple
  796. [3/15/2015 12:05:50 PM] Jim Crane: same green
  797. [3/15/2015 12:05:52 PM] Jim Crane: as the logo
  798. [3/15/2015 12:06:21 PM] Jim Crane: I want the shadow
  799. [3/15/2015 12:06:26 PM] Jim Crane: to be all around
  800. [3/15/2015 12:06:29 PM] Jim Crane: bigger
  801. [3/15/2015 12:06:53 PM] Jim Crane: yes
  802. [3/15/2015 12:06:55 PM] Jim Crane: now try the rest
  803. [3/15/2015 12:07:09 PM] MaliceRed: Okay one moment.
  804. [3/15/2015 12:08:53 PM] MaliceRed: Sorry about that.
  805. [3/15/2015 12:09:22 PM] Jim Crane: IS that the same green?
  806. [3/15/2015 12:09:24 PM] Jim Crane: as the logo?

  816. [3/15/2015 12:11:17 PM] MaliceRed: The red and green are sampled directly from the logo.
  817. [3/15/2015 12:11:23 PM] MaliceRed: Those are the colors for sure.
  818. [3/15/2015 12:11:47 PM] MaliceRed: What color for multiplayer

  848. [3/15/2015 12:36:14 PM] MaliceRed: It's called a ghost box, and it's what most modern browers use with buttons or important information
  849. [3/15/2015 12:36:27 PM] Jim Crane: CAn you show example on other site
  850. [3/15/2015 12:36:28 PM] Jim Crane: also

  853. [3/15/2015 12:40:08 PM] MaliceRed: A decent number of sites use the ghost button concept
  854. [3/15/2015 12:40:13 PM] MaliceRed: However if you don't like it
  855. [3/15/2015 12:40:22 PM] MaliceRed: Solid color, rounded we can do

  871. [3/15/2015 12:49:38 PM] Jim Crane: What do you think?
  872. [3/15/2015 12:50:32 PM] MaliceRed: I think that what you're thinking could work.
  873. [3/15/2015 12:50:34 PM] Jim Crane: those colours gone weird again
  874. [3/15/2015 12:51:27 PM] MaliceRed: What do you mean?

  879. [3/15/2015 12:52:26 PM] Jim Crane: ah ok
  880. [3/15/2015 12:52:49 PM] Jim Crane: Thanks

  885. [3/15/2015 12:54:06 PM] Jim Crane: with blue writing
  886. [3/15/2015 12:56:10 PM] Jim Crane: yes
  887. [3/15/2015 12:56:13 PM] Jim Crane: spot on
  888. [3/15/2015 12:56:28 PM] Jim Crane: same for the hot numbers also

  898. [3/15/2015 12:59:24 PM] Jim Crane: Make the box green please
  899. [3/15/2015 12:59:27 PM] Jim Crane: same as logo
  900. [3/15/2015 12:59:50 PM] Jim Crane: Add a little shadow
  901. [3/15/2015 1:01:44 PM] Jim Crane: Samller font?
  902. [3/15/2015 1:01:50 PM] Jim Crane: Or longer green box

  910. [3/15/2015 1:04:26 PM] Jim Crane: or what you think?
  911. [3/15/2015 1:04:53 PM] MaliceRed: Maybe we should do this
  912. [3/15/2015 1:05:35 PM] Jim Crane: Login Green
  913. [3/15/2015 1:05:39 PM] Jim Crane: and register blue
  914. [3/15/2015 1:05:44 PM] Jim Crane: actually no
  915. [3/15/2015 1:06:09 PM] Jim Crane: Zoom out please
  916. [3/15/2015 1:06:22 PM] Jim Crane: I just dont think the login buttong soon associate with red
  917. [3/15/2015 1:06:53 PM] MaliceRed: We could make it blue
  918. [3/15/2015 1:06:56 PM] MaliceRed: Then again
  919. [3/15/2015 1:07:08 PM] MaliceRed: Red and green, that's the roulette colors right?
  920. [3/15/2015 1:07:22 PM] Jim Crane: Yes
  921. [3/15/2015 1:07:28 PM] Jim Crane: I reckon leave the login
  922. [3/15/2015 1:07:31 PM] Jim Crane: No back ground
  923. [3/15/2015 1:07:32 PM] Jim Crane: just text
  924. [3/15/2015 1:09:24 PM] Jim Crane: Yes
  925. [3/15/2015 1:09:24 PM] Jim Crane: like that
  926. [3/15/2015 1:10:22 PM] Jim Crane: Im thinking
  927. [3/15/2015 1:10:24 PM] Jim Crane: the circles
  928. [3/15/2015 1:10:26 PM] Jim Crane: in the background
  929. [3/15/2015 1:10:31 PM] Jim Crane: should show a little more
  930. [3/15/2015 1:12:12 PM] Jim Crane: zoom out
  931. [3/15/2015 1:12:56 PM] Jim Crane: I like the blackness of the orginal one
  932. [3/15/2015 1:13:03 PM] Jim Crane: just wanted to see the circles more
  933. [3/15/2015 1:14:14 PM] Jim Crane: also
  934. [3/15/2015 1:14:21 PM] Jim Crane: Yes
  935. [3/15/2015 1:15:03 PM] Jim Crane: hmm
  936. [3/15/2015 1:15:06 PM] Jim Crane: mayb not so much
  937. [3/15/2015 1:15:53 PM] MaliceRed: How about that
  938. [3/15/2015 1:15:53 PM] Jim Crane: abit lighter
  939. [3/15/2015 1:16:17 PM] MaliceRed: That's as light as it'll get without being restored
  940. [3/15/2015 1:16:28 PM] Jim Crane: can we do is this way
  941. [3/15/2015 1:16:35 PM] Jim Crane: the inside of the circle is black
  942. [3/15/2015 1:16:38 PM] Jim Crane: and the outside
  943. [3/15/2015 1:16:42 PM] Jim Crane: is grey
  944. [3/15/2015 1:16:44 PM] Jim Crane: so opposite?
  945. [3/15/2015 1:18:37 PM] Jim Crane: What do you think?
  946. [3/15/2015 1:19:11 PM] MaliceRed: I am conflicted.
  947. [3/15/2015 1:19:55 PM] MaliceRed: I don't want to offend nor do I want to talk down to you, y'know? But I don't want to tell you that you're wrong either.
  948. [3/15/2015 1:20:17 PM] Jim Crane: Conflicted with?
  949. [3/15/2015 1:20:43 PM] MaliceRed: I feel, that if this is the design that you should roll with, I think you should do it.
  950. [3/15/2015 1:21:07 PM] MaliceRed: Like if this is what you want. You should go with it.
  951. [3/15/2015 1:21:16 PM] MaliceRed: I'm basically the hands, and you're the brains.
  952. [3/15/2015 1:21:53 PM] MaliceRed: But as someone who does this for a living, I really don't think it's going to work out.
  953. [3/15/2015 1:22:06 PM] MaliceRed: These are the two things I'm conflicted with, you know?
  954. [3/15/2015 1:22:18 PM] Jim Crane: What needs changing?
  955. [3/15/2015 1:23:16 PM] MaliceRed: You should go with your gut. But I think everything should change. Layout, Colors, Everything.
  956. [3/15/2015 1:23:40 PM] MaliceRed: You have to consider, you're competeing with primedice and other casinos.
  957. [3/15/2015 1:24:09 PM] MaliceRed: I'd be a terrible designer if I didn't tell you these things.
  958. [3/15/2015 1:24:40 PM] MaliceRed: Of course, as always, you are the lead, this is your magic kingdom.
  959. [3/15/2015 1:24:44 PM] Jim Crane: Ok you design something
  960. [3/15/2015 1:24:46 PM] Jim Crane: and let me know
  961. [3/15/2015 1:25:05 PM] MaliceRed: I did, and you didn't like it very much.
  962. [3/15/2015 1:25:28 PM] Jim Crane: Yea it wasn't really competeing either though
  963. [3/15/2015 1:26:40 PM] MaliceRed: I understand that's how you feel. But I really feel that I have enough experience to be able to tell if things will be good for the users.
  964. [3/15/2015 1:27:28 PM] MaliceRed: But look man, please don't get offended, I am giving you real constructive criticism, you need this if you want your business to thrive.
  965. [3/15/2015 1:27:42 PM] MaliceRed: The layout is unique.
  966. [3/15/2015 1:28:35 PM] MaliceRed: But it lacks character, and has bad ui principles. No one uses glows out of the box like that.
  967. [3/15/2015 1:28:45 PM] MaliceRed: Perhaps, you can have a faint glow when hovered.
  968. [3/15/2015 1:28:53 PM] Jim Crane: Yea I don't really like that either
  969. [3/15/2015 1:29:03 PM] Jim Crane: But Im finding it hard to explain what I exactly want
  970. [3/15/2015 1:29:23 PM] MaliceRed: I know man, I was at where you're at right now in terms of design.
  971. [3/15/2015 1:30:03 PM] Jim Crane: I know what I want I just don't know the termanology
  972. [3/15/2015 1:30:13 PM] MaliceRed: Would you like to see some of my UI projects, maybe get some inspiration?
  973. [3/15/2015 1:30:27 PM] Jim Crane: ok
  974. [3/15/2015 1:30:49 PM] Jim Crane: But the sites you showed me werent up to the calibar of your own site
  975. [3/15/2015 1:32:03 PM] MaliceRed: This is a sort of work in progress, I was given free reign of the design.. It's for a uh.. It's like a tor client that pays your btc for running exit nodes.
  976. [3/15/2015 1:33:17 PM] Jim Crane: That's nicer
  977. [3/15/2015 1:35:21 PM] MaliceRed: This is a social app, sort of a personal project
  978. [3/15/2015 1:35:35 PM] MaliceRed: Everything just messed up when I loaded it without all of the fonts
  979. [3/15/2015 1:35:49 PM] Jim Crane: Nice
  980. [3/15/2015 1:36:40 PM] MaliceRed: The point that I'm trying to illustrate, is that I've done research and classes you know? I have experience in design interfaces.
  981. [3/15/2015 1:37:03 PM] MaliceRed: But Let's try to improve your layout
  982. [3/15/2015 1:37:57 PM] Jim Crane: You have me second guessing it now
  983. [3/15/2015 1:38:05 PM] MaliceRed: I'm so sorry man.
  984. [3/15/2015 1:38:23 PM] MaliceRed: I don't want you to doubt yourself y'know.
  985. [3/15/2015 1:39:00 PM] MaliceRed: But I want your project to succeed, I want to be a guy who can say, that brilliant and successful gambling site? Yeah, I helped made it.
  986. [3/15/2015 1:40:36 PM] MaliceRed: I know you hate my layout, but if you could give me a chance to improve it, I know now the things you are looking for, I didn't before.
  987. [3/15/2015 1:41:21 PM] MaliceRed: And if you don't like it fine, we complete scrap it, there's nothing to lose with trying to make it work
  988. [3/15/2015 1:41:48 PM] Jim Crane: Ok go ahead
  989. [3/15/2015 1:41:48 PM] Jim Crane: try
  990. [3/15/2015 1:42:12 PM] MaliceRed: Okay, so one of the things I can tell you hate about this
  991. [3/15/2015 1:42:25 PM] MaliceRed: Is the color scheme and lack of.. impact.
  992. [3/15/2015 1:42:35 PM] MaliceRed: Lets take the pattern that you picked out
  993. [3/15/2015 1:43:35 PM] MaliceRed: We want washed out colors, because pure black can hurt eyes.
  994. [3/15/2015 1:44:40 PM] MaliceRed: We don't want to over use our patterns because it ends up coming out tacky.
  995. [3/15/2015 1:45:02 PM] MaliceRed: Lets adjust these fonts
  996. [3/15/2015 1:46:15 PM] MaliceRed: The white that you're seeing here was taken specially out from a 'Flat design' color scheme list.
  997. [3/15/2015 1:46:37 PM] MaliceRed: The Select game
  998. [3/15/2015 1:46:47 PM] MaliceRed: Is what we call a 'CTA'
  999. [3/15/2015 1:47:00 PM] MaliceRed: Or Call to action, it is very common in ux design
1000. [3/15/2015 1:47:52 PM] MaliceRed: We want a more Roulette table feeling, so lets make use of that green
1001. [3/15/2015 1:48:44 PM] MaliceRed: I noticed you really want to emphasize hot and cold, so why not make them colored to their respective color.
1002. [3/15/2015 1:49:09 PM] MaliceRed: We're still using the same colors as before.
1003. [3/15/2015 1:49:28 PM] MaliceRed: Okay, so you don't like this logo, lets use the other instead.
  1004. [3/15/2015 1:49:44 PM] Jim Crane: ok
1005. [3/15/2015 1:50:02 PM] MaliceRed: This diamond shape, I feel is key to breaking up the composition in a very unique way.
1006. [3/15/2015 1:51:05 PM] MaliceRed: I could even design a ribbon in here to help really pop out Roubitte
1007. [3/15/2015 1:51:35 PM] Jim Crane: Remove the text maybe?
1008. [3/15/2015 1:52:05 PM] MaliceRed: Yes, an excellent alternatives.
1009. [3/15/2015 1:52:13 PM] MaliceRed: So here's the thing about greys mate.
1010. [3/15/2015 1:52:29 PM] MaliceRed: Not everyone is using a nice 1080p monitor like us.
1011. [3/15/2015 1:52:40 PM] MaliceRed: Sometimes, the greys aren't even callabrated correctly
1012. [3/15/2015 1:53:15 PM] MaliceRed: Infact, if I move this to my other screen which is lower res, I actually will not be able to see the subtle swirl pattern, and I would definitely not be able to see this text.
1013. [3/15/2015 1:53:23 PM] MaliceRed: We have to keep this in mine for all users.
  1014. [3/15/2015 1:53:36 PM] MaliceRed: Here's a healthy alternative.
  1015. [3/15/2015 1:54:29 PM] Jim Crane: yes
1016. [3/15/2015 1:54:30 PM] Jim Crane: correct lol
1017. [3/15/2015 1:55:00 PM] MaliceRed: By using this, we can ensure no matter how shitty your black is calibrated on your screen you will see our logo.
1018. [3/15/2015 1:55:29 PM] MaliceRed: But it's perfectly fine to have the text white, as we can always swap to this color when we put it on other mediums.
1019. [3/15/2015 1:56:35 PM] MaliceRed: When we do it like this, we have so much we can expand on for a layout like this.
1020. [3/15/2015 1:56:47 PM] MaliceRed: Perhaps,. we want to use parralax
1021. [3/15/2015 1:56:52 PM] MaliceRed: Do you know what parallax is?
1022. [3/15/2015 1:58:24 PM] Jim Crane: You mean
1023. [3/15/2015 1:58:27 PM] Jim Crane: like on your website?
1024. [3/15/2015 1:58:34 PM] Jim Crane: with the veiw from the window
  1025. [3/15/2015 1:58:34 PM] MaliceRed: Yes.
1026. [3/15/2015 1:58:37 PM] Jim Crane: moving slowly
  1027. [3/15/2015 1:58:38 PM] Jim Crane: ok
  1028. [3/15/2015 1:58:51 PM] MaliceRed: I didn't know about parallax until a year ago.
1029. [3/15/2015 1:59:01 PM] MaliceRed: But the possibilitys for that are literally endless.
1030. [3/15/2015 1:59:28 PM] MaliceRed: We can have your logo, spin as the user moves their mouse, or perhaps scrolls through
  1031. [3/15/2015 2:01:25 PM] Jim Crane: that'd be cool
1032. [3/15/2015 2:02:03 PM] MaliceRed: I'm trying to think of a way, where we can color code these cards.
1033. [3/15/2015 2:02:24 PM] MaliceRed: In ux design, the less information presented, the more easier the user can consume it.
  1034. [3/15/2015 2:02:39 PM] Jim Crane: ok
1035. [3/15/2015 2:02:44 PM] Jim Crane: be right back
  1036. [3/15/2015 2:02:48 PM] Jim Crane: 15 minutes
1037. [3/15/2015 2:03:21 PM] MaliceRed: And what also makes great modern ux design, is a lot of motion. Motion is what makes the page feel really strong, well made, and reliable. These are all important to your users
1038. [3/15/2015 2:05:16 PM] MaliceRed: Please let me know when you're back.
  1039. [3/15/2015 2:22:55 PM] Jim Crane: back
  1040. [3/15/2015 2:23:07 PM] MaliceRed: Welcome back.
1041. [3/15/2015 2:23:27 PM] MaliceRed: I think one of the eyesores for this layout, the way that I have the Game tabs set up.
1042. [3/15/2015 2:24:09 PM] MaliceRed: I'm trying to come up with a much more visually appeasing way, while incorporating some of the things in your design, and still letting it be easily digested for the end user.
1043. [3/15/2015 2:24:55 PM] Jim Crane: Ok great
  1044. [3/15/2015 2:28:21 PM] MaliceRed: I think I came up with a fantastic idea.
1045. [3/15/2015 2:28:44 PM] MaliceRed: One that will match the rest of the site, encorporate your preferences, and also be user friendly
1046. [3/15/2015 2:29:05 PM] Jim Crane: let see
1047. [3/15/2015 2:42:31 PM] MaliceRed: What do you think about the direction I'm going?
1048. [3/15/2015 2:42:48 PM] Jim Crane: zoom fully out
1049. [3/15/2015 2:44:11 PM] MaliceRed: I can tell you, this can potentially have a 'Wow' factor for new users, especially if everything is coded to move.
1050. [3/15/2015 2:44:27 PM] MaliceRed: Eg, when you mouse over something, it changes colors, or maybe expands
1051. [3/15/2015 2:44:47 PM] MaliceRed: Perhaps you click on one of the tabs, and you get a brief overview of the game.
1052. [3/15/2015 2:45:00 PM] MaliceRed: Or maybe if you want to expand your games, you will have support to do so
  1053. [3/15/2015 2:45:07 PM] MaliceRed: With sliders,
  1054. [3/15/2015 2:45:38 PM] Jim Crane: I'm not 100% sure
1055. [3/15/2015 2:46:15 PM] MaliceRed: Let me continue, there are a few more functions to this slider that I think will really make it unique
1056. [3/15/2015 2:50:23 PM] Jim Crane: I have to go pick my son up from football in ten minutes
1057. [3/15/2015 2:53:05 PM] MaliceRed: In my humble opinion, I really think this can compete with primedice.
1058. [3/15/2015 2:54:03 PM] MaliceRed: Perhaps we should get feed back from other people? Maybe get some unbiased opinions. Maybe ask friends or families to take a look at it?
1059. [3/15/2015 2:54:04 PM] Jim Crane: Its growing on me
  1060. [3/15/2015 2:54:13 PM] MaliceRed: I can refine this.
1061. [3/15/2015 2:54:28 PM] MaliceRed: And my illustration skills will synergize with this flat based look.
1062. [3/15/2015 2:54:39 PM] Jim Crane: You know the hot numbers
1063. [3/15/2015 2:54:40 PM] Jim Crane: and cold
  1064. [3/15/2015 2:54:47 PM] Jim Crane: https://coinroyale.com/roulette/free
1065. [3/15/2015 2:54:48 PM] Jim Crane: check on here
1066. [3/15/2015 2:55:01 PM] Jim Crane: the box with the yellow writing that scrolls acroos
  1067. [3/15/2015 2:55:05 PM] Jim Crane: across
  1068. [3/15/2015 2:55:09 PM] Jim Crane: I want a box like that
1069. [3/15/2015 2:55:12 PM] Jim Crane: with red writing
1070. [3/15/2015 2:55:18 PM] Jim Crane: for hot
1071. [3/15/2015 2:55:26 PM] Jim Crane: and blue for cold
1072. [3/15/2015 2:55:39 PM] MaliceRed: So two of these sort of 'Tickers'?
  1073. [3/15/2015 2:55:44 PM] Jim Crane: yes
1074. [3/15/2015 2:56:04 PM] MaliceRed: We can do that very easily.
1075. [3/15/2015 2:56:12 PM] MaliceRed: Motion is ALWAYS good on a page.
  1076. [3/15/2015 2:56:28 PM] Jim Crane: yes
1077. [3/15/2015 2:56:36 PM] MaliceRed: They use ghost buttons
  1078. [3/15/2015 2:57:06 PM] MaliceRed: hang on a sec
  1079. [3/15/2015 2:57:10 PM] MaliceRed: That logo..
  1080. [3/15/2015 2:57:21 PM] MaliceRed: That's a ripoff primedice's logo.
1081. [3/15/2015 2:58:04 PM] MaliceRed: That's very poor business practice
  1082. [3/15/2015 2:58:10 PM] Jim Crane: lol
1083. [3/15/2015 2:58:40 PM] Jim Crane: probably same people
  1084. [3/15/2015 2:58:52 PM] MaliceRed: I love this interface.
1085. [3/15/2015 2:59:06 PM] MaliceRed: They do a lot right, but I can see what they're doing wrong too
  1086. [3/15/2015 2:59:08 PM] MaliceRed: Like here
1087. [3/15/2015 2:59:53 PM] MaliceRed: I'm going to do something, but hey I know you have things to do, rest assured I will be working very hard on this.
1088. [3/15/2015 3:00:13 PM] MaliceRed: Feel free to contact me after errands to check my progress.
1089. [3/15/2015 3:00:24 PM] Jim Crane: Ok great
1090. [3/15/2015 3:00:26 PM] Jim Crane: speak soon
1091. [3/15/2015 3:00:35 PM] MaliceRed: Take care and be safe
  1092. [3/16/2015 6:08:58 AM] Jim Crane: Hey
1093. [3/16/2015 6:09:00 AM] Jim Crane: any updates?
  1094. [3/16/2015 8:28:21 AM] Jim Crane: Hi?
  1095. [3/16/2015 9:20:52 AM] MaliceRed: Good morning.
1096. [3/16/2015 9:21:16 AM] MaliceRed: Yes, there are some changes.
  1097. [3/16/2015 9:23:47 AM] MaliceRed: http://i.imgur.com/qAAGlul.png
1098. [3/16/2015 9:31:13 AM] MaliceRed: And also to the layout, I'm making a few changes before I show you what I have now
1099. [3/16/2015 9:43:08 AM] Jim Crane: Yes that looks good
1100. [3/16/2015 9:53:30 AM] MaliceRed: Okay so almost finished.
1101. [3/16/2015 10:10:07 AM] MaliceRed: Hey would you like to team view me?
1102. [3/16/2015 10:10:22 AM] Jim Crane: I have to Get my kid from school
1103. [3/16/2015 10:10:24 AM] Jim Crane: so will be after
  1104. [3/16/2015 10:11:44 AM] MaliceRed: I see. Well.
1105. [3/16/2015 10:11:53 AM] MaliceRed: Would you like me to take a image for you on imgur?
  1106. [3/16/2015 10:11:58 AM] Jim Crane: great
  1107. [3/16/2015 10:13:36 AM] MaliceRed: http://i.imgur.com/7wYxVue.png
1108. [3/16/2015 10:14:00 AM] MaliceRed: Did some tweaking to the color scheme. Tuned down and equalized a lot of shadows.
1109. [3/16/2015 10:14:24 AM] MaliceRed: Added a "Poker" table material texture over important bars.
1110. [3/16/2015 10:15:15 AM] MaliceRed: Made 2 variations on the next and prev game selection, Thought it would be cool if we actually used both. 1 for when you mouse over, and one when you actually click.
1111. [3/16/2015 10:15:48 AM] MaliceRed: Social media bar. Not a fan of it, just experimented with the idea of having anything here.
1112. [3/16/2015 10:20:53 AM] Jim Crane: not so sure I like it
1113. [3/16/2015 10:21:02 AM] Jim Crane: the green tabs are not doing it for me
1114. [3/16/2015 10:21:42 AM] MaliceRed: Are you talking about the next and previous buttons?
1115. [3/16/2015 10:24:32 AM] MaliceRed: Essentially what they would do. They wouldn't be visible unless you moused over the 1st or last tab. They would sort of transition into place, and when clicked they would expand into the double diamond you see on the left arrow.
1116. [3/16/2015 10:24:39 AM] Jim Crane: Yes correct
1117. [3/16/2015 10:26:20 AM] MaliceRed: Well, if you don't like them that much, we can get rid of them, and people can scroll through the available games using the bars under the tabs.
1118. [3/16/2015 10:26:42 AM] Jim Crane: I will be back
1119. [3/16/2015 10:26:55 AM] MaliceRed: Will be here.
1120. [3/16/2015 11:50:21 AM] MaliceRed: I'd like to show you this layout one more time, if you're still not feeling it, I'll go back to the drawing board and try a different approach.
1121. [3/16/2015 12:46:13 PM] MaliceRed: Also Jim, just want to let you know, this is the design process, lots of drafts and tries will have to be made. All I ask is you have a bit of patience with me. We will come up with something, I promise that.
1122. [3/16/2015 6:08:23 PM] MaliceRed: Hello, there are somethings I need your input for. Until then, I will start working on the 'Game' illustrations that will be featured on the tabs.
1123. [3/17/2015 6:25:26 AM] MaliceRed: Hello and good morning Jim, I just came on to let you know I'll be out doing errands for this morning, but when I return to my desk I'll present to you what I've came up with. Some new layouts, and illustrations for the games modes. Have a fantastic morning, will be on again soon.
  1124. [3/18/2015 8:03:03 AM] Jim Crane: Hey
1125. [3/18/2015 8:03:08 AM] Jim Crane: new designs?
  1126. [3/18/2015 9:52:51 AM] MaliceRed: Good morning.
1127. [3/18/2015 9:53:25 AM] MaliceRed: Are you there?
1128. [3/18/2015 9:57:16 AM] MaliceRed: I can't proceed any further without actually showing you these.
1129. [3/18/2015 9:57:44 AM] Jim Crane: Yes Im here
  1130. [3/18/2015 9:57:50 AM] MaliceRed: Okay.
1131. [3/18/2015 9:57:50 AM] Jim Crane: but Im currently about to head off
1132. [3/18/2015 9:58:08 AM] MaliceRed: Will you be able to come back later?
  1133. [3/18/2015 9:58:12 AM] Jim Crane: Yes
  1134. [3/18/2015 9:58:19 AM] MaliceRed: What time?
1135. [3/18/2015 9:58:40 AM] MaliceRed: I am EST time by the way.
  1136. [3/18/2015 9:59:20 AM] Jim Crane: yes 7 hours difference I think
1137. [3/18/2015 9:59:28 AM] MaliceRed: Okay, please come back later. As I cannot continue without your input.
  1138. [3/18/2015 9:59:29 AM] Jim Crane: Maybe 4-5 hours
1139. [3/18/2015 9:59:34 AM] Jim Crane: Speak soon
  1140. [3/18/2015 9:59:36 AM] Jim Crane: Ok
  1141. [3/18/2015 9:59:39 AM] MaliceRed: Sounds good.
  1142. [3/19/2015 6:04:09 AM] Jim Crane: Hey
  1143. [3/19/2015 6:04:57 AM] MaliceRed: Good morning.
1144. [3/19/2015 6:05:05 AM] Jim Crane: How are you?
1145. [3/19/2015 6:05:33 AM] MaliceRed: I'm doing well, had to stay up to catch you, since I notice you get online at a certain time.
1146. [3/19/2015 6:05:45 AM] MaliceRed: I'm always an hour or two behind.
  1147. [3/19/2015 6:05:56 AM] MaliceRed: But it's all good.
  1148. [3/19/2015 6:06:01 AM] Jim Crane: Great
1149. [3/19/2015 6:07:45 AM] MaliceRed: Okay, so firstly, I made a little special thing. It has to do with the layout you don't really like. It's to help you understand the design process. And what strengths it can offer if you use it.
1150. [3/19/2015 6:08:15 AM] MaliceRed: After that, I have revisions of the layouts, and about 2 near completed ones that are different from this layout.
1151. [3/19/2015 6:08:33 AM] Jim Crane: Great let me see
  1152. [3/19/2015 6:09:48 AM] MaliceRed: http://i.imgur.com/7OTZNkD.png
1153. [3/19/2015 6:09:58 AM] MaliceRed: So here we go, it's a sort of "Breakdown"
1154. [3/19/2015 6:12:04 AM] MaliceRed: So now that you've seen a breakdown of the composition, I'd like to show you near complete revisions.
  1155. [3/19/2015 6:12:05 AM] MaliceRed: http://i.imgur.com/G7JtgV8.png
1156. [3/19/2015 6:12:25 AM] MaliceRed: This is a revision that takes more inspiration from your original idea on the layout.
1157. [3/19/2015 6:12:52 AM] MaliceRed: The two "arrow" shapes I feel really synergize with the roulette logo.
1158. [3/19/2015 6:13:17 AM] MaliceRed: The game images that you see there are place holders.
1159. [3/19/2015 6:14:52 AM] MaliceRed: There's an awkward space at the footer that can easily be filled in. And I did it in this next one.
1160. [3/19/2015 6:15:14 AM] MaliceRed: I'm hoping you like this one. As it follows your original layout to the T
  1161. [3/19/2015 6:15:15 AM] MaliceRed: http://i.imgur.com/ZdFzS0T.png
1162. [3/19/2015 6:15:39 AM] MaliceRed: What are your thoughts, my friend?
1163. [3/19/2015 6:17:48 AM] Jim Crane: Im thinking the font needs to change
1164. [3/19/2015 6:17:51 AM] Jim Crane: for select game
1165. [3/19/2015 6:17:56 AM] Jim Crane: and about, login and register
1166. [3/19/2015 6:18:06 AM] Jim Crane: also the cold and hot numbers need to be done up
1167. [3/19/2015 6:18:43 AM] MaliceRed: Okay, so you're not feeling the large fonts. Something smaller and thinner then?
1168. [3/19/2015 6:18:53 AM] MaliceRed: Which layout where you leaning to the most?
1169. [3/19/2015 6:18:58 AM] Jim Crane: I like the roubitte font like that
1170. [3/19/2015 6:19:00 AM] Jim Crane: but not on the read
  1171. [3/19/2015 6:19:06 AM] Jim Crane: http://i.imgur.com/G7JtgV8.png
  1172. [3/19/2015 6:19:45 AM] Jim Crane: Also
1173. [3/19/2015 6:19:50 AM] Jim Crane: change the greens
1174. [3/19/2015 6:19:52 AM] Jim Crane: to purple
1175. [3/19/2015 6:19:58 AM] Jim Crane: on the footer
1176. [3/19/2015 6:20:03 AM] Jim Crane: and where the H and C numbers are
1177. [3/19/2015 6:20:53 AM] MaliceRed: So you want a purple where the footer is, and the H and C
1178. [3/19/2015 6:21:05 AM] Jim Crane: Yes to see what its like
  1179. [3/19/2015 6:21:09 AM] Jim Crane: Teamveiwer?
1180. [3/19/2015 6:21:21 AM] MaliceRed: Sure let me clean my set up really quick
  1181. [3/19/2015 6:23:22 AM] MaliceRed: 731 270 252
  1182. [3/19/2015 6:23:26 AM] MaliceRed: 9826
1183. [3/19/2015 6:23:46 AM] MaliceRed: I've also went ahead and started designing the game table.
1184. [3/19/2015 6:25:01 AM] MaliceRed: As you can see, started on that, what do you think of it so far?
1185. [3/19/2015 6:25:18 AM] Jim Crane: Its ok
1186. [3/19/2015 6:25:23 AM] Jim Crane: But i don't like all this big text
1187. [3/19/2015 6:25:25 AM] Jim Crane: looks childish
1188. [3/19/2015 6:26:05 AM] MaliceRed: Well, we can change the text if that's what you'd like, pretty easily
1189. [3/19/2015 6:26:19 AM] Jim Crane: Yes but lets focus on hmepage
1190. [3/19/2015 6:26:34 AM] MaliceRed: One last thing
1191. [3/19/2015 6:26:51 AM] MaliceRed: I've compiled a list of variations on the logos, trying to refine it into something better
1192. [3/19/2015 6:27:08 AM] MaliceRed: Would like for you to check it out later when you get the chance
1193. [3/19/2015 6:27:30 AM] Jim Crane: other one
1194. [3/19/2015 6:27:32 AM] Jim Crane: not this one
1195. [3/19/2015 6:27:48 AM] Jim Crane: Ok lets change up the font first
1196. [3/19/2015 6:28:20 AM] Jim Crane: Remove the about
1197. [3/19/2015 6:28:23 AM] Jim Crane: Doesnt need to be there
1198. [3/19/2015 6:28:26 AM] Jim Crane: can go on bottom
1199. [3/19/2015 6:28:38 AM] MaliceRed: Right no problem.
1200. [3/19/2015 6:28:45 AM] Jim Crane: Zoom out so i can see that text
1201. [3/19/2015 6:29:10 AM] Jim Crane: Login needs to be more central
1202. [3/19/2015 6:29:13 AM] Jim Crane: to that back blue box
1203. [3/19/2015 6:29:22 AM] MaliceRed: Right, so about the zoom in. Just want to give you heads up, that when we're in this resolution, this is what people will see.
1204. [3/19/2015 6:29:33 AM] MaliceRed: This is the actual size of everything.
  1205. [3/19/2015 6:30:21 AM] Jim Crane: Ok
1206. [3/19/2015 6:30:24 AM] Jim Crane: and for the hot and cold numbers
1207. [3/19/2015 6:31:05 AM] Jim Crane: They need to be more centered
1208. [3/19/2015 6:31:10 AM] Jim Crane: the the green box
1209. [3/19/2015 6:31:17 AM] Jim Crane: the letters and numbers
1210. [3/19/2015 6:32:04 AM] Jim Crane: Or is that as far
1211. [3/19/2015 6:32:06 AM] Jim Crane: as it can go?
1212. [3/19/2015 6:32:30 AM] MaliceRed: So this grid overlay you're seeing is the padding that the elements will be using when the site is code.
  1213. [3/19/2015 6:32:33 AM] MaliceRed: Coded*
1214. [3/19/2015 6:32:53 AM] MaliceRed: We need to keep most elements centered in these grids, or it'll be really bad to code later.
  1215. [3/19/2015 6:33:03 AM] Jim Crane: ok
  1216. [3/19/2015 6:33:04 AM] Jim Crane: also
1217. [3/19/2015 6:33:08 AM] Jim Crane: make the 2 at the end
  1218. [3/19/2015 6:33:11 AM] Jim Crane: 13
1219. [3/19/2015 6:33:13 AM] Jim Crane: or something
1220. [3/19/2015 6:33:33 AM] Jim Crane: as it could be 4 high numbers
  1221. [3/19/2015 6:34:08 AM] Jim Crane: also
1222. [3/19/2015 6:34:17 AM] Jim Crane: dont chage the green just yet
1223. [3/19/2015 6:34:27 AM] Jim Crane: maybe its the texture behind it I dont like
1224. [3/19/2015 6:35:16 AM] MaliceRed: How about now?
1225. [3/19/2015 6:35:37 AM] Jim Crane: whats the background
1226. [3/19/2015 6:35:39 AM] Jim Crane: design site
1227. [3/19/2015 6:35:40 AM] Jim Crane: you sent me
1228. [3/19/2015 6:35:48 AM] Jim Crane: I think i know what its missing
1229. [3/19/2015 6:35:50 AM] MaliceRed: Sure let me get it.
  1230. [3/19/2015 6:36:04 AM] MaliceRed: http://subtlepatterns.com/
  1231. [3/19/2015 6:36:55 AM] Jim Crane: http://subtlepatterns.com/page/5/
  1232. [3/19/2015 6:37:05 AM] Jim Crane: Triangular
  1233. [3/19/2015 6:37:09 AM] Jim Crane: bottom
1234. [3/19/2015 6:37:23 AM] Jim Crane: try this
1235. [3/19/2015 6:37:27 AM] Jim Crane: as the footer
1236. [3/19/2015 6:37:30 AM] Jim Crane: and other green bars
1237. [3/19/2015 6:39:50 AM] MaliceRed: It's very hard to see that pattern, but it may be different when we use the purple.
1238. [3/19/2015 6:39:53 AM] Jim Crane: No not sure I lik that
  1239. [3/19/2015 6:39:55 AM] Jim Crane: yes
1240. [3/19/2015 6:39:59 AM] Jim Crane: try purple quickly
1241. [3/19/2015 6:40:18 AM] Jim Crane: Purple is nasty
  1242. [3/19/2015 6:40:21 AM] Jim Crane: won't work
  1243. [3/19/2015 6:40:37 AM] Jim Crane: http://subtlepatterns.com/tweed/
1244. [3/19/2015 6:40:38 AM] MaliceRed: I agree, unless we use a different shade of it
1245. [3/19/2015 6:40:46 AM] Jim Crane: try this behind the greens
1246. [3/19/2015 6:42:03 AM] Jim Crane: Needs to be same green as rest of site
1247. [3/19/2015 6:42:28 AM] MaliceRed: Well, we're using the same green as the logo, that the rest of the site will be using.
1248. [3/19/2015 6:42:48 AM] MaliceRed: However, what we're seeing here, is that the pattern is influencing the color, since we need to blend it.
1249. [3/19/2015 6:43:08 AM] MaliceRed: If we make it too opac, we won't see it.
  1250. [3/19/2015 6:43:16 AM] Jim Crane: http://subtlepatterns.com/p4/
1251. [3/19/2015 6:43:18 AM] MaliceRed: Too dark, and it will shade the green.
  1252. [3/19/2015 6:43:56 AM] Jim Crane: http://subtlepatterns.com/mocha-grunge/
  1253. [3/19/2015 6:43:56 AM] Jim Crane: ?
  1254. [3/19/2015 6:44:13 AM] Jim Crane: or http://subtlepatterns.com/knitted-sweater/
1255. [3/19/2015 6:46:14 AM] MaliceRed: Are you feeling that pattern?
1256. [3/19/2015 6:46:19 AM] MaliceRed: Just want to make sure
1257. [3/19/2015 6:46:33 AM] Jim Crane: Not really
1258. [3/19/2015 6:47:11 AM] Jim Crane: I htink the green just keeps messing them up
  1259. [3/19/2015 6:47:16 AM] Jim Crane: http://subtlepatterns.com/mocha-grunge/
  1260. [3/19/2015 6:47:18 AM] Jim Crane: ?
1261. [3/19/2015 6:47:41 AM] MaliceRed: You're starting to see why I used that specific pattern before lol.
1262. [3/19/2015 6:49:12 AM] Jim Crane: Yes lol
1263. [3/19/2015 6:49:21 AM] Jim Crane: Not 100% fond on it though
1264. [3/19/2015 6:49:52 AM] MaliceRed: I used it to sort of simulate that fuz on the roulette tables, I thought it was appropriate.
1265. [3/19/2015 6:50:11 AM] Jim Crane: Its nice
1266. [3/19/2015 6:50:15 AM] Jim Crane: can you make the cold
1267. [3/19/2015 6:50:19 AM] Jim Crane: and hot numbers
1268. [3/19/2015 6:50:23 AM] Jim Crane: boxs thinner?
1269. [3/19/2015 6:50:36 AM] MaliceRed: You bean the whole boxes that they're inside?
  1270. [3/19/2015 6:50:41 AM] MaliceRed: The 'Arrows'?
  1271. [3/19/2015 6:50:54 AM] Jim Crane: yes
1272. [3/19/2015 6:51:06 AM] MaliceRed: Horrizontally or vertically?
  1273. [3/19/2015 6:51:21 AM] Jim Crane: Thinner
  1274. [3/19/2015 6:52:04 AM] MaliceRed: Like that?
1275. [3/19/2015 6:52:21 AM] Jim Crane: I need to see it without the lines etc
1276. [3/19/2015 6:52:24 AM] Jim Crane: to see if its ok
1277. [3/19/2015 6:53:03 AM] Jim Crane: Yes thats better
1278. [3/19/2015 6:54:52 AM] MaliceRed: Do we still want a texture on these bars?
1279. [3/19/2015 6:55:02 AM] Jim Crane: Lets try the texture you liked
  1280. [3/19/2015 6:55:09 AM] MaliceRed: Sure thing.
1281. [3/19/2015 6:55:53 AM] Jim Crane: and remove the hot and cold text
1282. [3/19/2015 6:57:31 AM] Jim Crane: zoom out
1283. [3/19/2015 6:58:30 AM] MaliceRed: So you want to change the text of Select game?
  1284. [3/19/2015 6:58:37 AM] Jim Crane: Yes
  1285. [3/19/2015 6:59:13 AM] MaliceRed: Smaller?
1286. [3/19/2015 6:59:27 AM] Jim Crane: I dont like that font
1287. [3/19/2015 6:59:41 AM] MaliceRed: Do you have a font in mind?
1288. [3/19/2015 6:59:58 AM] Jim Crane: You think a font like this will throw off the style of the page?
  1289. [3/19/2015 6:59:59 AM] Jim Crane: http://www.dafont.com/de/streamster.font?text=Select+Game
1290. [3/19/2015 7:00:06 AM] Jim Crane: or Add that sort of retro style to it
1291. [3/19/2015 7:00:20 AM] MaliceRed: Well, Retrro and modern do not go well.
1292. [3/19/2015 7:00:29 AM] MaliceRed: We can try a cursive font, but we cannot use this one.
  1293. [3/19/2015 7:00:30 AM] Jim Crane: ok
1294. [3/19/2015 7:00:46 AM] MaliceRed: We'd have to purchase a license to use this.
1295. [3/19/2015 7:01:00 AM] Jim Crane: ah ok
1296. [3/19/2015 7:01:07 AM] MaliceRed: That being said, I do have cursive font that we can use.
1297. [3/19/2015 7:01:17 AM] MaliceRed: Let's check it out. Just to say that we did
  1298. [3/19/2015 7:01:43 AM] Jim Crane: No
  1299. [3/19/2015 7:01:44 AM] Jim Crane: lol
  1300. [3/19/2015 7:01:56 AM] MaliceRed: Still no?
1301. [3/19/2015 7:02:03 AM] Jim Crane: Throws off the look of the page I think
1302. [3/19/2015 7:02:09 AM] Jim Crane: maybe use the same as roubitte
  1303. [3/19/2015 7:02:11 AM] MaliceRed: Yeah lol.
  1304. [3/19/2015 7:02:14 AM] MaliceRed: Sure.
1305. [3/19/2015 7:03:13 AM] MaliceRed: What do you think?
1306. [3/19/2015 7:03:23 AM] MaliceRed: A lighter font, or bolder?
1307. [3/19/2015 7:04:05 AM] Jim Crane: Whats better
1308. [3/19/2015 7:04:06 AM] Jim Crane: Choose game
1309. [3/19/2015 7:04:10 AM] Jim Crane: or select game
1310. [3/19/2015 7:04:22 AM] Jim Crane: if we use Choose game can change the colour of the oo's
1311. [3/19/2015 7:05:06 AM] MaliceRed: Personally I like to use bolder fonts, as that is pretty much trending right now.
1312. [3/19/2015 7:05:16 AM] MaliceRed: Also, what are the oo's you are referring to?
  1313. [3/19/2015 7:05:22 AM] Jim Crane: No i mean
1314. [3/19/2015 7:05:26 AM] Jim Crane: whats better, either
1315. [3/19/2015 7:05:30 AM] Jim Crane: Choose game
1316. [3/19/2015 7:05:34 AM] Jim Crane: Or Select game
  1317. [3/19/2015 7:05:37 AM] MaliceRed: OH
1318. [3/19/2015 7:05:37 AM] Jim Crane: as wording
1319. [3/19/2015 7:06:21 AM] MaliceRed: They're both equally good. As long as we have a Call to action.
1320. [3/19/2015 7:06:31 AM] Jim Crane: I think smaller text
1321. [3/19/2015 7:06:32 AM] Jim Crane: and a little lower
1322. [3/19/2015 7:06:42 AM] MaliceRed: When we make a call to action, the user immediately looks to what we're reffering to.
1323. [3/19/2015 7:08:07 AM] MaliceRed: One thing that we can do to make this look "Better"
1324. [3/19/2015 7:08:20 AM] MaliceRed: Is use bars to help break things up a bit.
  1325. [3/19/2015 7:08:23 AM] MaliceRed: For example.
  1326. [3/19/2015 7:08:38 AM] Jim Crane: Yes I see
1327. [3/19/2015 7:08:42 AM] MaliceRed: The red bars, add a nice modern touch to the page
1328. [3/19/2015 7:08:47 AM] MaliceRed: And helps flesh things out,
  1329. [3/19/2015 7:09:12 AM] Jim Crane: ok
1330. [3/19/2015 7:09:30 AM] Jim Crane: Maybe not red bars
1331. [3/19/2015 7:09:38 AM] Jim Crane: maybe a darker black
1332. [3/19/2015 7:09:45 AM] Jim Crane: like behind the game options
  1333. [3/19/2015 7:10:46 AM] Jim Crane: oh
1334. [3/19/2015 7:10:48 AM] Jim Crane: not theres lol
1335. [3/19/2015 7:10:57 AM] Jim Crane: I thought you meant on the footer
1336. [3/19/2015 7:11:23 AM] MaliceRed: I use them on all of the elements to help fill out the space.
1337. [3/19/2015 7:11:36 AM] MaliceRed: It really helped fleshing the site out and break up the awkward space.
  1338. [3/19/2015 7:12:35 AM] Jim Crane: Yes
1339. [3/19/2015 7:12:37 AM] Jim Crane: looks good
1340. [3/19/2015 7:14:03 AM] MaliceRed: And how about this footer, any changes you'd like to see on it?
1341. [3/19/2015 7:14:48 AM] Jim Crane: Don't need to copyright
1342. [3/19/2015 7:15:03 AM] MaliceRed: Ah this is only placeholder text.
  1343. [3/19/2015 7:15:06 AM] Jim Crane: Put
1344. [3/19/2015 7:15:07 AM] Jim Crane: Simple Provably Fair
1345. [3/19/2015 7:15:14 AM] Jim Crane: Terms of Service
1346. [3/19/2015 7:15:18 AM] Jim Crane: and Support
1347. [3/19/2015 7:16:39 AM] Jim Crane: needs to be centered
  1348. [3/19/2015 7:18:30 AM] MaliceRed: How's that?
1349. [3/19/2015 7:19:59 AM] Jim Crane: The support doesnt look centered
1350. [3/19/2015 7:22:09 AM] MaliceRed: That's as centered as its going to get.
  1351. [3/19/2015 7:23:14 AM] Jim Crane: ok
1352. [3/19/2015 7:26:44 AM] MaliceRed: So, are there any other changes you'd like to see?
1353. [3/19/2015 7:27:15 AM] Jim Crane: Not right now, will show it to my partner
1354. [3/19/2015 7:27:20 AM] Jim Crane: and let you know
1355. [3/19/2015 7:27:23 AM] Jim Crane: whats your btc address

  1357. [3/19/2015 7:27:39 AM] MaliceRed: 1Mj53MdURKiiFK8bfLW29kX73fwD4xQWiV
  1358. [3/19/2015 7:28:21 AM] Jim Crane: sent
1359. [3/19/2015 7:28:29 AM] MaliceRed: Is there anyway you can send me the 1, since I've worked on this for some time. I was thinking that maybe half would be fair at this point.
1360. [3/19/2015 7:29:11 AM] Jim Crane: Not untill I've spoken to my partner
1361. [3/19/2015 7:29:14 AM] Jim Crane: to see if theyre happy with it
  1362. [3/19/2015 7:30:51 AM] Jim Crane: and psd'd remember
  1363. [3/19/2015 7:30:52 AM] Jim Crane: :)
  1364. [3/19/2015 7:31:05 AM] MaliceRed: I can't give you the PSD unfortunately.
  1365. [3/19/2015 7:31:13 AM] Jim Crane: why?
1366. [3/19/2015 7:31:25 AM] Jim Crane: We agreed at the start
1367. [3/19/2015 7:31:30 AM] MaliceRed: Until I receive the payment. It's only to protect my assets, nothing personal.
1368. [3/19/2015 7:31:39 AM] MaliceRed: Oh no, you misunderstand.
1369. [3/19/2015 7:31:52 AM] MaliceRed: I will give you the PSD.

1372. [3/19/2015 7:32:01 AM] Jim Crane: read what I wrote
  1373. [3/19/2015 7:32:01 AM] Jim Crane: And the PSD's
1374. [3/19/2015 7:32:08 AM] Jim Crane: While you where saving as the PNG

1379. [3/19/2015 7:32:40 AM] Jim Crane: Well yes
1380. [3/19/2015 7:32:48 AM] Jim Crane: As its the only way to protect me
1381. [3/19/2015 7:32:51 AM] Jim Crane: works both ways
  1382. [3/19/2015 7:32:55 AM] MaliceRed: Of course.
1383. [3/19/2015 7:33:06 AM] MaliceRed: I'm sorry, I don't mean to insult or offend you at all.
1384. [3/19/2015 7:33:19 AM] MaliceRed: I misread, I thought you wanted the PSD of the layout right now.
  1385. [3/19/2015 7:33:22 AM] Jim Crane: (y)
1386. [3/19/2015 7:33:41 AM] MaliceRed: Also, I have compiled this list of revised logos.
  1387. [3/19/2015 7:33:51 AM] Jim Crane: k
1388. [3/19/2015 7:34:19 AM] MaliceRed: I wanted to give you a PNG of the full resolution of the Website layout so your partner can look at it in full resolution.

1392. [3/19/2015 7:36:03 AM] MaliceRed: Here's a PNG so you can show your associate.
1393. [3/19/2015 7:36:39 AM] MaliceRed: This is a private url, so no one will be able to see it except the people who have this url.
1394. [3/19/2015 7:37:30 AM] MaliceRed: Would you like the PSD of the logos right now?
  1395. [3/19/2015 7:37:46 AM] Jim Crane: Yea
1396. [3/19/2015 7:37:48 AM] MaliceRed: Actually these are in AI and EPS
1397. [3/19/2015 7:38:24 AM] MaliceRed: You can open them in Photoshop, but it's recommended if you use Adobe illustrator, as you'll get access to all of the Layers that I used.
  1398. [3/19/2015 7:39:07 AM] Jim Crane: I thought we agreed psd's?
