- I started with Mienfoo+Sludge Bomb Diglett. Mienfoo U-Turn into Diglett allows you to trap Cottonee, which could otherwise hinder both your sweepers. I chose Acrobatics Slowfoo to better combat Chinchou, Magnemite, and Foongus, since it stops the first two from gaining as much momentum and has the bulk to take sleep and wake up before being KO'd vs Foongus. Eviolite 3 Atks SR Diglett was a later pick, but this set allows it to survive all moves after SR from non-LO Pawniard and Magnemite, trapping them off a Fletchling U-turn. Shellder is HP [Fighting] because this team likes steels dead and needs an additional check vs Pawniard since I'm using Slowfoo. Cottonee is pretty much mandatory here since Mienfoo doesn't check any Shell Smasher once it loses its Eviolite, unlike other fighters. I use dual STAB over HP [Fight] because this team needs a way to pressure defensive waters (staryu, slowpoke) that isn't a boosted sweeper. Tirtouga is this team's flying resist. I chose Evio Smash because it has the least amount of checks and beats most fighters at +2; Mag and Pawn are usually lured / trapped by Shellder / Diglett, so you can get away with using Aqua Jet as your Water STAB. Fletchling just has nice offensive synergy with the smashers, pressuring Chinchou / Porygon. Defensively, it checks threatening Grass-types and can revenge kill fighting types like Scarf Mienfoo or Scraggy which otherwise might be threatening.
