After reading [[Commons:Village_pump/Archive/2015/06#Request]] I would initially like to go through [[:Category:Files uploaded by Russavia]] and remove "* Uploaded by [[User:russavia|russavia]]". I note that McZusatz was doing this job with YaCBot, but was adding additional categories and the like. I will not be doing this. Once I have completed this job, I will continue to run it for other uploaders, in order to ensure that external re-users of Commons content are able to attribute Commons materials inline with the stated licences.

I am requesting openended removal of "Uploaded by" and similiar phrases that fall within the same scope. nah, run it on say 20 files in that cat first....it's not going to be contentious for you to do so, so long as you only remove the * Uploaded by bit.       do it all in one hit....there's no rush.
