  1. Shinmyoumaru Sukuna - idk how to call this one
  2.
  3. Probably the most casual of the three out fits. Kept the original design but tried to make it as practical-looking as possible. It’s the outfit used on her trip with Seija (switched from the traditional princess attire); everything is tied enough so that it doesn’t bother her when browsing tough places/areas, but not too much to feel painful. Think of the kimono as something more like a coat/overcoat.
  4.
  5. The veil under her bowl is here for both practical reasons (protects from cold, rain, mosquitos/bugs) and to give a princess-y feel to her outfit (‘hidden beauty’ like the court’s women). Veil is important. The scabbard for the Shining Needle Sword is made of expensive silk (it is one of the kobito’s treasures, after all) and is hung nicely on her back thanks to a belt when she doesn’t need it. Not seen: the bow on her obi belt is quite huge.
  6.
  7. Seija Kijin - Archer
  8.
  9. The possibility of Seija having archery skills can be backed up by folklore, so this seemed quite obvious. Following kyujutsu, ideally the bow should be around 2 meters long, but Seija doesn’t give a shit about rules. As she would probably use it for hunting too, a slightly smaller bow is way more practical to stay hidden. She’s a leftie and might have been forced as a kid to learn how to use the bow like a rightie would have, but quickly came back ‘to her roots’. Kept the bow really simple for practical reasons (and I’m not knowledgeable in weapons anyway haha bye).
  10.
  11. Hair must be kept short for practical reasons. Wears waraji sandals and has the habit to wrap her legs in bandages. Actually I had put some notes on the sketch here http://img4.hostingpics.net/pics/218590mediev04pv.jpg
  12.
  13. Shinmyoumaru Sukuna - Samurai
  14.
  15. Obligatory ō-yoroi to match with her social rank. Probably one of Issun-Boushi’s armors. As it is quite heavy and unpractical, she only wears it when riding one of the mices -the mice’s speed balances with the slowness of her own moves when she’s wearing the armor. Thanks to this, she’s able to use the Shining Needle Sword where instead she would have to use long-range weapons (such as bows & arrows). Still, if she’s aiming for a close fight, first outfit is more recommended as it allows her to move around fully. The mices have to wear pieces of armor too: they’re considered as royal battle steeds. The emblem on her helmet is supposed to be the same as the brooch on her obi belt in Forbidden Scrollery.
  16.
  17. The use of the Miracle Mallet isn’t allowed on the battlefield (Seija keeps it)(no).
  18.
  19. Shinmyoumaru Sukuna - Princess outfit
  20.
  21. Or something along those lines. It was first supposed to be a junihitoe, but I didn’t have enough dedication nor time to draw 12 layers of clothing, and didn’t really respect the supposed order and colors of the layers… erhm. Please try to think of it as a fancy kimono of some sort. Not that much to say about the outfit itself… It’s a very heavy outfit, most likely one she doesn’t wear often. The veil is supposed to be fancier than the one in n°1.
  22.
  23. About the long hair tho: I like to imagine (and not only in this specific context; I’m taking it as headcanon overall) that she used to have long hair, as a princess and such, but decided to cut it when she left with Seija. There are many reasons I can come up with on this one, but that’s not the point of this post.
  24.
  25. Seija Kijin - ???
  26.
  27. Well if you know me, that was probably expected. It’s the Urikohime outfit. If you don’t know about this tale, there’s a short resume of it on the wikipedia page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amanojaku) tho there are many versions of it, actually.
  28.
  29. I don’t have any proper ideas for this one, since she should normally… well, look completely different. In this case it’s not really an outfit anymore, is it? Gross. Anyway, I just wanted to draw her in something like this.
