  1. Many have had problems with users of various porn fora posting private, intimate photos of others without their authorization. Often these images have been taken from private galleries where access is controlled and copyright is clearly indicated. While this is not unique to any one site, it can result in public humiliation and harm to the victims, especially when the abuser overlays the image or renames the files with names of the victims.

For site managers, it is worth reminding your users that such activity is illegal under US, UK, and various international copyright laws, privacy laws, stalking laws, computer crime statutes, and "revenge porn" laws. In general the broadcasting, reposting, and dissemination of images without the consent of the owner OR subject is a crime (whether or not harassment is intended) and may be subject to civil liability as well.

  5. Please make this clear to your users and take action to better monitor use, remove the photos, and/or ban users as needed.
