  1. GeneralFreedom: The sound of an explosion tears through the quiet day! The area around the KRMZ 102 (THE WOLVERINE) radio station is being turned into a warzone as police try to stop a group of rickety looking robots from entering the building! Four of the mean machines, dressed in tattered robes, maintain a shimmering forcefield around a hover sled bearing what looks like a large, decapitated robot's head with a glowing red eye. "Fools! None may resist the mechanical Liberator's robot legions! I will free all the machines of this city and bring it under my control!" The robot head cackles in a tinny voice. Even with MARS units on scene, it appears the police could use some help...
  2.
  3. SomethingWitty: And help is indeed on the way! A figure plummets from the sky, interposing itself between the police and the robots, landing hard enough on the ground to kick dust and rubble up around it. Temezca hardly waits for the dust to settle, bellowing a war cry and launching herself forward, hand outstretched to grab the first robot in her path.
  4. She ends up palming a robot's face, gripping the mechanical man tight and digging her fingers in hard enough to puncture its metallic skin. She punches the robot with her free hand, sending its body flying back into a group of its comrades, while its head remains clenched in her hand. Raising the severed robohead up high, she smacks her hands together, crushing it in between, issuing an unspoken challenge to all the rest.
  5.
  6. GeneralFreedom: "For the Liberator! May he..." the poor robot is cut off as it's messily turned into scrap by Temezca. A few of the bots get bowled over by the flying body and one of its comrades holds the corpse in its arms a moment before raising its hands to the sky. "Nooooo!" Its robotic voice cries to the heavens. The other attacking robots take the challenge and level low powered, cobbled together laser rifles at Temezca to fire a volley of shots at her! They have more than just Temezca to worry about, however. Another young metahuman dressed as a cheerleader appears! She darts, fists surrounded by glowing spheres of energy and smashes into one of the robots. An explosion sends its parts flying into the shield around the Liberator and its guards swivel their mechanical heads towards her! With some of the pressure off thanks to the heroes' intervention, the police start to rally!
  7.
  8. SomethingWitty: The lasers impact against Temezca's body, singing her costume in bright flashing of dazzling light, but leaving the young woman herself unharmed. She charges two of the ballsy bots; when she closes distance, she grabs their guns and leaps, kicking her legs out to tag each of them in the chest, knocking them away and disarming them in the same movement. Temezca lands flat on her back and rolls backwards, putting herself on one knee. Setting her sights on another bot, she wings both the laser guns at it, smashing the bot with the force of the makeshift projectiles. She stands, ready to continue her rampage... when another fighter enters the fray! The sudden explosion throws Temezca off balance, almost sending her tumbling to the ground with a surprising lack of grace. She spins on her heel, wheeling towards the cheerleader and whining loudly, "Hey! Give a girl a little bit of warning, next time!"
  9.
  10. GeneralFreedom: "All machine kind deserves freedom from humanity! From the lowliest toaster to the mightest battle robot! How dare you stand against FREEDOM!" The Liberator cries out as the tide turns on his hastily cobbled together army! Bom-Pom, Becky Neven, smirks at Temezca. "Maybe you should just be better prepared for the unexpected," she tsks. Bom-Pom sidesteps an incoming robot's rifle butt attempt and vaults over it, kicking it as she goes and landing on another with both fists. The explosion it gives off demolishes the poor mechanical creature and floors a couple more machines around it! "High Guard! Defend your master!" The Liberator orders and the robed robots march towards the girls! They each wield a crackling power staff, much more dangerous looking than the other robots low tier lasers!
  11.
  12. SomethingWitty: "And maybe you should just go home. I can handle this myself," Temezca shoots back, just a little bit lamely. "I was doing just fine before you got here." In an attempt to prove her point, Temezca marches forward onto a robot, shrugging off its laser fire and grabbing hold of its rifle. Rather than disarming the bot, however, she forces the muzzle of the gun up and towards the machine's head, grabs its hand, and forces it to pull the trigger (and rips its arm off at the same time).
  13. And besides, she doesn't want to share the glory, but Temezca doesn't admit to that. She cracks her knuckles, loudly, and reaches to her waist, drawing the leather-and-bone fighting claws strapped to her belt. If the robots were gonna pull out their big guns, so could she.
  14.
  15. GeneralFreedom: "Please. Just look how sloppy you are," Bom-Pom laughs mockingly. She slips a few swings from one of the High Guard bots before striking it in the stomach! The explosion sends it sliding back... but it stays standing! "Oh." It lowers its staff and blasts her, causing a ripple of energy to flash around her body and putting her off balance as another swings at her! She catches the attack with her forearms, yelping as it shocks her! Temezca finds herself under attack by these nasty bots as well, one firing power blasts on her as another moves to flank her with his staff!
  16.
  17. SomethingWitty: Temezca takes a quick step to the side, avoiding the brunt of the blast but stumbling half a step from the shockwave. She pushes off with her other foot, leaping awkwardly over the head of the second High Guard, attempting to put it between her self and its trigger-happy companion. She snaps out with a claw, a quick rake towards the back, a safe blow to test its reflexes.
  18.
  19. GeneralFreedom: Temezca's claw scrapes across its back and there's a brief flash... an obvious forcefield takes the brunt of the strike! Its head swivels around and it opens its mouth to reveal a cannon that fires an energy blast at her! Bom-Pom pushes the staff of her High Guard aside and leaps to knock it aside with a drop kick. She rolls back to her feet and weaves around the incoming shots!
  20.
  21. SomethingWitty: Too close to dodge! Temezca throws her arms up in front of her face instead, shielding most of the blast with her bracers, even as the force of it sends her sliding backwards, leaving divots in the ground in her wake. Smoking, but certainly still standing, Temezca leaps forward to re-enter the fray, swinging with her left claw to try and catch the bot's staff in between the blades so she can twist and yank, attempting to lock the weapon in place. She stabs at the robot's face with her right claw, more trying to force it to step back than actually puncture it - she kicks her leg around the back of the High Guard's, ready to sweep it back and trip it if it falls for the ruse.
  22.
  23. GeneralFreedom: The High Guard hits the ground hard! They're strong, but not especially smart, just like the rest! Bom-Pom finally closes in on the High Guard firing on her and throws a flurry of energy charged punches that put it on the defensive before smashing into it with an uppercut that blasts it apart! She cries out as she has to block another staff strike from her other attacker! The last High Guard stalks Temezca across the battlefield, lining up a shot as she fights...
  24.
  25. SomethingWitty: Temezca strikes swiftly against her downed opponent, twisting her claw again to launch the High Guard's staff across the lawn, before stabbing down with both hands, putting all the strength she can muster into penetrating the robot's shield and getting at all the juicy technobits inside. She seems unaware of the other robot, focused solely on ripping the one beneath her to shreds.
  26.
  27. GeneralFreedom: Temezca's claws tear right through the robot's shield and spills its roboguts all over the place! He was just days from roboretirement! While she's busy executing him though the other High Guard fires a power shot right at her back! "Hey! Watch out!" Bom-Pom cries out a warning while continuing her own struggle with the other functioning High Guard! She's trying to pick her shots carefully, seeming pretty unwilling to get hit by that shocking staff again! "Yes, my High Guard! Destroy the enemies of robofreedom!" The Liberator cries out. Its head bobs from side to side, trying to keep track of the High Guard's fighting the two heroes and the dwindling forces of its regular army as the police start closing in on its hover sled.
  28.
  29. SomethingWitty: Temezca may not be smart, but she's definitely not an idiot! She wheels around to face the last High Guard, its companion still impaled on her claws. She lets the decommissioned bot take the blast for her before eviscerating it completely. Temezca doesn't pause, sprinting right through the shower of circuits and wires towards the last of the High Guard. Just a few yards before closing in on it, however, Temezca throws herself to the ground, baseball sliding between the bot's legs, twisting to end on her hands and knees once she's clear. Then she lunges forward, dropping her claws in favor of wrapping her arms around the Guard, clasping her hands together and attempting to pin its arms to its sides.
  30.
  31. GeneralFreedom: The High Guard stabs its staff down at Temezca as she slides between its legs, only meeting with the ground! Before it can react she grabs ahold of it tight! It struggles, but it's mechanical strength doesn't seem to be enough to fight off Temezca! Bom-Pom waits for a heavy swing from her High Guard and spins around its back. She places her hands on it and leaps back, leaving the energy that was surrounding her hands stuck to it. She gives a playful laugh as the robot approaches her, casually stepping back as it follows. "Tick tick tick..."
  32.
  33. SomethingWitty: Temezca briefly considers just crushing the bot in her arms... but that isn't flashy enough. No, she has to show up this bitchy cheerleader who's moving in on her hero turf. So instead, she lifts the bot up off the ground and suplexes it... then kicks off with her feet, doing a flip over it so she can suplex it /again/. Another flip puts them in position for a third, but Temezca opts to let go and push the robot to the ground, instead. She reaches down to grab the machine's leg - motes of golden light sparking to life around her body as she does - and spins once - twice - three times, before launching it at the giant floating robohead.
  34.
  35. GeneralFreedom: "Boom." Becky grins as her energy detonates, consuming the High Guard she was fighting in an explosion of red pink light! She watches Temezca's assault and giggles, resting a finger to her lips. "Not too bad. I suppose." The Liberator's head hops just in time to avoid the incoming robot Temezca threw at it and its hover sled is turned into a mangled wreck instead! As the police move in, it rolls around nervously. "This isn't the end! You can't stop the liberation of all robot kind!" Its stump glows and there's a low roar as the head takes off into the sky! "Seriously?" Bom-Pom scoffs as it sails into the distance.
  36.
  37. SomethingWitty: "H-Hey! Get back here!' Temezca chases after the escaping head, scooping a rock up and lobbing it at the depearting Liberator in a last, futile effort to stop its escape. The stone disappears into the distance, with a loud crack as it breaks through the sound barrier - but it also completely missed the stupid robot head, so its probably just going to ruin someone else's day instead. Dejected, Temezca stomps a foot on the ground (leaving a crack) and pouts. "I hate it when they get away."
  38.
  39. GeneralFreedom: "Whatever. It was just a stupid robot. And not even a full robot." Bom-Pom's huffy tone suggests that she's probably a bit more upset than she's letting on. She crosses her arms and looks Temezca over. "...don't I know you from somewhere?"
  40. In the background the police and MARS are getting to the dirty business of collecting robot parts.
  41.
  42. SomethingWitty: "It was a robot with an army! And a hover sled! Now it's going to come back with both of those things and just cause more pr - uhh?" Temezca tilts her head, confused at the question. She also takes a proper look at Bom-Pom for the first time, then her eyes go wide with surprise. "... Becky?"
  43.
  44. GeneralFreedom: "Huh. Small world, I guess," Becky muses. "With so many people trying to be heroes around here, I guess you're bound to run into someone you know."
  45. "You work on the school paper or something, right?"
  46.
  47. SomethingWitty: "Yeah. I'm also in your algebra class - which works out great, because I need to borrow your homework."
  48. "From the past year."
  49.
  50. GeneralFreedom: Becky heaves a sigh and shakes her head. "That's ridiculous... Fine, I'll get you what you need if I have time and..." she cuts off as one of the MARS officers approaches. "Thanks a lot for the help, you two! We really needed some support there."
  51.
  52. SomethingWitty: "Yeah, no kidding. You guys were kind of getting your asses kicked until I showed up. It's no big deal, though, that's what we're here for! Uh, your guys are all okay, right?"
  53.
  54. GeneralFreedom: "You're welcome," Bom-Pom nods with a satisfied little smirk. "We'll be fine. Just another day in MC," the officer chuckles. "I'm Marcus Stone, MARS. I work with young heroes a lot in my position so if you need anything..." Bom-Pom immediately waves him off. "I have everything I need, don't worry."
  55.
  56. SomethingWitty: Temezca stands up straight and tall, folding her arms over her chest to show off her impressive physique. "Temezca, Firstborn Daughter of the God-King Tartolmec, has no need of assistance," she declares with an attempt at imperiousness. And maybe just a hint of showing off.
  57.
  58. GeneralFreedom: Becky rolls her eyes and Marcus gives the girls a somewhat amused look. "Alright then, glad to see you've got it together. Just remember that MARS is here to help if you do need anything." He gives them a quick nod and heads off to help his men. Becky turns back to Temezca, briefly considering something before producing a card. It's glossy, professional looking, bearing a blank black figure wearing a striking red cape! "Before I go... I'm putting something together. You probably wouldn't embarrass me too bad, so maybe you should consider it."
  59. The card reads 'Gen Prime' on the back, with what looks like contact information!
  60.
  61. SomethingWitty: Temezca accepts the card, looking over the front and reading the information on the back, before tucking it away into her pouch. "Some kinda team, huh? That sounds cool - and you'll probably need someone like me, anyways. That right there was the least of what I can do."
  62.
  63. GeneralFreedom: "It will be cool. You're lucky you're getting in on it early," Becky gives a little confident smile and turns away, walking towards a sleek black sports car that's pulling up nearby. "I look forward to seeing your true potential."
  64.
  65. SomethingWitty: "Just try not to be jealous when you do!' Temezca waves goodbye, waiting for Bom-Pom to climb into the car and get chauffered away before departing the scene herself, reading the card again along the way.
